As the seasons change, and the cold winter is left behind us, we celebrate the coming of the Spring Season. Set between the dates of the start of Spring and the Spring Festival that celebrates The Chinese New Year, Sword Art Online's Festival spans out throughout all of the Floors players can access, various trees sprouting cherry blossoms and other spring flowers, as well as various spring-like decorations. However, the main celebration can be will be held in Taft, the thriving city found on Floor Eleven. All throughout the town's square, rows upon rows of tents, kiosks, and canopies are set up, housing various vendors of food, trinkets, and carnival games. All of the female NPC's can be seen wearing kimonos of various bright colors, adorned with flowers and ribbons. The men, wearing a traditional Haori, or other types of robes. Entertainers of all kinds, dancers, clowns, costumed characters and the like walk the streets of the festival, bringing a smile to the faces of all.

As the sun goes down, the festival is lined with paper lanterns, strung from tent to tent, hanging above the heads of those walking in between. Finally, at the end of every night to celebrate, fireworks are set off from the mountains a ways off from the city, signaling the end of the festival for the night.

All players are invited to take part in the festivities, and have messages sent to their inboxes, reminding them of the event.

The Open Party for this event, signalling the start of The Spring Festival, will open on March 1st. The event will continue on for the next week (subject to change depending on activity)

All players who participate in the Open Party on Floor 11 will receive ONE of the following Vanity Items:

- Cherry Blossom Pin: A large cherry blossom attached to a pin, two pink ribbons tied to the stem and hanging downward. Could be work as a pin, or as a hair piece.
Given out by an a beautiful woman wearing a flowing pink kimono, sitting under a cherry blossom tree, crafting said hair pieces. The woman will give the player one of her projects if the player compliments her (either on her looks or pins) and picks one of the flowers off of the tree for her to work on.

- Kitsune Mask: A mask representing the face of a Kitsune, or a fox.
Given as a prize after winning one of the festival's games. The player must roll an LD of 10+ while playing the game to win.

- Firework: A single roman candle that shoots off into the sky when activated, setting off three explosions of various colors.
Given out by the pyrotechnic, who starts his walk from the festival to the mountains outside of town, struggling to carry a large amount of fireworks. He will end up dropping a firework or two on the way, which the player must pick up and return to him. The player can choose to either keep the explosive, or return it to the man (he will let the player keep it for his honesty.) This is merely a vanity item, it CANNOT be used for combat.
