Rushing forward Calrex unleashed his most powerful combo once again, the Grand Blade becoming coated in the shining golden glow of the <<Meteor Break>> Sword Art. Combining it with his <<Charge>> skill once again his blade ripped into the creature, tearing it apart with the blurring series of slashes before it dissipated into crystals.

Giving a sigh of relief that the extended battle was over the bluenette shook his head before looking around, "Alright, where's the next one?"

Closing his eyes for a few seconds Calrex felt his hearing temporarily take focus of his senses as he heard the screams of the next creature approach him from the right. Turning his head as his eyes snapped open he immediately focused on the creature, triggering his <<Charge>> skill once more. As he charged forward his <<Meteor Break>> Sword Art activated once again as he let the assisted system take over, slamming into the creature before unleashing the rapid series of slashes and stabs before ending the combo with another falling slash.

The corrupted human promptly burst into crystals from the damage as the Ultramarine Knight partially lowered his sword arm, "I've still got enough energy for one more fight. Let's see if there is another monster nearby."

Going over another hilltop Calrex spied a fifth monster roaming amongst the graves, giving a small sigh of relief that he didn't have to travel far to find it.

Readying his sword he prepared to charge before the creature's detection area found him, the corrupted human turning to show its blood red eyes. Giving a pained wail it barreled towards him once again. Since he didn't have time to charge up his attack the bluenette quickly leapt to the side, avoiding the charge before lowering himself into his fighting stance, "Alright, next opening..."

As the opportunity presented itself Calrex unleashed <<Charge>> and <<Meteor Break>> once again, the Grand Blade blazing alight with the technique as he flew forward. His actions guided by the assisted system the Ultramarine Knight slammed into the corrupted human with a shoulder charge before slashing rapidly, breaking the sword barrage with another tackle before ending the entire combo with a leaping fall slash.

The final attack cleaved the monster in half for a second before it burst into crystals. With the fifth of the series of battles over Calrex confirmed he was out of energy, giving a sigh of relief, "Alright, now for some more out of combat gathering. I think I might get started making a small trip back to the boutique to rest for a bit, then head back out."

As he made his way back towards the Amethyst Boutique Calrex continued to scavenge the area for any sign of objects useful as materials in crafting, but it seemed the route he had taken was barren of such items. Even the roses, jewels, worms, and obsidian ores he had found previously were absent from the landscape. Giving a small sigh he put his hands into his pockets, glancing upwards at his companion as Roc soared overhead.

"Well, let's see if I can find anything else beforehand."

"Still nothing so far...Hm."

Continuing his trek Calrex was still unable to procure and materials from the environment as his hands combed across the dead grass. There were no signs of any useful items, no matter how hard he looked. At this point he wasn't even sure if adding more to his searching ability would have yielded any results. The area was simply dead in terms of any sign of potential life.

"Well, this isn't a graveyard theme for nothing. Maybe those ones I found were some of the only spawning points on this floor."

"...somehow I think I might be right. That or the spawn frequency for those areas is much longer than any of the other floors."

With a small sigh Calrex dusted off his hands once again, seeing that his energy had replenished back to full. It had been another decent amount of time spent trying to find materials, but nothing seemed to yield from the environment. Putting his hands into his jacket pockets he saw the Amethyst Boutique come back into view.

However, standing between him and the shop's entrance was another group of corrupted humans. They didn't seem trained on attacking the artisan store, but with them present there was no chance the Ultramarine Knight would be able to enter without gaining the aggro of at least two of them.

With a small sigh he drew the Grand Blade, "Guess I'd better clear these guys out first."

Giving a small sigh Calrex rushed forward as he got into the detection range of the creatures, drawing the attention of the first of the group. The corrupted human gave a pained moan as it turned to face the bluenette before charging forward, attempting to ram into the player.

However, it's attack only met air as Calrex easily sidestepped the charge, turning to face the creature as its momentum carried it out of striking range. Giving a small sigh the Ultramarine Knight lowered himself into his fighting stance, preparing to attack.

As the first creature attempted to attack again Calrex quickly used his <<Disguise>> skill to project the clone illusion. The quick pause of hesitation from the creature gave him the window of opportunity needed as he unleashed <<Charge>> and <<Meteor Break>>, rushing forward as he charged and slashed in a blur of golden cuts before ending the attack with a fierce piercing stab with both hands on the Grand Blade's hilt.

If he had not stopped his momentum it would have been likely he would have pinned the creature to the wall of the Amethyst Boutique. Giving a calming breath he swiftly extracted his sword, turning to face the second creature, "One down, four to go."

Quickly turning to face the second corrupted human Calrex saw that it was already in striking range when its sickle stabbed into his collarbone. Giving a calming breath he quickly pushed it off before unleashing his <<Meteor Break>> and <<Charge>> combination once again. The blurring flurry of blows ripped into the creature almost as if it was responding to the attack just a few seconds ago.

The technique ended with the bluenette performing yet another jumping drop slash, cleaving the creature in half before it burst into crystals. Giving a breath of relief he turned, looking at the loot window as he did, "Oh, hey another pouch. I'm sure Teayre will make good use of it."

Quickly facing the third corrupted human standing in front of the Amethyst Boutique Calrex rushed forward, triggering his <<Charge>> and <<Meteor Break>> abilities once again as he assaulted the creature with the barrage of slashes and tackles iconic of the Sword Art. Reducing the creature's health to zero with the single attack, the monster burst into crystals as the Ultramarine Knight gave a sigh of relief.

"Only two more to go..."

As Calrex had completed destroying the third corrupted human, the fourth attempted to attack. Quickly whirling around the bluenette quickly evaded the incoming attack, but doing so also put him out of striking range of the opposing monster. Giving a calming breath he tightened his grip on the Grand Blade before positioning himself in a better spot to counterattack.

"Alright then, just wait for the opportunity to strike, just like all the ones that came before. Time this right, and the battle will be over before you know it."

Rocketing forward once again Calrex triggered <<Charge>> and <<Meteor Break>>, unleashing the barrage of attacks on the fourth corrupted human as he tackled and slashes his way through the creature until it burst into crystals. Sliding to a stop the bluenette gave a calming breath, releasing the tension in his sword arm as he turned to face the final remaining monster standing between him and the Amethyst Boutique's entrance.

"Last one..."

Rushing forward before the creature had a chance to act Calrex triggered his <<Charge>> and <<Meteor Break>> Sword Art, flying forward before unleashing the rapid combo of slashes and shoulder rushes, knocking the creature left and right before finishing it off with a leaping fall slash. The strike cleaved the creature in half before it burst into crystals.

With the series of battles over Calrex flipped the Grand Blade into a reverse grip before resheathing it, giving a sigh of relief, "Alright, now to rest for a bit."

Entering through the doors of the Amethyst Boutique Calrex gave a sigh of relief as he locked the entrance behind him, walking over to the couch and sitting down. Swiping on his menu, sending the Grand Blade back to his inventory he leaned back, looking up at the ceiling. Unlike the barren wasteland of the floor outside, the store retained the warm and welcoming appearance it always had on the fourth floor.

"Guess I'll rest for a bit before heading back out again."

Oddly enough, as Calrex continued to rest within the Amethyst Boutique, he looked and saw something sparkly behind the counter. Getting to his feet he walked over, kneeling down to see what it was that got his attention. To his surprise, it was two pieces of material that he had brought Teayre in the past. Apparently at some point they had fallen down on the floor. Scratching the back of his head he gave a small sigh before swiping on his menu to add them to his shared inventory.

Returning back to the couch he resumed his rest, "Still...I hope she's doing alright..."

"Actually...now that I think about it how long as it been since I stopped associating these sensations with a simulation generated by the game. I guess in some ways it's just more convenient for the mind to see things as what it wants to believe they are, rather than what it probably should know it is. Even if it is a simulation, the sensations and feelings I've experienced in this game are close enough that I would consider them real. Of course...there's only one feeling that I know is real, and it's part of what's driving me forward."

Sitting up the Ultramarine Knight moved some of his hair from in front of his face before getting back to his feet, stretching his arms, "Alright then, I've rested enough. Time to get back to the grind."

Upon exiting the Amethyst Boutique Calrex immediately locked the door behind him. Right as he heard the lock engage suddenly he sat a sickle embed into the spot next to him, quickly turning to see another corrupted villager had already spawn, ready to fight. Gritting his teeth he quickly took a few steps backwards before activating <<Charge>>, causing him to fly forward with explosive force. At the same time he ripped the Grand Blade from its sheath, activating <<Meteor Break>>.

The golden aura-covered sword ripped into the creature, eliminating it in a single barrage as it burst into crystals.

Giving a sigh of relief the Ultramarine Knight looked over a decent distance to see that four more were not too far off, "Alright, best get a move on."

Rushing forward to take on the next set of enemies Calrex brought the Grand Blade up, his sword arm's shoulder back while his free arm came up parallel to the ground, bent at the elbow in front of him. As he got into striking range he triggered <<Charge>> and <<Meteor Break>> once again, flying forward into the second creature while <<Meteor Break>> was used.

The golden-aura coated Grand Blade slashed rapidly through the creature once again before the bluenette shoulder charged into the corrupted human, knocking back before leaping up and forward to deliver the finishing down slash on it.

As it burst into crystals the Ultramarine Knight didn't waste a second to check the loot window before targeting the next monster.

Quickly engaging the third corrupted Calrex gave a calming breath before making a slight sway back then forward to regain his momentum, triggering <<Charge>> to dash forward at his target. Closing the distance he saw yet another diamond petal-like gateway appear in front of him, accelerating further as he passed through. Unleashing <<Meteor Break>> once again he rapidly slashed through the creature before ending the combo with a fierce slash, wrenching the Grand Blade out to the side.

The creature burst into crystals as he whirled around, targeting the fourth monster for his next attack.
