Neo was about to cast in her line again when Cosi shouted out that he had a chest. She walked over to him, qwuickly composing and sending a message while making her way there. It wasn't far, just enough time to fire off a quick message. Once there, she reached in with her slim and small body and quickly opened up the chest. The results were rather lackluster, just some col and a single material. Pulling them out she went over and laid them onto the pile. If Cosi offered any comment about the lack of substance inside the chest, Neo would just shrug. She prepared to cast her line into the water once more, returning to the peacefulness of fishing. There wasn't anything else to do unless she wanted to be inefficient and fight some monsters. It might be a little more consistent, but she preferred to just fish her worries away.

Neo opened the chest and when it didn't offer the same contents of treasure chests Shield and him had found Cosi simply shrugged and smiled at Neo. Cosi returned back to the fishing spot, picked up his fishing pole, sat down, and cast out his line again. Maybe one of them would fish up a chest and they'd get some more loot. But it seemed that wouldn't even get a fish right now. His pole remained still, barely disturbing the smooth surface of the underground lake. Cosi sighed and simply waited, actually leaning back against a stalagmite or stalactite- Cosi didn't know or care which one it was- and tried to get comfortable. He felt like they had finally reached the game's limit on how many fish had spawned in this large pond. Now just to wait and hope that a fish bit before he died of boredom. That was the only bad thing about fishing: if you didn't catch anything it got mind numbingly boring.

After the rather disappointing results from the Chest, Neo made her way back towards the lake to put her line into the water. It took her a bit to untangle the line, but she was able to cast it into the clear water without much of an issue. She was hoping that there would be some chests hiding underneath the mud, but she didn't want to disturb the fish if there wasn't one. With how little was in the chest they had gotten earlier, she wouldn't be surprised if there were no chests left in the water. It seemed as though this spot was becoming rather popular, likely Shield bringing other players to help find more materials while here. What she also wanted was to get some of the unidentified gear. She now knew that it held some of the extra bonuses that would be crucial to become stronger. And now, more than ever, she wanted to make sure no one else died while protecting her.

Cosi waited some more. His line was just sitting in the water, hardly moving on the still surface. Then the bobber dipped and was taken beneath the water and Cosi felt a tug on his line. The blonde haired player quickly reeled in his line and was rewarded with another good sized fish. I guess not all the fish are gone, Cosi thought to himself as he removed the flopping creature from the hook. The fish then crumbled in his hand turning into two cuts of raw fish meat. Materials. Cosi added them to the large pile between Neo and himself. Cosi grinned at Neo. “We’ve got a good amount don’t we. I think I’ll stay just a little bit longer. I’ve got some things I want to do.” Cosi tossed his line back into the clear pool, “Still I’m sure there sure there is plenty of more fish. And hopefully some more treasure chests.” Cosi gave a lopsided grin and then looked back toward the lake.

The water was calm, considering how many fish they had pulling out of it earlier. There didn't seem to be as many now however, and Neo began to wonder if they had fished the spawn point out of existing. It was unlikely, as it seemed to have been a favored spot of Shield's for quite some time. It was more likely that it was just in a lull with its spawns at the moment. If that meant anything it was either a boss fish ready to surface or a treasure chest was hiding somewhere. Just as she was wondering if it was possible for a boss monster to show up here, Neo felt a small tug on her line. It wasn't much, but she was able to quickly reel the fish in and have it cut up into a single material. Placing it on the pile, she listened to Cosi. She nodded towards his idea of leaving soon. If the fish were stopping to bite then it would be best if they just left and came back again another time.

Cosi saw Neo nod her head out of the corner of his eye. We do have a good amount of materials right now so it wouldn't hurt to go now. But I think we can still stay a little longer and hopefully get one more treasure chest. Just as Cosi was thinking that he felt a tug on his line. Alas it wasn't a treasure chest- it was much too easy to reel in- and Cosi ended up with a small fish. Cosi took it off the hook and added one more material to the pile. Cosi cast out his line again and turned to Neo, "Let's keep fishing for a little while longer. I feel like there's a treasure chest in that lake somewhere. Plus we've got an odd number of mats now." Cosi grinned a the pink and brown haired girl, then turned back to the lake. At least it would be nice if we fished up a treasure chest.

Neo was waiting for her line to get a pull on it when Cosi spoke again. She nodded her head in agreement, smiling slightly at his joke. She didn't feel like being in the most humorous mood, she just wanted to get some gathering done with. As relaxing as the fishing was, it was still rather boring to do. Just as she thought that of course, she felt a rather strong tug on her line. She could tell that it was pulling so it couldn't be any sort of inanimate object. Instead it was slowly brought back to shore and revealed to be a rather large fish. Cutting it up into its material pieces, Neo set the three more materials the fish became into the pile. She counted up the materials just to see how much they had. It wasn't quite that impressive considering they had two people fishing instead of just the one the last time she was here, but it would still make for a decent amount of materials.

Cosi felt another weak tug on his line and quickly reeled in his line. He was rewarded with another small fish that netted him only one more material. Cosi sighed and added the slice of meat to the pile of neo and his fish meat. After the continued fishing, it definitely seemed like the fish in the lake, especially big ones, were becoming more and more scarce. Still Cosi was holding out hope that either Neo or himself would fish up a chest and then get more loot. Sadly that had yet to happen. Cosi shrugged and cast out his line again with a flick of his wrist. Maybe this time I will get a bigger fish. Though probably not. A chest would be nice as well. Cosi crossed his fingers and silently mouthed, "Please get a chest. Please get a chest. Come on stupid game give me a treasure chest."

Neo cast in her line and let it sit in the water. There wasn't anything coming to bite it this time around, though hopefully that meant it could get snagged on a treasure chest sooner than later. It seemed Cosi was hanging on to that notion as well. Perhaps there was still a couple of big fish, but it seemed as though it was the calm before the hopeful storm of loot. The two of them were unlikely to stick around for that long, but they had only gotten the one small chest. It would be much better if they could just find one good chunk of loot. Even if she gave some of it to Cosi in the end, she wanted to have some items that she could go get identified and start working towards refining her build for this death game. She wasn't going to be able to keep up with it if she didn't start grinding now.

The game did not hear the platinum blonde player's plee. The tug on Cosi's fishing pole was hardly a tug. The line just barely dipped further below the surface and then bounced back out. Cosi sighed and then reeled in the line. The fish on the end of his line was tiny, about the size of a goldfish, maybe even smaller. Still the tank player brought it ashore and watched as it dissolved into a measly one material. Cosi sighed again, turned to Neo, and said, "At least I got one material" then added it to their pile. It does seem like this lake no longer has any big fish in it. "Still hoping that there's a chest in there somewhere." Cosi pulled back his arm and then cast out his line again. The end landed with hardly a splash. Hopefully he would get a better catch next time. Hopefully

Neo felt a small tug on her line as she waited for something to reel in. It didn't take too long to reel it in, but she saw that it was small. Letting it cut itself up into materials, Neo added it to the pile like the rest of them. It seemed that their fishing trip would soon come to a close, though it wouldn't be because they were tired. It seemed as though the lake was no longer willing to give them any more materials for them to use. Cosi appeared to be getting as frustrated with it as she felt about it, so perhaps they should call it off soon. She did want to try and find one more chest of hopefully items just so she felt as though there was something of use from the trip. If they didn't get any items, she probably should've just been over at the good spot on floor 11 and get materials to help with the lower level players.

An then for the fourth time in a row that fishing trip Cosi felt a diminutive tug on his fishing rod and with a drawn out sigh he began to reel in his catch. And just like the last three fish the blonde tank had caught this one was tiny- no bigger than a goldfish- but at least it netted him one more material. Cosi sighed once more. And then cast out his line once more. He was still holding out hope that he would fish up a chest but at this point the blonde tank would settle for a bigger fish, possibly three materials. Was that too much to ask for? Cosi sighed once again and looked over to Neo. His pink and brown haired companion didn't seem to be fairing much better than him but she seemed to be resolved to continue. I guess I'll stick around then as well. There's no harm in staying. I'm in no hurry.

Neo could tell that Cosi was getting frustrated, at least from the sighs and the pile growing much slower now. Neo was feeling fine about the situation herself, though mostly just wanted to get her hands on the nice gear that could be found. She still didn't like how disappointing the last chest had been, so she really wanted to be able to finish this trip off with a bang of loot. Regardless of outcome, she hoped that she could possibly go on another trip with Cosi sometime soon. She had found it rather hard to find a fishing partner, and though she never talked it was still nice to have someone to go fishing with. Of course, that meant that they would have to not throw themselves into harm's way, but Cosi seemed to be a pretty collected person. It would work quite well if the two of them could work together a bit more.

Cosi was just about to be at the end of his rope. He hadn't caught any fish or at least any fish that rewarded him with a good amount of materials. Thankfully just about when the blonde player was about to turn to Neo and tell her that they might as well stop or move on to a new fishing spot he felt a sharp tug on his fishing line. Cosi scrambled to hold onto his line and then began to reel in his catch. The fish was quite big actually and when Cosi removed the still struggling fish from the hook it dissolved into three more materials. Cosi turned to Neo as he added them to the pile and grinned, "I guess there are still big fish in this pond so it wouldn't hurt to stick around for a little while longer." Cosi turned back to the lake and cast in his line once more, hoping for another big catch.

The fishing continued in relative silence. There wasn't that much that was getting onto their fishing lines, but it was still something. Cosi seemed to fish up another good sized fish and told her they may as well keep going. Neo nodded her head, though things were certainly  winding down.  It was possible that there was still a chest hiding in the lake, but at this point she didn't think it likely. It was just going to be pure luck if they could actually find one. Nothing new for this game though. Even if they did find a chest, Neo didn't have her hoeps up that high. It was quite unlikely that she would actually be able to get the items that she needed just from a few chests. This would be a long grind for the item she needed, but hopefully it would be worth it in the end.

The fishing was going very slow. Cosi had caught a bigger fish and his pink and brown haired companion had caught a fish as well but now Cosi was back to not getting any bites. It was slow going especially with a quiet companion but Cosi didn't mind it too much. He simply sat on the edge of the pond looking at the interesting sights of the underground and waiting for any kind of tug on his fishing rod. Hopefully we get a chest. Hopefully we are lucky enough to get at least one more chest. That would would be nice. So Cosi just waited for a fish to bite which would hopefully be soon. But while he waited Cosi simply looked around at the strange fungi and flora and the stalagmites and stalactites and the extra reflective lake water. It was all very different from the other open air floors.

There wasn't much else being found in this lake, and a calm silence befell the two of them. It was nice not to be constantly questioned by someone else. Perhaps one day that could become the norm. Probably not until she had met every player in the game though. Everyone wanted to question why she chose to stay silent in a game that gave her the power of speech. Some were better than others, but there was still that lingering curiosity everyone wanted to be satisfied. Giving a quiet huff of breath, Neo waited for something, anything to bite her line. The water had grown still, only rippled by the bobbing of their fishing lines. Maybe it was the calm before the storm of lot, maybe it was just that there was nothing left for them to fish in this lake. Some randomly generated sign they should call it a trip.

Fishing: ID# 108667- CD: 5- result: 1 material

When Cosi finally felt a tug on his fishing line he was a little less than upbeat when he reeled in his catch. Since I have only been catching tiny fish- or nothing- for the last like fifteen minutes. Although its felt like hours. Cosi tentatively lifted his line out of the water and hoped his catch would be bigger than then the few he had gotten. It was not. In fact the fish was diminutive. Oh my gosh!!! How?!!? How do I keep getting such small ffffffffffffiiiiiisssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh- The blonde haired player's internal scream went on for another good four minutes. Then once Cosi had recovered his calm, he removed his catch from the hook, took the one material he got, and added it to the pile with a sigh. The blonde cast out his line once more less in hopes of getting a good catch but simply because of repetition and routine.

The water remained calm, and it wasn't until felt a tug that she was actually paying attention to her line. Thankfully, the catch was still quite small and didn't tug on her line too hard. If it had been much larger, she may have ended up in the water with it. Once it was reeled in and harvested, she just tossed it over her shoulder and hoped it landed on the pile. Once that had been done, she quickly got up and sent a message towards Cosi. They had been at this for quite some time now, so there was really no point in continuing to do this with how little they had been getting recently. Better to end the trip now and instead get something more worth their time. They could probably try again at some other point, but by then Neo might be able to just grind mobs rather than try to fish for the gear she wanted to find.

Searching for Treasure Chest: ID# 108747- LD: 7+5= 12- result: nothing

Once Cosi got Neo's message he nodded his head. They had been at this for a while now and the last bit of time hadn't been too worthwhile. They hadn't caught anything really big if they had caught anything at all. So the blonde haired tank quickly reeled in his fishing pole, put it back in his inventory, and got to his feet. "Alright Neo, that was really fun- except for right at the end- and we got a fair amount of materials that way." Cosi stretched his arms and legs- he had been sitting down too long- and looked around. He kept an eye on his ring just in case it flashed but it didn't. Guess there's not any treasure chests in the vicinity, Cosi thought to him self as he began to head out of the hidden cavern. Cosi turned to his brightly haired comapnion, "Its been fun Neo. Let's definitely do something else together. I'll see you soon." Cosi gave a half wave half salute to the pink and brown haired cook.
