[F11- Rank 9 Cook] Halcyon's Keep (Frontlines)

Recommended Posts

Beatbox was in a need of getting some more col of the recent, he felt as though he might just need a whole lot of it... so he decided to do his average "buying out a store for the thing I need" to get the alcoholic items he needed to get the cash that he needs. He eventually had made his way to a old friends store in which he knew he had been making alcoholic items like crazy, so when he had made it to his friend @Sey's store he had greeted him and proceeded to purchase what he had left alcoholic wise. "Hey Sey, it has defiantly have been quite a long time hasn't it? Look, I am in need of a lot of alcoholic items, so I am willing to purchase all of what you have at the moment, please and thank you!" he waited for Sey to pull out all of them and count all of them to count the total price which lead to 4800 col and went into his inventory to pay for them all. "Thanks Sey, I'll remember this." then the greenish blue haired fighter dressed in red and white had left to go grind to get some col.

"Sheesh, going all out, eh? Not a problem, take as much as you like. I know you have the col needed, so enjoy them." The snow-haired player would explain as he would let the purchase be made. Now for his other client, he was once ready, but now he had to start back from the first square all over again. Many people wanted alcoholic items, it was just that simple. His previous client however was going to have to wait. Sey went on a first come first serve sort of system, and Beat just so happened to be the first one to arrive on the scene. Therefore, he obtained the priority in this case. Besides, his life was not on the line while he was within the borders of the safe zone. Not much could happen to him in his own shop anyways. "All right, everything checks out. You are all set to go. Come again!" And that was the end of that, plain and simple. Now to get back to crafting.

Back to the Town of Beginnings, a place Teion didn't find herself in very often anymore. At some point, she'd been informed of Sey's restaurant and quickly made plans to pick up a couple of items that would boost her crafting ability. With how busy things were getting, she was certainly going to need it. Pushing open the door to the humble establishment, Teion felt a certain charm from the building. The last time she'd been to a Cook's shop... The woman shook her head. Too many bittersweet memories of her time at the Fearsomely Strong Cider.

Putting those thoughts behind her, Teion looked around the shop. 'It's been so long since I've been on the other end.' She thought with a small smile to herself. The gentle thump of her leather boots against the wooden floor announced her presence as the violet-haired woman stepped up to the main counter in front of the white-haired businessman. "I got your message about the items." She referred to a couple of crafting-enhancement treats Sey had tempted her with not long after their last meeting. Before he would retrieve the items, though, she spoke up again. "Although, if you don't mind I think I'd like to take a moment here." She had meant that she wanted to order something and take her time in the shop, though she felt for some reason she needed to ask permission. Whether or not Sey would understand that with her lack of explanation might be up in the air.

The familiar purple-haired player he made a deal with entered through his shop. She provided for him and his guild, he would gladly provide for her. Recommendations and all, she got the full service. It was nice to see her present in her shop, and he had been expecting her arrival, for the items were now ready. Taking them out from the chilled fridge he had, he would then bring them over to her before replying. "Take your time, boss. If you need anything, let me know." And he would slide the plate with the items over to her gently. Lately, his shop had been getting a lot of attention, which was something that while he expected, he was still surprised about at the same time. It happened all too quickly, with connections being formed and items being made faster than he could imagine. Perhaps if the engineering business did not work out so well in the real world, he knew how to make food.

He recently obtained a decent amount of tier 2 materials, and he was very close to getting to the next level in order to make meals at a much better rate. Today served to be a very effective day however as he would make not one, but two items. Considering how his first client would probably not like how he had to give away the items he had on stock, he was grateful to at least have two presentable items for her. It was not like he was afraid, but he would rather not have customers that were angry. Regardless of the intentions or not, they were going to buy. Placing his meals down onto the counter, he would bag them and place them up on stock. But this time, he was going to keep them reserved for the client. It was a successful day for sure.

He was able to make a good amount of perfect items this day as well, and it did not even seem to be so much of a problem or a surprise anymore. He was mastering his craft very well, and he full well loved it. The business industry in the real world was nothing too hard for him to master, so this was going to be a fun run. Placing his hands in his pockets, he would then place the drinks and the requested item out to the side and up in stock ready. With this, he would eventually look to his stats to see the best thing he could see yet. Once again... The rank up happened, adding another bar onto the screen. This placed a smile on his face as he was now able to even provide for the frontliners. It seems like he could be the best chef for the frontlines if he continued to work. And honestly, what was going to stop him?

Beat had received Sey's message about his order being done. It had taken a while, but Sey had definitely given him fair warning. It wasn't uncommon for player's to be low on materials since they used them regardless of how busy their shop was. The only way to level your craft was to practice, orders or not. He walked into the cafe and closed his eyes as he let smell of Sey's latest confections waft by him. His stomach growled and he reminded himself to cook himself something tasty for dinner. As a fellow chef, though a lower ranking one, Beat could appreciate the hard work that Sey put into his business. Beat hadn't opened his shop up to the public just yet, but he was nearing the point where he felt comfortable allowing people to trust him with their money and mats in exchange for the delicious confections he could create. He walked up to the counter and greeted Sey with a friendly smile.

"Hey there! Thanks for making this. I'm not quite the chef I need to be make this on a regular basis, so I appreciate the assist."

He opened his menu and traded the col for the roast duck along with the items he had reserved from before.

"No problem dude. Glad you like it. Come again sometime, I'll see what I can fix up for ya." The snow-haired player would tell the clearly satisfied customer before then looking back down to the materials that he had, prepared to make a few more for the people that ordered them. The giant order was... Giant. So he needed to fulfill the task well enough. So he would proceed to make more desserts, since that was all that he could make with alcohol items. Or anything he was willing to try, and with the current count of materials he had right now, he was not going to try to make an experiment out of it. So he would craft what he collected the mints for, tea. But they were spiked with alcohol, which was what made it spicier in the end.

The next items he made were okay, but they were not the best, and that was the exact problem right there. It was just a little cookie that he made with the perfection that he was aiming for. And of course, the cookie was not complete without the added flavor of some spicy rum. Ah, delicious stuff. Rum filled cookies, a straightforward name that did not even hint at anything that it was not. With the cookie sealed in a box, he would place it onto the shelf and fold his hands on the counter, awaiting the next task to come up. It had been a while since he was not full on tasks, which was a bliss thought honestly, but he would rather have some work to do while he was lacking on one tier of materials. Oh well, it was time to make other things then.

Sey was going to make a few luck based items today. And the best part was, he did not have to use any form of alcohol either, which was good for him. He hated the spicy smell that they gave off, and like he was actually going to get a drop of that stuff into his body. Some might argue and say that it was just in the game, and that it was an illusion. That said illusion however can get him drunk, and he was not sure how tolerate his body was to that sort of thing, so he was not going to bother with it. So he would begin the crafting stage with the hopes that he would make a little treat to hold him. Steamed peanuts, because those brought some good luck. Itzal hopefully will arrive by the time he had them finished, but that's if he was successful in the first place.

Next challenge! Itzal was still expecting the lucky items, and so that was what Sey was planning to deliver in this next craft. This time, he was going to focus on only one item for the day, the rest could be all right, but he was aiming for just this one day. Placing the materials down for the one meal, he would begin to prepare a roast beef in a bag. Everything seemed to be in a bag today, but that gave Sey an excuse to put in much better meats despite the portions. Plus, people order the things for the enhancements rather than the actual taste as the snow-haired player noticed. Still though, he planned to give the best. So it brought him great satisfaction to learn that he successfully crafted the item and had it prepared for Itzal to pick up.

Today's crafts were just far too much for him to handle. They were coming in quick, and Sey was about to provide the massive supply his customer ordered. She was going to get a good amount of alcoholic items after all, and in a much shorted amount of time as well. Hm, this was a lot. What did one need them for anyways? Despite him having a theory as to why this might be the case, he told himself to not look further into it. So all of the drinks would be prepared and he would have them laid out. Once that was done, he placed them into his shop inventory and proceeded to have them priced and successfully located in the trading menu, since that was how they seemed to get the exchange done last time. This was the most prosperous day for him.

It had been a while since Shield had stopped in, but the familiar scent wafted into his nostrils as he stepped in the door. The turtle on his back immediately perked up and attempted to navigate out of its sling to investigate the smells, but the leather strap held the hefty creature in place. He took a moment to examine the display case before picking up an order form and scribbling out some details. Finishing his notes, he waved down the proprietor to place his order and slid his notes across the counter.

"It's been a while, Sey," Shield said with a nod. "How's business? Think you can get started on an order for me?"

"Not a problem boss. The restaurant is working out very well, thanks for asking. I'll have this made for you in about a day or two." There were plenty of materials this time in his stock. Well, plenty being a huge understatement. The col he spent previously was definitely worth it though. Mixed with the day where he went on a massive material hunt, he was most certainly stocked up on everything he needs to last for about a good week or two. Yeah, he burned through them too quickly now. Well, it was time to begin. The snow-haired player would simply bunch up the rice after they had been cooked before seasoning it. To finish it off, he would injected a decent amount of alcohol in it as if it were filling before placing it on stock for him. "And there you go captain. And thanks, I might check it out when I need to."

Another day to be making things, another day for meeeee! That was pretty much all that Sey thought of, since this seemed to be more of an endless cycle that just, never, ended. It was not that bad, but it would be nice if something more eventful came out of it. Then again, perhaps he was just being a little greedy. Not many people climb up the ladder so high this quickly, and for him to be able to do so was amazing in itself. So he was grateful when he thought that through and proceeded to make the order. However, he was only able to make one in the end. Meaning that he was still one away from the goal, and he was unable to make him come back again just for an incomplete order again. That was not going to look good. So he was going to have to wait another day.

Shield graciously accepted the first meal that came out of the kitchen for him. He gave an appreciative nod before storing it in his inventory.

"Thanks a lot, Sey," he said with a wave.  "I can make good use of this one for now. Just let me know when the others are finished and I'll be right over to grab them."

He took a minute to flip through his items before nodding to himself.

Good. Between the new axe and a few strategic morsels of food, I think I've got what I need to get started on a couple of quests. I learned my lesson about going in under geared from that first dragon quest. There are plenty more of those to get through, and they're only going to get harder.

"Also feel free to swing by my shop if you need anything appraised. I had quite a laundry list of items to get through, but I've finally got some availability to get to more orders."

He gave one final wave as he disappeared through the door.

Two more was required of him, and by this time, he was only able to make one, meaning he was unable to tell the customer that his order was ready sadly enough. Fortunately, he and his other client were the only ones who needed things from him as of right now, he remembered when things were chaotic back in the past. "Not a problem, man. See ya around." It was then time to get to work. His meals had to be made though he himself was a little more hungry for a snack today. The drinks were good and all, but they eventually got old of making. And Sey was not about doing the same thing over and over again. So not only did he get the current order out of the way, he was able to bake up two more treats for the demanding customer who needed a lot of alcohol in their bloodflow.

Hikoru came into Sentinel Sey's shop for an order he had asked for a few days ago. He grabbed the food as he saw it, coming over to the counter and placing the col onto the counter with a small thud of the bag holding them. He looked around for Sey but didn't see him, although his hood up so he could only see straight of him, not his periferals. He gave a small sigh and pulled his hood down and looked and saw the young man, giving him a nod and a wave as he held the items, pocketing them and putting them into his inventory, and moving forward as he did so, happy with how this had turned out. Now he felt a little more prepared for the upcoming fight that was going to happen to unlock the Labyrinth, and be ready to deal as much damage as he can

A newer client came in to pick up his order, the shadow man himself. Seeing him arrive into the shop without blending into his surroundings was something that was new for him. The orders were then placed onto the counter for him, all put in little Styrofoam trays, despite them being drinks. Once that transaction had been carried out, he would proceed to begin making some more items. Placing his hands onto the materials, he would proceed to make the alcoholic items for the upcoming fight soon to arrive. With this, he would end up shaking a bit as he felt a bit nervous. It was a lot of items to give without profit. It went against his usual profits... But then the thought of being able to advance further in the floors and find the third tier materials for third material items was more than enough motivation to keep going.

Already familiar with roads around here and having previous experience in getting to this place, this time the blonde found the humble abode with ease... not even having to pull out her map to double check. She entered the restaurant themed place and went straight toward the bar where gray haired she meet a while back was attending a cloaked figure. She waved from behind and patiently waited her turn while reading some item flavor texts. As the costumer left in a rush, she didn't get to see behind the hood and let out a small shrug while drawing closer to the cook. "I see you're a busy chef!... I won't take much of your time so..." she next pointed towards 5 items on display that had the enhancements she needed. "I'd like that, that ... that one... and that too. Takeout, please!" she ordered while using the same index finger she pointed with, to materialize 4,000 Col.

Once her Items were ready, she'd pick them up and wave at the cook while preparing to leave: "Also, a small advice... if you're selling your stuff to front liners... you should either up the col price.. or charge in Tier 2 materials only for this type of items."
