[BR-F22] Paving the Way to Floor 23 (Floor 22 Boss Battle - Bialas)

Ruby had just felt a little numb, it was always with these boss raids where she had just remained thoughtless... she didn't really have much of thoughts at all and she didn't really respond to anyone's words towards Ruby... if they had said anything at all in the first place toward her. However she had continued to act even with a blank mind, Ruby had looked from side to side seeing HP values and what energy people had, and she had seen that everyone had a fair amount of energy however Ruby and Tel was running a but low. Ruby didn't think twice, she didn't blink twice she had activated her hands and touched Calrex on his back and chained a glow together from him to Macradon to Jomei to Telrenya and back to Ruby. Ruby had took a deep breathe and said out to @Calrex "I see you are quite the tank, may I ask why you are such a iron wall?" she had giggled.

Using Field Medic, rip energy.

Uses both the BD (target 1) and MD (target 2) and gains +1 ACC for this attack. On a hit, deals 275 DMG (135 minimum) to the main target and 175 DMG (85 minimum) to the secondary target.

Bialas sends a massive surge of energy through the ground towards the target party. Rolls a MD against each player, dealing 150 DMG (75 minimum) on a hit. If a player is wearing heavy armor, they instead take 200 DMG (100 minimum). Applies <<Static Charge>> on a LD result of 11-20, regardless of the result of the attack (no effect on players who already have the debuff).

Ability 3: Defiled Blood

  • For the duration of any Bleed effects on Bialas.

At the beginning of Bialas’ turn, heals 225 HP.

Ability 4: Nova Bolt

Bialas takes one turn to use his horn as a lightning rod, charging it with electrical energy. On the second turn, a devastating bolt of stored lightning is shot towards the player with the highest hate in the target group. Deals 300 DMG (150 minimum) and applies <<Static Charge>> on a hit. On a miss, this attack still deals 200 DMG (100 minimum).

Ability 5: Arc Lightning
[Uses every turn] [Free Action]
Applies the following debuff to two random players in the next target group:
<<Static Charge>>: At the beginning of your turn, roll a die with the Roll Purpose “Static Charge”. The following happens based on the CD result:

  • 1-5: The effect spreads! You end up touching or getting close enough to another party member for them to gain the <<Static Charge>> debuff. The effect then deals 100 unmitigatable DMG, or 75 unmitigatable DMG if you have Survival active. The newly-affected player is determined by you, but must be someone who is not already affected by <<Static Charge>>.
  • 6-10: The effect deals 100 unmitigatable DMG, or 75 unmitigatable DMG if you have Survival active.
  • 11-12: The effect immediately ends, and no damage is taken.

If all players in a single party gain the <<Static Charge>> debuff, they each immediately take 100 unmitigatable DMG, or 75 unmitigatable DMG if they have Survival active, and the effect ends on all players.

As the last tick of the cloaked girl's bleeding effect drained away at Bialas' health bar, the indicator fought back to regain a larger portion of its green than what was taken away. Coagulated blood stained Bialas' previously snow-white fur with swirled hues of silver and murky green, and as the detrimental effect faded away so did the festering wounds that the unicorn bore. After the creature's tainted blood had worked to counteract the players' efforts, it seemed as though their progress was slowing to a crawl, at least for the moment.

Bialas' heavy hooves dragged through the earth once again, displacing the dirt and grass around them as a defiant snort heaved through his nostrils. An electrified mane whipped back and forth with a strong shake of the stallion's head, as if to shake off the almost inconsequential attacks that had been dealt to him. The pronounced muscles of his chest pushed forward before blood-orange eyes locked onto the blunette tank once again. The Warden reared up, throwing out a couple of forceful kicks into the air before breaking into a speedy gallop into the group of players, catching both the Ultramarine Knight and the Emerald Duelist in his path.

With the next strike of lightning, Shield finally took his first solid bit of damage for the fight. Although his recovery was already working to reverse its effects, he knew that it could only do so much before the next attack hit, and at that point, he would be on the wrong side of that slant.

"Lilith! Look lively!" he called out, his eyes remaining transfixed on the now bloodied unicorn. In response to his call, a small, colorful reptile poked its head up out of his collar and gaped its mouth wide. Her hypodermic fangs sank into Shield's neck, and she injected the healing potion that her fangs naturally secreted. Shield's health ticked back up to nearly full once again. "I'm fine so car, Zandra," he called out over the peals of overhead thunder. "Still, that storm is gonna keep hitting, and we need to stay on top of damage before it gets out of hand. It's only gonna get worse once we hit that last health bar. Beat and Hakai both need heals while we still have the time!" With a flourish, Shield brandished his sword, gathering energy at its tip. As it charged, he glanced down the list and saw Teion's pool was down a few points.

She may not be missing the most, but she certainly has the fewest points left. 

With a swish, he hurled the ball of pale light at Teion. The light hit and dispersed along her shape, ticking her energy bar back up towards the top of her gauge.

Keeping both her and Beat energized this fight will be a struggle, but I should be able to manage.

Hakai rushed at the boss again, once more missing and regretting not investing in accuracy. She had missed every single time she had tried and she was starting to wonder if she had really gotten this rusty in her time away from the frontlines or if she was just unlucky. This kind of fight was the sort of fight where it really mattered to land hits. Her health bar was at half, and the sooner they killed the boss the sooner she and others would be safe. There was a very real possibility that she could die here if she kept missing. Honestly this streak of missing was starting to get on her nerves. It would almost have been better if she hadn't attended at this point. All she was doing was taking up a spot in a party and doing nothing but needing to be healed. She was just a waste of resources at this point and it bugged her to no end. She would definitely hit the boss this next time, if she made it to then. As she retreated back from the boss she accidentally brushed Shield, the status effect that had been applied to her jumping to him as well. This was just stupid.

Beat attempted shield himself form yet another lightning strike, feeling the increased intensity and heat from the blast as he was knocked off of his feet and fell hard on his back. He winced as he slowly rose to his feet, glaring up at the storm the boss had been using to great effect. It had grown in intensity and, based on the larger chunk missing from his health bar, was now more damaging than before. As he stood up, he observed the negative progress they were now making due to the anti-bleed effect the boss seemed to have. The myth on unicorn's blood having healing properties was clearly at play here and he knew that he would likely need to swap weapon after this strike to avoid giving the boss any further assistance. 

"No more bleed weapons! We can't afford to help him!" He shouted to everyone as he charged forward. He raised his spear and unleashed his sword art into the creature's side, his every strike pulled slightly off target to avoid a potential critical hit. The damage from a critical with his new weapon would be great, but against this boss, his other weapon was a far more suitable choice.

Zandra nodded to Shield as he let her know he was fine. Then he told her that Hakai and Beat needed heals while there was still time and that the storm would keep hitting hard. ‘’Oh really? I’m stading a few meters beside you but that was total news to me. And those healthbars is floating to infront of me but I have eyes closed. Good that you let me know.’’ She said sarcastically. Or what she wanted to say. She really started get tired off everyone telling her how to do her role. But instead she was quiet and closed her eyes for a second before they opened, now her crimson sight had chaned to sapphire and she raised her hand towards the sky. ‘’Dwayna, goddess of life, give us our blessing!’’ Thou she didn’t had to say the words, but she preferred to say something instead off just keep silent while the skill channeled. Everyones health went up to full again, except Beat and Hakai. Thou Beat seemed okay, thou it was Hakai Zandra was worried about and looked at the girl with worried eyes, that now was back to their ruby colour.

So it heals itself.  That was a new addition to the many resistances that these bosses have become to gain.  Although this creature seemed like it could withstand it, it could not handle paralysis.  Though, with a straight mind, the hunter would have figured out something to go along with that.  Trying to take Beat's calls to note would be losing another ounce of concentration.  Instead, the Jade Hunter dodged away from the incoming lighting storm that was sure to try and hit him, but in doing so, a weird status effect crept up on him.  Possibly the one that everyone else was yelling about.  

"Hmph.."

He grunted while passing by the violet haired axe wielder, Teion.  Seeing sparks shoot out from him to her, he may have given her the debuff, but there wasn't much time to dawdle.  Rushing past everyone, he found the weak point once more, and thrashed as hard as he could against its silver hide.

A faint, bluish light wrapped around her form after colliding with her right shoulder, and Teion blinked to attention at the effect. Her mind worked quickly to piece together Shield's energy-restoring ability with the shift in her own visual indicators, but she was still left puzzled as to why she had been given any attention. She had only gotten one good hit in since the fight started, and even then her damage output was paling in comparison to some of the other players present. 'Hell, Beat's probably doubling, even tripling my numbers...' She gave an internal guess.

The sight of sparks dancing around her avatar snapped the woman back to attention, as the green-haired swordsman passed her by and brought a bundle of electricity along with him. Her brows narrowed and she braced herself for whatever might happen as a result--damage, some sort of feedback, or some other negative effect. But nothing happened. A quick glance to her vitals showed her that the potion she had bothered to drink earlier seemed to have spared her from whatever might have been in store for her.

Knuckles practically turned white as her grip tightened around the obsidian handle of her weapon. She was spending too much time thinking, where she needed to be swinging that axe of hers. Without seeing a need to change up her pattern of approach, Teion rushed towards the horned creature once again. She hoisted the head of her axe up over her shoulder, and just before she worked to swing the blade downward at Bialas' flank, the pulsing orange veins that ran over the metal seemed to come alive. The sky-blue glow of her sword art intertwined with a bright orange energy radiating from the weapon as its bonus damage procced, and her strike proved much more effective this time around.

The dark clouds above the players rumbled ominously, before lighting up with a crack of thunder. Bolts of lightning plummeted to the ground in the blink of an eye, striking most of the third team of players. Bialas could feel the electricity running through the players bodies as their weapons and armors acted light lightning rods to the powerful storm above. As if being struck by the powerful force was not enough, the bodies of two of the players, Itzal and Hestia, seemed to surge with a static electricity. The small sparks that jumped from their bodies was just itching to link between the rest of the members of the group and give them a shocking experience. 

Raising up onto its hind legs, Bialas relased an ear piercing whinny, another bolt of lightning coming down to strike itself -- more specifically, its horn. The white horn shone with a powerful energy, arcs of electricity emanating from the horn like a Tesla coil, gearing up with enough electricity to fire a powerful beam at the next opponent that got in his way.

Hikoru sat and waited for the opportune strike to attack the giant horse patiently as others continued to attack the horse, but suddenly a sickly red ooze came from the creature, and it's health shot back up. His eyes widened. Had they activated some sort of ability? He heard Beat say something about no bleed weapons, and it made sense. So now bosses had healing abilities, something he had entirely forgotten about. If players could do it, why couldn't monsters and bosses as well? He grit his teeth. He knew for a fact that Itzal had a bleed weapon, as he was the one who gave him it. If he got a good hit, it could cost them in the time consumption of the fight. He hoped Itzal heard Beat as he yelled as all the players as a warning, and he hoped that they could finish this quickly. As he was about to attack, another bolt of lightning shot at him, and he grit his teeth. His Battle Healing activated afterwards, and he went for the strike before the horse could notice where he was. He leapt and attacked onto the back of the horse, stabbing and slashing, dealing another good chunk of health from it. He landed with his group, kicking up some dust underneath him and let out a puff of air, having held his breath while he attacked.

"Alright, any bleed weapons please change now. This is a dangerous ability it has, and it could cost someone their life." He said, then prepared for what would happen next.

Jonathan watched as the entire boss team fought with strength and strategy. This was the first boss raid he had managed to see where the teams were well coordinated and everyone worked fluently with eachother. As his team finished their attack, he noticed that after the cloaked girl attacked it began to bleed silver blood, but then it became a dark murky green and its health climbed back up. He heard shouts from several players about taking out bleed effect weapons. He looked to the cloak player, wondering what she would do. He didn't have any enhancements on his sword, so he was fine where he was. He would just have to help make back the ground that was lost. He did notice that the boss seemed to be charging up. He wanted to deal some damage to it before it got him. He charged forward, his blade taking upon a bright blue aura. He dealt a decent amount of damage to the boss, no where near that of Hikoru, but enough to count towards the end. He aattacked the boss head on, slicing his blade through the boss's body and dealing a considerable amount of damage. After that he returned to his group and shouted, "I think its about to blast, get away from me!" He didn't have his shield equipped so he would stand, holding his sword with two hands in a blocking motion.

Itzal watched as every single player contributed in their own way.  The boss' static charge ability was a definite new one, in the fact that unlike every other ability bosses had, he couldn't think of a single one that affected the players in such a way.  Darting from player to player in this form.  It seemed to Itzal that Kayaba was getting a little creative...  Either that or Cardinal was.  Whatever the result and answer, it wasn't good for them he believed.  At any rate, despite this new ability, players seemed to be holding well enough.  Especially in damage.  Itzal was basically just a spare meat shield.  A shiv among daggers, swords, axes and spears.  His damage compared to the others wasn't worth noting.  Even Hikoru's dagger was dealing much more than him.  Though from the look of it, Hirru seemed to have the same problem as he.  Though while some may feel better knowing this, Itzal just felt bad for the both of them rather than just himself.  Why was the one handed straight sword the weakest weapon in the entire game?  So he'd just charge at the boss, land the strike, and move back, staying out of everyone's way.  He would make sure he didn't disturb anyone else's attacks, even if it meant his failed.  Their attacks were the ones that mattered after all.  Velnia seemed bored and he stroked her for a moment.  "Sorry Velnia, there's just not enough use for us to make this exciting."

I watch as the battle progresses and nods my head as what seems to be happening in general as the boss is already close to death seemingly as i find myself rather surprised at how well things are going for the most part. I then watch as the storm finally rains down as i prepare for the worst as i grit my teeth ever so slightly as the lightning strikes myself as i watch as the electrical current stays around my body as i sigh softly at that fact. I then look around the area at the health bars and particularly my own, and then looks over towards the boss. 'Okay yeah might as well use it now.' I think to myself as i activate my mod to heal everyone up as i touch my own chest healing myself first as it shoots out towards the other members healing them back up also. 'not bad, and if anything this group hasn't been hurt that much. Maybe it is that static thing, or the fact everyone in this group runs evasions builds.' I think to myself in curiosity.

After she brought her power upon the boss, it began to bleed, which turned out no longer in her favor. She caused the boss to heal. She crouched down, examining the fight from there. To her, she pointed out that no one knew exactly who had brought up the bleed effect, so she was going to receive whiplash form the frontliners from it. Secondly, Hikoru was still doing a far better job in terms of damage than her. She cursed herself and was about to attack when she hard Hikoru and a few others to call something. The call to unequip all bleed weapons. She herself, had no other weapon in her battle inventory to switch into. She let a puff of breath escape her before she continued her assault, darting straight towards her opponent. She controlled her breathing, activating her eternal cyclone sword art. She attacked in a flurry, her blade untraceable as she attacked. Quickly, bright orange lights flashed around her each time she landed one of her thirteen hits. She kicked off the boss and crouched once more, the Shadow Walker having finished her attack. She moved back, passing a dark haired boy she assumed was the Itzal name on her left, electricity jumped to her, meaning her entire group now had Static effect on.

The dark clouds of the rooms rumble with small streams of electricity crackling up above the players as the boss faces the players that have angered him and lowered his health to the last bar of health. The clouds igniting with sound and light as the storm kicks in seeming to grow steadily worse as the arcs of electricity and lightning only seem to increase within frequency as the electricity that is covering the Boss' horn only increases with power as Bialas lets out a loud whiny as lightning strikes the first group of players with only two being hit, and also having the electrical charge covering their bodies. With that Bialas then fires the Nova bolt towards the silver player that had insulted him earlier. The beam of pure electricity passing by the player just grazing his armor not giving him the full power of the attack.

A loud boom echoes throughout the boss arena as the thunder only increases in volume. Slowly drowning out other noises besides the sounds of it, and the boss Bialas screams of pain, or whinnies of its strikes to the players that are slashing at its form to try and bring it down.

They had come far. The three health bars were nearly gone, only one was left, and people seemed to still have enough energy to burn through to get the last health bar depleted. With a smile underneath the visor of his helmet, Macradon would begin to run up forward with Belphegor by his side. As the two would get closer to the unicorn Bialas, Macradon would halt his speed as Belphegor continued to up his pace, running straight towards the unicorn. Macradon prepared himself and got into stance, activating his <Galaxy Destroyer> sword art. As Macradon would get up close, Belphegor would finish his running and bite unto the underside of the unicorn, biting onto the belly and the two hind legs, pinning the unicorn in place for long enough for Macradon to his his attack, dealing a good chunk of damage that would successfully advance the clear of this floor.

Jomei's shifting eyes moved as swiftly as the lightning strikes that crashed into the ground from the rumbling clouds above. There was just so much to keep track of during this battle, for not only did Jomei have to worry about the powerful unicorn trampling him and his comrades, but he also needed to be aware of where the lightning strikes were going to occur, and if he was in their line of fire. Despite, the green bars of health that hovered around Bialas' body were diminishing, and only one of the three remained. "We got this.." Jomei said under his breath before looking over to Telrenya to see how she was doing. Her health was still hanging high, and she seemed to stand confidently with her own progress during the fight. Jomei's lips twisted into a small smile before turning back to Bialas and charging up Oathkeeper by preparing another sword art. The Irishman shot forward, his green coat kicking up behind him. The rapier met its mark upon the silvery skin of the unicorn, ripping through its body with fourteen successive strikes.

Calrex watched as the battle continued to rage on before he felt someone put their hands to his back, glancing behind to see that it was the healer of their group @Ruby, who had sent out a burst heal to the party to make sure that the higher health teammates were topped off and the lower health teammates were brought back up to safer levels. Hearing her question the bluenette gave a smirk beneath his expressionless helm before shaking his head left and right briefly, "A lot of hard work and a handful of good luck. But trust me, don't look to me as a tank example. I'm just a well-rounded player that can really take a lot of hits."

Shortly after the brief exchange the bluenette stepped forward before feeling a lightning bolt charge up his avatar, looking down to see that his character was sparking with Static Charge once again. Recognizing the state he knew that getting close to any of his teammates would result in the charge passing on to another person, so he did the exact opposite. Before even thinking about triggering his Sword Art he took a few long strides away from his group. As he did he watched the lightning energy explode for a moment, his health dropping for a moment before his <<Battle Healing>> activated and healed up past that small amount of damage, "Good thing I grandmastered that skill..."

Activating <<All Might>> Calrex shot himself forward, his eyes locked onto the large spiral horn of the boss, "Well that thing is an actual mechanical part of the boss, meaning I'll likely not be able to break it like I did Tesseleth's tooth, but let's see if I can at least put some serious cracks into it."

Closing the distance in a split second he shot his shining right fist forward, smashing it once again into the same spot he had struck before, right at the bast of the horn. Kicking off of the face he slid back in front of his teammates, forward enough to avoid spreading the electrical energy coursing around his body.

Ruby had looked over to @Calrex as he had responded to her message, Ruby had smirked and said "Never said I did, I just find it impressive that you can deal a impressive amount of damage, along with taking basically nothing in return. I could imagine you being quite the ladies man in return as well, quite jealous if you ask me." she had giggled at her own joke. Bialas charges towards the player with the highest hate in the target group, and chooses a secondary target based on the LD of the attack roll (re-roll LD in the case of landing on the main target). Uses both the BD (target 1) and MD (target 2) and gains +1 ACC for this attack. On a hit, deals 275 DMG (135 minimum) to the main target and 175 DMG (85 minimum) to the secondary target.

Ability 2: Shockwave [3/5]

Bialas sends a massive surge of energy through the ground towards the target party. Rolls a MD against each player, dealing 150 DMG (75 minimum) on a hit. If a player is wearing heavy armor, they instead take 200 DMG (100 minimum). Applies <<Static Charge>> on a LD result of 11-20, regardless of the result of the attack (no effect on players who already have the debuff).

Ability 3: Defiled Blood

Bialas takes one turn to use his horn as a lightning rod, charging it with electrical energy. On the second turn, a devastating bolt of stored lightning is shot towards the player with the highest hate in the target group. Deals 300 DMG (150 minimum) and applies <<Static Charge>> on a hit. On a miss, this attack still deals 200 DMG (100 minimum).

Ability 5: Arc Lightning

Applies the following debuff to two random players in the next target group:
<<Static Charge>>: At the beginning of your turn, roll a die with the Roll Purpose “Static Charge”. The following happens based on the CD result:

  • 1-5: The effect spreads! You end up touching or getting close enough to another party member for them to gain the <<Static Charge>> debuff. The effect then deals 100 unmitigatable DMG, or 75 unmitigatable DMG if you have Survival active. The newly-affected player is determined by you, but must be someone who is not already affected by <<Static Charge>>.
  • 6-10: The effect deals 100 unmitigatable DMG, or 75 unmitigatable DMG if you have Survival active.
  • 11-12: The effect immediately ends, and no damage is taken.

If all players in a single party gain the <<Static Charge>> debuff, they each immediately take 100 unmitigatable DMG, or 75 unmitigatable DMG if they have Survival active, and the effect ends on all players.
