[PP - F20] Findin' Dat Bawws Ruum wid Da Boiz <<Scouting the 20th Floor>>

Recommended Posts

As Beatbox ascended to floor 20, he found himself looking around taking a deep breath of the environment... it was bright, it looked very cheery, he walked around this floors main settlement <<Inti>> and took a deep breath, he walked up to the peak of the floor and he could see the beauty of everything in this floor "Whoa..." he said with a smile, but he shook off his smile as it was time to get to immediate business, they didn't need to wait any longer than a moment to find where the boss room is, Beatbox thought to himself to get the Celestial Ascendants name out there, he messaged three people to help tag along with him through this floor: @Morgenstern @Itzal and @Hikoru. However, he had received a message before hand of members of KoB wanting to join up with us on this rendevous, he didn't think it would be a bad idea... maybe forming an alliance if at all possible would be a good idea, however he wasn't going to immediately jump to conclusions, He sent them all a message stating:

Topic: 20th Boss Room

Now that we are here we all can go find the 20th boss floor, maybe we all could get together and find it?

However, we do have some that are wanting to join us, its members and founder of KoB. I know some of you dont like him, and I know a lot of you are against this. But they are wanting to look past anything that they did to us or anyone and become friends with us and hell even try to form an alliance, we do not have to form an alliance and being friends or acquaintances are just fine, but judging too hastily on a person seems rather harsh, we all should get together and FULLY get to know each other before making rash decisions. Please?

Meet me at the peek of Inti the main settlement of floor 20.

-Beatbox

@Morgenstern @Itzal @Hikoru @Heathcliff @Macradon

During the final round through the 19th floor after the recent boss raid, the message icon popped up in the HUD. Heathcliff touched the icon to open the new message. The message was an invitation to a meeting point before looking for the boss room for the next floor. The man made his way to the central teleport gate and called out to go to Floor 20 «Inti». Upon arriving to the 20th floor, The Commander of the Knights of the Blood Oath looked around for the peak of the settlement. He spotted the meeting place and began to make his way to the peak.

Arriving at the designated location Heathcliff spotted a man at the top of the peak who appeared to be waiting for someone. The Commander approached the man, Hello Sir, Are you with the Celestial Ascendants? Heathcliff asked the man as he stood next to him and overlooked the settlement while waiting for the other players to appear.

After the boss room, most of everything was a blur. Many players began to rush about, and he did not manage to locate ANY of his guildmates. Instead the blond moved forward into the next floor, wanting to be one of the first ones in. He walked up the stone stairs, and instantly the air became fresh, warm. He squinted at the newfound sunlight and the blond smiled. Floor twenty, I think I like it. Mountains and forests appeared to be everywhere. Taking a deep breath, the player began to smile, rejoicing about their victory, but it was quickly ended as he heard the ping of a message. He opened up the message which was from Beat, explaining how they were going to go and find the next boss room. They would be teaming up with KoB, which surprised him a bit. At the peak of Inti... I am at Inti, so all if have to do, is go up. Jonathan looked up, noticing how large the climb was. Jonathan sighed and began his long climb up.

As Jonathan arrived, he noticed Beatbox and Heathcliff, commander of the KoB had arrived. It was a bit surprising see him at this time, as he had heard the commander had a tendency to vanish until the boss room. Jonathan put on a smile and walked forward, to stand next to Beatbox. From here he got a good look at the man. Jonathan has never been particularly sure about this man, but he dreamed of being almost like him. He had equipment that was holy, and he even gave of this tension as the high powered glorious figure. Trying not to gawk but he smiled and nodded to the man, waiting for the rest to arrive. Itzal is usually the first one here, and I bet there is a reason he is not today. I beleive I know that reason.

It had been but moments after the boss fight that Hikoru had run up to the stairs and went to the next floor. It was a nice difference from the previous floors, which had been dark and gloomy. It felt amazing, and he knew that this floor would soon be inhabited by quite a few players, and he wanted to get a head start for it. After he recieved his reward, he put his corresponding Skill Points into his Sneak and Hide skill, and he Triumphantly felt good, as he had finally Grandmastered it. With a small smile, he looked at his ring in his inventory. He had no more use of it, but it was still a reminder of who he was, and what he never wanted to become. He breathed and soon moved forward into the forest, taking a good scouting look around, and seeing nothing of real interest

As he was returning, he recieved a message from his Sentinel Beatbox, saying that they were going to do a raid group, and meet with people from KoB, which caught his eye. He knew of a few people in that Guild, and he knew that they were strong. But he knew that their Guild was much larger, and much more active than theirs. The most he saw was them at Boss Raids, which is good, but he'd expect more from a Guild. He breathed and appeared at the location they planned to meet, and saw Itzal and Morg waiting there, with a man that he had heard of before. Heathcliff, the leader of the KoB and level 100, with his own Unique Skill. He breathed and composed himself. He didn't know how this would go down, so he had to try and keep his character. He soon appeared behind all of them from the shadows, his hood above his head, showing only the gleam of his glasses to show.

"That would be us, and you must be Heathcliff, Leader of the Knights of the Blood." He said monotone, looking at the man with Malice. He didn't like the man, but he knew that this meeting could mean either good or ill tidings between their guild, so he knew that he would have to be here, no matter how much he didn't want to be.

Itzal was completely useless in the boss raid, but at least he participated.  He had some experience now and he intended to ponder on it.  For now however, he was too excited to see the new floor.  He rushed to the entrance and when the light shone in his face he let his eyes adjust before seeing the sight.  He looked at the city and noted his position.  He looked up the mountain to see just how far up the city went and made a mental note that the entrance was near the top of the city.  He saw the walls and mentally wrote down their positions, realizing that the city was broken up into three segments.  He then looked at the forest below the city but of course, he couldn't gather much info from this height.  But it did look like a rather large floor that would be occupied with lots of places.  Then he got the message from Beatbox.  He frowned when he saw the request to party up, and then frowned further when he saw the request of an alliance......  He took a deep breath and recalled what Beat and Jonathan had told him previously and let the breath go.  He scanned the area and found the group..  Along with the Commander.  Itzal approached the group with a blank face.  When the Commander turned to Itzal he nodded to the man.  "Commander."

It wasn't too long ago they cleared the 19th floor's boss room against that giant. Macradon would make sure that the next boss would be found easily again, but he didn't dedicate enough time this time to just go out and find it within a day or two, he would let others find the boss room. That were his thoughts, that was what he wanted. He had found the boss room already, so now he would let someone else find it, but that wasn't all that would be happening as he had hoped, he had just now got a message. "Hm .. what could this be?" he thought as he pressed upon the HUD in the shape of an unopened letter. Carefully reading it through, Macradon would give out a slight sigh as he would stand up from the chair he sat in. Grabbing everything he could for a dungeon exploration run.

He walked out from his now closed shop to venture to the 1st floor's main plaza, where the warp portal was. He would stand up the portal and utter the words "Transportation - 20th floor" and he would then be engulfed in light turquoise light as his body was transported form the first to the newest, highest floor reachable at the moment, the 20th floor. Stepping out of the plaza, Macradon would look around, he had never ventured up here before, it was quite the nice place, but he wasn't here to look at the scenery, he was here for a quick meetup, but he hadn't been looking at all the participants, just a few, that being Beatbox, the Commander and himself.

As he got to Inti, the main settlement of the 20th floor, Macradon would see the peak they were supposed to be meeting at. Macradon would be wearing casual wear, as it wasn't any Guild Oriented work he was put on, at least not yet. Wearing green and black robes over his white and red armor, to hide off most of the guild colors so he wouldn't be too formal in the wear of the guild. As he approached the peak, Macradon would make sure that his helmet was off of him, so he wasn't hiding his face or anything. When he finally would come to the other, Macradon would do a quick nod at everyone, but the first one to get a nod was his Commander out of sheer respect of higher titles. "Hello, everyone. Well met I see" he would say with a smile adorned upon his face.

Everyone appeared one by one... Heathcliff, Hikoru, Morgenstern, Itzal, Macradon... and he didn't want to waste any time with this he unsheathed his sword and planted it into the ground with a serious look "Aight, we are not here to argue who ever is the better guild, nor are we here to talk about the previous issues we once had with each other. Today, we act as one to find this boss room, and if you don't like that idea then please leave, because the more time we waste like last time with the meetings and in between time the later we will not get out of here. And like I said in the message we do not need to be aligned, however being friends is almost a necessity with how bad players have been declining in the front lines lately. We've got to learn to rely on each other, even if some of us don't know or like each other." he darted towards all five of the players that stood before him, he wanted to show a better example of himself, he wanted to become more than just "A Typical Sentinel" or a "DPS Knight", he wanted to strive to become better, he wanted to be there for everyone despite them not wanting them to be there for him.

Slowly and surely, all the participants arrived. Heathcliff had seen most of them before in previous raids. The current temporary Vice Commander of the Knights of the Blood Oath had also made his appearance. The commander, wearing his typical long red and white trimmed armor with a white cape bearing the KoB insignia, acknowledged those he has seen before. The man who had been there before Heathcliff, began to speak up once everyone has arrived.

After the man spoke, The Commander nodded in agreement and took out his Liberator to prepare for the adventure. We may have another one join us but he may be entangled in prior affairs. I will update him on our location if everyone is ready to set off for the dungeon. Heathcliff said as he looked around to see if everyone was ready to go. We work together and no one person will lead the whole adventure. He said as he looked over at his Vice Commander and nodded. I leave the rest of the relationship building to you. Heathcliff told Macradon in a soft voice, keeping it between the two of them.

The warp station would be erupting with activity from the influx of players that would have their first looks at the 20th floor of Castle Aincrad.  Most of these were players that would be in and out before anything could happen to them.  Others would start looking into any quests that have come up from within the city walls, and gain an early foot hold into the new floor.  Then there were the minority of players that would brave the toughest of challenges, the front liners.

Light shone around the warp station before brown boots formed from within.  Stepping out into the open air, the rest of the form would assimilate.  Dark grey slacks covering the lower section would flow up to crimson half plate that covered the upper body and left arm of the individual.  A sword within its scabbard would hang well on the his sword belt.  The man would look around with sapphire eyes while placing his right hand above the blood red bandanna that covered his forehead, and kept the jade colored hair from his sight.

As soon as he found whom he was looking for, not that it was that hard, the young hunter made his way through the crowd to the group of people that awaited him.  Most were made up of the newest guild to reach the front lines, the Celestial Ascendants.  His attention was made more to the two that held his guild colors.  As was required, he would give greetings to his highest members of the Blood Oath.

"Good day, Commander.  Vice Commander.  My apologies for my tardiness."

The blond turned silently as he watched as Itzal and Hikoru silently approached. Soon after, Macradon, Jonathan's blacksmith arrived. From there, Beat began to take charge by telling them what their mission was today, and they needed to remain friendly to each other and put aside what had happened. The blond frowned, trying to figure out what Beat had meant. The Celestial Ascendants and KoB had not really quarreled, but it did not matter. Remaining unsure of what to say, Jonathan remained quiet, even after Heathcliff spoke, speaking of how no one was in charge of this adventure. Releasing his breath, Jonathan equipped his armor, and soon was encased in his silver armor. He nodded to the Commander of the KoB and said, "Congratulations on the last hit, I know the Last drop will be put into good use...." The blond smiled inside his armor and turned away as he seen another player arrive. This player was from the KoB, as Jonathan had seen this player in the boss fight, but never before. Jonathan examined the player. Not much stronger than himself, Green hair. His build was not able to be determined at the moment.

Turning away from the green haired player, Jonathan began to silently think to himself, wondering what was going to happen, and asking himself many questions. For looking for a boss room, there should now be bosses. Meaning I will most likely be a tank for the fight, and there is not any healers here, and I am out of Mitigation items, so hopefully it will not deal much damage. The blond glanced down at his shield. It would heal quite a bit, and he was beginning to get a lot of mitigation. Soon, his Heavy Armor would be maxed out, meaning he would have quite a bit of mitigation. What was Beatbox talking about? How did Heathcliff become so strong and get an item like that? Jonathan shrugged the questions away, turning more to the matters at hand.

Hikoru breathed and continued to listen, ignoring the ignorance of Heathcliff as he didn't even turn to acknowledge his team. He wouldn't say anything about it, as much as he wanted to. He needed to keep his stone face in these moments until things were figured out. He held his tongue and listened to Beatbox, who had held this all together, and he breathed and nodded in understanding. Everything he had on him was well prepared and felt comfortable on him. He needed some new armor for out in the fields, but for right now he was enjoying the feeling of being safe in his cloak. He wished he could find more items like this. But none of them were able to make, and the only reason he had this was because of Beatbox. He turned to see Hirru appear, and he gave the Emerald-Headed player a nod and small smile, then returned to the things at hand.

"Alright. As long as everyone knows their roles, we can get moving anytime." He said, and he pulled his cloak tightly "If need be I can stay around the shadows and keep an eye out if need be. I don't have the <<Surprise Attack>>mod yet, but a level or two and i'll be ready for more of these." He said to his group, giving them all a nod and a thumbs up "We got this guys."

Itzal frowned when the commander didn't reply to any of their greetings in any way.  And what irritated Itzal further was that the leader of the KoB, was giving orders to everyone.  This was feeling less and less like guilds working together, and more like following orders.  However, Itzal would keep his cool and not let his frustrations show.  This was why he didn't like the KoB.  Well, one of the reasons.  Another player came to join them and Itzal recognized him as Hirru.  His frown changed to a slight smile when he saw the familiar face.  At least someone with a better personality would be in this scouting mission.  He also saw Macradon which lifted his hopes even more.  He was hoping for too much probably, but perhaps the two could keep the commander from overstepping his bounds.  He seemed an expert at disrespecting others at any rate.  Itzal nodded to Hikoru, saying nothing whatsoever.  The hood of his twilight cloak was still down as usual, but if he felt uncomfortable he typically pulled it up.  He hoped he would not need to do such a thing.

A slight sigh would escape Macradon's mouth as he was given an order "Aye, sir" he would reply. It did not take long before they would be heading out, but Hirru would appear before they actually left, excusing his tardiness "No probs, Hunter" Macradon said to Hirru "No need for an excuse, it's not because you were late to a Boss Raid or anything" he said with a smile at his fellow guild mate. "So what we have to do is find the labyrinth, fight a field boss and <Cardinal> will announce the amount of fragments needed? This new thing sound complicated ... but I guess it's better than me finding the boss room 3 hours after we defeated the boss ..." he said with a happy tone. Beginning to venture down the peak, Macradon asked the others "So ... who's leading? Because I don't know where to look for this labyrinth" he said, glancing back at the current participants of the scouting.

Beatbox looked around to the others that were here and he could not believe what he had seen, he looked at their expressions and actions... and it seemed that they we're bothered by something, theres no need for Itzal to just suddenly put up his mouthpiece for nothing anyways. Beatbox growled and said "Do you have no manners Ascendants? Not everyone has to recognize that you are there, he's a great man and messaging another one of his comrades to show up. He's a great and powerful man, he is key to get out of this game. Now show some god d*** respect for once." he shook off his thoughts and looked back to Macradon and said "That would be me, I took a moment to look around before this meeting and I think I saw some sightings over in the distance in the far forest, however its not going to be an easy task. We're gonna need Itzal to find the boss room as he's the only scout in this party. For that I entrust him that he'll do a good job in finding it, as for us... we'll have to hack and slash our way through the labyrinth." he said as he unsheathed his sword and started to head in the direction towards the sightings of the labyrinth "Let's go, we don't have all day to do this." and started to move forward.

The man looked around at the other and felt tints of dislike in the air. The last member finally appeared and apologized for his tardiness. Glad you could make it Hirru. The man said as he shifted his site back toward the group. The commander felt like this couldn't go unnoticed any longer as it might cause trouble for Macradon and the rest of the guild. I can sense the dislike from everyone. I'm sorry you feel that way but I have many other matters on my mind. He then looked at Jonathan who congratulated him on the last hit drop in the previous boss raid. Thank you Jonathan. I passed gave it to Macradon as he is a better fit for the item and works hard to lend an open hand to anyone in need. The commander said to the man. Beatbox then spoke up and tried to bring his guild mates back around. Thank you Beatbox. Sorry you had to do that. I can feel some tension in those words. is it a hindrance that I am here? Heathcliff told the man as he tried to think of a plan of action for getting passed the series of boss monsters.

Beatbox spoke up and said that he will lead the expedition to find the boss room. Heathcliff nodded in acknowledgement of this action and looked over at his guild members to see if they were ready. He then looked back at Beatbox and the rest of the Celestial Ascendants. The Knights are ready when you are. He said while awaiting word from the rest of the players.

Jonathan listened to the commander about his last drop. He was glad to find that it had landed in good hands, the hands of his blacksmith. Jonathan had yet to obtain a unique or demonic item, but it would pop up soon. Jonathan smiled and turned to Beat was speaking about disrespect. Jonathan frowned. What had happened during his small conversation with the commander. Had someone said anything rude perhaps? He did not overhear anything, but he was a bit distracted. He shot Itzal a look as if to say, 'what happened? Well talk later'. The blond clapped his hand together and said, "Alright, we should just get this little show on the road. Itzal, take a good look around, and decide where you think would be the best place to look. I have complete faith in you." Jonathan smiled, trying to bring back the lightness in things. He nodded to the commander, showing he respected the man. It was indeed true, he respected the man by far, idolized, along with a bit of envy. He however, was not willing to take orders, and Heathcliff most likely would not give them orders. They were here to get things done, the best things were. Suggestions.

The blond smiled to the rest, as he moved to reequip his items. The others would see as the image of the semi-muscular man faded, and was replaced by a bode of encased silver armor. He unsheathed his blade at the side and raised it forward, acknowledging the others he was ready to get the show on the road.

Following what Beatbox had been telling everyone, Macradon would activate his Search and Detect, trying to see if anything would lead to anything’s treads, but of course nothing would be seen where they were at the moment, they had to go out deeper into the wilderness. It seems that Itzal would be the proposed scout for this mission, which wasn’t too far fetched as Macradon had known about that man’s build, so he wouldn’t comment much, other than preparing his skills so he would be able to find easy ways to get to place with his <Tracking> skill. If everything went as planned, there shouldn’t be too much work to be done @Beatbox, what kind of place is the supposed Labyrinth passage?” he would ask, trying to see if he could find some kind of creature which he could try to track. Macradon was unsure if it was Beatbox who should lead or if it was Itzal, as Morgenstern wanted Itzal to look around while Beatbox told that he knew an approximate. Macradon would shrug his shoulders and sigh.

Itzal's smile turned to a frown when Beat began to speak to them in the manner that he did.  That was no way to talk to anyone.  If he had an issue with them he could tell them later and in a calm fashion, no need for yelling at them.  He hoped that Beatbox wouldn't be this way the entire trip.  When he took charge Itzal understood why:  He had called this meeting in the first place.  However it still gave him no right to talk to his own guild in that manner.  He saw Jonathan's look and gave him one in return that said to just worry about it afterwards.  He turned to Heathcliff, the man he wanted to be with last.  He shook his head.  "No it won't be a problem.  We're here to find the boss room faster is all.  We'll need to work together for that."  When he heard Macradon's question, although it was directed to Beatbox he raised his hand.  With his permission he answered.  "I might have a clue as to where it might be.  Although I haven't scouted this floor real quick, like most dungeons it will be in either two places:  Either well hidden, or in plain sight where you wouldn't notice unless you were looking the right way.  From this height I can see a lot of the map already and I think that direction is our best option.  We should probably start moving down the mountain and into the forest as soon as possible so we can find the entrance quicker."

OOC-  I have Beat's permission OOC to say that he gave Itzal permission to answer the question given

Hikoru breathed and listen to Beatbox yell at him. He would talk to him about that later, as it was disrespectful to both him and his comrades, something he didn't like. He gave a sigh and pulled his cloak up quietly, looking around and waiting to move on, but it didn't seem that they were getting anywhere. He gave a groan and sighed, looking at the group, sheathing his dagger and crossing his arms and eyeing all of them as much as he could, taking a long time to look at the young Beatbox.

"As nice as this chit chat is, we need to get moving. We can worry about this later, but for now let's get this done alright?" He said, looking at everyone "I'm not calling out anyone when I say that, but we need to get these floors cleared so we can get to our homes, our families. Let's get this done alright?" He said. He pulled down his hood and gave a genuine smile, showing that he meant no harm in what he said. He just wanted to get as many players home as safe as he could.

"But ... bu ..." Macradon said as he sighed and held his hand up at his temples. Even though psychological pain and physical pain wasn't something in this game, Macradon still had the habit of doing so when getting frustrated. "It didn't answer my question ..." he muttered at what Itzal's words, but nonetheless, they would be going out now, looking for that labyrinth. Macradon wouldn't be able to know what terrain they would be heading to, so he would have no idea what kind of creature he would need to track, which made the information Itzal gave them all pretty much useless. Macradon would not fret, as Itzal probably had a plan for the scouting which would unfold sooner or later ... or it would turn out that he wasn't as an experienced scout as Macradon had heard him to be. Who was he to judge, he had only been the one finding the boss room 1½ times now. 1½ out of 20 isn't quite the thing to brag about at all. "Aye" he replied to Hikoru "Let's not be selfish and only think about us, let's think about everyone on Aincrad" he said.
