[PP:F19:NK] Autumn Lovin' w/ Hirru

Recommended Posts

When Anemone happened to peer outside of Raldberg, she was simply amazed by the Autumn environment it gave off. Golden leaves, classic greens, the trees where immense and tall. She felt like the world was truly authentic with how it was designed right up to the weather pattern. She stood there looking out, bright red eyes looking towards those tall majestic trees and open fields. There didn't seem like any monsters spawning around in the intro area, so with her right foot forward she began to move out of the safezone. She felt a wee bit nervous in doing so, usually she would call or ask someone to come help her, but she decided since it was so close to the city itself, it shouldn't be too hard to find some items along the way for safety sake.

And thus with the wind blowing gently and rising the twin capes she wore, her bright snow colored hair rising and falling, she would go out and look for more materials for her shop and other necessities. All the land seemed to be pretty calm and tame for the most part, she wondered if she would meet anyone nice out in this field. It was such a beautiful day! A great place for a picnic as well, she would have to make note of this as she searched for those little treasures.

The nineteenth floor, a space where the line between flora, fauna, and infrastructure become blurred.  The people do not talk, but legends can still be found within them.  Maybe, one day, we could all speak the same language.  Though, that may take some time, or the right skill was needed, and this one was never found.  Either way, there was still much to do around here, especially for a certain hunter.  One would think that fighting the floor boss was enough, but there was still much more to see.  Much more to understand.

That is how the Jade Hunter found himself on the 19th floor once more.  Although he was needed more on the front lines, where they needed to search for the floor boss, he didn't have the strength to continue on his own.  Captain Macradon specifically works alone, saying that it's faster for him.  He had also heard that Seul was throwing his hat into finding it himself, which was strange for the illusive man.

No, he needed to retrain for the harsh mobs in the future.

While in Raldberg, the green haired hunter took his time to place his main side job on the billboard for all to see.  Hunter For Hire, a side gig that he did for a long time, but no one really noticed anymore.  It was around this time that he saw the most peculiar thing, a player going out of town without a weapon.

"That's odd."

Anemone had stepped out into the lush field of flowers and landscape. Red eyes peering out and smelling the sweet aromatic air of the floral array the littered the floor. She had thought floor seventeen was the perfect floor with its Greek Theme, but the constant cool breeze and warm sun on this little land seemed to be just as enchanting. With a snow colored pale face, her eyes bright eyes were the center of attraction as she looked onward with a keen perception. Activating all her search skills, the woman was able to find a perfect spot to gather a mixture of greens, each one different than the other but in a nice little bundle for the woman. After have speaking with a few scouts, she was more than happy to divvy up some of her skill points in the Gathering Skill which was now paying back for her several fold. A few trips like these out in the wild would surely net her a handsome growth in materials in no time.

However she felt rather odd coming to such a high floor by herself; no weapon to call her own and no armor as well besides the basic clothing she had from the start. Twin capes billowing out behind her as she lifted her petite body, her hair swaying in the breeze as she had turned noticing a male figure in the distance, "Oh great. He looks intimidating...I hope he doesn't come over here to start tro--Oh girl, why are you waving at him?!" Anemone, with a slight absent mind began to wave at the warrior from a distance, her thoughts escaping as she had done so because she was anxious and wanted to look friendly and unappetizing for a Player Killer. He had a green crystal, so for the time being she felt safe.

Withdrawing her hand from the sky, the woman moved once more deeper into the fields of flower and hunkered down into the tall grass to once again search for more items. @Hirru

For some reason, the hunter found himself looking out for the strange individual.  Maybe it was his nature, or something else along those lines.  Of course, it didn't take long for the hunter to figure out what the unarmed woman was doing.  He could tell it was a woman from the... he shook his head from thoughts, but they didn't seem to go away.  Instead, he continued his thoughts towards her actions.  Without a weapon, there wasn't much for anyone to really do except gather materials from the local fauna.  Though, people that do go out still carry a weapon or enough armor to make any damage negligible.  Unfortunately, that didn't work for the upper floors, as mobs had enough attack power to down someone in a few hits with or without armor.

"..."

It was the hunter's only thought after he noticed that she noticed him.  Although he wasn't really trying to hide it, it would seem that he was pretty weird to follow someone out here.  This thought made him slightly ticked, but he only directed his attention to everything else.  Taking his strength potion from his pouch, he would drink it while giving a slight wave back to her, for courtesies sake.

The woman smiled, feeling the roll of the wind caress her hair as it was uplifted in the draft. The scent of the flora around her coming undone giving that scent in the air that made her feel at peace. She held her hands to her heart and looked up at the sky. The snow white hair dressed behind her in small tendrils as she beamed an ear to ear smile that was laced with thoughts of romance and adventure. Like a real life story book she would read in the real world. Taking a big breath of fresh air, Anemone slowly exhaled once more catching attention of the warrior who was beyond her. He had waved back, and she smiled. He seemed like a nice person enough, perhaps he would want some company? Or perhaps she was just a lonely little girl looking for someone to- well, not necessarily speak with.

The woman shot her eyes a gaze at batch of green looking leafs. Could be mint? Could be some kind of other herb which might be tasty. She got down on her hands and knees and began to collect the small batch. That Gatherer Skill was paying itself off with the stashed SP she had accumulated. It was fantastic little skill. TUrning her head, she noticed a pair of eyes looking at her from a distance. She stood up quietly; it wasn't human eyes either. "Oh dear..." she said taking several steps back. @Hirru

After finishing the potion, the hunter would feel something pinging in the distance around where the white haired woman was.  It shouldn't have been her, as his skill was only set towards mobs and such.  Though, after activating the necessary skills in full, his glowing eyes would pick up the red blob in the overgrown brush that overtook the ruined architecture that dotted the area.

"Get back!"

Without a second thought, the hunter ran as fast as he could to intercept the beast that was targeting the silver lass.  He wasn't as fast as some of the other scouts that he knew, but they were specially built for speedy guerrilla tactics.  The hunter was made to take hits and dish them back twice as hard.  Still, he had enough speed to intercept attacks from short to mid ranges.  Getting in-between the two, the easy part was over and soon came the harder part of taking the hit to cause more potential damage to the beast.  The creature seemed to be of a large tiger, but it was covered in the rocky architecture and moss that most of the floor had.  Getting some hit in through that armor would be tough to deal with, but the hunter would get by.

"I've got this thing.  Head back to the town for now!"

He directed towards the one that he protected.

The woman nodded as she had taken a step back and started to move, but there was a pang of guilt. Why would he just jump in front of her like that? He was a protector as well and Anemone was always being protected, it was time for her to do something about that as well. She had been asked by the player Mack to join the Knights, and she had already agreed, but she had yet to gain her colors or taken her Oath so to speak. But as a Knight now, she could not leave this player by his lonesome.

So she turned around and kept her distance at the very least and shot her hands forward as the healing bloom of her skill encased him in light as she had begun to heal the light wounds that were placed over by the Ancient Tiger. She had simply wanted to look for materials, but she ended up catching a mob instead. She would beat herself over it, but she needed to stay strong for both their sakes. Because if this player had failed in protecting her, then she would be the next dinner course.

The hunter felt something weird come over his body.  It was slightly familiar to an armor ability that he had from a long time ago, but has yet to bring it back into usage.  With the blink of an eye, his health seemed to rise back up to full while a feint light seemed to fall over him, like snow.  Although it reminded him of snow, the feeling was warm and way too familiar.  Looking back, the hunter found the source of the healing aura to be the white haired maiden that he told to stay away.  It wasn't until now that he could really get a good look at her, though he wouldn't have much time to do so with the beast ready to attack.  It wasn't the womanly figure that snapped his attention, although it was close, it was the crimson guild icon that denoted the Knights of the Blood Oath that floated along her visible health bar.

"Wait what?"

It was enough to distract him from a lucky miss from the Ancient Tiger, but also cost him his own opportunity.

"Please be careful!" She said with a small set of shaky words. Her red eyes fell over the Hunter whom she knew very little of. It was by off chance they had the same guild insignia, so he must have been in the same guild as her. That was just great. She had attempted to collect materials for an easy day off, but ending up 'poking the bear' on this floor and getting some mob attention. Had he not shown up, she would have more than likely met her demise. Another Hero to come save the day, she had a really bad Damsel in Distress Complex.

If she could she would hide behind the long hair she had worn upon her head, faint hue of pink on her face as she was thinking about that embarrasing thought, and she just stumbled out the words while he was weaving out of the way of the Ancient Tiger strike, "Sorry for getting you in this mess! I'll make it up to you some how!" She had no idea what she could do to help do that, but she would try her darnedest to do so. Until then she would have to rely on him until this scuffle was over, at least she was able to heal without incident. That was at least in her favor.

Whatever the hell was happening, the hunter was sure that he was out of the loop for it.  When did they get a new member?  The last one that he remembered was Beatbox, and he defected back to the Celestial not too long after his initial joining.  He tried to remember where he last saw or heard anything from the guild about this, but with Mack always gone for who knows what; Macradon going solo while still keeping the Blood Oath colors; and Commander Heathcliff was..  The hunter slowly began to remember that the chain of command was fairly chaotic, and his own actions were mostly on his own.

Putting his attention fully towards the Ancient Tiger, the hunter sighed in response to the woman's apology behind him.  The tiger would have to be dealt with soon before they could understand what was going on, on both sides of the table.

"We can talk later after we take this tiger down."

He said while rushing the tiger for a hefty sum of its health.  His blade rushing through the beast's rocky armor to push it from attacking either of them further.

"Just a little more." She said quietly in a meekish voice. She didn't want to alarm or alert the other player when he scored a critical hit on the Ancient Tiger, but she cheered for him in her head, but attempted to hide the fact she was happy to have him helping her, through her smile and the eyes she used to look up at him. With an intense look on her face, the woman fidgeted backwards almost tripping herself up. When the rock hit the back of her heel, she game an alarmed yelp as she thought something as going to get her.

"Oh! You bad! Bad! Rock!" she said giving it a kick out of the way from her little square plot of land, "Sorry!" came out as her next set of words towards the Hunter as she shriveled up, closing her hands over her chest and then looking down at the ground while he dealt with the last bit of health the Ancient Tiger had. It would only take one more well timed strike to finish this mess she had put him through, hopefully he wasn't stressing about it too much. How could she possibly make it up to him? An apology? Maybe she could make him dinner or something, men liked food and usually that was a good way to say Sorry to someone. She sighed heavily pressing her fingers to her head, "You are a ditz." @Hirru

"What are you apologizing over?"

He asked quizzically, but kept all visual and mental attention towards the Ancient Beast that didn't seem to let up on either of them.  It was thankful that the tiger was focusing more on the hunter than the woman behind him.  It didn't seemed to be much of a problem though, as any damage that was accumulated, he figured that his newest guild member would back him up with a supportive role.  It got the hunter thinking that would make him crack a little smile.  Technically, the hunter was a support / dps role of his own, though, it could easily be lumped in with the shifty scout players.  No, he saw himself more of a risk taker than a fight or flight expert.  Maybe, that is why the hunter is always helping those in need, 'cause that just give him another reason to be in harms way.

The final strike would ring out against the beast, even going a little overboard with it as after three hits of the eleven hit combo, the beast was done.  Shattering out to meet the moon mother, the hunter watched on until the light crystals were nothing, but shimmers in the sky.

Turning around, the hunter would see the fidgeting woman from before looking more worried than thankful.  Was she lost in her own thoughts, or what?

"Are you.. alright?"

The hunter asked while genuinely concerned for many things that were wrong, about the entire situation.

"Ugh! No, I mean...Yes! Yes, I am quite alright thanks to you. You saved me." she said with a small smile, her otherwise porcelain skin was stained hot red from the massive blush on her face. She wasn't thinking when she decided to embark on this floor and not have a piece of mitigation while she basically suicided over the idea of collecting materials without a proper escort. She sighed, and then bowed deeply at the Hunter, "Forgive me, my name is Anemone. I am actually the new recruit for the Knights of the Blood Oath, umm, the Vice Commander asked me to join." She said while her fingers twitched and fidgeted. She rose her head, pulling back the long blonde longs of crimson streaked hair from her radiant ruby colored eyes.

She was sure she was gonna be a goner if this player didn't show up to help. "I was apologizing because I got you into a bit of a mess. I am sure you would have much more enjoyed the time of going at your own pace instead of having to defend me. It was my fault for not coming more prepared. Umm, I am not used to combat nor have I got any skills for such things. I can heal! and I can find things...sometimes. More like..." her eyes looked away from the player, "I suppose more often than not, things find me. Like...that Tiger just now. Please let me make it up to you somehow!" she said moving closer to the player, almost breaking his own little personal bubble. Anemone let out a small noise that she buried with her hand, "I didn't mean to get so close to you. You are probably thinking I am the single most strangest person you have ever met, huh? I get that. A lot." she was an awkward girl with her very own unique set of quirks. But getting to know Anemone, she was one of the nicest and purest people you would ever meet here or in the real world. She just had a lot of mental baggage.
