[PP-F3] You're my friends now. (Cilla, Zelrius)

Recommended Posts

Priscilla had wandered onto the third floor, absolutely loving the scenery of Delilah Village, but she didn't have time like usual to just explore or people watch. She had already spoken with an NPC on a previous floor to begin a quest by the name of "Feeding the Enemy," which unlike the other quests she had departed on, wasn't restricted to a certain floor. While it was an unexplored floor for her, she came to this floor specifically for an adorable creature that she had only heard about in rumours. Of course, she knew that this wasn't a dangerous quest per say, but she most certainly would appreciate a bit of help with the hunt if it was indeed a rare creature, especially if she got to spend the time with someone fun. Pulling up the messaging menu, she sent off a quick message to the most recent addition to her friend's list, Zelrius, before making her way to the town gates where the flowers grew in abundance.

Spoiler

<<Feeding the Enemy>>

This quest may take place on any Floor
This quest is not repeatable, unless your previous familiar is dead or has died
This RP will not count in the benchmark

An old gypsy NPC woman approaches you. She tells you that if you feed a monster, it may become tamed and accompany you on adventures, and sometimes even help you. However, taming a familiar is very rare, and you may even be damaged by the familiar. Use caution. This quest can be taken on any floor.

Requirements:

-At least two [2] Pages (21 or more posts)
- Must buy a common food item

Rewards:

  1. The title <<(Insert beast's type name) Tamer>>
  2. A familiar (Possibly, view chart below.)
  3. 1 Skill Point

Familiar Results:
When feeding a familiar, you have one chance to tame a familiar every 15 posts. That means you may only roll the loot die for the familiar on the fifteenth post. If you don't want a familiar that you tamed without buffs, you may kill it and continue searching. Use the loot die to see if you do.
As such you can only successfully obtain the familiar on each 15th post for example: 15, 30, 45, 60 etc, etc.

[1] Ouch! The mob attacks you and deals half of your health in damage, then flees. You may not tame the familiar now.
[2-10] The mob is not interested.
[11-18] Success! You have tamed a familiar. This familiar must be smaller than a large dog and cannot add buffs or support you.
[19+] Success! You have tamed a familiar. This familiar must be smaller than a large dog and adds a buff like an Uncommon Item. Must be approved by a GM.

EXTRA: If you had a familiar before this quest, you may have them as companion with no buffs or support mechanisms. Or, you may take your familiar and turn them into an Uncommon item. This item could be a feather, a jewel... just little trinkets. Parties or Groups are encouraged, though only the player who leads this quest will receive the familiar That means ONLY ONE FAMILIAR CAN BE OBTAINED PER TOPIC.

Recommended Level: Any

Zelrius had just completed his little quest with Manta, up to the point where she said she needed to hurry off somewhere. With that, The boy was left bored once again, his entertainment already being gone for the day. Wandering around the Guild Hall, Zelrius tried to think of anything to do, and perhaps he'd go nuke a few Quest bosses for some extra SP. That was his plan of action, until a Notification came up. He sighed, opening his menu to read it, expecting it to be From Tristan or someone telling him it was time for another Boss, though that seemed unlikely. To his surprise, it was from that Low Levelled girl he had met on the Fifth Floor from a bit of a scene she had with someone else. While he would go down to Floor 3 to meet up with her, the wording gave him a slight uneasiness 'A bit of fun.' Either this was a bait to get him killed, Bad wording on her part, or a really cliche hint. He ruled out the last one, given Zelrius didn't think the girl was like that at all. Zelrius selected the reply button

After he had clicked the 'send' button, Zelrius quickly went to his stash to store an Ookami potion in his inventory. With that, he checked the rest of his gear and headed to Delilah Village on the Third floor. Once there, it was a short walk to the gate where he noticed the now somewhat-familiar figure of Cilla. "So, a Hike you say? What for?" He as more afraid of this being a bait to get him PKed more than anything else.

Priscilla had made it to the gate just moments before receiving the responding message from Zelrius, leaving her quite delighted to know that he would soon be here to accompany her. She considered sending a message back, thanking him or an emoticon as a simple response, but neither seemed right or appropriate. Coming to a solution, she figured she wouldn't respond whatsoever, seeing as they had plenty of time for chatter during this quest. Without having to wait too long, she would soon be met by the familiar face from two floors above, "Salutations!" She waved to him as he came in sight and greeted him once he was within earshot, but when he neared, it appeared as if he wasn't too content with the invitation's message wording. Priscilla gleamed, putting one hand on her hip and using the other to pull up the menu interface, "Why do you ask so inquisitively? Well, it's another quest..." Continuing the answer, she would make sure to finish what she was saying as to not make him worry about having to carry her through a second quest, "but(!) it's the Feeding the Enemy quest so I can do it on my own..." Pausing once more for a moment, she invited him to her party through the menu and awaited his acceptance, "but I had fun on the last quest and thought it would be nice to have you tag along. Is that alright?"

Just as he had made it to the gate, Zelrius was prompted by a Party invite and her greeting. He smiled back politely, accepting the invite and returning his glance to her. "Salutations to you as well. Floor 3 is good for the weather beyond winter time. A change of pace since our introductory conversation on the Fifth floor." He laughed a bit in light of that, the reference maybe being a bit too vague, or just not funny enough. Such were his interactions with people he barely knew, Cilla now added to the long list of people he had barely met and so far had little to nothing to do with so far. Though she seemed nice enough, and maybe an actual friendship may develop. Keyword there may. Just depends, Zelrius has, in his time in Aincrad, met plenty of low levels who show up for one quest, and then disappear off the face of the planet as if they never existed. Putting all that aside, Zelrius listened to what Cilla had in mind and nodded. He went through his inventory quickly, tossing her the Ookami potion and turning on his detect skill, just in the event that this was a bait. "I had fun as well Cilla, perhaps this one will be a bit more relaxing. Shall we?" He stepped aside gesturing to the gateway for them to being their 'Hike'

It was nice to hear that Zelrius got a bit of enjoyment out of their last endeavor, even if it was a bit more intense than Cilla would have imagined, but at least she wasn't alone in assuming this trip was going to be far more peaceful. She caught a hold of the potion that he tossed her, leaving her a little confused as to what it was as she peered it over, "Oh, what is this then?" Priscilla wasn't very hesitant in trusting Zelrius, which meant he could claim it to be anything he wanted, but he would have to deal with the consequences, good or bad, once the effects of the potion kicked in. After waiting for his response, she would take the lead and march onwards as he kindly let her go first, but would quickly return to a more comfortable pace walking nearly shoulder to shoulder, "Well, now that we're out here, we have to look for this creature." Obviously, this player probably knew about this quest, but it wouldn't hurt to go back over the details out loud and include what sort of creature they were looking for, "It's the cutest darned thing you'll ever see; it's a half cat and half ladybug hybrid... thing." She brought her hands together near her chest, shaking her fists in excitement, "Just remember, I have dibs on it so if you want one, you'll have to wait until next time!"

As she questioned the potion, he merely grinned mischievously, unsure whether or not to trick her into drinking it, or straight up just tell her what it was. He thought about it for a second, thinking it'd be more fun to see the surprise on her face when she found out what it was rather than whatever he would tell her. On the flip side, so far, he had tricked Dawn into drinking it, and while she was angry for only a second, the now-Wolfgirl was thrilled about the whole idea. Zelrius decided to just tell her, hoping that between their last interaction and this one, she would just go along with it. "It's what is called an Ookami potion. You'll have Wolf ears and a fluffy tail. That of which I'd like to pet and touch, but understand if you're not that comfortable with me yet." As for her description for the Familiar he raised an eyebrow in slight confusion. "That sounds... odd." Though despite that, Zelrius had faint memory glimpses of a similar cartoon character from a really old show or something of the like. "Rightright, We're doing this quest for you, not me anyhow. I am sure that if I wanted a Familiar it wouldn't be whatever the hell you described."

Fortunately for Zelrius, it did not matter too significantly whether or not he told her the truth. However, it would turn out to be far less of a hassle for him because of his honesty. She was a tad surprised that this big bad ~wolf~ player was into such a fixation, at least that's what Priscilla could only assume, in which he desired to pet players after growing animal ears and accompanying tail. While it was certainly an obession many people had in the real world, she hadn't encountered a single soul showing any sign of affiliation, but Priscilla thought it was cute, if a little funny, "Well, I most definitely did not expect you to be into that of all things, but-" She pretended to ponder it as if the thought of having pointy ears and a long fluffy tail wasn't absolutely the most adorable thing besides her soon-to-be familiar, "If it gives you good sensations, I'll give it a shot." She swirled the potion around in its container while he commented on how odd of a familiar she was pursuing, holding back from reminding him of his equally odd request, "Just wait until you see it, it's almost as adorable as me." Giggling at her bit of hubris, she popped the lid off the potion and tilted the glass, "Bottoms up!" In no more than a few seconds later, the expected results would soon bear their fruit, revealing Priscilla's new features.
