  3. [8/12/19] Okay, perhaps that went a bit too smoothly. Was Athena listening? Maybe she could hear her disappointment from the previous day and decided to send a blessing her way. NIGHT held up the three crafts in her hand, adjusted and modeled to perfection. It almost felt like luck was getting back at her for not succeeding before. She hadn't seen such fine work from herself in a while, so she immersed herself in it, patting herself on the back for once. Placing them gently on one side of the table, she took her time to fan away the fading particles from one of her less success
  4. [7/12/19] It had been a while since she'd gotten back to crafting, having been on adventures during the down time. Setting down Nyanko from her latest expedition, she changed into her casual clothes with a few finger gestures, before heading over to her desk, placing materials down on the wooden desk. With Athena's Lens, it was easier to examine her items as she was making them. A tweak here, an adjustment there, but it didn't really seem to make much of a difference. The lens was just a tool, after all. NIGHT huffed as she leaned back in her chair, making peace with the idea that sh
  5. A merchant's shop? On Floor 1? Finally, NIGHT sighed, pushing open the door haphazardly. Her senses were immediately greeted with a pleasant, homely smell between book pages, but her eyes were cast with a dreary view. Immediately, her senses to keep things clean kicked in, but begrudgingly, she held them still. M-Maybe this was on purpose, yeah--!! Struggling to keep her hands to herself, she placed the items she wanted to be rid of onto the counter, grimacing madly and bouncing about on the spot. "Junk selling," she spoke, in a low voice, trying to keep her eyes on the shop keep and not
  6. The man's stare was intimidating, to say the least, as though NIGHT herself was being judged to be worthy of the shop's wares. When the shopkeep finally began crafting did she sigh internally, having tried to keep a straight face in front of him. False exteriors gave way to a kindness, though, when he'd opened up a trade window to pass her back the payment she'd sent over. The woman was taken aback by this, but acknowledged it either way. "I-I mean, if you're sure," she stammered out, with a swift and deep bow in return. "Thank you very much!"
  7. Perhaps she didn't need to leave the store at all, rather stick around it for a little more than a handful of minutes. When she returned a few hours later, the equipment had already been made, laid out together on the counter. The woman couldn't help but feel satisfied when she spotted them, and went over to pick up the pieces. Exactly as she had envisioned, in perfect condition. Storing them in her inventory for a later date, she thanked the shopkeeper with a bow -- Macradon, was it? She'll have to keep that in mind, NIGHT figured, as she made her way out the shop, onwards to anoth
  8. NIGHT was familiar with the first floor, but she hadn't been to all its nooks and crannies before. The red blaze of the sign had caught her eye and she headed inside. She'd put her faith in the equipment the shop was offering, if the goods were as well crafted as the owner had guaranteed. So here were her (seemingly) tough requests. Scrawling out a set of instructions, she set the request slip to the side, writing instrument holding the paper steady. A quick, wordless wave, and she was off, counting down the seconds until her item would be completed. @Macradon
  9. Bahr? Like the guy who fell in the forest the other day? NIGHT wore a look of permanent confusion, while Nyanko looked onwards, curious and even a little excited. She'd known the shop was her neighbour, but never really looked into it too much. Shrugging, she entered the store, and was immediately welcomed by the homely atmosphere of the interior. If she wasn't so accustomed to her own workshop, she might've asked to rent a space somewhere in here. Instead, she had written down a set of instructions -- a request of sorts -- and had the sheet of paper set down by the counter. @Bahr
  10. "When did you get strong enough to do that, NIGHT? I'm impressed." Her ears pricked up at the compliment, and she turned tentatively, losing all tension from her stance. Her blade was slung onto her shoulder as the elemental fell and scattered into pieces, its deafening wails and its fragments starting to be blown away by the wind. "Uh... Same way you do, right? Training and numbers?" She posed, tilting her head, a raised brow towards Yukiro. She then looked over to Tala, raising an open palm to gesture. "I'm not sure if that was what you came here for, but that's the field boss se

    Rewarding Staff Members

I can't find myself voting appropriately in the poll unless I know what the rewards are, but I do feel like they should be compensated in some way. It's hard to find myself saying yes for in-game rewards, though I know that managing the community takes up hours that can't be fed back into roleplaying for one's own sake. On the other hand, this could cause an imbalance, however to what effect this might be, I'm not capable of saying. An external reward, on the other hand? I think I can support that even more. Commissions, a unique theme, a gift or favour, a custom quest? Podcast shout out?
  13. "That's all I needed to know." NIGHT stated firmly, before glancing at Tala. "As much as I'd like to see you prove it," she added, her tone gentler this time, "I don't think you'd be in much of a position to do so. Not when you're shaking cold." The woman gave her a wincing smile, understanding her plight, if only a fraction of it. Then she turned, continuing down the path. Nyanko meeped gently as the two passed the snowman, his head sticking out and watching their friend pass them by. "This shouldn't take long," the player commented, sending the two a quick party invite, not checking to
  14. Huh. I should've expected Yukiro to tag along too, since she's new and all. Wait, but never at a higher floor... NIGHT raised a brow as the two approached her, folding her arms, trying to regain her cool as she stepped aside, hiding her (and Nyanko's) crudely made snowman from direct view. Recalling her intended mark, her hand instinctively went to twirling a lock of her hair as she lied, gauging Yukiro's response. "Yknow, if I wasn't so busy, I would've been ahead long ago," she announced. "If you're here about the ice golem, then I'm still on the hunch that we're talking to t
  15. Finally, the final touches. In NIGHT's hand were a number of small pebbles, personally paw-picked by Nyanko himself. He squealed as he squatted lightly on the woman's shoulder, her hand gently placing the rocks into position on the snowman. Four pebbles for each eye, and a curved line of them for its mouth... When she was done, she took a step back. It looked kind of adorable! She couldn't help but giggle, picking up her kitten and coddling him gently. "Does it look nice, you think?" "Mew!" "It's my first time," she reminded him, and herself, a big grin stuck on her face as she
  16. Damn, Yukiro. Guess you really do like helping out newbies, huh? "It's NIGHT," she claimed, extending a gloved hand for a shake, adding a confident smile to boot. "That's nice to hear. I hope he's been treating you well?" She took a glance at the man hammering away at the banner still, before turning back to her conversationalist. "And it's nice to meet you. Should I call you Emily or Snow?" the player asked as she tilted her head. "It's alright to be nervous when you're starting out, I think. You'll get used to it, I'm sure." Facing Randal, she mentioned, "The food's alright. I take
  17. Wow, Yukiro. What's all this about? NIGHT sauntered up to the banner, watching the knight hammer away at the display. She folded her arms, curious. "Is this your work?" She hollered up to him, almost impressed. "Curious. One moment you're off hunting, the next you're setting up a party." "I hope I'll see you enjoying the festivities yourself, martyr," she jested, with a smile, any hostilities dripping unconsciously, before stepping under the notice, crossing the barrier between responsibilities and festivities. Looks like a handful of other players were already about. NIGHT sp
  18. "Here we go--!" NIGHT lifted the dense snowball, holding her breath as she carried it over to the larger, idle first. One careful plop, and she now had a base for her snowman. She began trying to meld the two pieces together, ensuring that her creation was steady, giggling at the thought of what might be the outcome. "How's it going over there, Nyanko?" "Meep!" The kitten stumbled along, pulling his second tiny twig over, his tiny mouth barely able to keep hold of the stick. When he was close enough, NIGHT gently pulled at the twig, allowing Nyanko to pass it over to her. She grabbed the
  19. The snowball got bigger, and bigger. Eventually, NIGHT had to stop, despite being two-thirds of the way to her destination. The snowball had grown to about half her height, and to the woman, that was already way more snow than she had ever expected to gather. "Okay," she grinned, dusting the snow off her gloves. "One more of these." "Mew!" Nyanko squeaked, struggling to hop out of her pocket. She chuckled, and pulled the kitten out, setting him down on the snowy floor. "Okay, okay. You can bring me some sticks, alright? Make sure they're not too big for you." Nyanko returned another
  20. Perhaps the Yukinko were only visible within the forest. While on the path, the only creatures she'd spotted were small foxes and a passing deer or two. She checked in with Nyanko, who mewed when she'd asked. He hadn't spotted anything either. Well, there was no harm in taking a pleasant walk. Oh, you know what? She could make a snowman. Like, a real, life-sized snowman this time. "Nyanko," she whispered over to the kitten. "C'mon, I'll show you something." "Mew!" NIGHT squatted, piling up some snow in her hands. She'd guessed if anyone else were on their way to visit the i
  21. NIGHT checked the hunt bill in the form of a message. An ice golem. She'd picked it up from the information broker she'd visited before, and was really hesitating to pursue it, lest another spat amongst players, if not friends, broke out once more. It was on Floor 4, and so she had shown up in bulky clothing again, reviewing her mark at the centre of town. Nyanko was also bundled up in a blanket in her pocket, cheerfully murping at the familiar landscape. Cute. NIGHT knew she needed the relief given from her kitten. So she set off, into the forest she went. There were co-ordinates given,

  23. Looks like Nora came in again. NIGHT set down her tea, rising to attend to her friend. After hearing about what she was looking for, she repeated, thinking. "Loot dice, huh..?" Nora pointed out the item she wanted -- between the two available, the amber clover pendant seemed to stand out. "Sure, I'll package the pendant for you. Are you planning to gather with it? I think it might be of use in that situation." She headed behind the counter and started to fold and roll the item in with a paper cover, before tucking it in and sealing it off with a sticker. NIGHT handed over

  25. [4/11/19] Things went a little smoother today, NIGHT figured. Her confidence had been restored from yesterday's 'salvage training', prompting her to go all out for today's crafts -- until she ran out of materials. Holding up four items to the light, she wondered if she would ever create something of perfection ever again. Maybe it was just luck at this point. NIGHT set the items down on their respective displays, tagging them with a price, before sweeping the room of any dust that had settled within the past few days. At the end of the day's work, she rested by having some tea on th
