[F3-PP] A chance encounter <<Worn Out Welcome>>

Recommended Posts

There was several concerns having someone already on the market, but Beelii was ready to face the music of that. There was little they wold be able to do short of removing the top player of the merchant game to assert themselves at the top. Killing wasn't out of the question, but this player would undoubtedly have ways to protect themselves. That meant the three of them would have to either garner a lot of power to kill him themselves or enough money to hire a killer for them. What would be better if there was an alternative. Some indirect way to get into the merchant business. Her sister had a brilliant idea, but she couldn't tell what it was until she began speaking. As her sister spoke, she could feel some of the reasoning behind her answers and they were crystal clear to Beelii. The largest issue then would be deciding what professions the two of them could take in order to provide the best goods to the merchant himself. They would also want to have their own store front, though more expensive, in case this deal fell through.

A niche huh? Well that is how new businesses are formed find what the market is missing and than supply the market with what is missing. That means finding what the market is missing, and you have the point that interesting items would be useful though the best merchants can give is some unique enhanced items. Though there is always those quests that offer the whole one time item or items that might be a bit difficult to get ones hands on. If we can get lucky enough and grab lots of such items we can just sell them off to people which would be something a merchant couldn't do, and one like shield might be hesitant to do. Selling normal merchant goods and questing goods sounds like a interesting niche if i can get my hands on them especially if i offer to grab any that people would be interested in for themselves. The man says with idle interest as he closes his eyes as he speaks these words as they come to his mind thinking aloud more so than anything else as he continues moving forward through the forest. Glancing back towards the one in white who has spoken to him this time rather than the one in red. But that is just the idle ramblings of a man's mind thinking through various options. Do you have a exact idea besides the whole selling items at a lower cost. Though since you mention the both of you i get the idea that this diversification of items would be from whatever profession the duo of you will choose from. He questions as he than turns towards the direction of where he is hearing some kind of rustling through the grass as he equips his axe once more to prepare himself for whatever is going to come out.

As the three walked and discussed future plans, Osgii was working out possible futures. There was few that resulted in them on top, but it seemed if there was something undiscovered, there could easily be a way to find wealth in this game. That wealth was, of course, meaningless. What would be much more applicable was if they could accrue favors with players and cash them in in the real world. There was so little that would transfer over, and not much in the way of being able to track them down. As Dagger spoke more about possibilities, she listened intently. Osgii knew that her sister would be able to take the lead from here, having her way with words, so she stayed quiet for the time being. If some other complex matter arise, she would speak once more. All that was left was determining which would be more effective. providing more products of a similar kind, or creating the one-stop-shop by making as many different items as possible.

There seemed to be quite a bit to talk about, and Beelii was excited to get into more conversation with Dagger. Though she had a distaste for most other merchants, it was what the two of them knew and could capitalize upon. "Though providing items from quests or those with unique abilities is fine, you will of course need something consistent to sell. Though I'm presuming all merchants are given their own stock of goods to sell, that is where the two of us can come in. We could provide you a steady supply of items that you would be able to sell at a better price because of doing it in bulk. All we would need is the ability to get the materials to create the items and of course, a little Col for your gratitude. Though we will be able to discuss the specifics at some other time and focus on the quest at hand, we should decide upon what kind of items you wish to be sold in your shop. Though we can't promise that we won't deal with others, we can most certainly say that you would have the exclusive right to our bulk discount." She emphasized the word exclusive, knowing how many merchants went crazy when they knew they had something that no one else could get their hands on. The idea of a monopoly would be enticing, and would hopefully drive the man to an easier deal. With so many details to still work out, Beelii knew that this conversation could take quite some time.

He grins ever so slightly at the woman in red's words knowing that at the very least she is most likely the more experienced of the duo in terms of business talk in general from the fact she has spoken more along with that she seems to understand the right words to get most people's interest. However, he wasn't always the most conventional business man per say since he has to adjust business plans for a world within a game where not many things are stable by the end. Well as you said we can discuss the finer details back at my shop ma'am and while i do enjoy the end of getting a nice little tip for things that will be made by you two if that is the route that we go down, and i can understand needing to sell to customers directly for some greater profits of your own. Though if you mean in the sense of spreading out the wealth of food and such to other merchants for them to sell, even if that selling would be at a lesser amount. i think this discussion is gonna need more than a tiny bit of fleshing out finer details. He says towards the woman with a slight chuckle Dagger not looking towards Red as he says those words towards her. The green cloaked man keeps his eyes upon the path keeping his gaze around the area while the shape of a elf looking creature with a rucksack that looks rather heavy with how its slumping towards the ground appears towards the side of the trio. Dagger simply moves forward towards the enemy with his axe in hand moving as swiftly forward towards the opposition with the rather clunky item that he barely has any training with as he goes for a wide arcing swing in the direction of the enemy

No finesse or grandiose method of using the axe as the way it is swung seems more akin to a large bat more so than an axe. He watches as the axe tears through one tree only to get caught into the other stomping its momentum as he grits his teeth for a moment. The effect from the mind viewing the world as real making him feel that aftershock back into his arm from the heavy momentum slamming back into him as the dark elf in the meanwhile had missed the giant axe by a mile practically. The creature drops the rucksack and takes out a curved blade and points it towards the green cloaked man who is still wearing his nice greenish black tophat also. You attack the great thief Dirguan! You shall pay for these crimes for interfering with the transportation of materials to the kingdom! Dagger just glances back towards the twins and shrugs his shoulders as he slowly forces the axe from its stuck position. As i said. I am not a fighter by any means. This is why i wouldn't mind some body guard help while i am out gathering the materials that could be used in helping out all of our shops. A scout such as myself could find chests, materials, and other such things for our benefit. I already do have a rank in search.

Osgii let the two talk things out, and eventually watched as a Dark Elf was found lurking in the brush. She stood back with her sister as Dagger launched forward and missed with his axe. Though she knew she probably couldn't do much better, they would be able to hopefully get a hit. Going in with her dagger, she let the glow of the blade focus her vision. She ended up tripping on her heels a little though and had to retreat to stay out of reach of the elf's blade. Disappointed at her perfoamnce, she let her sister go forward to try and attack the creature. It seemed that their deal was going to be going on hold for the tiem being. Perhaps when they returned to the town they could sit down and arrange all the details they needed to. Her sister would be better at handling that, being the talker of the two.

Though the conversation was feeling productive, Beelii felt as though there was still something that needed to be settled between them. This merchant did know what they were talking about and was trying to make sure that they weren't going to sell to other merchants. "We wouldn't be able to completely contorl how our goods are used, though any other bulk orders can be questioned. At the very least, the costs of constantly buying from us should put a stsrain on their business and drain the variety that they would be able to sell." As the dark elf showed themselves, Beelii quickly finished. "We can of course finish this once we have what we need from this place." She stood back for a little bit as she watched Dagger miss with his blade. Her sister was having equal troubles, as neither of them had truly fought in this system before. They had practiced a little bit one day out of boredom, and as a way for her to try and attract the attention of a cute guy who was obsessed with swords. Charging in with her own blade after her sister, Beelii managed to strike the elf. As she felt her dagger sink into his flesh, she immediately felt something go across her chest. The elf had struck back, and put a streak of red right across her breasts. Behind her eyes grew a fire redder than the feather in her hair. He was going to pay for that.

Taking his axe into his hands once more tightening his hands around the handle of the weapon he charges forward towards the enemy getting low planning to at least try to strike while the iron is hot from somebody already having gotten some type of attack in on the creature. He swings the weapon vertically from the bottom to the top trying to bisect the creature as he would do so. However, his attack goes to waste as the creature would back away from the attack to avoid being struck again with Dagger quickly sidesteps out of the way of the two twins as he just shrugs his shoulders ever so slightly. The axe wielding merchant seeming rather content and not that bothered at having missed his target to try and deal damage again. The dark elf on the other hand would turn to look at the red clothed twin with a spiteful look within its eyes from the only one who had actually struck him as it takes its sword and is ready to strike against the multiple enemies in front of it. The rucksack of supplies lying on the ground between the two parties in question.

Embarrassed about her stumble, Osgii did her best to recover gracefully. The dark elf had gone for her sister, and struck in a poor spot to say the least. Lashing out with her own dagger, a mark of red appeared on the elf's body. Its health had to be dropping at a decent pace now, but she was unsure just how many more attacks it was going to take. The training her and her sister had received was barely enough to do anything, and it didn't seem like Dagger was faring much better. Perhaps this was going to be a test of if they could work together or not. It was certainly going to show if they could kill enough mobs to get the resources they needed.

That's the benefit of a game, we can achieve total vertical integration much more easily. The hardest part is that the limitations and personalities make horizontal integration almost impossible. Perhaps if we had a majority control though, we could force others to sell for us.

Beelii recoiled from the attack and tried lashing out with her own attack. the Dark Elf was able to step back from it, though that resulted in him taking the blade from her sister. As the Elf whirled towards her sister, Beelii quickly inspected the gash along her chest. It was definitely not as bad as she thought it was, and thankfully there was no such thing as tearing ones clothes in this game.  It was still something any sane person should never had done, fighting or not.

The Dark elf seemed maddened at his feeble attempts to take out his assailants, and was now turning to attack whoever was draining his life from him. He had swiped at the girl in red, and that seemed to tick her off enough. Once he had stepped back from her swipe, he turned to attack the girl in white, who had attacked him while backing up. His own dagger struck true and left a puncture mark in the girl's stomach. Hopefully he could actuially get some damage in and escape from everyone with his valuables in tow.

He glances at the elf before adjusting his gaze towards the bag of supplies that they were basically hired to get from the creature in the first place to be able to make the gear that he had ordered for creation to make this easier on himself in future searching. With that in mind he casually kicks it closer towards the side leading towards the main settlement before moving in towards the dark elf getting right behind the creature and grins as he notices that the elven creature hadn't noticed him moving in. Taking advantage of the opportunity he swings his axe slicing right through the back of the creature while moving past it as he quickly tries to kill his momentum by pushing against the ground, and only causes dirt to be kicked up right in front of him that would eventually slow him down swifter though as he gazes back to observe what he had done. 'Red HP bar that looks rather low. Good to know that for the future.' A slight smile as he gazes towards the twins and just gestures towards the elf as he starts to make his way towards the rucksack filled with materials planning to grab that before it could get grabbed by anything else.

The elf had stabbed her, and Osgii took it poorly. She was unfamiliar with the sensation of something penetrating her skin, not since she had gotten her ears pierced as a little girl. As the elf withdrew his dagger, she quickly went to grapple him. Her arms wrapped around his throat and she pulled him in close. This was certainly a move her sister would've done more readily, but she wasn't going to let that stop her. As soon as the elf was pulled into the embrace, she whispered in his ear. "This is what you get for trying to stab me. You're going to be right here and take the damage my sister will give to you. You'll be dead soon, so it shouldn't be hard to remember this. But when you mess with one sister -" She let her sister finish what she was going to say. This elf was going to regret trying to attack either of them.

Beelii was still angered at the Elf, but watched as her sister drew them in closer. Smirking, Beelii flipped the grip of her dagger in her hand in preparation to strike. The wind didn't carry the sound of her sister's whispers, but Beelii heard them clear as day. As soon as the moment was right, she charged in for the attack. "- You mess with them both!" Her dagger plunged into the Elf's back, and he wrenched free from Osgii's grip.

The blade had sunk deep, but not deep enough. The elf quickly lashed back out at his new attacker, completely disoriented by all the spinning he was doing. Though the man wasn't much a part of it, the two girls had been coordinating their attacks so well. His blade left a mark, but didn't seem to phase the red one. It was just him left in the center as the twins left him wide open to a final attack.

Making his way over towards the rucksack shifting the weight of the axe to be held by one arm and the back of his next which he finds to not be surprising that it is not the most comfortable position to be in from the nature of it being a two handed weapon. Getting onto one knee he picks up the rucksack and than glances back towards the fight to see how it is going as he observes the two twins having dealt with the enemy rather well with it having just barely even a visible amount of its health left. At seeing this he used the hand that is holding the rucksack to slide along the open air to open up the menu and unequips the two handed axe to free him from the over encumbering burden of the weapon as he immediately starts rolling his shoulders and moving his neck. His left hand that isn't holding the sack rubbing the back of his neck slightly as he tilts it back slightly before adjusting back to the battle with a smile on his face. 'Might view me as lazy for not doing much, but i did tell them i don't care much for the fighting only here for the rewards.'

He glances towards the twin as he takes note of the either bad sense of luck that this enemy is giving the two, or the fact that the twins seem to have some kind of pattern of what occurs or strategy for one creating an opening for the other to do some damage against an enemy. Having noticed that happen multiple times throughout the fight between the duo that is these most likely identical twins from what he can guess based on appearances, and the amount of unity, and with how similar the two can be.

The Elf was left in the open, but had nowhere for him to run. Dagger hadn't swooped in to finish the Elf off, so that meant it was up to the two of them to do it. The elf was turned towards her sister at the moment, which would give her the perfect moment to strike. The elf had been able to see those attacks coming before already though. She gave a nod to Beelii, and that's all the two needed. A dash of red came up to the elf, planting a heeled boot on top of his foot. Though he tried to flinch away from the strike, the heel had stabbed all the way through to the ground. A red-gloved hand than shot to his chest and Beelii stabbed him to kip him, up straight. Osgii was already close behind, and her white dress became a blur in the forest, only stopping when she had stabbed her dagger through his head. Completely stuck in place by blades and boots, the Elf shattered with no momentum whatsoever.

The Elf was no more, only shards of its life remained in the forest, and even those were fading quickly.  Beelii brought her heel out of the soft ground and returned to Dagger, who had retrieved the rucksack of equipment. "I suppose we should go find ourselves a place to negotiate. Once you have commissioned your item of course." Though she was in no rush to get this deal closed, she wanted to make it seem like there was more pressure. People tended to slip up more when there wasn't as much time to think. Another of the delicate balances that had to be struck by someone trying to deal their way up to the top of the world. She still had an utter distaste for her father's actions, but he had tuaght the two of them something valuable. No matter how close someone is to you, you will eventually fall victim to their greed.

Hearing the sound of something shattering and seeing the rather beautiful teamwork between the twins he can't help but grin at that and glances between the two individuals and frowns ever so slightly while their backs are turned at what could've been a beautiful research opportunity if they were twins. The effects the games would have on the psyche of another wh owas trapped here while the other would've been back in the normal world and not effected by what would be the side effects from this world. Coming back to reality when hearing someone speaking he looks towards the red clothed twin and nods towards her and gestures for the duo to start following him as he makes his way back towards the NPC blacksmiths home. I will get my shop up and running rather soon i will just go and do the earning a living after than we can discuss things at my shop if you want. After all at least than we wouldn't need to do it in a rather open place, and if you don't have your professions you can do so than also while i am doing mine. Suitable wouldn't you think? He says towards the twins while making his way towards the main settlement of Delilah to end this quest, and than to proceed to do earning a living to have a suitable location for his shop.

With the elf finally dead, it was time to get back to business. There wasn't much else for the three of them to talk about, not until there was actually items for them to make or sell. Dagger said as much as they began to make their way back towards the town on this floor. "Precisely, we will reconvene at your shop once we all have our professions selected." There was little use for them to make grand plans while unable to execute on them. That wasn't to say they would fully in power to do so once they had their professions. There would undoubtedly need a large amount of effort put into refining their crafts. And when this was all over, there would be nothing that transferred to the real world. Perhaps if they had something to show while being in this world their father wouldn't immediately try to disown them. Though that would mean finding a way to transfer the debts owed to the real world.

There wasn't much else for Beelii and her twin to do. Dagger was going to turn in the items, and that would give them any xp they were going to get for the quest.  It was a little sad that she couldn't keep playing her games with Dagger, but it was what it was. At least she could scratch her itch for once in the years doing nothing in this game. There was still the walk back to the town, but she had a feeling that would be silent for the most part. "What floor is your shop going to be on? We can find it from there." Though it wasn't a guarantee, they did have a knack for finding the out of the way shops with the best deals and merchandise. Another one of the 'gifts' bestowed by their father. Even though they were rich, they saved every bit of money that they could. If they didn't find the best deal, they got thir allowances reduced until they had learned to find a better one.

My shop will be on floor twenty one, by the hotsprings you should be able to find it fast enough. He says towards the red clothed twin with a nod towards her to answer the question while he continues to make his way towards the main settlement which he eventually arrives towards the shop where the NPC is who he hands off the bag of materials towards the man with a look of expectation. The man just nods his head and takes it to the back and after a few minutes comes back out with a cloak similar to the one that the man already wears as he takes the item into his hand and equips it swapping it out for his other cloak as he grins feeling the slight difference of having at least one slot of LD on something to make his searching even better within the future which was better than anything to be honest. With that he makes his way towards the first floor to begin acquiring his profession of choice.
