      The SAO Staff Team!   02/21/2017

      Hello members of SAO-RPG!

I'm sure most of you (if not some) have noticed or heard changes were made to the staff team. If you are applying to staff, you may have noticed that the application process has recently changed. This has all happened because of a reformation of the staff team and the way it operates. The staff now has separate teams for development. These teams are: Floor Creation Team [Floors, Quests/Events, Bosses], Systems & Clarifications Team, and Player Support Team.

"Who is on these teams?" Well the answer to that lies below! Floor Team Systems & Clarifications Team Player Support Team * - Denotes Team Lead

We also have a team to work on and develop the current systems but that team will search for its members and is not allowed to be applied to.

Now you may be asking, "Shark, how does one apply to the Staff Team?" And I have but 1 simple answer!
Go read this thread and it may answer all your questions!

If you have any more questions, send me a PM and I will answer your questions about staff. (Only the format of teams and/or the application process)

      [Live] 2.5.0 Patch Notes   10/02/2017

<<2.5.0 Patch Notes>> Main Guide: The main rules/tutorial section has been rewritten. Resources: A Resources section has been added. This contains reference material such as the SP/Level chart, Skills list, Enhancement list, individual profession stats, and a new FAQ. General Rule Changes: Word count requirement in Merchants & Shops section has been reduced to 100 from 150. Col logs are no longer required to include in journals. The Banker system will be used to track currency/materials going forward. New characters and Rebirth characters may choose a Starter Package containing a variety of basic equipment, col, materials, and/or potions. NK/KE tags have been removed. The table for SP gain based on the number of players in a thread has been removed. SP gain is now issued at 1 SP per 3 posts, up to the number of completed pages. (e.g. 3 SP for three pages, requires at least 9 posts) A Skill Refunding System has been added. Players may now pay a col cost to remove known skills and receive a refund of the invested SP. Rules on vanity items have been clarified. Health regeneration outside of combat has been adjusted to (10 * Tier) per post. Stealth and Stealth Detection no longer have a base rating for players. Both now use a LD roll plus a Stealth Rating/Stealth Detection modifier. NPCs and monsters still utilize a base rating (10 as a baseline for player-created mobs). 'Using cover' no longer adds to Stealth Rating. Low light or darkness conditions grant a +1 to Stealth Rating, down from +2. Switch has been added as a game mechanic (no longer a skill). Players may call for a Switch when landing a successful attack. If the Switching player also lands an attack, a Switch is performed and the two players may immediately swap hate values. Players are required to post their level, stats, equipment, skills, etc., in their first post in a thread. This should be a snapshot of your character and should not be changed after the initial post. Players are still allowed to declare their characters at a lower level or with fewer items than what they currently have, but may not claim items that have not been approved or were obtained in an unlocked thread. Turn order rules have been modified slightly to reflect the leniency of Boss Raid combat. Players may post in any order so long as each player and the enemy has gotten one action in a single round. Outside of Boss Raids, parties may have a maximum of 4 players. Combat with more than 4 players should follow a Group order similar to boss raids. When fighting multiple enemies, players must now make individual rolls for each mob. This applies to both making attacks against multiple enemies and multiple enemies making attacks. One roll no longer applies to/for all targets. The Running Away mechanic has been updated. Running away from combat now uses a LD roll with a set of situational modifiers. The col/material values and frequency in the loot table have been adjusted. Labyrinth searching rules have been adjusted. The map fragment system has been removed. Bonus rewards for scouting and defeating the field boss have been adjusted. Housing and Guild Halls have been completely revamped. PvP rules have been adjusted. Players must make an initiative roll when engaging in combat with other players. The extended Player Killing rules/restrictions have been removed. Rules on player cursor colors have been expanded. There is now a strike system for criminal infractions that would cause a player's cursor to turn orange. Killing a green player outside of a duel now results in a permanent orange cursor. An NPC Guard mechanic has been added. Orange players may now enter safe zones, but must stealth/run from guards in certain safe zones. NPC guards have a Stealth Detection rating equal to (Floor / 3), rounded down. Added more detail to character death rules. The RGQ system has been removed. Crafting Changes: Fishing as a profession has been removed. It is now a skill. The CD result chart has been adjusted across all professions (except Merchant). Good and Bad quality items have been removed from the CD result chart. Salvage chances have been adjusted. Alchemists now have a chance to salvage one or both materials when attempting to craft crystals. Crafting Die tools no longer have an effect. Consumables, familiars, housing, and some items still provide EXP and Crafting Attempt bonuses. The process of crafting Feasts has changed slightly. Cooks may now take 3 identical food items and spend two materials to combine them into a Feast. A Feast can be used in a thread to provide that enhancement to up to six players. Artisan craftable item types have been modified (Trinkets, Jewelry, Sculptures). The buffs they can provide are largely unchanged. Alchemist craftable item types have been modified (Salves, Potions, Crystals). The buffs they can provide are largely unchanged. Skill Changes: Extended Weight Limit Removed Ranks - 15 SP cost Now adds +3 Battle Ready Inventory slots Adjusted Mod: Large Pockets Now has 3 Ranks Cost set to 5/3/2 SP (10 total for Rank 3) Now increases single Battle Ready Inventory slots to 7/10/15 Removed 'Larger Pockets' and 'Largest Pockets' mods New Skill: Fishing Cost: 10 SP Effect: Use a dice roll to fish something up based on a natural CD result: Gatherer Now has a chance to yield 1-3 bonus materials based on a natural CD result Sneak & Hide Renamed to 'Hiding' Now grants +1 Stealth Rating per rank New Rank 3 Mod: Untraceable Cost: 9 SP Effect: Negates the effect of the Tracking skill against the user. [BR-F20] Paving the Way to Floor 21 (Floor 20 Boss Battle - Mothra the Magnificent)

Recommended Posts

The day was dawning as the planned time approached on the 20th floor. The sun arose in the background, giving an eerie glow to the trees that surrounded the entrance to the boss room. Nothing could be seen or heard behind the gates, as it was too dark to be seen, as well as the trees and shrubbery that surrounded the room was far too thick to see through. The gate was made of rough redwood and iron, holding them together and unable to see past it, as it towered above the players, seeming to reach the top of the trees, unable to see the exact point of where the doors stopped near the top.

A small breeze blew through the area, the leaves of all the plants rustling, giving an ominous sound that set the tone for the boss fight. No music could be heard, and their probably wouldn't be any as the doors had not yet opened. Soon there was a large gust of wind coming from behind the door as the boss awoke from its slumber. the gates groaned against the large gusts, seeming to give way little by little. The gusts intensified and the doors gave more and more. There wouldn't be much time until the doors opened and the boss fight would begin.

Heathcliff was ready. It had been too long since they had last tackled a boss, but he was letting the players themselves drive the progress. It was their lives at stake, their worlds. He had only wound the clock, set the rules, and let the world loose. He wanted to be a denizen of this world, not it's caretaker, and to that end the Cardinal system handled the maintenance. To everyone else, and even himself, he was just another player. The deck was stacked in his favor, but he had wanted to live in this world ever since he was a kid and had come up with the original idea. Now here they all were, prepared to fight for their lives for the sake of themselves and others. There was no end game for Kayaba. This was the end game. Win or lose, there was no making it out of this for him.

Tugging on his gauntlets, he surveyed the path through the labyrinth to the boss room. He was apparently the first one here, and somehow that felt right. He had his equipment and consumables ready to go. Now he had only to await the rest of his guild.

Baldur had not yet spent much time on this floor, and as such he left early to gather his things and then do a bit of sightseeing on the floor. He had been wide eyed and careful as he made his way up the levels of the labyrinth. The map was their guide on how to get to the boss room, and had been made available to everyone at the meeting. He saw, along the long narrow path leading up to the room, the Crimson Paladin himself. It seemed Heathcliff was the first to fight this time, and Baldur was the second. He hesitated a moment, before willing his feet to work again as he made his way towards the red armored knight.

"Ohayo" Baldur called out and waved with an upraised right hand as he approached the guild leader. He was a nut Baldur had yet to crack. He wasn't sure what the man's intentions were, nor of his skill as a guild leader, but Baldur by and large found that he liked quite a few of the men who followed him. By proxy, it meant he was in Baldur's good graces more than he was in his bad. Surely they knew something more than he did about the man.

He glanced around at the door and the area they were in.

"Looks like we're the first ones here..." he winced at the terrible small talk as he began to take out his buffs and consume them.

Hikoru appeared on the 20th floor quietly. After some quick shopping for supplies for this fight, he was ready to fight for the right of Tier 3, and one step closer to freedom. He entered stealth right away, ready for this fight and to show his newfound strength. He had started to work on his DPS skills and had been doing a good job so far, about halfway done with the skill itself and he hoped that he would be able to deal some good damage before anything else happened. He gave a small yawn and pulled up his cloak's hood, disappearing into the shadows. He was next to a small stream that ran through the walls, causing his cloak to shimmer and soon causing most of his body to disappear. Knowing Takao he would probably find him, but honestly he didn't care. He wanted to get this done, and he would focus on killing the boss, or Ariel if the time arose.

The labyrinth was no hassle for Shield. Having been in the party that found the lion's share of the fragments that pieced together the layout of the place, he had not only the factual knowledge but the first hand experience of exploring it. That aside, however, he had more than a little bit to be nervous about. The last boss battles he had been involved in had not gone entirely according to plan, and this was no doubt going to be a foe of a different caliber and difficulty altogether. He had been leveling himself night and day to be as prepared as possible, but he has no idea if it would be enough.

He was just finishing off the last of his consumables that he had prepared for the fight when he found himself coming up on the boss room itself. There, he happened upon two figures who he had familiarity with but very little time speaking with. The first was the man who had rallied the forces in the battle against Asterios: Heathcliff. He knew next to nothing about the man, but he seemed to run a tight ship with The Knights of the Blood Oath, and his abilities as a defensive player were unrivaled, so Shield had to have a certain amount of respect for the man. The other was Baldur, who he had visited in his shop. He had appraised the very first item Shield had ever found, and in a lot of ways, piqued his interest in mercantile pursuits. Shiled had come a long way since then.

He hung back for the time being, mentally preparing himself for what was to come, assuming there was such a way to do so. It was impossible to say until they saw the boss' abilities with their own eyes.

Sitting in his rocking chair, Macradon rocked back and forth. He would let out a deep sigh as he would slowly open up his eyes. “It’s time” he thought and would get up from his chair. Slowly approaching the chest with consumables. Macradon would chuck down a Damage potion and a Damage Mitigation potion. He would take a good handful of Sagefuards in his inventory, remembering his Banner of Command and a pair of Cerberus Souls. “What weapon should I pick …” he thought as he glared at the two swords in his belongings. He would grab a hold of the big slab of steel, the Sword of the Ancients. He would keep it tight and apply a generous coating of the flaming Cerberus Soul upon the blade. Light red and orange flames would gently appear upon the blade. Macradon would don his usual armor as he would exit his shop on the 1st floor “Come, let’s go for a Raid!” he said to Balthazar, his familiar. The small owlbear cub would screech as a reply and follow its partner. As they got to the teleportation plaza in the town square, Macradon would mutter the words “Warp - Floor 20” as he was engulfed in bright turquoise light as he was transported to the 20th floor.

Venturing towards the labyrinth he had helped clearing, Macradon would make sure he had everything. His sword strapped on his back, his armor fasten carefully and his companion, Balthazar, tagging along. He would not long after arrive at the gate to the boss’ room, there seeing a few faces who had already shown themselves. Macradon would bow his head towards the Commander “Commander Heathcliff, good to see you” he said. Quickly after, Macradon would nod his head at Baldur the Samurai and Shield the Merchant. “Hey Baldur, I got this one for you” he said as he approached the swordsman “It should hopefully aide us in this fight” he hoped as he hander over his remaining Cerberus Soul. Before much else, Macradon would be quick to consume a Diamondskin potion, feeling a slight tingling as a field of energy would cover his body like it just turned into a hard carbon based shell.

God d**n its about time for this day to happen, he looked down to his extremely rare Talon along with his Familiar roaming on the ground with a smile upon its face bringing one to Beat's as he had taken a deep breath... his eyes had opened and thought to himself, this boss was surely without a doubt to be the equivalent to tier 3 power, and the thought of tier 3 is almost scary to Beatbox as well... never would he ever imagine that he would make it this far... but he's here. But, he refuses to die here today at this boss fight, he looked up with sparked determination as he arrived upon the scene where many players had already arrived, and went to his group in which he exclaimed that he was ready... he made a promise to Teion that he would be okay at the end of this boss battle, and he will do so with all the power he can muster.

A loud, hollow pop crackled in Takao's neck as he stretched it to one side, green eyes set upon the warmly lit forest that laid ahead. They had chosen a morning raid for the floor boss battle and despite Takao's fervent dislike of mornings, he had managed to drag himself out of bed and into the twentieth floor's wilderness. A few had shown up before him, though that was of no surprise considering his foot-dragging speed, yet he was still surprisingly early. He expected to be one of the last to arrive; folks seemed to be gung-ho to clear this floor and attain the next set of numbers-bolstering unlockables.

As he passed by Hikoru, he offered him a lazy wave and greeting. "ey Hikoru."

He approached the first familiar face he saw, and regarded Baldur with a friendly wave whilst his other hand covered a yawn. "ey Baldur." Takao said, his words only slightly obscured by the yawn as it died down into a simple exhale. "Been a while since I seen ya', eh?" He continued, staking a claim that was moreso due to his own lack of social activity than not.

"S'bout time we got this one over with." he said, though more under his breath and to himself than for the sake of conversation. His gaze slid to his shoulder, where Otoko was perched, and he spoke softly to the rat-like dragon. "Chill in the background when the fightin' starts, a'right? Make sure y'ain't in the line of fire or anythin'."

Itzal made his way to the destination across the branches of the trees, keeping out of the aggro range of the mobs below as they would slow him down.  Soon enough the destination was in view and Itzal sped up.  Velnia glided through the trees nearby as well.  Soon enough he reached the area and jumped down, rolling to reduce his damage to nothing and walked into the area the others were gathered.  Heathcliff, Baldur, Shield, Macradon, Beatbox and Takao.  Those were the players he saw.  More than likely Hikoru was already here, but he felt he should talk with the others.  He nodded to Heathcliff as a quick greeting and walked over to Shield.  "Hey man.  You ready for this boss?  If it has extremely high health I'm guessing it will have high damage as well."  He looked over at Takao.  It was possibly the second or third time he was seeing the player up close.  The infamous scout.  Itzal himself had maxed out all his scouting skills so the only thing that separated the two was their levels.  (And the +4 LD item Tak has but Itzi don't know about it :p)  He looked through the hood of Niger Natio at the doors that seemed to be very slowly opening up over time and used his damage, mitigation and safeguard items.  With that Itzal hoped he was ready for this fight.  While Itzal was talking with Shield Velnia flew over to the scout she had heard about and hovered in front of him.  She wanted to greet him like she usually did.  Thus she stared her red eyes into his own for a little bit.  After about half a minute she blinked and grinned, landing on him and crawling all over him at lightning speed before sitting on his shoulder and licking his cheek.

The Dawn Breaker stood tall as he walked forward to the group. The stretches to get here had gone quite slow, and he knew that this next boss would come much faster. He and Itzal would ensure it. "Alrighty" he would say before beginning to ensure his items were all in order. He tapped near his head and his helmet came into view, masking his face entirely. Only those who knew him to wear his White and Gold armor would know that it was him... or they could look at the CA emblem on the shield and probably guess. He had gone in a completely calm state of mind. This would not be an easy battle, this was serious time. A few had yet to arrive, but many already stood at the ready. Heathcliff had already arrived and so had Shield, which meant three of the four tanks had arrived. He drew Maiden's Kiss to examine it for just a moment. He felt much less skittish since the last fight. He was much stronger and confident in his abilities, along with the fact that he had matured quite a bit. He had become more of a dutiful player. "Alright. Let's do this. Sol" The Phoenix familiar landed upon his shoulder and pecked him, acknowledging they were ready. He would also be tying to deal some damage in this battle.

There was quiet clacking of boots down the dimly lit pathway as Anemone found herself walking a lonely road. She had not been inducted properly into the Knights of the Blood Oath, but she was given by invitation by Mack, the current Vice Commander of the Guild, unfortunatly, she had not met all of the guild members yet but only a few. So for her to be here now was a crucial undertaking, not only would she be part of the main force stepping forward, she was also the Heal and Support of the group. She let out a small sigh, blonde and crimson streaked hair bouncing from off her shoulder with every step. The cordial woman, small and meek smiled softly as she moved through the dungeon making her way to the small forming party in front of her. She would nod and smile to the others only quickly moving her petite form to the those who bathed in white and red. She adorned her usual gear. The white and red shirt with red pants, and a white satchel hanging off the side of her hip.

"I am sorry I am late. I was attempting to prepare as much as I could. Macradon, we spoke briefly before the meet up, I brought what you were seeking."

The woman lifted her hand and scanned over her items and selected the Lemon'N Honey Fish Filet, and traded it off to Macradon, her guildmate. "I know it's not much and I wish I had more time to prepare for the others as well. But I am sure you'll make good use of it." Her eyed eyes shied away from the man with his brilliant armor, she would hope that he had what she was asking for as well, a simple Safeguard potion would make her feel all the more comfortable while this undertaking would start. Her eyes looked up at the gallant male with the long pony tail, "Hello Commander Heathcliff. I am so glad to finally get to meet you. I will do my best with Healing the group today!" She said with a small cheer, a gesture that showed off the pure innocence of the woman and that she was rightfully nervous down to the bone as well.

She placed both hands at her side and stood towards her group and looked down, she felt out of place being alongside so many courageous people.

With a small sigh to himself Calrex looked forward as he arrived at the gathering place for the next floor raid. Casually glancing around the group, he saw many individuals that were fellow veterans of the frontlines, while others appeared to be newcomers. He gave a nod to all the people in attendance that he could see, not really bothering to check if there was someone hiding. Before even arriving he had popped a Safeguard on himself, something that was becoming habit to him whenever he entered these situations.

Moving over to the side he stretched his arms, "Guess it's just like clockwork now." Swiping on his menu his upper body was encapsulated in the heavy armor chest plate that was the Grand Crest: Aegis. This was followed by the Grand Guard II, both halve appearing attached to his forearms.

Following this he produced two buff items, something he had not done in quite a long time, giving a look at each before activating them. First was the Tiger's Rage Potion, which boosted his damage by a small factor. This was followed with a single charge of his Woodland Armor, which pushed his mitigation even higher than usual, "This is a battle on the threshold of Tier 3 supposedly. Better be extra careful on this one."

He knew there was a Cerberus Soul that was in the shared inventory between him and Teayre, but the Ultramarine Knight still recognized that the redhead was the damage dealer of the two of them, which meant that she'd likely make better use of the temporary enhancement that he could. Placing his hands into his jacket pockets the bluenette gave a small sigh before leaning against a nearby wall, "Now to wait."

Quickly, people began to approach, finally here. One particular person was one Macradon was focused on. It was a person he hadn’t met too much, but just briefly conversed with, Anemone. She was the newest recruit to the KoB, and having her with the team was a great asset. They were in dire need of a focused healer in the guild for the frontlines, and it was clear that she was a great addition. “Don’t worry about it” Macradon said with a smile as he would receive the dish she had prepared. Macradon would open the Heads Up Display and open his inventory “You’re probably gonna need this, then” he said and traded over a Safeguard potion for her to use. Looking at the many people who had arrived, Macradon would exhale deeply and hope that many more were to arrive. He would eat the delightful dish that actually tasted of food, which was quite the amusement inside this game. The dish would be finished in good time as Macradon was in need of one last thing. Opening his notes, Macradon would find the name and title of the boss they were going up against, ‘Mothra, the Magnificent’. Quite a fabulous name for a floor boss, Macradon was quite fond of it, hoping to see something great when the doors would open. Opening up his tracking screen, Macradon would insert the information he had been given and follow up on the targeting bulls-eye that would show him to the door, telling him that his target was in there.

Baldur accepted the <<Cerberus Soul>> from Macradon with a humble thanks and a slight bow of his head.

"Arigatou, Macradon. Hopefully this will help." He applied the consumable to his weapon, causing the <<Muramasa>> to be wreathed in flames. The sword had it's own, wicked light to it. The cursed blade then lost its luster as Baldur sheathed it once more. It's power was... intoxicating. That was the reason why Baldur only used it when there was a purpose to use it for.

"Is this the new guild member you mentioned at the meeting? Ohayo gozaimasu." Baldur intoned with a kind and respectful bow. "it's a pleasure to meet you, and great to hear that we have another healing for the frontlines. Hopefully some day we'll have a tank and healer for every party. It looks like we're getting close to that."

After offering his smile and welcome, Baldur turned to look at Calrex and Takao, swiping with his hand to open up the menu and inviting the both of them to a party.

"Hey Takao, yea, it has been a minute. Hey Cal-kun, how are you? You guys ready for mothra" Baldur said the name with a bit of a mocking smile. He wasn't trying to make light of the boss or the risk they faced, but rather cut any tension with a bit of levity.

Piera hadn't yet been to the twentieth floor though she was just one level lower than it, she doubted that she was anywhere close enough to survive battling its mobs. Which was why she was sprinting through the sunny floor with haste, trying her hardest not to aggro anything. She had noticed about an hour ago that the scheduled time released for the boss fight was getting closer...very much closer actually. And Macradon still had yet to pick up his items! She was sure she had messaged him about it, but perhaps he had forgotten? Or didn't see it....or something had happened... He wasn't on her friend's list so she couldn't see his current status. But if she just went to the meeting place before the boss room, she could just give the items to him herself! ...Or pass them out to whoever needed them if he wasn't there. They were already payed for after all. But she hoped it didn't come to that.

When the armored woman arrived at the doors of the boss room, there weren't quite as many players milling about as she would have thought and supposed that there might be more time left than she had thought. Catching her breath, she saw many familiar faces, though some less than others. Green eyes scanned over the players, raising a hand in greeting upon seeing Takao and nodding at Shield. Finally she saw the white haired man she was looking for and marched up to him with a mildly aggravated expression. "Oy. Forget something?" She asked pointedly with raised eyebrow before sending a trade request.

[Piera Traded @Macradon 3 Perfect Tier 2 Damage Potions & 3 Perfect Tier 2 Damage Mitigation Potions]

"Can't go into battle without those." The brunette sighed before seeing Anemone standing next to him and smiled slightly. "Good luck in your fight. Keep everyone healed as best you can." Remembering that the woman had said that she was a healer like herself. Obviously immensely better though... Maybe one day she'd be joining them as a comrade rather than an errand girl. Backing away from Macradon, she waved with a bob of her head. "Put my potions to good use." Glancing around at the rest of the players as she continued to back away, Piera felt something swell inside of her and she suddenly raised both hands and called out loudly for the group to hear, "GO FRONTLINERS!" With burning red ears, she then turned tail, her purple cape flapping behind her as she ran all the way back to the safe zone.

Macradon would straighten up, startled by something ... Someone called him out. Looking over at the direction of the voice, Macradon would see Piera standing there. “Oh, Piera! … U-uhhm, forgot something?” he replied, not too sure on what she were on about. The knight would stand confused for a second before she would do the trade. “Oh those … yeah I forgot …” he said in an embarrassed manner as he scratched the back of his head. “Thanks a lot for coming out here yourself to deliver them …” he would say with a smile on his face. He would nod and wave back at Piera as she would walk away again “I shall! Trust me, I shall!” he replied with a big smile and a broad wave. Letting out a lighthearted chuckle, Macradon would turn around again and face the door, but he didn’t get to focus before a voice would erupt in the background. Macradon, startled once again, would straighten back up. He would look over his shoulder, seeing Piera stand there with her arms in the air. The sight was like a glimpse, one blink and it was gone, but it was there. She would quickly retreat from the area, Macradon would try, but failed to hold in a chortle.

< Macradon received 2x "Infusion of Ironbark", "Ssendom's Bloodrage", "Lowenthal's Revenge", "Blackfyre's Vengeance", "Tristan's Protection" from Trade >

Anemone was thankful Macradon had remembered that certain potion in exchange for the fish. Her mind was anxious because of it, but now at least if an AoE attack had been prompted, she would be in a good state to defend herself. With that in mind, she thanked his wholeheartedly and bowed. While she applied the potion another person had drummed up to them to make conversation, more towards herself as the other. The woman looked up at the brunette samurai, "I don't think I caught your name. My name is Anemone, it is nice to meet you," she smiled big that showed her pure innocence from her heart, something so rare to find these days among the others who have seen and been in intense battles. She nodded at him and was happy to be here as well, "Yes, I hope that I can be of some help. My healing can be a hit or miss, so hopefully it comes down to activating for a good portion of this battle. The faster we get through it, the better." She took a moment to stand with her guild-member and noticed a brunette girl bobbing in from the darkness, Piera, a woman she was not quite familiar with but knew only in a small amount of time. Was she still wracked with revenge? It brought her thought to Aereth and their conversation earlier. She didn't see him here...

The vibrant red and white healer nodded to Piera and smiled, "I'll do my best."

As the sun beams shined thru my window and striked me in the eyes I woke up. I sat up in the bed and stretched my arms high in the air as I let out a long yawn. I looked around with sleepy eyes before I rose out of the bed. I let out another yawn on the way to the bathroom. I entered it and closed the door behind me. After unequiping my oversized t-shirt I had when sleeping I stepped into the shower and turned on the water. It felt so lovely when the warm drops stroke my skin. I just stood there for at least half an hour. When I was done I stepped out of the shower and went over to a chest beside a desk at the corner of the bedroom. There I picked up several potions and some booze. I consumed it all and walked down the stairs to my store. There I picked down the amphibian war rally that hand on the wall as well as the banner of superior support. Then I took ten healing crystals and five antidote crystals and putted them in my inventory. I also putted the banner of leadership with me as well.

Then I headed to the highest unlocked floor and the place of the boss fight. There I unwrapped my banner and it fluttered in the wind. Don’t know how it could be wind underground but it was. It increased me and those that would be in my party damage. I had my inferno armour equipped as well as my darkened axe. And on my wrist under my armour was a braclet made of small blue and transparent crystals.

Shield nodded in greeting to @Itzal as the man addressed him, listening to the warning and taking it with the reverence that such sentiments deserved in times as significant as this.

"Trust me, I know," he said, his normally impassive features considerably harder and more businesslike than was typical. "I think I'm consumed about enough temporary buff items to feed a family of four for a week. If this is going to be a taste of what the next tier of Aincrad has to offer, I don't plan to face take those hits without something to back me up."

It was about this time that a new reptilian figure made itself visible. A multicolored, ornately scaled head poked itself out from under the vanity cloak that hung off of Shield's frame, the  serpentine familiar slithering up onto his shoulders and draping its coils across the back of his neck to address the, to her, unfamiliar player.

"I guess now's the time for introductions then," he said, reaching up to smooth the textured scales of his new familiar. "This is Lilith. Norbert's enjoying an early retirement in a tank in my shop."

Liliths tongue darted from her mouth as she tasted the air closer to Itzal, unsure of what to make of the new player. Her slitted, viper pupils stared blankly ahead as its taste test came back inconclusive.

"Well, it seems like many of the gang are already here," he said, glancing around at those who had joined them. He raised a hand in greeting to Jonathan and Beatbox as well as Calrex, who he had recently been establishing a rapport with. Anemone was also present, though he was unsure if the woman was eager to speak with him after their last encounter.

And where is Beat in all of this, I wonder...

Sey    0

Ah, it looks like the day finally arrived. They were going to unlock the next floor and they were going to get the next tier. This was one of the bigger hypes for the game, as the items were going to be much better during this time around. Sey himself could not wait. But he also wanted to live, so he made sure to consume a lot of things in the process as well. Of course, he needed some damage. He was unable to get the potions of the best in time, so he was going to have to settle for the second best and end up with a rare potion instead. It didn't take too long for him to mix that with the alcoholic hot curry he made. Even better, he then added the fiber bar into his diet as well, ensuring that he would not be taking too much damage from this battle at all. The snow-haired player would arrive on the scene, a bit tipsy from the alcohol, which made him silent, but that was about it. he was not a walking mess like he was the first time in the game, just a little bit... Desensitized. Nothing that will hurt him, fortunately. And eventually as more time passes, he would be able to speak as well, as the alcohol downsides would begin to decrease as well. So he walked on the scene, just waving his right hand to signal his presence.
