Tsu waved her tongue in dismissal when @Arabelle said that she was sorry to hear that they split up. "Don't worry about it, ribbit. We're just friends, and I think it's better that way. I try not to think about it much, ribbit.Tsu said, glancing at Pin and Spangie briefly. Arabelle then said that it was her only dress, since it was SAO. Then she complimented Tsu's outfit, saying she would be embarrassed, but Tsu pulled off the look rather well. "Aw, thanks, ribbit! I actually wear this outfit a lot when I work at my shop. I'm glad you like it, rrrrrribbit.Tsu said as she did a quick curtsy with her maid outfit.

Nova had gotten up and announced there was a karaoke contest, but Tsu already knew she couldn't do it. "You're not going to sing either are you, ribbit? My voice is too raspy to sing. But I feel like you might do good, rrrribbit.Tsu said as she turned back to Arabelle. Tsu got a big smile on her face when Arabelle said that her tongue was cool, and that it was like a superpower. "Thanks, ribbit! My username, Froppy, is what I would want my superhero name to be. Some little kids called me that a lot because of my tongue, ribbit. But my tongue took a long time to get used to. I never thought of it as a superpower, but rather as just my little quirk, rrrrrrribbit. If you could have a quirk like me, what would you have wanted, ribbit?" Tsu asked, making a bit more small talk.

Tsu had left the conversation to catch up with another friend, and Dazia looked back at Benjamin. "Well, there are times when I know the feeling, where you just feel...out of place." So many social events, but most of the time, she would feel that she didn't belong. At least speaking with familiar faces could ease her regarding that thought. In hopes of alleviating her returning thoughts of being out of place, she returned to the conversation before she could possibly trail off. She listened to what Benjamin said. "I understand. Sure." He then asked about her crafting preferences. "Well, I'm currently on my way to becoming an Artisan, so I have been seeking out the materials that would be fitting to said profession."

Yinangi was thanked for her compliments, and was also given the other names that Auranika went by. Assuming the players were the ones that gave her those other names, she said, "Wow, players must really look up to you, don't they?" Auranika looked at player near her, and, addressing him as Renixx, told him that he didn't need to escort her all over Aincrad, and that he should relax, socialize, and enjoy the party. Judging from Renixx's responses, Yinangi got the feeling that Renixx acted like a loyal warrior from his position, or maybe because of some devoted idolization... Yinangi smirked at the thought, as that would have a different name in layman's terms... "He really seems to idolize you, doesn't he?"

Nova got everyone's attention, and announced that there would be a karaoke competition with six tier one materials as the prize. Yinangi then said to Auranika, "Hm, on that note, I'll talk to you later." She then ran over towards Dazia, who was following Benjamin to the food table. "Dazia! Dazia! Did you hear? There's going to be a karaoke competition! The prize for first place is six materials! Why don't you try going for the prize? Come on, you gotta try and sing!" "Whoa whoa whoa, just...let me think about this for a moment..." When this sudden chat about something that Dazia wouldn't normally do would end, it would be obvious that there would be a pretty good chance that Yinangi would be distracted by the sweets and start raiding the tables, if not clearing them out.

Arabelle laughed. "If you've ever heard me sing, you're gonna be telling me the exact opposite. Seriously." She briefly recalled the time her friends invited her to karaoke and convinced her to sing her heart out. "I mean, if you're good at playing the piano, you must be good with anything involving music, right?" So she sang. And they never invited her to sing with them again. A small smile formed on her lips as she recalled the friends she had back in real life. "So, you mentioned a shop. What's your profession?" she inquired curiously. @Froppy seemed like a very nice girl, and Arabelle wanted to get to know her better. Maybe she'd even add her to her Friends List. "I'm a Performer. Which is kinda ironic, since I don't sing. Buuut, I can play the piano~. My only problem is the lack of customers though."

Tsu seemed to appreciate superheroes as much as Arabelle did, and the question she sent her way made the purple-haired girl pause to think for a bit. It would've been easier if the frog girl asked her what superpower she wanted. For Arabelle, it would be time travel. Definitely time travel. She could jump into the future or go way back into the past and meet her favorite composers! "Um...pretty hard question," Arabelle thought a bit harder. Something like Tsu's tongue. What classified as a quirk, anyway? "I suppose I would like to have better hearing than most?" After having said that, she giggled sheepishly at her lame answer. Then, an idea popped up in her head. "Oh, scratch that. Cat ears! And the good hearing that comes from it. You know, like those cat girls from anime? Ah, and if it gets too embarrassing for me, I could always hide it with a ribbon..."

" @Spangie!" the boy repeated. Then, he paused. "Uhh, no, I don't usually come to things like this. BUT THAT'S BESIDE THE POINT!" Pinball glanced about, beckoning her closer. "I have something I need you to do." Just in that moment, Novafire announced there was going to be a karoake contest, and that players would recieve Tier-one materials for winning. His eyes widened, then he narrowed them, raising both eyebrows as he looked back to the blonde girl. "Change of plans," he exclaimed. Pointing to Novafire, he says, "I need you to go win me those materials. It's important. Do it! Do it! Do it!" He suddenly switched gears, leaning back to stand up straight, and laughing. Patting the jar, he replied, "Yeah. Zomekko gets pretty, uhh... well. She doesn't like big crowds. Or the heat. Or light. Or short people, weirdly enough." He shook his head, waving a dismissive hand. "But that's neither here nor there. I need you, to go, and win that contest - for me."

She giggled and shook her head. “Yeah, what is it?” She scooted closer to him, a curious look on her face. A small laugh came from her as Nova made an announcement about the karaoke contest. Like I’d do that. “Hey, maybe Arabelle should d-“ she got cut off from his change of plans. “W-what?!” Her head shook violently. “No, no, no,” she frowned, “I am anything but a singer,” she clasped her too hands together, “Don’t make me do it alonnneee!” She begged, a small thought occurring in her head at the same time. “Hey, if I have to do it. You have to do it too!” A wicked grin formed on her face.

”Wow, that’s a lot of dislikes there,” she giggled, patting Agni’s head. “I could almost say the same thing to Agni here,” a nervous curve on her face as she felt her familiar bare his teeth, “See? You should win your own contest!” She huffed.

Vigilon claimed that nothing was wrong, and that it was a party, as if nothing could go wrong. "It's nice to be optimistic, but what seems to be nervousness just so happens to mislead me..." Nova got everyone's attention, and announced that there would be a karaoke competition, with six tier one materials being the reward for first place. Once again, Krysta was interested in singing, but she just didn't want to be the one who went first. She had quite the voice, but there were several reasons why going first would be a bad idea. "I'd be interested in singing, but I'd prefer not to go first..." Yolviinsil was on Krysta's shoulder, looking around, seeing the players near and far within the room. She curled up slightly, and if anyone was to make eye contact with the small ruby red feathered dragon, she'd stare at them timidly and shyly.

"Hey now, there's no need to be mislead, that wasn't my intention." Nova announced that there would be a karaoke competition, with six tier one materials being the prize for first place. "Hey, Jewel, we should enter. If either of us win, we can decide how to split them." Krysta said she would be interested in singing, but she didn't want to go first. "Hey, if you want, I can go first." He looked over to his frenemy, now only a stone's throw in distance. "Knowing April, I'm sure she'll try and enter as well, whether she needs the materials or not. However, I'm sure your amazing singing talent could give her a run for her col." He said as he looked back at Krysta with a smirk. He'd seen April sing, but in his opinion, it was nothing in comparison to Krysta's voice. He then began considering which song he could try when his turn, first or later, would arrive. He then looked around him, all these players about, and he was worried about how things would turn out. He wasn't sweating or anything, but what concerned him right now was that he hadn't even gotten on the stage, so to speak, and he was afraid he was already, prematurely having stage fright.

Yinangi remarked that Auranika must have gotten players to look up to her. Auranika smiled, not only because she was talking to a child, but because this would mean well for her, in terms of her lifelong goal: To be known of, cared about, and respected by as many as possible. Yinangi was smirking about something, and then she gave her thoughts on Renixx's behavior towards Auranika. True, Renixx did seem to idolize her, but judging by how Yinangi presented it, as well as the smirk from earlier, Auranika put two and two together and tried to hide the fact that she was blushing at the revelation that Renixx might have a crush on her. Frankly, though, "Who wouldn't?" was her opinion. When Nova declared herself as the host and announced the karaoke competition, Renixx came to give a suggestion as Yinangi was returning to Dazia. "Lady April, I believe you should sing. No voice I have heard thus far has been able to come close to yours." Auranika sighed, thought about it, and said, "I'll consider it. Despite that I will strive for first, I have no need of the materials. I guess I will give the prize to the one who achieves second."

Ben continued his conversation with Dazia. Oh, an Artisan?  I haven't seen too many around.  There are some good things you can make there- especially for the skill boosting items.  Those could be really nice if you have a bunch to switch between as needed.  Ah, but I'm talking shop again... I do that way too often.  he said before being interrupted by Nova's announcement of the karaoke contest.  That got a bit of a chuckle out of him, as he used so many materials that a half dozen didn't even register any more.  You know, I did think about trying to be a performer as my second choice... but I'm no good at all with crowds.  I couldn't get up there on my own.  He then had an idea pop into his head.  You know, maybe we can see Yinangi go up there and sing.  I think we both would love to hear that! he said while giving Dazia a wink.  Being up there would be fun to watch, and keep her away from destroying the snack tables as well.

Arabelle glanced at Angie and Pin once again. On one hand, she really wanted to talk with her blonde friend, mainly cause they've never hung out at a party before and she wanted to make up for kind-of ditching her just a while ago. But on the other hand, she was currently engaged in a conversation with @Froppy, someone she really wanted to get to know more. And Pin was jumpy around Tsu and would probably leave the party altogether if she dragged the frog girl along with her. She should probably let him have his fun. She shifted on her feet and overheard @Vigilon and @Krysta talking about the karaoke contest. The purple-haired girl turned to Tsu. "Hey, do you already know Vigilon and Krysta?"

After hearing the girl's response, she turned in the two players' direction and beckoned to her newfound friend. She moved forward and went to stand beside Krysta. "Hello!" she greeted cheerfully. (She'd let Tsu introduce herself first if she didn't know the two players yet). "Heard you were planning to join the karaoke, Krysta. I'm sure you'll do good. Oh, and Vigilon, are you gonna sing, too? You guys should do a duet! I think you'd instantly win the competition if you do!" Arabelle chattered. "I mean, Nova didn't say anything against singing together, right?"

Tsu answered Arabelle quickly when asked what her profession was. "I'm a cook, ribbit. I own McFroppy's on the tenth floor. I mostly do it to have a place to live, rrrribbit." Tsu answered as she followed Arabelle over to where Krysta and Vigilon were, waving to them. Tsu had gone questing with them before, so she knew them a bit. It turned out that they were planning on performing for the karaoke. Tsu agreed with Arabelle with the idea of them doing a duet. It's always cute seeing couples perform. Tsu remained silent just letting Arabelle have her fun talking. Tsu was surprised with herself that she was able to keep it together so far in this party.

Pinball flinched. "Yeah, hell no," he said, waving his hands. "I'm not going anywhere near the stage, kid." He stuck a finger out at @Spangie, "But you! You're the like... fun loving, bubbly type, yeah? You can do it." He shoved his thumbs up, nodding. "I believe in you, Spangie. I believe." He fiddled with his bowtie for a moment, glancing about the room. I still don't know what I should do. The party seemed to be going along swimmingly. Much better than Novafire's old gathering event, anyways. He frowned, remembering the childish way he had acted. What was he trying to do? Goad Outlander into hitting him? Probably. But then what? Freeze him so he can show off? Kill him? I'd never kill someone, he protested. The very thought made him sick to his stomach. Pinball shook it off, hopping in place. He immediately noticed Vigilon talking to what seemed to be his friends, some dark-haired player talking to Benjamin, and... Arabelle talking to Froppy. "Ooo, that can't be good," he mumbled. Looking back to the blonde player, he shouted, "Spangie! I need those materials! Win them for me! I'd push you, but I don't want to get arrested!" Pinball spun around the girl, gently tapping her on the back. "Go, my sweet child. Be free! Sing for Pinball!

She seemed slightly taken aback. “Noo! I can’t sing!” She screeched, dragging her cheeks down, “I can’t sing for the life of me! Just because I’m happy-go doesn’t mean I can sing!” She whined, rubbing her forehead. “But I don’t believe!” the player let out a wail and groaned, “Help me out here!” The blonde turned to her familiar and knelt down, taking its head with her hands. “Tell him I can’t sing!” She pointed to @Pinball with a desperate look. Her familiar look slightly amused, ushed her forward with his snout. “No! You traitor!” She hissed, swatting at his ears. She brushed off her dress and sat with with an agaonoing groan. All of a sudden, her hands clasped onto his shirt, lifting him up a few centimeters off the ground, “If I do this, you owe me for life. You got that?” She demanded through hooded eyes and gritted teeth. A few heartbeats later, she reverted back to her happy go lucky self and gave a bright smile, “I’m gonna own this competition!” She cheered, jogging off to find Nova, “It’s 50/50 by the way!” She shouted as she ran.

After looking around for a couple minutes, she finally found the person she was looking for. “Hey @Novafire. I’d like to.. um..” she trailed off, “I want to enter the karaoke competition!” She finally said, a sheepish smile on her face. Oh dear God Of Bananas, what am I getting into..?

Outlander sat at the bar stool, he got a message from someone from his Pact. It read:

Spoiler

To: Outlander

From: @Sharr
Yo boss, I’ll be attending this party hosted by a player named Novafire, just wanted you to know that this could be a good place to meet alot of players, and people we can trust...

He was interested, he recognized the name Novafire. He meet here earlier in the year at another event. Looks like she is a very social person after all. He sent a message back before arriving near the building.

Spoiler

To: Sharr

From: Outlander

Understood. A colleague of mine will arrive shortly, I just need to go clothes shopping first. He will see you there, by the way, he will ask a particular question, if you answer correctly, he will know it is you. Trust me, you will know its him when you see him. He is wearing a bright red suit with a cane a top hat, also a really unsettling mask. He will say:
“A man is not what he thinks…” You have to finish it with. “..it’s what he hides.” Then he will know it’s you.

Outlander continued to drink, for he was at his favorite tavern, The Westward Tavern on floor eleven, with his favorite pal Samuel, and no amount of free coffee can replace their pumpkin spice mead. It's truly something to die for. "You know..." Outlander said turning to Sam. "...sometimes I drink water to surprise my liver." Outlander said with a grin on his face.

<<Outlander was never in the building or area so he leaves immediately>>

Dazia really didn't mind Benjamin speaking about business. Everyone has a role, sometimes more than one. She did hear that some players were able to handle running a shop along with plenty of other kinds of chaos with ease, so she would see how that worked in due time. Benjamin said that he once considered going with the performer profession, but that he didn't do very well with crowds. Benjamin then came up with the thought of Yinangi possibly singing. Yinangi overheard that. "M-mmgffff!?!?" She turned to the two players, revealing that her face was stuffed with cookies, her cheeks bulging like a chipmunk's, and her arms had plenty of cookies, too. Dazia chuckled as she placed a hand on her forehead. "You just couldn't help yourself, could you?" Yinangi finished up the cookies she was already eating so that she could speak. "You guys want me to sing?" Yinangi had to think fast. "Well, I'll only do it if you'll sing, too!" "Really?" "Yup! I'll throw in the prize materials and some col if I have to!" Dazia sighed. "Fine."

As the strange man was walking around floor one, his mask shimmering in the moonlight. Then he got a message from his superior. Telling him about at event being hosted nearby. “This must be worth going to, it has a buffet, and what kind of rich palace doesn’t have a buffet?” He wandered towards the destination listed on his map. After about thirty minutes of walking, he’d arrived at the front of the building, a stylish Victorian era looking building. He equipped his cane and walked inside. There were long corridors and heavily detailed rooms. He entered a ballroom of which most of the players were in. He stopped, putting his cane into the ground, adjusted his top hat, and entered. Looking around for the person he was supposed to meet. He noticed many of the individuals where female, but his superior told him he was meeting "Him", thus forth, not a girl. He assumed Outlander had told the person he was meeting how he was. So he went over to a table, sat in one of the four chairs, and proposed his cane up against the table. Then, he waited.

Vigilon and Krysta were approached by Arabelle and Tsu. "Hey, Arabelle! Tsu! Nice to see you two again." When Arabelle suggested that Vigilon and Krysta sing a duet, his cheeks turned red and he said, "Uuuuhhhh, that's a nice thought, but I doubt my voice would do well alongside Krysta's... Besides, I'm sure we'd have better chances of getting on top working separate in this case, unless it is possible to do both. Still though, I don't know how that would work..." Anyone could see the sweat going down the side of his head as he scratched the back of his neck. "Eh heh heh, w-what do you think, Krysta? Heh heh, heh....." Honestly, he didn't have a clue on how he could possibly do a duet with a voice that amazing. There was no song that came up in his mind in which his singing style and Krysta's singing style could work together, at least, with ease.

Arabelle's hearing picked up an interesting conversation from across the room. (It was a bit easy for her. She was a musician, and most musicians had a good ear. And they were practically shouting. "Noooo! I can't sing!" "Be free! Sing for Pinball!" She turned her gaze in the direction of the exchange curiously and spotted Angie stomping towards their hostess. It wasn't hard to figure out who won the argument. Arabelle watched as her blonde friend spoke with Nova and a small smile formed on her face.  She had no idea how good Angie was at singing, and she was excited to find out.

Arabelle turned her attention back to the conversation she was currently engaged in. @Vigilon had become a bit flustered at her suggestion and mumbled an objection before seeking his girlfriend's opinion. So he probably wants to, deep inside. Can't blame him. I would definitely want to play a piano duet with the person I like, too. "I'm sure it'll be fun," she told him assuringly. But really, she was looking forward to seeing those two sing. If only video cameras existed in this game...

Ry was seated in a corner on the second-story, sipping on a coffee. Looking out over the ball-room, he was slightly drawn-in by the game's ability to construct such vivid locations. The weather outside had been nice earlier, sunny and warm on the skin; but now that night had set in, the weather was cooling to a comfortable evening. The stars outside had been glittering, but you always had a beautiful night sky to look at here in Aincrad, well at-least here on the First Floor. It took Ry back to memories of camping, being with his family under a night sky, roasting marshmallows, making s'mores, even playing a little bit of guitar while sitting under that same type of star-lit sky.

Being pulled from his thoughts he could hear the sound of voices below him, and though he couldn't quite make out the entire conversation, it certainly sounded like they were discussing who would sing this evening. Oh great, Karaoke, Ry thought to himself, unsure whether he should smile or groan. Trapped in a death game and they are discussing who is going to break-out into a song. Can't blame them for trying to break the tension I guess, and maybe a little soft-music with my drink will set the temperature of the room.

From his viewpoint, Ry could see a man enter and take a seat at a table. The man in his red suit was quite over-dressed, even for a party. Ry watched as he placed his cane next too him and took a seat at a table with four empty chairs. Must be meeting up with someone, he quietly thought to himself. Intrigued, Ry continued to observe the man and the rest of the party, while casually sipping on his coffee.

[OOC: Time to revive this dying thread, We aren’t through with you yet… XD]
Epsilon twirled her fingers through her long strands of hair spilling over her shoulders, her orange-gold eyes moved from spot to spot looking for something to entertain herself, for the time being, the only thing she saw was that one of the players familiars flew up into the chandelier above, the girl had purple hair. Lindsey quickly got bored of having no one to talk to, so, she thought, if she sang up on the stage, maybe she could start a conversation with someone, she sure felt like she had nothing better to do. She approached the blonde haired host. “Um, Nova, I-I… I would like to, sing?” Epsilon felt nervous about this, she had never sung in front of people before, she didn't think singing in front of a group of players was a good Idea, she felt as if they would deny her as if they thought she wasn't a good singer. She felt her anxiety flood her.

Nova continued to monitor the party, trying to cater the guest’s needs the best of her. All while a smile grew wider on her face. She ran into the player Epsilon, who said she wanted to join in on the singing. “More the merrier.” She responded with a wide grin across her face. Then she got close and whispered. “You wanna impress them with your singing?” She then pointed across the ballroom towards all the guys. Afterward, she got on top of one of the tables and clicked a cup a couple times with a spoon. “Everyone, everyone, I have some news about the karaoke! The following players please head to the stage. Krysta, Vigilon, Spangie, Epsilon, and everyone else forgot to mention!” She said giggling at the end. “ Let's give them a big round of applause for volunteering to sing! If I didn’t say your name, just come on up if you wanna sing, because, I may have forgotten you asked...” Novafire said, clapping in the end. “The players are going in order in the way I announced them. Which means first up, Krysta!” After saying this Nova walked up to the contestants. “Good luck! I can’t wait!”
