[Shop-F1]The blazing Typhoon [Rank 10 Grand Master Blacksmith]

Recommended Posts

He would lay forth his materials and turn on the furnace. This request would be difficult, he wanted to be the top black smith at the time, and he was in need of crafting to level up this ability. This traveler has come upon the Blazing Typhoon, requesting a sword, this request would not be at ease. Macradon would open up the HUD and press the crafting menu, beginning to forge a <>. He would insert the materials into the furnace. He would keep repeating heating and hammering until it became the shape he wanted. Sinking the blade in oil to cool off, he would then carve a wooden handle and apply a leather grip to it. The color was slight dark brown, close to black, but not quite, even though the requested item was a Black sword. He would sample all the pieces together and look at the weapon's stats.

''Wow, this is really good'' he would say as a notice message popped up.

''You have created a Rare item''

He would wipe off the sweat form his forehead as he would walk out into the open shop.

''I'm back!'' he would say as he would show his masterpiece on a pillow.

''I hope this comforts you'' he said with a smile on his face.

"Ahhh ... a curved sword you say ... hmm ... I'll try!'' he would say as he would take the note book forth.

''Anything specific you want for him?'' he asked with a pen in his hand and a note block in the other. He would head into the the crafting room whenever the notes were all written down on the paper.

The hammer would clang as he would hammer the ingot into a good size, though something terrible happened. His hammer broke and the manufacturing stopped, everything stopped as it is.

''No ... No!'' he would say as the sword ended out as a bad sword. He would lay it to the side, grab a better hammer and get to work again.

  • 1 year later...

"Alright, been a while, girl" He said as he walked into his shop again, it was getting dusty, but he wouldn't mind at all, made it more rustic. He just took a broom and dusted everything off, just so it wasn't too dirty. He would walk back into his workshop, this is where the magic happens! He would open up his chest, take out a steel ingot. He would turn on the furnace and wait for it to get to a right temperature. He would wait, just a couple of seconds. The would grab the iron ingot with tongs and put it onto the furnace, waiting for it to reach a heat hot enough for him to draw out the sword blade. As the ingot turned bright red, a few yellow and white areas, he would begin to take it out and onto the anvil to draw out the blade. Hammer and hammer until the sword was getting cold again, then he would but it into the furnace again, heating it up and hammering the blade out and repeat. When he was at a blade he liked, he would draw out and flatten the tang at the end of the blade. Now, the blade was finished. He would quench it, file out a bevel, crape out and file the fuller and buff the sword entirely. He would then attach guard, handle and pommel. To finish it off he would pin the tang on the outside of the pommel to get everything compressed and ready for use. But as he looked at it, it was rubbish. He would display it at a show piece in the front in his shop.

He would wipe off his sweat from his forehead and try again. "Maybe one handed swords are to difficult" he said as he would sit down at his table and try to make something new. He drew out a new design, a two handed sword. "Now this looks like something I could use!" he exclaimed, took out more ingots and began forging again. This time he was more careful in what he was doing. Slowly dragging out the sword's shape and slowly quenching and heat treating it. He would be much more detailed in the process and would slowly begin to sharpen it, and creating the fuller. He would be as precise as possible, not to make something so rubbish. "Alright ... steaaady" he said as he would finish the blade. He would attach the whole assembly, blade, guard, pommel, but there was something he forgot. 'Oh yeah, the rain guard' he thought, quickly beginning to draw out a rain guard from the guard's upper lip. 'That's it' he thought as he would assemble everything and pin it to fit tightly together. It was done, a big sword. He would think of a good name for this masterpiece of his. He thought, thinking what to do with it. 'Hm ... oh!' he thought and begin to carve it on the base of the sword. He would slowly groove out the name of it and would end up with a nice and smooth name for it, "Crusader!".

Name: Crusader

Type: Two-handed straight sword

Quality: Perfect

Enchantment: +3 Damage

Description: Crusader is a straight 2 handed show, forged in The Blazing Typhoon by blacksmith Macradon. Its tapered blade makes it easier to cleave with and the spikes on the bottom makes it easy to lock another sword into a grip. A fuller is scraped down the center of the blade to lift off some weight from the massive blade. As a guard, Crusader has an Aquila brass'd up. Not only does it give the sword proper balance to counter the weight of the big blade, but it also leaves a well looking aesthetic to the sword. The pommel is a titanium coated iron ingot compressed by hammering it into shape from a whole ingot. The grip covered in red stained leather. The construction is pinned together by the tang.

Congratulations

You have created a perfect item!

The announcement said to Macradon, he was glad that all his hard work wasn't just some fancy looking decorative thing ... 'Dragon's Sorrow' he instantly thought of as that thought of a fancy decorative thing strafed his mind. He would chuckle a little bit and sit down again, trying to draw a one handed curved sword this time. 'I'm not too good at this curved sword thing, so maybe I should practice' he thought and began drawing out a design on paper, then real scale on paper. He thought it looked great. He would go try it out on the an iron ingot, slowly drawing out the shape, but then, he was too fast to hammer and the ingot was still too brittle when he began drawing out the blade, it snapped. 'Another bad item ...' he thought as he would try to see what he did wrong.

''This isn't going great'' he said out loud, trying to think of what he did wrong here, curved swords really were difficult to make compared to straight swords. This time, he would hesitate with the hammering and surely wait for it to soften up before drawing out the blade. He would slowly draw it out as it was soft enough. Slowly dragging it out and slowly shaping it. Everything was going great, he quenched it buffed it up as he had done all the filing, grinding and sharpening. He would then put on a handle and a pommel. He would try to give it a quick test swing and a hack into the armor stand. As he hit the stand the sword broke. 'A bad item' he thought as he would try to salvage as much as possible.

This time he was aware of his mistakes. He forgot to heat treat it. First the brittle iron, now he forgot to heat treat it. "Dammit!" he said and punched the table. He would look at the last ingot he could make a sword out of. ''Third time's the charm'' he said as he began to turn on the furnace again. He would slowly make the ingot hot, but he son forgot it was in there while he was drawing a design for it. The ingot became so hot it began to slowly melt inside the furnace. At the time he remembered it was too late, the ingot was not something he could make a sword off anymore.

He stepped into his workshop again this lovely morning. 'Time to get working' he thought as he would sit down at his desk again and begin to draw out designs for sword he would like to make. He started out making a few basic designs for one handed straight swords and slowly working towards curved swords, this was getting difficult, he wasn't the best blacksmith to make curved swords, he wasn't sure on what he did wrong all the time. It was the curved sword he was trying to get a hold on, he had to learn it somehow.  It wasn't really that bad that he wasn't a curved sword expert, surely some other blacksmiths are capable of creating good curved swords, just not this guy. He would try with an iron ingot and try to draw out the blade, but it failed. The ingot was not probably heated up by the furnace.

Frustrated as he was, he would calmly take another ingot out and put it into he furnace, slowly heating it up to a temperature where it would be capable of hammering and drawing out the blade. 'Hm ... what are curved swords good for' he thought trying to get a good design for the sword. Curved swords are great at cutting because of the curvature, so something about a curved blade that would look great and be able to cut. He would think about different kinds of sabers, they had a basket hilt, he liked basket hilts so this would include one. It should look like a noble's blade, close to rapier thin. He would draw out the blade and make it long, close to longsword length, but thinner to take up some of the weight. The basket hilt would be special, it was the first time he actually made one, but it would be fun for him to learn some nice techniques this way. The blade was thin ans small, the handle was made of wood with brown wiring tied around it. The steel guard was brass'd and coated with a red metal alloy that would keep the shine. A nice blade indeed.

He would grab an iron ingot and begin to make a sword, he already had something simple in his mind, a rapier! This was easy, slowly drawing out a light and thin blade, slowly and precise. But he hammered a bit too much and the blade got warped, bent and ended up breaking. He was really tired of all these fail he was doing, it was really tiring but what could he do, he wasn't the best blacksmith, he just had to do it like someone on the internet once said.

He would go on making a sword again, same design. He would heat up the iron ingot in the furnace and waited for it to gain the temperature he needed and would then take the red glowing ingot out of the furnace. He would slowly draw out the blade, slowly and made sure he wasn't warping the blade, not bending it or making it too thin. He would finish up the blade, sharpen it and buff it to look shiny. As the sword was finished, he would take the sword and try to salvage any materials from it, as well as the trashers he had out in the shop.

Salvaging 4 weapons for materials. He would try with the rapier first, it failed, he wasn't capable of salvaging the material from the rapier and it vanished. Next was a one handed curved sword, slowly trying to extract he iron from it, successfully salvaged a material from the sword. Rinse and repeat. He ended up with two materials salvaged from the swords, that's a 50% which wasn't bad at all. He would prepare the materials and turn on the furnace.

Third time is the charm as he had thought all the time, even though it didn't seem like it was working as it should. He would grab a material and begin to heat it up in the furnace. Through all this time he had failed once again, everything went wrong. Maybe it's because its his first time trying to make a rapier, it was difficult getting the right shape while also keep it straight and thin enough.
