Nuzzled in the Town of Beginnings on the first floor of Aincrad lies a silent alchemist. "Azure Apothecary", the sandwich board lies beside the doorway. Upon entering, the apothecary looks simple, but the warmth feeling of the fireplace inside, almost makes the player seem like they are wrapped around a blanket. The snow-white haired alchemist behind the counter, though quiet and unapproachable, is always hard at work mixing his concoctions and experimenting on new crafts.

Now that Simba had finally set up his own apothecary, he was became eager to see what he could do with his new found alchemy. All he had learned so far was to hunt for the material and gather them into a vial.

He swiped down for his menu, by using his index and middle finger. He allowed his entire materials to be plopped down in front of him, so he began to slowly stock them in his shelf and displayed a few of the materials for other people to view. He took a vial and placed it in front of him and planned to create his first Salve. He took «Red Herbs» and placed them in front of him. He began to add a pit of «Distilled Water» and began to stir his vial, adding the «Red Herb» after. A sudden ping is heard and his vial bursts into a thousand polygons. He created his very first Salve!

He attempted to go once again, adding the «Distilled Water» and swirled his vial around, he took the «Red Herb» once again, and dropped it into the vial. A 'dun-dun' is heard and his vial exploded. There was nothing left, but a «Red Herb» that appeared on his hand.

After a long day, Simba let out a yawn and stretched his arms out. He spent the night sleeping in the back room and had a tight knot is his back. It was a bad idea falling asleep in the store, but he had nowhere else to sleep. He stretched himself out, eager to get to work for the day. He hoped to get better results on his products. Warming up, he took a few ingredients from the back and took them out to the front and laid them down in front of him. He attempted to craft his first Salve of the day, but before he could mix the ingredients, it exploded, leaving nothing behind.

The smoke had cleared it up quickly, and Simba found himself leaning against the counter in disbelief. He took a deep breath and sighed, before he attempted to create the same Salve he had made yesterday. He took out a vial and poured «Distilled Water» into the vial and began to stir. He soon took a «Red Herb» and dropped it into the vial, suddenly it began to glow green and a smile grew on his face. The vial bursts into polygons, leaving a Salve behind for him. He identified the product and nodded his head. It was going to be a short day at the apothecary, but he was ready to go again.

As the next sun rose, Simba slowly woke up on his counter, groaning as he stretched his arms out. It began to feel like a chore, every time he would wake up, he had to do his daily crafting. If he had to stop for a while, he might lose his edge and that was something he did not want to happen. He took a deep breath and sighed, as he turned toward his shelf and lifted a new ingredient out and nodded. Simba lifted «Kobold's Tears» from a vial off the shelf and placed it next to his cauldron. He lifted from under the counter, a giant bottle of «Distilled Water» and poured it into the cauldron. He began to stir until a fire below started underneath the cauldron and took the small vial of the «Kobold's Tears» and began to drip it over the cauldron. Fumes began to rise and slowly a fire exploded in front of him and Simba began coughing, as he wiped away the smoke from his face. The «Distilled Water» had disappeared, but left behind a vial of «Kobold's Tears».

It came down him trying again, but this time, he wanted to do something new. Simba took a vial out and poured «Distilled Water» into the vial, stirring slowly. He took out «Frenzy Petal» and crushed it, letting it fall into the narrow hole of the vial. The vial began to glow and change colors, but it was not going to explode. He could feel it, he was able to craft this item perfectly. A sudden smoke filled the air, there lied his Salve.

It was new day and another day for him to begin to attempt at crafting three new Salves. He took a few vials out at the same time and poured «Distilled Water» in all three of the vials. He placed «Red Herb» into the first two vials and began to stir them, but one of them immediately blew up on his left hand and he quickly dropped the material left behind. He took a deep breath and sighed, before lifting the «Red Herb» off the ground and placed it on the shelf above him. Simba turned back to his other vial and began to stir. The material began to blend in with the water and soon, a Salve appeared onto the palm of his hand and he smiled. He set it up for displayed and went over to his next vial, but this time, he wanted to do something different.

Simba added «Granite Salt» into the vial first and poured in «Murky Water» into the vial and began to stir. It was not something he had done before, but would a Grand master Alchemist complain about not doing anything before. He glanced at the vial, watching the salt slowly disappear into the water and the color began to shift. He smiled, as the vial disappear, leaving a obsidian looking Salve.

Another day, another craft. Simba stood outside of his workshop and admired the scenery from the outside. A smile emerged from his face, as his sapphire eyes flew toward the items he had set on display. He reached for the doorknob, turning to the right and walking into the workshop. The smell of cinnamon hits Simba almost instantly and smiled, as he took a deep breath and sighed, before he made his way toward the back of the counter. He squat behind the counter and laid down four material on the table. He slowly pulled out his giant cauldron and sighed, as he wiped his forehead. 'T--This is heavier than I thought.. I need to keep this in an open space, so I don't have to move it around so much.' He sighed, before pouring a giant bottle of «Distilled Water» into the cauldron.

Simba tossed a few ingredients into the cauldron, as he heard that the cauldron allowed players to craft many items at the same time. He was tired of pouring «Distilled Water» into vials after he began to create more and more concoctions. A giant puff of smoked emerged from the cauldron and three items were left inside. He lifted them up and nodded his head.

After a day of adventuring, Simba decided to sit down to craft more concoctions for the players of Aincrad. He walked toward his workshop and smiling at the store he has built up. Although he was not a well known Alchemist, he still wanted to move up and do his best to advance with the players of the front-line. For now, he must focus on gathering all his strength into crafting powerful potions for himself, so he would be able to fly pass levels and catch up with the higher level players. Simba still at level six, he still has much to learn and is still trying to learn how the sword skills worked. He walked into his workshop, gathering the materials onto the counter and sighed. It was time for him to prepare the cauldron once again.

He heated the fire below the cauldron and poured a giant gallon of «Distilled Water» into the cauldron and waited for the water to boil. As soon as it began to boil, he tossed in four materials into the batter and began to stir with a wooden stick. It began to fizzle and he could tell that something was off. The smoke began to appear black and puffed into his face. He let out a cough and only a potion and one material appeared inside.

Today felt like a perfect day of Simba to craft his daily concoctions. He took out a note pad and began writing down different types of potions he wanted to make for himself and maybe for other players who stop by at his shop. He rose through the ranks pretty quick and was able to reach the third rank of the alchemist class, but it was not enough for him and he wanted to level up more and more. Although he is stuck with tier one materials, it was the best he could work with until he is able to advance toward the second floor. Simba thought about moving his shop, every floor he moved up, but it would restrict players of lower levels from heading into his shop as well, so he thought long and hard, as he made his way toward his workshop.

Simba gripped his hand around the handle of the door knob, walking into his workshop. He began his daily set up, gathering all the materials and placed them on the counter. He turned the fire up, but this time, he felt like he was able to pull off a perfect crafting day. He tossed in four materials into the cauldron, adding a mixture of «Distilled Water» and «Murky Water». The cauldron began to shift in colors and he grew a smile on his face, when a puff of smoke rose into the air, covering his vision, before displaying four vials inside.

Yesterday was an amazing crafting day and Simba felt good about it. He was able to successfully craft four items without having a single one fail on him. Today felt like a different day, but he was still feeling like he could craft a few more before losing his motivation to craft more. The streets of the Town of Beginnings began to be filled for the holidays. 'I guess there are a lot of players returning back to the first floor for the holidays.. I am going to spend the entire month to just craft away my misery.' He slowly made his way toward his workshop, opening in, as the warmth hits him like a blanket on a cold winter night.

Simba began to clean up the workshop a little, as it was beginning to collect dust over the nights he has been here. As soon as he finished up, he pulled his cauldron outside and sighed, as he sat down on the floor beside it. It was always heavy, but it seemed like there was no growth in his physical strength when he did this constantly. He began to craft his concoctions once again, but failed the first three times. A little discouraged, he still pushed on to the last one, succeeding at the very end.

Simba felt a little discouraged about yesterday's craft, but it was not going to stop him from crafting. He checked his stats, as he made his way toward his workshop. He is close to reaching the fourth rank of the alchemist table. He swiped away his menu and proceeded to follow the cobblestone path up toward his shop. Just like yesterday, the streets were infested with players who seem to be in a jolly mood, he could not help but smile as everyone is running around with their costume on. He turned his back toward the street and opened the door to his workshop. The fireplace lit itself up and the smell of cinnamon filled the room and he took a deep breath in and sighed.

Simba lifted the cauldron and placed it over the fire near his crafting station. He wiped away the sweat and sighed. 'The fact that I can't gain anymore physical strength from lifting this heavy cauldron everyday is pretty frustrating..' He sighed, before beginning his crafts of the day. A large black smoke began to fill the room and he coughed out, as nothing came to be. As the workshop cleared up, the only thing left is one potion and it was just another bad day for Simba.

Another day, another craft, but it was still a month filled with the holidays and Simba remembered that he had people to spend the holidays with. He took a deep breath and sighed, before walking to his workshop, setting up everything. Made sure there was nothing that was unsightly for anyone to judge him, so he began to clean up a little before he started his craft of the day. His eyes glance over at the fire place, as the warmth from the fireplace reminded him of when he spent the holidays with his friends from college, but it now seemed like he is going to spend it alone.

He shook his head and walked over toward his cauldron and took out five materials ready for crafting. 'I am now in the fourth rank of the Alchemist, but who is the top alchemist at the moment. I recently heard of a new alchemist who opened his workshop all the way at the seventeenth floor, but not a lot of the lower level players would be able to travel that far..' He wondered if that Alchemist was able to get any customer, but began to mix his mixtures and was able to craft three new concoctions for his display.

The early morning of December, Simba woke up from the back of his workshop and stood up to stretch himself out. Sleeping the night in his workshop is free, so he would not have to spend any Col in sleeping the inn that is nearby. His back had a knot in it and he cracked his back and let out a sigh of relief. He cleared his throat and walked toward his material, picking out a few of the older materials that were laying around. He walked over to his counter, laying them all out. Simba glanced up at the windows and could see players walking away from his workshop. He made his way to his door, slowly opening it, letting the cold winter breeze hit him. He shook a little, but the warmth of his workshop, kept him from freezing.

With a snap of his fingers, the fire lit up under the cauldron and a smile grew on his face. 'I feel like a magician, being able to do that with the help of the game system.' He gathered the materials and tossed them into the cauldron, forgetting to add the water and attempted to pick the material out of the cauldron before they burned. It was already too late, two materials was gone. He quickly dumped the water into the cauldron, watching the smoke slowly fill the room. In an instant, two vials appeared on the bottom and he lifted them up.

Simba felt a little unmotivated for today's crafts and walked the long way toward his workshop, there was no sign of any customers for his crafts. He watched as players decorated their housing with pixie lights and he smiled, as there were smile on players' face. It took a while before anyone could bare a smile, but it happened and no one could force them to lose hope. There will be a time where Simba will be able to return home without having to worry about dying in some virtual game. He finally made his way toward his workshop, unlocking the door. The cold breeze had hit him hard, but he enjoyed the weather, because it gave him a reason to stay indoor with the warmth.

He snapped his fingers, lighting the fire under the cauldron. It made him all giddy every time it happened, but cleared his throat, hoping no one saw him do it. He walked over and tossed a few materials into the cauldron and tried to grab the water. A sudden burnt smell hit him and he tossed the entire gallon of water into the cauldron, forgetting again that his materials burnt away in the cauldron. He sighed and realized there was still a vial inside.

For thirteen days, Simba has been hard at work, crafting away, reaching the fifth rank of the alchemist. Simba is now dubbed a professional Alchemist, but his goal is to become a Grand Master. He still had a long way before he could reach the next rank. He checked his stats, as he made his way toward his workshop, reading up on what he could do as a rank five alchemist. He stopped for a moment, realizing he could now create crystals. They are pricey to make, but it will benefit a lot of players, as they need healing crystals. 'With no other active alchemist available, I should be able to sell these the moment I could make them. I should not make them pricey, because no one would buy them as well.. I still have not found a single customer.. Maybe alchemy is not popular among this community.. I should have became a blacksmith.. People like weapons, right? Or a merchant.. They could identify amazing items..' Lost in his thoughts, he almost bumped into his door.

He cleared his throat, checking both side of the street before entering his workshop. He quickly snapped his finger, causing the cauldron to boil. He made sure to dump a gallon of water into the cauldron before tossing the materials into it. A few sizzling sound came out of the cauldron, but he was able to craft three items. He sighed, but it was good. He lifted the two vials and the one potion out of the cauldron and displayed them. He walked into the back to rest up.

Kaya pushes through the front doors of the alchemist's shop. She's only been to one other one and this place doesn't compare. Perhaps cause the last one was in an old abandoned looking shop filled with potions cluttering the place. This place, was of a budding Alchemist, also his place is cleaner. "H-hello!" Kaya spoke as she tried getting someone's attention. She had wanted to get a specific quest and other potions if they were available.

It didn't take long, for a boy of 5 feet something, with snowy white hair come from the back of the shop. He almost looked like the last alchemist she saw, almost. Only difference was this was seemed to be more of a badass with the whole puppy ear - not that she's complaining, it's cute. "H-hi." Kaya spoke nervously as she began to tell the alchemist what she wanted. "I'm looking for Tier 1 Perfect Damage and Mitigation Potions. I can pay in Col. Also if you have any Crafter's Respites, I'd gladly take them off your hands." Kaya gave the stranger a smile. She wanted it to be genuine, but something about him threw her off and just couldn't be entirely genuine with her smile with him.

Simba was busy attending to his materials that he was organizing in the back until he heard something from the front of the workshop. He peeked out of the doorway and his eyes glimmered. The amber haired girl pulled up toward his counter and he walked over toward her. 'She is tiny, but she is still my very first customer.. I must treat her with utmost res-- Kidding.. We're all stuck here together.. No need for formality.' He approaches her and glanced down at the girl. She seemed to have an idea of what she wanted and Simba nodded.

"I will be able to craft your Tier One Perfect Damage and Mitigation potion, but they will not be ready yet. As for a Crafter's Respite. I have one as of now. If you could wait, I will try and get your other two potions ready as soon as possible." Simba took out «Simba's Respite» out from the display, placing the elixir down in front of the amber haired player. He also materialized a sheet of paper, writing down her order, pinning against the wall behind him. As he turned around, his eyes met with her and he returned a smile back. "You can pay for the Crafter's Respite right now or pay with the rest of your order when it is ready. I will send you a message once I craft the potions you want." He offered, pushing a sheet of paper with his name written on it.

His very first customer had just ordered something from his workshop, Simba was happy. He had slept in his workshop again, because of how excited he was to craft the concoctions she had requested. Simba quickly made his way toward his workshop, unlocking it in a orderly fashion. It is still early in December and players were still festive as ever. There were players running around the town with their festive vanity equipment and they all seemed to be enjoying the company of their companions. Simba swiped down on his friend menu and still saw Hestia online, but he never really had a conversation with her.

Snapping his finger, the cauldron's fire lit up and he dumped a ton of water into it. He watched as the water began to boil and bubbles were popping left and right. He dropped a few materials into the cauldron and watched them slowly vanish from sight, as the room is filled with smoke. After the smoke slowly faded away, Simba found two of his crafts on the bottom and he lifted it up, seeing that he finished another item for his customer.

Simba still had a rough time around the Town of Beginning, but for some reason, he recently had some sort of déjà vu, but was not sure what it was about. He swiped down for his friend's list to see if there was someone on it, but there was only the name Hestia. 'A name seem to be lingering in the back of my head, but I can't seem to get it out of my head.. Maybe it was some dream I had? Something about doing that stupid beginner's quest that I started.. I guess it could possibly be a dream..' He let out a sigh, before unlocking the door to his workshop and making his way in.

It was almost like a instinct that Simba would snap his fingers, lighting the fire under the cauldron. He dumped another gallon of water into the cauldron, waiting for it to boil. His eyes shut closed for a second, before he tossed a few materials into the cauldron. He began to think about the next tier of concoction that he will be able to craft, but still had to focus on his current crafts. Four vials appeared in the cauldron and he picked it up, but none were the one he was expecting to make for his first customer.

Another day, another craft for Simba on a tiring night at his workshop. He wanted to get his daily crafting in, but he also wanted to finish the request for his first customer. Today is the third day and he is hoping that he could get the last item that is needed to complete his contract, but he had a feeling that today was not going to work out. The town was crowded for a Saturday morning, especially since he is always up early in the morning to get to his crafting. He reached for his door knob, entering his workshop.

The fireplace would light itself up and the smell of cinnamon would fill the workshop. He took off his white coat, setting it on the coat rack by the door. He took a deep breath, taking in the smell of cinnamon in, before sighing. He snapped his fingers, lighting the cauldron up. Poured a gallon of water into the mixture, before quickly mixing his materials into the cauldron. Unfortunately, he failed five out of the six crafts and was only able to complete one item for today.

Today is a new day for Simba and he had more of a positive vibe to him today, there were players still swarming around the Town of Beginnings, but it was not as bad as the other day. There were still a few things he needed to get done and today, he felt like he was going to knock out the request out of the way. 'If I can finish the request for that customer of mine, I should be able to quickly get going and head back into my questing.. I am still far behind.. I also got a message from someone to duel.. It is exciting, yet nerve wracking..' He took a deep breath and entered his workshop.

He quickly snapped his fingers, lighting the cauldron up. This time, he waited a few minutes, allowing the steel to burn up before tossing a gallon of water into it. A sizzling sound releases, as soon as the water hit the bottom of the cauldron. He flinched a little, but allowed the smoke to simmer down before tossing a few materials into the cauldron. After the end, he came out with four concoctions and this time, he completed the request for his customer.
