[F21-PP] The faces that hide

The three adventures was moving deeper into the cave system with the tank leading the way. Though they haven’t come to the place where Zandra found the dungeon yesterday. Suddenly she herd Hestia mention this wasn’t a literal maze. As she said that, Zandra took a closer look around them. That was when she spotted a difference in the texture on the wall. ‘’Wait. I see something here.’’ She walked up to the wall. Her hand moving across it, trying to find some kind of pattern or anything. The low light didn’t made it any easier. She had to rely close to only to her touch to find and tiny… ‘’There!’’ her hand had slipped over a fistsized area that was much flatter then the rest of the wall. She placed her hand on it and pressed.

Zandra took a few steps back as the cave started to shake. ‘’Woops, maybe that wasn’t smar…’’ she haven’t finished her sentence before the wall collapsed and showed a corridor with a dwarven theme. From deeper inside, they could hear the sound of pickaxes hammering on rocks. ‘’Well, shall we take this dungeon and save the map for later?’’

I watch as the cave start to shake as i just look towards Zandra with a rather bland look as i can only wonder if this is some kind of kill trap or something of the like that my guildmate had said he ran into to many times to count with other types of traps. However, it collapsed into something along the lines of a more..mechanical metal like build as if there is a entirely different or theme happening within this cave system. 'Did she just find another dungeon on the way to another dungeon...that's impressive.' i can only think to myself as i put away the other dungeon map saving it for later and nods towards Zandra as i make my way forward into the now dwarven like structures as i glance from one thing to the next keeping them in mind. 'Maybe there is something like a dwarven floor in the future if they have dwarven structures on this floor. I'm going to enjoy exploring this dungeon i get that feeling to explore all of its ins and outs.' Welp change of plans time to conquer a mining facility or something? I say in a unsure tone of voice as i enter into the first big area as it reveals itself to open up to that of showing a multitude of small humanoid creatures striking the ground with pickaxes in unison.

One second they were walking down the tunnels... the next Zandra had found something. Pinball whirled around to see what the girl had pointed out, surprised to find... another dungeon? Pinball raised his eyebrows, a bit confused, and looked to Hestia for guidance. He was offered no explanation. Pinball jogged ahead to match his pace with Hestia. 
"Uhh, hey," he asked, looking down at the tank he was kind of sort of taller than, "what's happening? Why are we going this way? Is this the dungeon?" Pinball was confused, and also momentarily frightened - but that faded away as soon as he remembered who he was going through the place with. Still, he was nervous, and was afraid he wouldn't be able to keep up with the other two, higher-leveled players. He felt his hand fidget in his pocket, and he gripped the spear slung over his shoulders with his other - not like he had much of a choice when it came to holding it, though. "Where are we going, Hestia?

Zandra nodded as Hestia agreed to enter the newly found dungeon. They had started their new route when she herd Pinball talking. He sounded kinda nervous. She was gonna answer when she realised he asked Hestia. Zandra speeded up her steps so she got in the lead when they exited the tunnel and they came out in a big open area. There was darf themed stonework everywhere. on one wall, pretty close to the adventuring party a team of dwarfs was striking a wall and it looked like it would be the start of another entrance. She held her axe ready as she walked up to the miners, no guards sigth. Her eyes scanned the area but she couldnt see any guards or anything, not even with her activated reveal mod.
She told her companions to be ready. "Excuse me, we just arrived here. Can someone tell us wher we ar..." She suddenly got inerrupted by one of the dwarfes let out a shout with his powerful voice."Intruders!!!" one of the dwarfes pulled a lever, probably activating some kind of advanced dwarf mecanism since suddenly a four feet thick stone wall shot out from the ground, blocking the tunnel so the adventurers party couldbt retreat. aroubd the workers a few barricades, thinner and lower the the wall behind them, shot up from the gournd.
Not far away a door opened and four dwarfs with axe and shield entered the room. Four more thru a door on the other side of the big are. Zabdra quickly darted back. "Hestia, Pinball. You ready?"

I watch as the situation quickly declines into the dwarves starting the fight in a rather loud manner as i watch them being able to move in first as i just glance towards as i just nod towards them. Keep in mind the plan you two! I say as i move forward towards the dwarves to get into position to use my AoE sword art figuring that would be for the best only to have that ruined by them getting towards me before i can charge up the attack enough or even move forward. I feel three of them strike me with their axes as it bounces against my armor as it takes most of the brunt of the damage as my familiar tackles the last one to the ground with a roar of pride before taking off away from the group. Well than! Guess i'm not attacking time to get their attention then. I call out as i raise my shield and slams the pommel of my blade against the shield as i activate howl with a grin across my face. Come on you Dwarves time for you to face someone that can actually match your strength and spit it right back at you with my quality armor. I say with a playful grin and a cheerful look in my eyes just having fun with the mechanics of the game and the small taunting habit that i am having fun with doing that i stole from Shield. 'It is just a fun way to keep things interactive and who knows maybe these dwarves will talk back against my insult.'

Grumpy dwarves? Hell yeah. He grinned. "Can't wait to knock the snot out of a couple of midgets," he cackled. Hestia called out for them to remember the plan, and when the Dwarves all collapsed against her shield, Pinball hopped once, and Charged, a wild smile on his face. He felt the wind howl momentarily in his ears as he burst forward at a blistering speed. "Woohoo!!" Pinball hopped over Hestia, using her shoulder as a launch pad (thank God her thorns didn't proc), and threw himself into the group of mobs. His spear flashed out left and right, a whirlwind of color, ice, and shadow. Then, as suddenly as he had jumped into the fray, he threw himself backwards and away from the commotion, giving his spear a small twirl. He smiled, seeing from the safe spot that was behind Hestia's shield the crumpled forms of the stunned - and in one of their cases, frozen - dwarves. He looked to Zandra, still grinning. "You're up.

The dwarfs didnt hesitated on their charge, but neither did the player party. Hestia shouted as the two others charged. She glanced to the side, Pin had chosen to take the way over Hestia rather then around. Zandra raised her eyebrows and let out a "what?". Though it wasnt seen behind her mouthguard or herd over the sound of Hestia howling. Since Pin charged the group head on, Zandra sped up, placed herself behind the heavy armoured opponents. Her axe started to talk as it cleaved thru each and everyone of them. A dark aura had surronded the axe when it hitted the second Guard. The dwarf stopped right in his prepared attack, dropped his weapon and fell dead on the ground. A few moments later the body shattered. Pinballs strike had frozen one of them, now tje ice shattered and reduced his health even more. One dwarf was also set aflame. As her attack was done, she changed to a defensive stance. Though to judge from their health, they wouldnt strike agains.

Looking towards the dwarven guard like creatures proceed to get knocked around by Zandra and Pinball i can only smile at that and chuckle a bit along with that at seeing what should be dangerous creatures just get mowed down by a spear and axe user leaving them rather close to death where even i could kill them while they're in the red. 'Welp here is to hoping i can actually hit one of these things.' I think to myself as i charge forward activating butterfly illusion as i do so as i get close to the dwarven guards who are stunned but are recovering as i quickly strike at one of them with my blade as i pass by them. Turning around i kill my momentum by pushing against the ground and move towards the remaining two as i swing my blade as one of them breaks from teh stunned effect of bullrush and stumbles back away as his companion meets his end at my blade. Looking towards the dwarven guard i look towards Pin and Zandra and gives a thumbsup. No need to go doing your strongest attack just do enough to kill him. I call over as i look around as if waiting for more to show up as i can slowly start to here of footsteps of something coming towards this location be it from alarm or the dwarves alerting more of their kind to this location.

in an impressive display of strength, the entire group of dwarves were pretty much completely decimated by Zandra and Hestia. Pinball couldn't help but feel... a bit outclassed. Still, he had helped, right? They wouldn't have taken him if he wasn't of some use, surely. Pinball shook off that feeling of discomfort and focused on the task at hand. Hestia looked over to him and ordered him to finish off the last monster; which wouldn't be terribly hard, considering the sliver of health it had left. Pinball nodded, and she told him he wouldn't need to use his highest sword art to finish them off - which was, Pinball thought, pretty obvious. He threw himself forward in a quick burst of speed, and buried his spear in its chest. The Dwarven Guard grunted, and then wordlessly shattered into bits and pieces. "Are there more?

After Hestia and Pinball had landed their attacks, the first four dwarfs was dead. This felt much easier and more fun as well compared to her dungeon run with Shield. Hestia had lost some health yes, but that would be refilled during their break. And they would probably be able to kill several dwarfs before that would be a need. Zandra glanced towards where the second squad of dwarfs had appered and saw they was almost at the groups location. She smiled at the other two. ‘’Hehe, no time to rest yet.’’ And with that she charged the shorties.

She felt the fallen energy of her axe flowing thru her body as the axe cleaved thru all of them, releasing the dark power into their body, dealing a huge extra chunk of damage. The dark power however, only flowed into two of them, the third got unharmed and the fourth bursted out into flames. ‘’Hestia, Piball, finish them off.’’

I nod towards Zandra as i rush forward with my sword in hand as i get up close with the dwarves and quickly try to lash out with my blade only to far short rather hysterically so as if to remind myself that i am not meant to be actually attacking with what i have currently. 'I should think of getting rid of heavy momentum for something else so i can actually use accuracy buffs. Though i would than need to think of something that could accurately replace what i have than.' I think to myself idly as i only see my blade cut into one of them to lower only barely a meaningful amount as i than back away as i see Pinball go in and attack the enemies not even a moment after i do so as i grin and just watch the result of his attack while i am retreating to create as much room as i can for the other two actual damage dealers of the party.

Pinball watched, surprised but not quick enough to immediately retaliate as four more Dwarven Guards emerged from the dungeon's recesses. Then, Zandra flew forward, her battleaxe flashing out and carving out heavy chunks of the Dwarven Guards' health. Pinball then turned to Hestia, hoping for some sort of guidance, but then saw her fly forward after Zandra too, her sword striking on of the Guards and further depleting their health. Pinball, by then, had a clear view of some of the Dwarves. All of them, actually. And he saw two of the monsters in particular that he could definitely take out with him. And, as time slowed and Pinball too charged forward, the ripping of his spear through the virtual mesh of the mobs' avatars was enough to prove that true. Pinball stood in the center of the group of them now, holding his spear out in a defensive stance. There were only two of them left; Pinball had finished off two.

Zandra had landed the first strike, reducing the dwarfs health quite a bit. The two other players followed up, making it so Zandra had an easy task to finish it up. She focused on the two dwarfs and activated her sword art, slicing thru them, leaving red stripes on them before they exploded. She smiled at her two companions. ‘’There, now the easy part is done.’’ She said and did a thumb up. ‘’Went pretty smooth. You landed some great hits there Pinball.’’

She turned around to the dwarfs that kept mining. She walked up to one of the barricades and leaned on it, looking at the workers. Leaving the other two alone since it looked Pinball only wanted to talk to Hestia anyway.  ’Hello. We have come here to explore. Do you have anything to tell us about this place?’’ The dwarfs didn’t reacted at all. They just kept hitting the stone with their pickaxes. So Zandra shrugged and walked back to the pair that she had left alone for a minute or two. ‘’It seemed they are just a part of the environment now.’’ She said when pointing at the dwarfs with her thumb over her shoulder. ‘’Does not react. I let out a low whistle of just pure surprise as i watch the dwarven guards get stampeded out of the way basically by the might of Pinball and Zandra together putting the four guards within a single moment of time as i just nod my head with a rather happy smile across my face at seeing that. Making my way over towards Pinball i put my hand against his back as i activate energize restoring his energy back up a significant amount for what he had lost as i look towards Zandra and just nod my head with a grin across my face. We're continuing to push forward i think we got this in the bag if you guys took out eight of them without really even feeling anything towards health or energy. Anymore that we could come across shouldn't be overly difficult really. I say toward the axe wielding healer as i than nod towards Pinball with a smile on my face. And Pinball amazing job knocking them out of the park as well i'm certain that if it was just you and a tank you could take this dungeon as well with just a group of tier twos. I say towards him to try and keep him confident since i know rather well that feeling of being rather useless in a fight in terms of helping out that being paired up with someone stronger can feel at times. With how demotivating it can be at points.

Pinball smiled nervously, first at Zandra and then at Hestia as they complimented his fighting. "Ah, well, thank you," he mumbled, blushing. It was embarrassing, especially since when they both did it it felt like they were saying that to little tard boy to make him feel happy. He shrugged, shaking his head. Zandra went ahead to check out the path, and he waited for her return, only glancing at Hestia once but not really offering much by way of conversation. The healer came back, explaining that the Dwarven Miners weren't really reacting to her prompting. Pinball leaned a little to the side to get a better view of the small figures. Were they just apart of the environment, then? Pinball wondered for a second what would happen if he poked one with his spear... 
But then he snapped back to attention when Zandra asked the group what they were going to do next. Pinball shrugged, looking at Hestia for guidance, but, finding none, turned back to Zandra. "I- I guess you pick. Whichever way we go, I don't think we're gonna have too much trouble... let's just hurry and push forward.

Zandra nodded to her companions. Hestia said they should continue forward since there didn’t seemed to be any touble for them since eight guards had fallen so quickly. Pinball also mentioned it wouldn’t be much trouble and that she should choose. He sounded a little nervous as well. She had thought a compliment would have helped, but it didn’t seemed to work that well. She guessed it would be best to take the lead then. She rested her axe on the shoulder as her feets started to move her forward. When they couldn’t see her face she let out a soundless sigh. Semme he wanted to be done with this as quick as possible. Was it so terrible to do dungeoneering with her?

As they reached the big gate at the other end of big hall she tried to push it up, but it was stuck. She tried to tackled it, but didn’t moved an millimeter. She thought for a few seconds before she took a step back. She activated her charge and most powerful sword art but not even a scratch. That was when she saw it. There was a handle on it. She covered her face with her hair as it turned red as a tomato and opened the gate with the handle.

As the gate opened a tunnel showed. ‘’I-I guess we should keep going thru this tunnl? Or what do you think?’’ she said without turning towards the Hestia and Pinball.

As Zandra would lead the team i would just nod my head rather content with that for this exploration since it would be interesting to see Zandra lead even if it is just myself and Pinball. 'I don't think i've ever seen her gunning for a leadership position like ever, but maybe that is just something that has to do with the fact that she gives herself a hardtime or something.' I think to myself remembering the promise that Zandra would one day try to explain to me why she does so with whatever long story that she supposedly has and doesn't wish to give freely for one reason or the other. As Zandra is leading Pinball and myself i would walk beside Pinball and look towards him with a rather curious look within my blue colored eyes. So than Pin you seem nervous..or at least like not focusing that much. is something wrong? I ask curiously towards him as my brows furrow ever so slightly as i ask that question tilting my head to the side ever so slightly afterwards, and once i would get my answer i would just nod my head and accept it for the meantime before focusing on what lies in front of us.

As we would arrive at the gate i would watch Zandra push against it and fail at it meaning that it wasn't the type of device that opened by push or pull. Glancing around at the surrounding structure i would go from one side of the gate to find nothing to the other side to find the handle and go to make a comment about it having found it after Zandra's charge attack only to see her pull at it as i chuckle softly unable to help the small laugh that escapes from my lips since it was funny. A powerful frontline fighter and one of the best players in the game almost being trumped by a simple gate. yeah let's keep going Zandra if they are protecting something with a handle and a gate it might be more worthwhile than the other tunnel for all we know plus if it isn't all we lose is a tinny bit of time.

Pinball met Hestia's gaze, if only for a moment; blue eyes on blue. He turned away, shaking his head. "N-nah," he almost mumbled, "I'm fine. I'm alright." He looked up to her. 
"W-why do you ask?" Pinball hefted his spear, leaning it up against his shoulder, and then changing his mind and held it across both his shoulders with both of his hands. He watched as Zandra threw herself into the gate and snorted - and then quickly looked away, almost humming to himself as he realized how rude that must have been. He glanced first at Hestia, and then Zandra, and shrugged. "I'm, uhh..." He twirled his spear and planted the butt of it into the stone floor with a firm smack. He pulled himself up straight and into a salute. "At your command, sir!" He slouched again. "I'm- I'm following your lead," he explained, his tone taking on its more tired tone, though there was a hint of amusement in it.

Zandra herd both of them letting out small sounds that made her cheeks burn hotter. She was still looking forward so at least they haven’t seen face that now had a matching color with her crimson eyes. Both of them agreed to move forward and follow her lead. This wasn’t something unfamiliar to her, she had led hundreds of players at the same time in real life games. But she had never really done that in this death game. At the start, she was to low level to lead, but now she couldn’t blame on that anymore. Then Ariel happened, that was why she couldn’t do it, and other people was more experienced form boss fights as well. Though that had changed. Several players had started to put their trust on her and not seeing her as something disgusting filthy piece of [censored]. She couldn’t let these two players down now, her first time to show what she was capable off, and what she planned to do as well. ‘’Forward it is then.’’ She said with a steady voice, her face was still red but that wasn’t herd in her voice. Then walked thru the tunnel made of dwarven architecture, everything was totally straight, things only dwarfs could be able to do. Red torched lit on the walls as she passed them, giving enough light to see where they was wlkaing, but not much more. They walked for at least 300meters when they herd some more mineworking. ‘’I hear something, be careful and on your guard.’’ She said to Hetia and Pinball as she took a steady grip of her axe and slowed down to be able to react quicker.

I would follow Zandra through the dwarven mines or maybe a city is what this could be leading towards and this is just one of the many zones where they are preparing to expand out towards from their city center. I would glance at the rather realistic looking architecture of the game as i would stare at what could maybe be brass, bronze? Some kind of weird metal at the very least creating all of the supports and structures that kept things from collapsing in on itself as i would see the torch lit cavern walls and smile a bit at the entire atmosphere of this place seemingly rather perfect. Just the nice quietness of everything with the occasional sound of something hitting stone of the dwarves digging away at everything within this passageway as that is quickly replaced once more with the sound of something approaching as i just raise my shield and get ready to bash my way through these problems. Not really all that terrified of what these enemies can do since it has been proven already that Zandra and Pinball can easily tear through at least the initial guard. Well if something is coming than it is time to just knock them down like a set of bowling pins. I say in a joking tone of voice towards the axe wielding healer and the scorpion fighter.
