[F16-PP] [KOB] Bringing the wrath of the Knights upon the snek <Snake out of Water>

Recommended Posts

"Damn!"

The hunter would call out as Mac was bitten again and given the paralysis debuff again.  The hunter could throw some damage at it, but the last time that he fought the danger noodle, he was nearly winded by the end of it.  Without a little help from Anemone, they would probably be here for a while.  The hunter was about to call out to the girl, but something didn't feel right.  With every single search skill and mod on, he could barely feel the Winter Priestess' presence.  Did she have the hiding skill?  Certainly not, or else she would still be in his peripherals.

"What is going on here?"

The hunter called out to Mac, expecting an answer, but forgetting that he had been paralyzed for a few moments now.  Instead, he only had to focus on the glowing mass that was Hebishinu.  Weapon awash in emerald green, he would add another counter against the snake.  Unfortunately, the hunter couldn't get a good lock on its fast movements and the sword art failed to activate.

It was getting difficult trying to find the great snake and deal a great blow upon its slimy skin, so Macradon had another tactic that could help them get through this ordeal. Standing steadfast into the muddy soil of the swamp area, Macradon knew he was the main target of the snake, and would therefore be able to just draw it towards him as he please. Using his <Search> skill, Macradon easily spotted the snake as it emerged from the unseen territory. Macradon would ready his sword to execute a <Sword Art> just before Hebishinu would connect its attack, which meant that Macradon would be hit by the attack, but it also made sure that his attack connected as well. As the great snake would wrap its giant mouth around Macradon, he would throw out a violent and ferocious cut that cleaved the inside of the great snakes mouth, leaving it in such and agony that it just couldn’t do anything for a short while as he had paralyzed it with his attack. “Hunter, a chance!” he said to the Hunter.

"I'll take it!"

The hunter called out when Macradon took the opportunity to deal a decisive blow against the snake, but it meant taking another bite from the snake.  Luckily, there were no side effects from this last attack.  Instead, the hunter only had to hit the bloody thing.  There shouldn't be any problem as all of his techniques combined would allow him sight, if the creature slipped back into the murky depths.  The problem would be more of the accuracy that he had a lack of.  For the most part, he had enough to effectively hit the target most of the time, but sometimes that isn't enough.  Sometimes, there were speedy mobs that he couldn't hit, but that could be over looked.

Unfortunately, this was going to be one of those days.

Rearing up, the hunter slipped in the mud once more to fail again.

"I.. hate.. this floor.."

Holding back the paralyzed snake, Macradon would wiggle himself free of its ferocious bite. Quickly glancing over his health bar, Macradon would notice a poison debuff, but it didn’t seem to do anything as his Battle Healing was doing it work properly. Hirru seemed to have a problem landing a hit, seemed like the paralyzation hadn’t hit the whole body, but only the front part of it. Without much more wiggling, Macradon came out of the jaw and would make another strike with his greatsword, cleaving down with his <Galaxy Destroyer>, dealing a good chunk of damage before slowly watching the snake come free of the paralyzed state he had put it into, like it had done to him throughout the fight. “Hunter, try again! It doesn’t seem like it’s fully ready yet!” he called out to Hirru, as the snake was slowly gaining its full mobility back from Macradon’s strike.

"That may never be the case with a predator that uses stealth."

The hunter made a mention towards the behavior of some of the later floors creatures.  The tenth floors mobs were much like that with their usage of the dark to take advantage of the players around them.  Some even fain death to get another attack in.  It was a wonder that the front lines of back then got through that floor, but there were reports of all of them having night vision mod, or was it a skill back then.  The hunter would have to investigate more on that.

With Hebishinu crawling back into its home, the hunter only had a moment to get to it and attack.  If not, then they would have to fish it out of the water with another bait from Mac, and the jade one didn't want that.  Instead, he wanted the creature dead on Mac's next attack.  Ripping through the mud and crud, the hunter ran his sword through the snakes scaly hide.

"Finish this thing off Mac, so we can all go home!"

As Hirru dealt a good blow at the snake, making it wiggle in the muddy ground as it was getting down into the red, Macradon would make his final strike that would tear through its entire being. “I’m working on it!” Macradon replied as he began an attack. With a downwards hard <Galaxy Destroyer> mud, water and other debris were flung everywhere from where Macradon bashed his sword. With a crude but extremely effective attack, Macradon cleaved down into the muddy water, dealing a hefty blow to the snake, taking it out of its misery of living in murky water and not being able to do much else than just be a target by players because it’s a field boss. Taking out the last bit of health, Macradon received  the last hit reward, which was a consumable, and would put it away as the two would split the Col earned from slaying this great beast.
