Name: Morgan Kay

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Height: 5'1"

SP Remaining/Gained: 5/5

Appearance: Morgan is, overall, fairly attractive. Her skin is a peachy, tan kind of colour, with a few smatterings of freckles over her body, which is noticeably curvy despite her height. She has a cute, heart-shaped face with large, deep blue eyes lined with long eyelashes, a small button nose, plump, pouty lips that seem to always be curled into a small smirk, and carefully-trimmed eyebrows. Her face is framed by wavy, mussed black hair that seems to curl inwards slightly at the bottom, and a messy fringe. All of this comes together to create a very tomboyish yet overtly feminine, and attractive, look. One which Morgan most certainly takes a great deal of pride, and a small amount of smugness, from.

History: For the most part, Morgan had a fairly normal life. She was the sort with that kind of uncanny charisma that kids just crowded around in search of a clique or group, and she loved being the centre of attention. Despite that, though, she wasn't self-centred for the most part, although she did have a great deal of care for her appearance. Once she discovered the concept of bullying, she took it upon herself to kick any 'bullies' up and down the playground, and she took great satisfaction from doing so, partially because she found fighting fun, and partially because protecting people was something that made her feel good.

Morgan's friend group, which only grew tighter over time, had a healthy habit of sharing their interests among themselves. Performing, creating, gaming...all of them found themselves sharing plenty of interests. Morgan, herself, found great joy in the digital world, and in dancing, and of course martial arts, with a smaller side-hobby of gem-cutting and jewelry-making developing once she got old enough to get a job, and thus afford the equipment to do so. When it came to jobs, however, Morgan found herself constantly flitting between one and another, her charisma and overwhelming personality getting her in the door, but her decreasing lack of interest in the oft-monotonous position making her move on. She did, however, manage to find some consistency in MMOs, more specifically playing them with her friends.

So of course, when SAO was announced, they pounced on the opportunity to get into this cutting-edge game with eachother. Fortunately, Morgan's own networking managed to get them all places in the game, and they dove in. She immediately rushed to get an unarmed weapon, having always played Monks in previous games of that type, and only realised after that you needed to complete a quest to find unarmed. So, the group set out to the second floor to find the NPC who would start that quest.

Unfortunately, all but Morgan ended up dying in that first outing, before even realising that you couldn't log out, from messing about instead of taking things seriously, and she fled since she couldn't fight with her presently-useless weapon. Morgan returned to the Town of Beginnings and waited for them to respawn, and after they had not, attempted to log out to see if maybe they had done the same. Of course, she couldn't, and the announcement happened just shortly after.

Instead of falling to despair over it, however, Morgan resolved to get back at the creator for doing this, and to prevent others falling to the same fate as her friends had done.

Personality: Morgan is a generally caring, if overbearing, person. At first glance she appears to be a typical tomboy, abrasive and direct without any finesse. Looking deeper, though, there is an intense care for others, and a desire to live life to the fullest. Outwardly she is confident, direct, and a typical leader, who leaves no man behind and is at the back of everyone following her. Internally, the death of her friends has made her question her ability to protect others, and made her feel inadequate to do any form of leading. She desperately wants for a new friend-group to replace her old one, for a multitude of reasons. So that she can have friends again, so that she can have others to protect again and prove to herself that she *can*, and most of all because she simply feels empty while alone.

Of course, Morgan has interests besides 'friends', too. She greatly enjoys dancing, fighting, and jewelry-making, though she has yet to find a way to do the latter in SAO. She's incredibly protective of others, whether she knows them or not, and a PKer is a surefire way to flip her switch. Morgan also has an uncanny charisma which, alongside her attractive appearance, she knows how to make use of to get what she wants from people.

Virtues:

  • Compassionate: Morgan is incredibly compassionate, caring greatly for those around her whether she knows them or not. She's eager to jump into action for just about anybody, be it completing a simple chore or taking part in a floor boss raid team. She'd go to the ends of the earth for those she truly holds close, with no questions asked.
  • Leader: Morgan holds an almost unnatural charisma. People practically flock to her, whether because of her actions, appearance, or personality, and she knows how to lead them to victory in whatever endeavour they pursue, so long as they listen. Her charisma also tends to make close friends of those she meets in short order.
  • Willful: Morgan never backs down unless the cause is truly lost. She presses ever onward despite whatever may get in her way, and she doesn't let it bring her down, at least outwardly. This willful nature is also part of why she's such a good leader. She's like a stone for the people who follow her.

Flaws:

  • Overprotective: Morgan's protectiveness for those she cares about can sometimes go too far, especially after the death of her former friend group. She's loath to let them put themselves into any form of danger. Any tank friends would find themselves hard-pressed to do their job.
  • Unconfident: While she has a talent for leading, the death of Morgan's friends has chipped away at her belief in that talent, and in herself in general. She's prone to wondering whether she can actually do what she's set herself out to do. After all, she can't protect everyone, and the chances of actually getting back at the creator of SAO are infinitely small.
  • Emotional: Morgan is not good at hiding her emotions. While she considers this a good thing, believing it makes her honest, it means that anything that would make her angry will make her angry, and she's a terrible liar. She simply can't hide how she feels in the moment, at least not immediately.
