Takeshi Kurogane is an average high school student. Unfortunately, due to his bad social skills which cause him to appear rude and blunt it's been hard for him to make friends. However, if one got to actually know him, they'd be able to tell he's a kind and caring person. Once others got to know him, they'd see him as more of a carefree person. Unfortunately, because of the usual harsh first impression, not many people really got to know him. He wanted to change that when he bought the game Sword Art Online. He wanted to keep up his carefree demeanor the entire time in the game as his avatar Steel, hopefully changing him in real life too. That plan sort of half worked as he still kept his bluntness and his rudeness on first impression but on the bright side, it became a lot easier for him to act his kinder self around others. When he along with the other players were trapped in Sword Art Online, he became determined to help others get through the game.
