[F21 - PP] Blue Eyes White Snapdragon <<Nature's Treasure>>

Recommended Posts

Neo was continuing to go out and try gathering more unidentified objects for her to get identified. It was the best bet she had to get some good equipment she could use later. She knew that it wouldn't be the best time to gather, dealing with her emotions. But it would certainly be best to get the gathering done while she had the energy to. Returning to her message on the board, she gave it a quick edit to make sure people knew the offer was still available. She decided to wait for a few more minutes, or just try and go out on her lonesome. Perhaps that would be better. She didn't want to drag anyone down while fishing. It was normally something for people to do while calming themselves down. For her, it was only making her feel worse about herself.

I'm a mid-level player and I'll take anyone out on floor 21 for gathering or fishing. Just let me know if you want to come. If you're not first, I'll be able to later.

Waiting for anyone to respond, Neo did her best to not wallow in self-pity.

On his way from the fishing trip with Shield on floor twenty one Cosi noticed a notice- haha very funny brain- about someone looking for another person to accompany them on a fishing trip. Cosi had just been fishing but there couldn't be any hurt in more Col and Mats. Shield did say to be prepared for finding my familiar. I would rather have too much stuff then be just short. So Cosi decided to take up the offer. Besides he thought he recognized the name. When he saw the person who posted the notice he knew he recognized it. It was Neo the short silent girl with tow colors of hair and a wonderful bakery down on floor seven. Cosi waved cheerfully, and greeted the girl, "Hey there Neo! Looking for a fishing partner I hear!" In reality Cosi hardly knew the silent girl but he had seen her around and had ordered a couple consumables from her shop so this was a perfect opportunity to get to know her more. Cosi made his way over and extended a friendly hand. "How are you Neo? I'm Cosi if you don't remember."

Neo didn't have to wait too long before she saw a vaguely familiar face. She had only seen them on occasion while they were getting items from her shop. She didn't really know them, though remembered their name. Cosi seemed to already be coming from a recent trip, much like Neo herself. She prepared to give a bow when he gave his greeting, but was met with a handshake instead. She shook his hand, then sent a party invite over to him as her own greeting. She found that it was the best way to greet people, as it gave her name in the invite as well as moved things straight to the point. Though not the reason she stayed silent, it did help to move things along and reduce the idle chit-chat many were prone to. It didn't always work, but it was something. She waited for him to accept the invite before heading out towards the fishing spot she knew was hiding on this floor. She didn't know if that was where Cosi was coming from as well, but it was likely if he had just gone out to gather materials.

Neo shook his hand but stayed silent as it seemed was usual for her. Cosi didn’t mind though and soon received a party invite from the short quiet girl. Cosi accepted it right away and then looked up to ask where they were going. But Neo was already walking off someplace. So Cosi shrugged his shoulders and followed the girl with the chocolate brown and strawberry pink hair. He caught up to her. “So... where are we going? I just finished a fishing trip with Shield on this floor. Are there more places to fish here or are we going to the same place?” Cosi’s questions just spilled out even though he knew that Neo couldn’t or wouldn’t answer any of them. Hopefully she would convey her answers in some way but if she did not Cosi would be fine with that. Then he would just follow the quiet girl wherever she went. As long as she didn’t lead them off a cliff. But Cosi doubted she would do that. Neo seemed like s nice girl and also a smart girl. Plus her cooking was pretty good so she couldn’t be that bad.

Neo listened as she made her way towards the fishing spot that she knew. She nodded her head, hoping Cosi would understand it was to the last of his questions. She didn't know if Shield knew of multiple fishing spots, but it was likely that it was the same. She wove her way through the tunnels, pausing occasionally to remember exactly which way to go. Once in the cavern, she quickly made her way to the edge of the lake and cast her line in. Nothing bit immediately, but she wasn't surprised. If there was multiple people that have been farming in the same spot for some time now there was likely to not be as many fish to catch. The fish wasn't what she was after though. What she really wanted was to get some unidentified gear. She was pretty sure Cosi was a merchant, but there was others she could go to to get the gear checked. If she could, she had the perfect set of enhancements she wanted researched and ready. It would be some time until she finally had it though.

Neo nodded, though Cosi could only guess which question that was an answer to. Cosi would have to be more concise and to the point with Neo and not bombard her with questions. But as they approached the same hidden grotto and underground lake that Shield and Cosi had gone to for their trip. The pair entered through the illusionary wall and Cosi instantly went to sit at the edge of the underground pond. Cosi pulled out his fishing pole, brought back his arm, and with a small flick of his wrist sent the hook far out into the center of the lake. Cosi was just about to ask Neo a question when his line was pulled on. Cosi was surprised the fish were biting already but reeled in the line just the same. He got a small fish which turned into particles and became a single slice of fish meat. Cosi grinned and turned to the girl with two shades of hair. “guess the fish are already biting, huh?” Cosi kept smiling and cast out his line again.

Neo didn't offer any response as she sat there and waited for her line to be bit. She ended up reeling it in and recasting before getting a rather large fish onto the line. She reeled it in and let it dissolve into materials. She figured the two of them could split thing sas they were making their way back towards the town. At least, that was what made the most sense to her. She had only gone on a trip purely for gathering once before and the person she went with had done most of the gathering for her. She was just glad to walk away with whatever they let her have. She didn't really deserve much of it. At least now, she would hopefully be on relatively even footing with the person she was gathering with. She was curious why there was no bombard of questions yet. It seemed that was all anyone wanted to do when they met her, even though she remmained silent through all of them.

Cosi sat in silence, happily just swinging his legs as they hung over the surface of the lake. Fishing wasn't the most interesting or exciting past time but it was rewarding, especially if anyone got a chest. Cosi was simply looking up at the ceiling above them and all the strange bio luminescent flora and fungi when he felt a tug on his fishing pole. Cosi quickly reeled in his catch: a fairly large fish. Cosi brought the fish in close and removed it from the hook where it turned into to cuts of sashimi in his hand. Cosi set them down in Neo and his pile. The pile of materials was small right now but Cosi was sure that it would grow in short time. Cosi turned and smiled at Neo, just seeing how she was doing. The small girl brought in a large fish that turned into three mats. Cosi decided to try and strike up a one sided conversation, just to break the silence. "I like your bakery on the seventh floor. Its quite nice and cozy and it smells like pine. What rank cook are you?"

Neo continued to fish peacfully, enjoying the silence it came with. The person she was fishing with, Cosi, wasn't that talkative. It was a nice break from all of the socialites she had been ealing with recently. She almost always felt like she was being bombarded with questions. Just beccause she was mute didn't make her that much different from the others. All she had different was that she didn't talk, nothing else. Her ears perked up though as Cosi did. Ask a question, for oncce about the game and not her personally. She thought back a bit to remember exactly what rank she was, then held up an open hand of five fingers. As she did this, her hand was jerked back towards the pole as she felt a bite on it. Reeling it in quickly, she recceived a rather small fish. Letting the game turn it into materials, Neo placed it into the growing pile and held up her open hand once more, in case Cosi didn't see it before being interrupted.

Cosi saw Neo hold up five fingers in response to his question. Then she had to quickly reel in a fish- it gave them one more slice of fish- and after she held up another five. The second five was probably just in case he hadn't noticed the first but Cosi couldn't help but chuckle. "I'm guessing you meant five and not fifty five," Cosi grinned, cast out his line again, and then turned back to Neo. "So do you cook in real life or was it just something you picked up in game?" Cosi sat and waited for here response, only turning away to reel in the fish he had hooked. After pulling it in and setting the three materials it rewarded him aside Cosi turned back to Neo so he wouldn't miss her response. The one sided conversation isn't too awkward actually and the silence between comments is quite refreshing as well.

Neo returned to her fishing after nodding her head. She had certainly meant five. Little misconceptions like this tended to be common with her method of communication. Of course, she had gotten used to providing clarifications in her movements. After years of it, the act of correction had become second nature. As she continued to fish for materials, Neo gave heed to Cosi's next question. Without turning around, she gave a motion like picking up an object. Hopefully Cosi would understand that she meant she hadn't really cooked in real life. There were the times that she had made simple things like instant ramen, but she had never really cooked for more than just herself in a quick meal sort of capacity. She wished that she had learned to cook, or learned anything at all. When this game was over, she truly had no clue where she would be going. Probably to some sort of rehabilitation for others stuck in the game like her.

Neo mimed picking up an object which puzzled Cosi for a couple seconds. Then he gave it a shot in the dark and guessed that she meant the motion to mean buying groceries. So not a cook. Cosi shrugged his shoulders and cast out his line again. "I've never been much of a cook- in here or in real life- but it seems like an interesting profession. By the way, I really like your cafe on floor seven. Its nice and cozy." Cosi was about to continue when his line gave a sharp tug and he had to quickly reel in his catch before it got away or pulled him in. After a couple stressful seconds the blonde managed to reel in the fish. And it was quite a big fish. Cosi set aside the three materials he got in the pile of fish meat and cast out his line again. He sat and looked out over the small underground lake. It was very peaceful. He was glad there were no mobs in this area because if there were Cosi would be utterly dead even if Neo was super high level. I wonder what level Neo is actually?

Neo smiled at the compliment Cosi gave her, as well as a little blush. She wasn't used to being complimented much if at all. Most of her high school years had been insults and reconciliation from friends for the insults. The smile was quickly taken off of her face when she felt a tug on her line. Turning her attention back towards the lake, she quickly began to reel in the fish. It was a bit smaller than most, but it would still do. She dissolved it into its material components and placed the two materials it gave onto the growing pile. Hopefully they would end up with an even number to split, though who knew what they would end up with. Fishing seemed to be so unpredictable, but usually quite profitable for crafters and merchants. It was a little less useful for those who didn't craft as much as others, but it was still useful for all the col you could get from chests.

Cosi looked back to Neo and caught a glimpse of scarlet cheeks. Cosi chuckled a bit. She must be blushing at my compliment about her store. I guess she doesn’t get many compliments. Cosi shrugged and kept fishing. Soon he reeled in a fair sized fish that added another two materials to Neo and his growing pile. Cosi sent his line flying back into the lake with a flick of his wrist and resigned himself to waiting for the next bite on his hook. The pair hadn't come across any chests so far but the last time Cosi had gone fishing- which wasn't too long ago- it had been with Shield which Shield's whole getup was being an amazing tank and getting the best loot. Cosi shrugged again to himself and waited, simply looking at the lake and the ceiling covered in strange glowing plants and crystals. This spot was pretty cool.

With the silence falling across the two of them once more, Neo just turned towards her fishing. She felt a rather large tug on her line, and hoped that it might be a chest. Sadly, it was just a large fish. She was really hoping to start getting some gear to try and get the unique enhancements she had heard so much about, but there was practically nothing for her to have at the moment. As it stood, there was only materials that they had gathered so far. Maybe there would be some good things to find later on. Debating whether or not to start up another topic somehow, Neo ended up just casting in her line once more in search for either a large fish or finally getting a chest in this lake. There wasn't much else for the two of them to do here, so fishing away the time was the best thing she could think of doing.

Cosi looked over to see the pink and brown haired girl reel in a frankly massive fish and add four slices of fish meat to the pile. Still no chests but they had just barely started. It was probably the silence that made it feel like it had been much longer. Cosi shrugged and then the platinum blonde felt a yank on his line and reeled in a fish about half as big as the one Neo had landed. Still the additional two materials would have some use later down the road. Cosi cast out his line again and returned to waiting for a bite. Though after a couple silent seconds he decided to break up the quiet. "So Neo, what type of build are you? If you don't mind me asking." After asking his question the blonde tank turned to his companion just so he didn't miss her nonverbal response.

Neo waited as Cosi reeled in another fish. Just as he was asking about her build, she felt a tug on her line. She reeled in the fish and held it up towards Cosi. Bringing out her rapier, she quickly slashed it. The fish suddenly stopped moving, having been paralyzed, and began to bleed out. Once it was dead, Neo converted it into its material components. Hopefully that would suffice as an explanation to him. If not, she would resort to sending him a message to explain it. He seemed to be doing better than most at understanding what she was trying to say with her actions, so there was less of a chance that it would be misinterpreted. More of a risk was being run that it seemed to just be a display of unnecessary aggression. Regardless, Neo cast her line back in to try and find something else of use.

At Neo's display of sword play Cosi nodded. He had two thoughts one after the other: poor fishy and cool. She was much better with her rapier than Cosi was with his arming sword. That probably meant she was a DPS, maybe a build focused on status effects considering the bleed effect. "Fancy," Cosi said with a lopsided grin, "I'm guessing DPS. I prefer tanking." He then turned to his line as it gave a couple sharp tugs, but as he began to reel in his catch he was too slow and the fish got away, leaving a small twin wake in the glass surface of the pond. Cosi grimaced but laughed it off. There would be other fish he could catch. It seemed that Shield and his fishing earlier that day hadn't reduced the spawn rate or whatever this game based it on. Cosi cast out his line another time hoping to actually catch a fish this time.

After her little display and placing the fish on top of the pile, she nodded towards Cosi's guess. It wasn't too hard to see, but thankfully there was still no misinterpretation. Her line was cast and she had to wait a little while for another fish to bite it. Thankfully when she reeled it in it was a rather large one. Perhaps there were no chests in the lake right now, though that would be a little absurd. She figured it was a rather high spawn chance, though that may have just been the bias of when she was with Shield the first time she was here. He did seem to have quite a bit of buffs for his searching endeavors. She let the fish cut itself up into materials and placed it on the ever-growing pile. Cosi didn't seem to get any this time, so she just patiently went back to fishing things up on her own.

Searching for a chest: ID# 106604- LD: 20+3= 23- success: chest found!

Cosi set aside his fishing pole, stood up, stretched, and decided to go for a stroll around the cavern. According to Shield you could sometimes find the treasure chests outside of the lake. Cosi fingered the dragon shaped ring on his left hand index finger and also gave the beaded bracelet on his other arm a jangle. Time to see if these help at all. Cosi strolled around the cavern, his eyes scanning his surrounding area. He wondered where a chest might spawn when he caught a glimmer out of the corner of his eye. The emerald dragon eyes of his new ring were sparkling with a light of there own. Cosi bought up his hand and watched as the light condensed into a small beam. Cosi followed where the light beam pointed and soon he came to a jumble of rocks. The ray angled down so Cosi approached. And sure enough there was a iron reinforced chest nestled among the rocks. Cosi grinned and called out to Neo. "Hey! Neo! I found a chest! Mind coming to help me with it!"
