<<Worn Out Welcome>>

This quest takes place on Floor 3
This quest is repeatable for item only

The master NPC Armorsmiths Griswold, and his wife Hanna, have opened his services to new players of SAO a custom armor shop. He takes orders for no price, but instead asks for materials. That's right. YOU, the player, have to tell Griswold what kind of armor you want. He'll give you the material names and how to get them, and it's up to you to retrieve them.

Entering the shop on Floor 3, you encounter a surly smith and his loving wife. After describing the type of armor you desire (Cloth, Leather, Light Metal, or Heavy Metal) Griswold works with you to determine the right type of material, before sending you on your way to collect the needed materials. Upon returning with the correct materials in the proper quantities, Griswold and Hanna will create your very own set of Uncommon Armor. These materials can be found from fighting a dark elf in the Forest of Wavering Mists.

Silver found himself once again on the luscious third floor town of Delilah. He had climbed to the top of a building as he tended too in order to look over the happenings of others in the area. It was peaceful and few people were about. He assumed it had to do with his becoming conscious at 0500 and arriving there at what was now 0545 hours. Still he looked forward to the interesting things that may fall before him in the day that was before him. Silver looked to the horizon where the sun was beginning to poke over, his eyes glistening in the light. There was a slight breeze which made the temperature comfortable at what he assumed was roughly 293 Kelvin. It was pleasant to say the least.
Silver once again found himself calling back to the time he spent in China with his father. There was a point that he saw a strange building on the mountainside nearby. Curious, Silver climbed the mountain to figure out what it was that stood there. He had stumbled upon a small monetary where he spent the rest of his time learning the culture and ways of the monks that lived there.

The girl exited out of the portal of floor 3 and let out a deep breath. She had checked her list of quests, and this one had come up as an easy one to pull off. Worn out Welcome. Basically, recover some material, murder something, problem solved. All she had to do was find where this quest started, and she was sold. Issue was, where the hell was it?

She walked forwards, stretching out her arms as she checked herself out. She was wearing 'casual' clothes, well, casual for her. Plain white shirt, camo pants and combat boots. It was what she normally wore while hiking. She had another two outfits, but, well, there were two that weren't needed. One was some clothes she knew would drive boys crazy, the other being her heavy armour to protect her in combat. Despite being in her hiking gear, the Scythe of Dread was on her back. After all, even wearing this, anyone who messed with her should know they're dealing with Death.

Silver watched as a girl with red hair walked past, she specifically caught his eye for a few reasons. Firstly, she was wearing very modern clothing, which was strange in comparison to the clothing worn by most in this realm. Secondly, she was wearing thinks that made her seem to be of a militaristic combat background, combined with the determination behind each footstep she made seeming to be done so with strict purpose as if she had somewhere to be and be there quick. Thirdly, she wore a scythe on her back, it was interesting to see that she would be so conspicuously wearing such a large weapon. It gave the impression of her wanting others to steer clear of her. Though, to Silver such things were a challenge. He swiftly made his way as to follow her, running atop the building for concealment, his feet silent as the evening breeze as he ran. His clothing sounding like no more than the wind, it was the reason he was named Wind by his grandfather. He began to ponder if she would know of him, most who acted the way she seemed to would know him, whether you were a bounty hunter, politician, military official, or just a connoisseur of classified intelligence you would know his code name. Depending on who you were you may even know his picture and real name. Silver equips <<Mark 1 Zevulum Combat Armour>>
Silver went to the far edge of the building he was currently observing her from and sprinted back. Using his momentum, he jumped from the top of the building, doing a backflip as he did so and turning around. He was in the safezone still, so he was sure that he would be alright once he hit the ground. He landed in an expertly done pose, partially kneeling with his head less than a foot from the girl.
Silver stood and gave the girl a slight respectful bow. “Greetings, I am Silver ’Thorsten’ Zevulum, the assassin known as ‘The Wind’ It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

Embers had been looking at the map as she walked forwards, trying to see if she knew where this quest would start. If she recalled correctly, it said something about a blacksmith. So where was the blacksmith on this floor. Finding that would be step one, and honestly, the hardest. She looked around, and she noticed she was being trailed, albeit at the last moment before the stalker jumped down in front of her. Out of instinct, the girl made fists and dropped into a defensive stance. Unknown to her, it was the stance used by Special Forces within a military. To her, it was what her dad taught her.

"The hell is wrong with you? I nearly punched your damn lights out you idiot, jumping out like that. Part of me still wants to kick your ass just to prove a point" She snapped, her emotions getting the better of her as her hair finally settled on her back and shoulders. "What do you want anyway huh? Cause if it's nothing important, i've got places to be..."

Silver smiled as he observed the defensive stance. He chuckled at her words. “Perhaps you misheard me. I am an assassin, it is customary for us to jump out from hidden locations at those we have a mark on of any kind. My mark on you is not to kill you though, I am curious as to where you learned that stance and why you choose such a style of cloth? It gives me the impression of you being in the Special Forces, though it is somewhat unrefined. Calls me back to the characteristic stances of mercenaries. Though, you cannot be ether a mercenary or a member of special forces, or you would have killed me the moment I told you my name…. That or you would have ran.” He paused and thought for a moment, pulling the collar of his armour to his mouth, the large purple Z now fully covering his mouth. “You seem to have a task to complete. I wish to assist you in completing whatever you are attempting to do. In exchange for my assistance, I wish to inquire about your history and how you learned such moves.” Silver’s eyes show determination and a hint of bloodlust, though his smirk cannot be seen through the fabric.

An assassin? The hell did an assassin want for her? Was he stupid enough to get into a fight with her? The girl glared at Thorsten, after all, after his declaring to him being an assassin, she was a little more cautious, like a snake. You can tell if it if lethal, but the real question was would it attack? In nature, if you avoided it and made loud noises, the snake would avoid you. Was Thorsten a snake, or a spider? Planning an attack regardless?

"So what kind of assassin are you anyway eh? Just tellin' a stranger that..." She couldn't tell if he was being serious or not, his flip said one thing. But, what idiot declared that to another? Although, he was offering to help...Well, there were two options. Either a: He helped and b: he died. The girl didn't care either way. "You know what, screw it. But, assassin, you try anything, and i carve you up like a turkey"

Other than this guy being an idiot of an assassin, the way he talked was so damn long. She wasn't a fan, just use simple damn words and get the point across.

OSilver chuckled “There is much more to assassination than just taking a life. In fact, an assassin can go months with a target that does not involve killing them. There is great reason for me to inform you as to who I am, though I fear that the reason is a family secrete. And, on the topic of my, as you so eloquently put it, ‘trying anything’ while I am an assassin, I am a man of my word. I will not attempt to harm you in any way for the time being. I would extend the date however I have no idea what the future holds and I will not make a promise I am not sure I can keep.” He looked around, attempting to figure out what it was she had intended to do. “Inform me, if you will, what is the mission you currently find yourself on? I must admit you seem lost, perhaps I can assist in directing us to the first checkpoint. It surely won’t be a vast hassle, you seem quite capable in your means.” Silver pauses, “on mention of that, where did you happen to learn such a stance? It is professional when used correctly. I can, in fact, only name a few people that use such a stance.”

Ember tried to always be honest, if to no one else, but herself. While his talking was, boring, the thing that finally caught her eyes was, well, his own eyes. They were different colours, and Embers couldn't help but be curious. Was this a fashion trend, was he born like this? Or, did he lose an eye. She tried to keep attention on him, but it tapered off near the end. The stance was nothing special, just one of the many tricks her dad taught her while growing up. Why the hell did this 'Thorsten' person care? "What mission? I'm here to do that quest nearby, Worn out or whatever its name is. I need to find a blacksmith, just got no idea where i'm headed"

If there was something, he seemed to have respect. He was making a promise, no offering anything more than he could. Just like dad used to. Maybe he was worth some effort? A big emphasis on the maybe part. Dropping her stance, her body shifted. She was still ready to defend herself, but it was much more casual of a stance, well versed and adaptable. "My fightin'? My dad taught it to me during our hikes, it's nothing special. He said it would make idiots thinks i couldn't defend myself, and make it perfect to cripple anyone reaching in. Didn't say what style it was..."

Silver nodded, his mouth still covered by the bullet proof cloth. He started walking in the direction of the blacksmith. He walked with a relaxed but delineate fashion as if he were special forces. He gave the impression of being able to snap your neck at any point in time. It tended to have both a feeling of relaxation and alertness to those who observed it. Those who knew the walk would have an easy time identifying it. It was the walk of an assassin, bounty hunter and special forces sniper, calm yet alert. “I believe the blacksmiths forge is nearby and in this direction.” He said as he began walking. “Interesting, it would make sense for him to teach you whilst you were hiking. The solitude allows for a vast amount of talk without worry of being eavesdropped upon or snuck up on. What did your father do for a living? It’s possible that I may know him. It is true that your style can do such things as make a person second guess your abilities. It is how you win a battle at a disadvantage.” Silver was unsurprised by the gift of combat that the father had given her. It was common in such families to pass down knowledge. If the man was indeed someone who shared in the job field of the Zevulums, he would more than likely pass the knowledge down as to protect someone who could be a potential target.

Embers frowned as she started walking towards where the blacksmith was. What did the hikes have to do with it? WAs everything so, sneaky, with this guy? They had been hiking because it was their thing, not because he was teaching her something that no one else was allowed to know. It was simply that he wanted to teach her, and they were a hiking pair. She tossed her hair over her shoulder and laughed "Do you always read into stuff like this? He taught me because he wanted me to be able to look after myself" She said casually, because there was no need to think about it anymore then that. Males could never keep their hands to themselves, so she was taught how to use her hands against them.

"My old man? He was, well, some sorta merc? He didn't speak bout work much, but i'm pretty sure he was part of a mercenary company that goes around on raiding missions. Spec Ops deal, that sorta crap"

Silver was not surprised by his comrade’s ignorance to the methods of intuition. “There is not a conversation, decision, or action that does not have some sort of undertone that can be interpreted. As you said ‘Reading into’ is a vital part of my occupation. Should I leave something un-analyzed, I will find a flaw in my armour and my blade with not be sharp enough to make a killing blow.” They had arrived at the blacksmiths shop. Silver opened the door and motioned for the woman to enter. He did not speak whilst they were in the shop, choosing to keep his thoughts to himself whilst he had the ability. He thought though the list of mercenaries and bounty hunters that were kept in the archives. The profiles on those inside. He wondered who of those her father was. It was to take him a fair amount of time to locate the profile in his memories. Though, he would find it. His gift of photographic memory assured him of this. However, he did not have enough information on the subject to be able to pinpoint the identity just yet. Perhaps he would inquire more about this man at a later date. The questioning about one man could come off a bit queer and prove to push away who he saw now as his contact.

Embers would lie and say she fully understood this guy, but then, there were many people she didn't care to work out. He seemed to, stuck up, was the word that came to mind. As they arrived at the blacksmith shop, she glanced at Thorsten. Honestly, if he did know her old man, she'd love to know what he did. What sort of merc he was. "Adrian Williams i..was, his real name" She wasn't sure if he had a nickname, or a callsign. She wasn't sure that mattered to her, she just wanted to know what it was her father did. And assuming his boy was correct, well, it would be a start, as much as she did doubt it.

The girl walked up to the blacksmith "Heard ya got a quest or somthin' eh?" The NPC nodded, offering the girl armour as long as she went to get the material. While the armour was pointless, the experience coming from the quest were not. "Consider this done" She said, and walked over to her silent 'partner' "Com' on, we've struck ourselves an deal"

If the name, Adrian Williams, would bring any memories of an individual within Silver, they wouldn't be the most pleasant. Williams, had been a brilliant merc part of a small company which specialised in high-risk operations, no questions asked. Williams was a jack-of-all-trades, and was known for his uncontrollable emotional outbursts. The talents merc would vanish from service, every few months for a month or so, before returning as if nothing had happened.

Silver pondered the name as he waited for the woman to return from the blacksmith shop. He analyzed the conversation they had been partaking in thus far. It was extraordinarily clear to him that he was annoying her. Perhaps he should back up in his conversational approaches. It wasn’t always profitable to be forward with others. He thought he should respond to the information given to him and say no more unless asked to do so. “Adrian Williams, yes I have known of such a man through my experiences. He was... interesting.” Silver gave her a soft smile and allowed her to lead the way, trailing behind her slightly. He continued to walk with the same style as before. It was hard for him to keep such things to himself. Though, he remembered how much others hated it when he did so. There was a man who despised his mouth, they worked together on occasion. Perhaps Silver could use this time to understand why it was these people disliked the way he spoke.

Embers' heart jumped within her chest, and her face betrayed it. He...knew her father!? If this really was true, if he did know Adrian. She tried to keep herself silent. There was 0 proof he knew Adrain. Anyone could just lie, maybe it all pushed this idiots mind into breaking. But maybe not. She'd need, well, information on this Thorsten character. Who he really was. Before trusting him to any capacity. But a battle for another day. For now, she had to go find a Dark Elf. And murder it for its posessions.

"Assuming you actually knew him, or of him. What was he like?" The girl glanced over her should with firey eyes "Badass who gunned everything down while smoking with a chick in his arms?" Saying those very words made a vile taste in her mouth. But it was merely a test. If he said yes, Embers knew he would be a liar. She knew Adrian and he was nothing like that. To even suggest it made her sick, to defile the memory of the person who raised her to be herself. She would applogise to him, later however.

Silver thought for a moment, swiftly taking out his journal and flipping to a page filled with dots and dashes, and a square of 1’s and 0’s in the corner. He took a quick look at the page before swiftly closing the journal and putting it away. “No, I never met him on the job. Which is good because if I had met him in such a time he would have more than likely been my target and died by my hand. I have, however, only really met him in passing, and from the files the bloodline stores on other blades for hire. I was never really one to be brought into a group of acquaintances, I am sure you can see why. Mr. Williams tended to be talking to someone when I would walk into a location where he was. Not that I had a reason to talk with him anyways.” Silver paused, “That is not to say I don’t have extensive notes on the man, then again I am not sure that is what you are looking for.”

Listening to him, it sounded like maybe, he did know her father? But, then again, what are the chances of that actually happening eh? So she would listen, but not take it all at face value. She had snuck a glance at the 'notes', journal, thing. But it didn't make any sense, it wasn't an language. It was a bunch of numbers! How the hell was she meant to snoop if his notes were just that?

"Listen, wind-boy. If you are serious, then know a simple fact. If you had to try and kill him, we wouldn't be having this conversation. He'd of killed you the second you took aim" There was an anger in her voice, a deep burning passion. Her father would never have lost a fight, just like she hadnt'. It was in their blood, The Williams Blood-line was fueled by fire and violence, it was all they knew. To hear some kid think he could take her father, urgh. She'd beat him up if this stupid game allowed it.
