This guy had come in and done more damage then he had with a lot easier way, he had failed so bad, and this guy had come in and done it easily... He couldn't help but be jealous, regretting not being more prepared for this. He went up to the rock, point blank, no way he could miss. And as he went to punch, one of the chunks broken off slipped, landing on his foot and knocking him over. He fell onto his back, and with his rage, he quickly flipped back onto his feet. His eyes were flaring like mad, if he was in a different game, for all he knew he could have evolved or something with how pissed he was at this, though now more then ever he was determined to break this rock, and he wasn not going to stop trying. Hei 0 Posted April 11, 2017 #82 Report Share Posted April 11, 2017 (edited) - How is it possible, that he is not able to destroy the rock, I mean it might be bad luck, that this rock fell onto him, but there might be more behind it. Maybe it's all part of the quest, if it wasn't that he might just be really unlucky with this - Hei thought and scratched his head. There was a little chance that he would break the rock, and so he would not attack it to not steal Stryder his big moment. As he had come here to have a look at the hut and it's surroundings at first and he hadn't done this by now he walked away from the stone, leaving it to Stryders mercy and looked at what there was to be found. There was a bench next to the hut, right where he had expected one when he had seen the hut from afar, so he could actually have his lunch break here. Besides that the hut was uninterestingly normal, the old man living within was some kind of hermit and Hei wasn't keen talking to him, so he did not enter the hut now. He shrugged, before tightening the gloves. He loved the feel of them, he felt... so much stronger. He hadn't felt this before, only after he had tightened them he felt it. He punched his fist, a mini shock wave actually coming off, sending a gust of air around him. With a grin, he looked at the rock. This was it, he knew it. He was going to smash it this time. Sky took a few steps up towards the rock before giving it a single, power punch. As soon as his fist hit it, a huge shockwave was let out, and within a moment of impact, the rock exploded, literally. The whole thing shattered, pebbles going outright everywhere, though most blew right off the cliff, but around where it had been was a load of dust. He grinned, pumping his fist in the air before checking his skill list. The quest was completed, and he now had the martial arts skill, though it was only rank one... He smiled, shouting. Hei 0 Posted April 11, 2017 #84 Report Share Posted April 11, 2017 (edited) Hei heard a loud bursting sound, followed by a even louder "HELL YEAH!!!" from where the rock had been seconds ago. Small stone particles flew across him and he saw Stryder standing there, his fist up in the air and nothing to see of a big fat rock. "Hey Stryder, have you done it, and more important, is the quest finished?" Hei shouted over to the man who just opened up his menu, probably to have a look at his skilllist. - If he got the skill he wanted it is nice, even though I don't think I would do something that frustrating just to get a silly skill. - And so Hei wandered over to Stryder to congratulate him for his bis success. On his way over to Strider Hei saw something shining on the ground, and so he bend down to have a look on it. It was a small chunk of rock, full of crystals and just the right size to make a button out of it. He put it into his inventory, walking to Stryder and reached out his hand to shake Stryders and congratulate him. While looking at Stryders hand he realized that the fighter still had the gloves he had borrowed and so he added "And by the way, I need these back, they aren't mine and I have to bring them back to their owner" Spoiler ID# 81988 Loot: 17+2 = 19 -> found mats +1 T1 material Edited April 11, 2017 by Hei Link to post Share on other sites
Eatos 0 Posted April 12, 2017 #85 Report Share Posted April 12, 2017 (edited) The girl simply watched as Stryder was finally successful in breaking the rock in half, shattering wide open. She dragged herself onto her feet and walked over, after all, she had put in a lot of effort into killing that rock, so while it wasn't her getting the upgrade, it was still a victory. She started walking forwards, only to trip over on something. Looking at it, she picked it up, and laughed to herself as she stored the material in her inventory. Guess this wasn't a total bust after all. She'd managed to pick something up from it all, and while it wasn't something huge, it was something her store could use. "I guess that's victory of the rock huh?" She asked as she walked up to the pair of them "Does that mean you've finished the quest?" Her question was slightly obvious, the more she thought about it. With the rock broken, the whole purpose of their being up on the mountain was over. He smiled, passing them back to him. "Thank you so much for helping us, it was good luck that you wondered up here. Hope i see you again in the future sometime!!!" He said to Hei, smiling before staring back at the rock. It was over. He had been at this all day, but it was finally over. Sure, it was easy, there was no real danger. But the stress of missing a rock... He now knew it. He was ready in case he had to help someone else fight this rock, and now with his new skill, he was able to actually break it easier. As he thought that, the marks on his face faded, siginifying he now was a martial arts skill wielder.
