PP-F21) A Shelled Obstruction <<Feeding the Enemy>>

Recommended Posts

Paralysis wore off, and Itzal was up much faster than he. Jonathan was a full two seconds behind the man upon attack. Heavy Armor forced him to be slower upon moving, whereas Itzal had free movement, and eventually would be able to get himself moving faster by increasing his agility. Jonathan began making the motions for his skill, making various slashes at Darksteel. The large Tortoise was no match for them, as they were players, and it was just a monster that would soon be a familair. They were just beating some of its power out of it. It had too much power to be able to be controlled at the moment. Most of its body and face was made of a metal substance, but its appeared to only have a light scaly underside. "If we get it flipped over, we might be able to hit its underside. I bet its weaker there!" Getting there would  be the problem. Could VElnia's lightning help him? He charged, thinking possible ways. He struck the side of the turtle, hitting hard, but barely making a dent in its HP.

Itzal continued to release Shadow explosion, targeting only two legs, those being on the right side of the beast.  He saw Jonathan re entering the ring and calling out to him, suggesting they knock it over.  He continued to slash, pierce, and otherwise mark up the creatures legs.  "What do you think it is I'm trying to do?"  He sped up the effort, attempting to land enough hits that forced the beast to feel enough pain, and thus forcing the legs to collapse.  Once that happened Itzal would charge to the other side and launch himself up until he was able to hit it with enough force to tip it onto it's side.  After that came the easy part.  Velnia of course, was keeping the boss distracted, shooting it with lighting and provoking it to keep it's attention on the right side, everything focused on the right.  They had to if this plan was going to work after all.

As he attempted make slashes at the legs, he heard Itzal call back, asking him what he thought he was doing. 'Of course' Jonathan though. 'He has already been trying that, I am not the strategist, he is' The blond watched as Velnia flew to one side and began to zap the side of the creature, keeping its attention to him. The shell began to tilt a bit, and Jonathan attacked, but hit the impentrable shell. This thing was pretty strong, and was quite proud of itself. BUT, apparently superpowered turtles weren't a big fan of electric breathing dragons. Darksteel let out several moans and groans, trying to charge itself into the dragon, and smash Jonathan both at once. "Can take down towns, but is taken down by two little people and a dragon, some monster you are!" The turtle made a deep grunting noise of anger and attempted to crush him once more, but was now tumbing to the right side. They almost had it tipped. Perhaps his weight could lean it the rest of the way over. If he jumped up and slammed downward.

Itzal saw the opening and pushed harder, slashing it's legs more and more until the beast finally collapsed on that side.  When it did Itzal leaped backward and launched himself upward, placing his feet against the underside of it's left shell, pushing it upward slightly with the impact, and kicked with all his force, launching the left side upward while he shot back to the ground, skidding a long ways back.  He then shot forward again, speeding up as he ran, gaining momentum, before he called out, "Jonathan!  Give me a boost!"  Upon the action Itzal would leap, jump off of his friend's support, and while he approached the creature's foot, Velnia came in and shot a powerful volt of lightning that fused with Yakimba, and released Meteor strike on the creature, dealing on hundred and seven damage, as well as applying bleed and paralysis.

Next Time Please add your bleed!

Jonathan kept hacking at the large turtle, keeping it busy long enough for Itzal to make a plan. Then, he heard the man shout at him, asking for a boost. The blond nodded and crouched, placing his shield over his head and angled it so it served as a stair for Itzal. The man bounded off of it and slammed into the side of Darksteel, finally pushing it over on its side. Jonathan smiled and charged forward, his blade glowing a powerful blue light. He charged forward, coming down at the creature. His motion was off course and he ended up grazing the side of the Turtle's metal shell. "Damn" He backed off the turtle. It was still now from paralysis, but it would soon be moving again, fighting harder than ever. As they rounded half health, it would probably giving the rest of what it had into one bundle. "More of the damage!" Jonathan called out. He was a bit disapointed from his mis, but he would get another chance.

Itzal didn't have to be told twice.  He kept up his momentum after landing, shooting back and striking it again and again on the underside of the shell, releasing Meteor Strike as well and attempted to land another critical hit.  However he couldn't detect any weak areas underneath it's shell.  He was guessing that either it's feet, or eyes, would be it's only weak points.  It seemed that Jonathan's blade was swung slightly off and simply bounced off, or glided against the shell of the beast.  Velnia helped Itzal, striking lighting where he was about to hit.  However they failed to land paralysis or reapply bleed.  Still, the bleed effect was finishing it's job and dealing a little more damage.  Itzal watched as the boss was beginning to shake off the paralysis effect and began to get back up.  Seeing this he leaped back enough to avoid the impact of the feet hitting the ground.  "Jonathan it's getting back up again!"

Jonathan began to recover from his fail, observing the battlefield. Itzal charged forward, striking the exposed skin of the metal tortoise, dealing a good amount of damage for the tortoise's well-rounded defenses. A bit of damage fell off the creature from bleed and it was entering low health. A few more well placed hits and it would fall to its knees. He heard Itzal shout and focused on the fact it was getting back up again, which would be a big problem and it would begin to deal quite a bit of damage to them. Jonathan charged forward, his sword taking on a blue light as he charged forward, his curved sword preparing to cut down the metal monster. The creature then began to spin rapidly on its shell, spinning uncontrollably fast before it popped back onto its feet. It did not look that happy at the moment, but instead pretty upset that they had managed to tip it over. It appeared to be a proud beast, and they had hurt its pride. "Just a little more, and we got this"

Itzal wasn't going to let this fight continue on for too much longer.  "Velnia!  Meteor Impact!"  Velnia's head perked up as it had been a while since one of their moves.  She flew away from the battle, seeming to vanish from sight.  Meanwhile Itzal ran up to the boss and kept it distracted.  This was one of the more, calculating moves of theirs.  If Velnia missed then Itzal would be in for one heck of a ride.  He could hear faint booms in the distance and grinned before leaping away from the monster.  The booms slowly became more louder and Jonathan would be able to see in the distance, shockwaves that came closer and closer.  Soon enough Itzal jumped into the air, positioning himself, and Velnia struck his feet with enough force to launch him with enough power and force onto the monster's side, the same exact side, and released Meteor Strike at the same time, forcing the creature to immediately tilt onto it's side, receive bleed and paralysis, and be left exposed once again.  Itzal landed and panted for a bit, gesturing for Jonathan to take his turn.

Jonathan watched as Itzal moved forward, he and Velnia acting together to strike one side, and deal a good spot of damage onto the turtle. Its health was waning, and soon it would be forced to give in to their power. It was not powerful enough to beat them obviously, and Jonathan ebgan to charge forward, hoping to get a good strike in on the obsidian shelled monster. Itzal made a motion for him to attack and he charged forward, the White-edged blade searing with a blue light as he burst into battle, eyes full of strength and determination. He slashed the side of the turtle, dealing quite a bit of damage, and slammed it back over, setting it back sprawled over on its shell. "Heavy Momentum works wonders for me!" He laughed and the turtle went still from paralysis. "Alright Itzal, homeward push now, let's bring her in!"

Itzal watched as Jonathan charged forward, landing a critical hit and dealing an amazing amount of damage, saying something about heavy momentum.  Itzal needed to gather information on that stat.  He had heard about it but forgot what it did.  He thinks it increases one's damage or accuracy if the player misses?  Itzal knew it was his turn next and he charged forward.  He released Meteor strike but when his blade hit the scales it didn't pierce through.  Dang it he thought to himself.  He continued to strike and slash at the creature, doing everything and anything he could to get past it's defenses, even after the sword art had ended.  Unfortunately he was getting nowhere.  He seriously hoped that it wouldn't be like this when he fought Fearx.  He leaped back and shook his head as the beast began to get up again.  "Well...  At least it still has the bleed effect,"  he said as the monster took on a little bit of damage.

The blond stood, the slight breeze moving his hair to the side. His armor glistened in the faint glow from the mushrooms that lit the floor and battlefield. Itzal was rushing forward, a blur of movement, and bursts of light. The man failed to make a dent into the creature's almost impenetrable defense. Jonathan smiled and charged forward, his sword taking on a blue hue. He kicked off the ground and parted his shield to the left, the white gleam flashing upon the creatures skin. He kicked off the side of the turtle, vaulting him even higher up. Then he brought his blade down in an arcing attack. He slammed his weapon into the creature, bringing it even further down in health. It was nearing its breaking point and they would be finished with this fight. The monster stopped and turned towards him, but its leg failed and it ended up in a kneeling position due to the amount of paralysis it had inflicted upon it. It was now brought to near death. "Giving up yet?" he asked joyfully. He looked to Itzal and gave him a nod of approval before shifting into a defensive position, with his shield in front of his face.

Itzal watched as Jonathan made his move.  While the attack didn't deal much, Itzal was certain it would have been more devastating if it hadn't been for the monster's large amount of mitigation.  Itzal wondered if this monster had an offspring that could work as a familiar.  He chuckled and knew that if that were the case, mitigation would be it's enhancement.  He wondered what that would mean for Jonathan.  If he wanted to continue being a tank, he could get gear that had two thorns and one taunt, as well as a shield with mitigation of it's own.  Of course Jonathan might also choose to go for a more dps route as well.  Or both.  He could have gear for either occasion.  Jonathan finished and it was Itzal's turn again.  He dashed forward and released Meteor strike yet again, landing a hit on the monster and reduced it's health almost to zero.  He turned to Jonathan, having to shoo Velnia away who wanted to lick his face.  As he looked at his friend, the bleed finished him off.  "That's the end of it."

Itzal charged forward, dealing the last blow to the creature. Its health bar faded, but the creature itself did not shatter into data pixels. The turtle made a humming noise and it black shadows began to ooze off in dark wisps of air. The form of the turtle began to shrink until it was the size of a medium-sized dog. It trotted over to him, its eyes solemn and the blond knelt down to be eye level with the familiar. It knelt its head down to his hand and tapped it, and a notification that he had received an item. A vanity Item called <<Darksteel Pendant>>. He equipped it and it came as a simple smooth stone attacked to a bracelet. "Darksteel, I hope we fight and are victorious in many battles" He smiled to himself before sliding his finger across the smooth stone. Darksteel went into its shell and began to shrink down, and became a small stone. He went to pick it up, but it already attacked itself to his pendant. "Huh, Neat" He turned to Itzal. "Thank you for assisting me today. It was an interesting adventure that went a lot better than I originally thought it would." He sheathed his weapon and moved forward. "We should finally being to move forward and take on some levels"
