Action: Focused Howl [-8 EN]

One thing that Shield had been trying to keep an eye on, in addition to the health of his party and the energy of the raid party as a whole, was the gaze of the tyrant, and although he was still holding the boss' attention, he was not sure how much longer he could continue to do so without taking direct action. They were close enough now to the end that either way, the dragon should only need one more jab to his disproportionate ego to keep him aggro'd.

Might as well dust off an old classic.

Shield strode forward, advancing on the creature, his shield held out resolutely in front of him. With the flat of his sword, he beat the steel surface like a cymbal, sending a loud, jarring clang through the crystalline cavern. As he did so, he filled his lungs as far as they would go before exhaling with the force of a gale.

"Down here, attercop!" he taunted, clanging sword on shield as he bellowed up at the slowly dying foe. "Old Tomnoddy! All big body!" Slowly, he began to edge circles around the dragon, calling out all the while to draw its ire. "Attercop! Attercop! Down you drop!"

It was unlikely that many of the younger players would understand the significance of the words, but it seemed unjust to play anything fantasy themed without occasionally tipping his cap to the greats.

Tesseleth the Tyrant HP: 2073/12000 - MIT: 135 - ACC: 4 - EVA:  -Stunned-

Boss Room Info: The boss room is a large cavern, with many earthen columns, stalactites, and stalagmites. Littered throughout the room are crystallized warriors who seem to be frozen in place... and time. Some of the ones that remained intact inside the crystals wore solemn and determined expressions while others showed fear and agony as though they have seen pure hell in their last moments. They wore different types armors and weapons but most of the ones inside the crystals in relatively good condition, wore long dark colored capes.

Several shallow pools of clear water lay scattered throughout the cave, they resemble dark spots in the ground, reflecting what awaits above. The ceiling of the cave is high and obscured by darkness, preventing players from seeing the top. Up there ,on a large perch, stands a large winged creature watching down over this desolated domain of darkness. A dragon engulfed in obsidian scales and mists notices movement and noises below. It lets out a loud high pitched warning roar towards all that try to trespass into his capital lands.

Tesseleth Abilities:

First Attack: Tesseleth’s first attack against the first active party will be Dragon Fire. If he is dropped below 75% health in the first round, he will use Dragon Fire, and THEN do his HP related move set.

Slash (Basic Attack): CD 1-7:  Deals 350 Mitigable Damage with it’s claws and/or mouth, to its main target.

Crystallize (Special Attack): CD 8-10, Tesseleth shoots a crystal spine at the active party's main target. The player becomes encapsulated in crystal (paralyzed) and loses 2 hate.  The player remains paralyzed until 100 Damage is dealt to the crystal in order to free him. Tesseleth then immediately performs a (Basic attack) aimed at the non-crystallized main target.

Dragon Fire (AoE Attack) : CD 11-12: Deals 100 unmitigatable damage and sets the active party's main and 3 secondary targets on fire, dealing 50 Burn DOT3. Players may jump into one of the 15 pools of clear water that are scattered around the room and cancel the DOT3; it takes one post action and after usage, a pool shrivels up and disappears.

HP Related Moves : When Tesseleth loses 25% of it’s health (It has 4 Health Bars) it revives crystallized knights which attack after the next party. The dragon flies up to its perch where it can't be attacked. On its next turn, the dragon releases a (Party AoE Attack) against the active party then drops down where it can be attacked again.

Reaver : CD 6-10, the Knight uses charges towards first secondary target against itself or the boss (whichever it isn’t currently attacking) and activates the Reaver sword art, dealing 350 damage and stunning the target. It will then return to attacking the player with the highest hate against the knight.

Whirlwind : CD 11-12 the Knight uses the Whirlwind sword art to attack 4 secondary targets from the main target's party, for 275 each.

The battle continue. During the following seconds, the last knight shattered into blue akd white crystals. "finally" Zandra thougth yo herself. Thou, the first one to attack the knight had commented on what she just said. The berserk healer stared at him and grit her teeths of annoyments. Why did Hikoru cared about what she thougth? "Well, at least Im not trying to reduce the numbers of players figthing and trying to get out of here!" the crimson eyed dragoness shouted back at the master of shadows. She wanted to point out she hvnt forgot and was pretty sure the daggerwielder knew what she meant. Thou, she had promised to not tell anyone about it. On previous boss fights, there hv been a few player kills. So the other figthers probably thougth she was talking about that.

Next moment, something else took her attention. She turned her head towards the tank of their group. A big smile grew on her lips. "Hehe. So Shield is a fan of those too." she mumbled quietly. With a steady grip of here axe, she darted forward. She felt the sword art was ready and activated. "Baruk! Baruk, ai meinu*" was the only thing she got to think in the heat of battle. But since she wasnt a dwarf, she couldnt say the whole war cry. Thou, the only thing she hitted was the ground one centimeeter beside the dragons foot."Fan! Jävle skit!" she said irritated to herself as she disengaged to give enough space to the rest of the groups.

As the mighty Tesseleth broke free of the para-lock prison, the large, webbed wings on its back twitched before stretching out to their fullest. The tyrant lowered its head towards the players, letting out a terrifying roar, smoke bellowing from its nostrils as it did so. How dare these players mock the mighty dragon and toy with him as if he were a simple boar. Rage began to burn in his piercing red eyes, his lips parting to reveal rows of razor sharp teeth. Tesseleth's attempt at scaring off the players of the first group was in vain, as the three players immediately rushed the obsidian dragon. Two of the hits misses, while the third by the ginger haired duelist cut deep into his scaled skin.

Immediately, Tesseleth's eyes locked on Jomei, being the only one to deal damage to the dragon. As its head turned towards the Irishman, its attention was brought back to Shield as he began to taunt him. A low growl bellowed from the dragon's chest, before rushing the man and trying to take a large bit as he had Morgenstern. However, his rage had clouded his attack, for his jaw clamped shut mere feet next to Shield

The last of the dragon knights were finally taken out, leaving nothing but the dragon and it's immense amount of health.  The first party returned to striking it but it seemed that only one player was able to land a hit against it.  Zandra reacted to Hikoru's words and Itzal sighed.  He had to agree with Hikoru since she seemed to be hypocritical at the time, but couldn't they have discussed it afterwards?  Arguing about such a matter in the middle of a boss battle was the worst possible move in his opinion.  Itzal watched as things moved on and it was now his team's turn.  Itzal prepared his blade before nodding to Velnia and charging forward.  He avoided the dragon's attacks to the best of his ability and once again made his way up to it's shoulder, striking the dragon's joint with Meteor strike, dealing ninety six points of damage total.  It was hardly anything but it did knock it's health down below two thousand points.  He rushed and returned to the others and fell in line behind them.  "At this point we could consider it to be like any other dungeon boss with extra mitigation.  Hopefully everyone is focused enough to steadily land some hits."  He looked at the other players in his party.  "Let's try and keep our focus on it ok?  We've almost won so let's finish this!"

Hikoru gave a small sigh as the young Zandra commented back a secret she had promised to keep to herself. He would talk to her about that later, but for now he would have to focus on the fight. He charged towards the giant dragon, landing a hit and taking a good chunk of his health. He smiled a bit as he gave a thumbs up to Itzal, who had attacked a bit before him. He turned to the young girl next to him.

"Either heal us or a tank, or give some energy, your call. " He said, then looked at his energy. He had enough got about two more attacks. Hopefully they would be done by then, or else he would be forced to do nothing for the turns left until the end of the fight. He gave a small sigh and waited for the dragons next move.

Tesseleth the Tyrant HP: 1804/12000 - MIT: 135 - ACC: 4 - EVA: 0

The war had continued to rage on, looking around she hadn't seen any more Dragon Knights, and she had worried that maybe there would be might be more, however if they were around they would need to appear very soon as there is only one target left. Ruby had looked over to her team, disregarding their words as things just were in a fast pace and in such a blur. However she had seen that majority of her teammates HP values were okay and they didn't need to be tended to, looking over to Jomei she had seen his HP falling a little bit without care being put onto it. She had growled as she couldn't really do much about it however, she had just done her job that she was given and that was to heal her team, unable to decide who to heal she had just decided to heal the tank that hadn't been doing anything.

Beat continued to watch, pleased that the boss was now alone and thoroughly on it's last leg. That problem was that if he were to let loose, he would only have a single shot left, which wouldn't end the fight and would not do much in the way of damage in the grand scheme of things. He wanted some leeway in his energy pool before he returned to stun-tanking the boss, especially considering he was certain his hate was beginning to catch up with Morgensterns and he didn't much like the thought of evoking the Dragon's ire. His fingers quickly opened his battle-ready inventory and pulled out yet another power bar.

"Recharging again! I need to have enough to stun the boss and one more big shot!" He said to his team, looking at @Ruby again, "Hey, got anymore of that damage boost? It'll be useful for the last stretch."

The battle so far ran smoothly, even after the departure of the dual-wielding player that had brought pure havoc upon the dragon. Reaching a point where death was imminent, the dragon seemed to become more frantic and hostile. The cavern shook as it roared and attacked, much of the ceiling falling apart. Large chunks of rock had begun to fall from the ceiling. Most players bounded safely to another area to dodge it, but not paying attention he got himself caught in one, taking another large bout' of damage and forcing him to miss an opening to attack. He grunted, lifting his body to throw off the basketball sized rock that had fallen from the ceiling.

His armor seemed to be in fine shape, despite the heavy damage absorbed by the armor itself. He raised his shield, trudging forward towards the dragon that loomed above him. "Alright, lets go for.... 2 out of eight?"

The dragon seemed to be becoming more and more interested in Beat. He would have to make a personal correction adjustment. He prepared his sword art, legion destroyer once more, his sword taking on a bright blue hue. "To be honest, by the end of this game.... You won't be remembered dragon" He charged forward, making eleven solid slashes against the beast's leg. He had dealt a fair amount of damage.

OOC: If you are burned, please do not forget to take the damage on your turn @Ruby @Itzal 50 HP will be deducted.

As the mighty Tesseleth's health drew lower and lower with each attack, his rage burned hotter that the fire he produced from deep within his lungs. One after another, these pathetic humans made a mockery of the dragon, stunning him, and cutting him up as if he were not a force to be reckoned with. Tesseleth swore to himself that he would make every single one of the puny morsels in front of him pay, making each of them a snack that he could gobble up with a single bite. Now with a lust of vengeance, the dragon let out a mighty roar before launching himself forward, shaking the battlefield with each step. Opening his mouth wide open, Tesseleth shot at Morgenstern, who had managed to draw his attention the most this round. However, two players, as well as the tank himself, dug their blades deep into the scales of the boss, causing Tesseleth to clamp his jaw shut in pain, and calling off his attack.

Only small slivers away from killing the big bad Tesseleth. Macradon watched as multiple players went in to attack the big dragon in waves. Awaiting his turn to come, Macradon would think of a plan that would be able to set it up for the rest of the teams once again. All he had been thinking off this boss raid was to take care of the Dragon Knights, which were quickly blown away by everyone, only the boss remained. “Alright. If I just land a good hit with my Galaxy Destroyer once again, I’ll be able to get everyone a free turn of either setting up or attacking, that can work” he thought as he watched the parties go through. As it came to the last party, Macradon and Calrex, Macradon would begin to rush in with his sword. Getting into position, Macradon would begin his cleaving attack, throwing a hard cut towards the dragon, but albeit Macradon’s strength and skill, the hard scales of the dragon was enough to deflect Macradon’s attack like it was nothing. "This didn't go as planned!" he said to Calrex.

Battle Dice: 9 (Accuracy +3) = 12 (+1 Damage)
Sword Art: All Might (17 Energy Used / 1 Recovered / 60 Remaining)
(19x15) - 135 = 150 Damage to Tesseleth

With only the floor boss remaining Calrex watched as each of the teams cycled through, almost like moments in time as they struck at the massive dragon, the creature snapping, growling, and literally flaming at the mouth to try and take them down. No one had fallen into a critical state, but just by looking at the creature's health bar they still had a decent amount of health to go. Calrex gave a small sigh and shook his right arm for a few seconds before Macradon charged in, following in the white and red colored knight's shadow.

His teammate's attack had whiffed, striking at air, but that didn't mean that they were not going to be able to contribute anything for their turn. As the massive greatsword bounced off of the dragon's scales the Ultramarine Knight jumped upwards, landing for a brief moment on Macradon's sword, "Borrowing this for a quick sec!"

Kicking off of the tip of the weapon Calrex launched himself upwards, his right fist glowing with a greater intensity than the past few strikes as his comparatively smaller form was carried up to Tesseleth's massive maw, still clamped shut from the second team's assault. With a small exhale to steady his arm he pulled back and shot his fist forward, <<All Might>> slamming into the side of its mouth once again, "That felt a lot easier than last time."

As if to signify this the bluenette saw a single red number fly away from the boss' form, a critical hit, as he descended back down to the ground.

EDIT: Morgenstern was supposed to deal an extra 122 DMG total due to his Heavy Momentum for the past two attacks. Will edit all posts after this to reflect these changes.

Despite the valiant efforts of the players, Tesseleth still stood strong, and was able to move freely about the cavern. All of the pathetic humans working to take down the mighty beast buzzed around the dragon like flies, waiting to be swatted and destroyed. Their attacks nearly took his focus off of the two remaining players, each who proved to be quite the nuisance so far. Macradon charged forward at Tesseleth with the intent to not only deal damage, but lock the dragon in place with another paralyze. Scowling at the man, Tesseleth braced himself for the attack, which only ended up grazing the thick scales. With that puny attempt out of the way, Tesseleth pushed Macradon out of his way, not dealing any damage, just clearing the player from his path to attack his real target, the one that had just punched the dragon in the side of the face yet again.

The dragons wings extended, picking Tesseleth up into the air as it soared across to Calrex, grabbing the player in its sharp teeth as it passed. The dragon chomped down on the thick armor that Calrex wore, before letting the man fall back to the stone ground.

The entire fight was just a matter of who could hold out longer at this point. Tesseleth had been missing a number of his hits, keeping the other groups safe for the most part, while the players were laying hit after hit against the Tyrant. Jomei could see the rage bubbling up inside of the dragon, before he finally lashed out, taking Calrex between his sharp teeth and soaring over their heads, tossing him to the ground like a chewed up toy. Wide eyed, Jomei watched Calrex hit the ground before turning back the dragon, glaring at the boss.

"Almost there.. almost there.." the man said to himself under his breath, before taking in a deep breath and calling out to the other players. "Give him everything you've got! " he shouted at the top of his lungs before rushing forward at Tesseleth. Using the broken pieces of a stalactite as base, Jomei launched himself into the air, thrusting his blade right into the center of the dragon's eyes. After making initial contact, Cardinal took over, pushing Jomei's body through a multitude of slashes and stabs directed at the space between Tesseleth's piercing red orbs. Once his damage had been done, the ginger hopped out of the dragon's way, his breathing much heavier than before. "I.. don't know.. how much longer I can go.." he said as he eyes his dangerously low energy bar, "I promise Tel, I'm coming home." he said to himself.

Battle Healing [+71 HP]

Action: Energize > Beat [Shield:-10 EN, Beat: +8 EN]

The battlefield had completely changed. With the elimination of tank-workarounds and extra sources of damage, what was once a chaotic and tumultuous fight had become very linear. Shield began gathering energy at the tip of his sword once again, and carefully inspected the health and energy gauges of those around him and those in his party. As he did so, he saw that he was left with a very difficult choice.

Jomei is low... incredibly low. He's in good health, but he probably can't take another full swing after that attack. Beat on the other hand...

He looked back and forth between the two gauges and then back up at the boss and its dwindling health. They were in the final stretch, and everyone would be gunning for that illusive prize. With only one player even close to half health and nobody in any danger of dropping before a healer had a chance to save them, the name of the game was no longer to keep everyone alive. That much was a certainty.

Time to see if I can finally land Beat a last hit!

He swung his sword and launched the sphere of energy towards Beat, watching as the blue gauge below his health ticked up a little further. Turning to Jomei, he gave an apologetic shrug.

"My job is to keep my team alive, and I think I've done a good job of that," he said, no hint of malice or ill intent. "We're all safe, but more to the point, we're all gamers. I'm a helpful man, but I can't hope to be the number one merchant in Aincrad if I'm not shrewd." He cracked a grin at his teammate. It was rare for him to show a great deal of emotion, particularly to those he did not consider a close friend, but he did love a little competition. "Good luck."

Tesseleth the Tyrant HP: 1241/12000- MIT: 135 - ACC: 4 - EVA: 0

Everyone was telling themselves that this was it, that this was the final moment to take this boss out.  Even the hunter was thinking it, but anything can truly happen.  He had heard in the past that bosses sometimes had secondary stages, when everyone was well tired from the first phase.  Although he had never experienced something like that until now, the hunter could say for certain that he really wished that would not be the case.  It had not been so for the last few bosses, though, and this one was the first to break that cycle after several floors of singular bosses.

Seeing Jomei slam a little bit out of Tesseleth, he seemed to be nearing his limit.  He would have rushed over, but there was something to take care of first.  Shield was still keeping his brother-in-arms, Beat, in the fight.  One would think that he would at least keep Jomei, Team 1's heavy hitter afloat for a little while longer.  Especially with Beat using an energy destroying weapon skill, Martial Arts.  Sure, it is one of the strongest skills, but it is also the most draining.  Jomei's, in comparison, should only be slightly weaker, but with better energy usage.  Though, with how much focus Ascendants had their focus on boosting Beat has been concerning, too.

"Believe me, Shield.  I think you've done quite a deal for focusing two teams at once."

The hunter sighed.  Letting his voice become less direct and more casual to any that were closer to him.

"Business as usual, it seems."

Blade engulfed in emerald green, the jade hunter burst forward towards Tesseleth's fore right leg, the same leg that he had been targeting for the entire fight.  The many orange gashes from the others were present, as well.  His eleven hit combo rang out against the creatures hide, causing those gashes to glow far more brightly.  Jumping back, the hunter wasn't as bad off as Jomei, but he wasn't too far behind him.  Hopefully, Zandra could deal a heavy blow against the dark dragon.

The fight would be decided in the next rotation of teams.

So, another round and opportunity to attack the dragon have passed. And with all the dragon knights gone, everyone had free way to attack the big guy blocking their way to the next floor. The next floor that still was a mystery to all of them. How would it look? What kind of mobs was in there that they would have to defeat to get to the next boss? Would they be able to go thru that fight as smooth as thru this, skiping using any tactic and only do what you want? Zandra was disappointed everyone have went thru the boss fight without even reaching half health. This was after all the boss of the floor. The strongest enemy available to them at the moment. She sighed. ‘’When are we gonna get a real challenge?’’ The axe-woman charged the dragon, using her second powerfullest sword art against the huge creature towering infont of her. Thou it was only halffocused and the dragon easily moved his foot a few feet and all the axe cleaved was air and some rocks on the floor. Zandra disengaged and prepared for being a spectator for some time before trying to hit the dragon again.

OOC: Shield only does 87 Thorns dmg rather than 90. Adding 24 HP to Tesseleth to accomodate

The might dragon flinched as more damage was dealt to him, his already dwindling health bar dropping more under the halfway mark. Once the rest of the group had finished their assault, Tesseleth's claws dug into the thick stone ground before letting out another rumbling roar. Red eyes shifted back and forth between the team's tank and the ginger haired duelist, before deciding that Shield was much more of a viable target to attack. Launching himself forward, Tesseleth rose its large claws up over its head, swinging at Shield with a powerful attack. As the dragon's claws collided with Shield, he could feel a stinging sensation that came from the man, running up Tesseleth's arm and dealing damage to him as well.

Hikoru watched as the bosses health slowly depleted. At this point in the fight, he wasn't interested in the fight as much as he had when it first started. He was more excited to finally defeat the boss and continue on with his adventure to the next floor. He charged forward, jumping into the air and seemingly disappearing from view, to only appear above the dragon's head and stabbing it, the repeatedly stabbing all over his body, disappearing and re-appearing in almost random directions, but at the end he made a star out of the symbol, a thing he had been working on and was proud of how the sword art had almost become like an art to him. With such freedom of the shadows and being able to attack, that he was able to learn how to make photos with the slash marks. It's amazing what people will find humorous and fun when they are always alone.

Soon enough it was his turn once again.  The dragon was lower than one thousand points of health at this point, meaning that they would win pretty soon.  Even though he wasn't fixated on the last hit bonus, he did admit that he would like a chance at getting the boss's final drop.  If he could get one, then either it would be enough to replace Yakimba, or he could give it to someone who needs it more than himself.  Who knows?  Perhaps he could give it to Kasier, increasing her chances of staying alive.  He rushed forward and released Meteor Strike, managing to land a critical hit and depleting it's health by one hundred and seven.  It's health was now at seven hundred.  Maybe if someone else got the item, and if they didn't want it, Itzal could see if there was anything they'd be willing to trade it for.  Player's like Macradon had demonics that they were already satisfied with.

Beat's hand swiped the ball of energy out of the air and he grinned at his friend, "Nice! Thanks buddy! It's all yours if it's a tanking item!"

He returned his focus to the Dragon who was now standing on its last legs and was noticeably less animated as it was towards the beginning of the fight. With its soldiers defeated and its efforts nullified by the myriad of stuns, freezes and paralyzing effects they had employed to great effect in the fight. The damage the dragon had managed to inflict had been healed quickly and now, victory was practically a certainly assuming the beast didn't have any hidden tricks they had yet to see.

Alright, well, I've got enough for two big shots, but I should pace myself just in case.

Beat smiled as he charged forward, his hands glowing as he moved around the creature, attacking strategic points and inflicting damage with each strike. It wasn't his strongest sword art by any means, but it was fun to use and it was still enough to get through the dragon's thick hide.
