[PP-NK-F1] <<Earning a living>> (Dominion and Solomon)

Recommended Posts

Dominion woke up one morning while still lying against the first floor building in the alleyway, having slept a couple days from a long and tedious quest. His unbuttoned shirt slightly moved around with the small breeze that moved through. He recalled that there was one quest which he never completed, and it had been so long that he had forgotten it until now. Wolfie had gone somewhere, and the likelihood of his return was low. Dominion would still hope that one day he could see that man again. Suddenly, Dominion leapt into the air, landing on his feet. He looked over at his new monkey companion, who stood at about his knees, looking very unimpressed. "Enma, how can you be so negative? Did I not display my physical talent on your level?", Dominion began laughing. Dominion extended his arm and Enma jumped onto his shoulder. Dominion was rather large, but it wasn't even noticeable to Dominion. He needed to go out and find that guy, who stood in the forest trying to hide from him. It had been quite a few days since he went out.

Solomon, having fell asleep on top of the thick forest gateway, realized that several days must have passed. He lifted his head from where he placed it, in the fold of his elbow. He moved his right hand to lift his body up slightly. He could now see that it was morning, a small amount of light spilling through the top canopy of leaves. Where had the blond haired man gone? He had just recently confronted the giant monkey on this floor, which confused him further. What would make that guy think that he was in any way superior to the monkey? Solomon moved his gaze back from the light of the sun beaming through over to the opening that lead into the tunnel. He shifted his body weight and easily squeezed through the crevice and stood there for a moment. He took in the sight, or the lack there of. The second layer of greenery between the top canopy and the roof of the tunnel made a seal. Almost no light was able to illuminate this darkness. In this place, anything could lurk. That was why Solomon chose this spot, as he knew the penalties of doing so. If he were to get caught, he would be in the right to explain himself. That would be great, except he didn't really feel like making any conversation.

Dominion, with Enma supporting his own weight on Dominion's shoulder, walked out of the alleyway. They quickly took a turn, and then one more which would lead directly out of the town of beginnings. He quickly realized that the players were already out and about, taking on foes. He would be one of those people, fighting to make his way with a group. However, at the current moment, there was currently no guild that interested him. He had sworn his loyalty to Domarus, a man who obviously had the talent needed to make a difference as a leader. Dominion looked toward the ground, trying to find the dirt path that lead to the forest. He would need to get this before he could return and also complete his quest. Plus, it was pretty obvious that Enma liked being in the trees. Dominion finally spotted the dirt road, beginning to walk along it.

Solomon quickly ran through the other side of the tunnel, making good timing for passing by mobs. The sun was beginning to break through the canopy a bit more today, which was no necessarily a bad or good sign. It just meant that the day would be mostly clear, and there would be little to no chance of rain. He quickly weaved his way back to the break in the forest, searching for the monkey. Solomon, once he had finally arrived at the cave again, found his way through the waterfall. He picked up his charred stick and made a mark on the cavern wall. *This will have to do until the monkey returns from... well whatever it is that the monkey does during this time.* Solomon turned and walked out from the cave like structure behind the waterfall. He gazed up at the trees, which were now empty. The air felt the same, but it just didn't seem as threatening as usual.

A rather large boar seemed to be attracted to the sight of Dominion who walked along the dirt path. The appearance of a boar that focused even on the dirt path outside the town made Dominion a bit anxious, as any random starting player would have difficulty getting past places with so many boars on patrol. Dominion extended his arms, aiming to take out this boar after several hits, even though he didn't wear any battle armor at that moment. It would certainly be a long and drawn out battle, as Dominion still lacked the skill required to take the beast down immediately. Dominion quickly moved in for a strike, but found that the boar wasn't taking the fight seriously. It just appeared to be walking around him, as if Dominion had as much time as would take, no matter how long the battle would be drawn out. Dominion noticed that Enma had gained the attention of the boar, and he therefore equipped all his battle gear with little prior warning.
