Elves and Treants. This was an overwhelming amount of fantasy, even while trapped in a video game. And it wasn't just the people...She'd seen maids, psycho children and people living in a delusion that they called reality. It had always annoyed her, but the quest she'd been eyeing to do had to top the cake. It wasn't just the fact it was elves and trees going to war, it was just...

She couldn't not amuse her the more she thought about it. She sat near the home base on the third floor, near the start of the quest line. Ever since the disaster that had been Domarus, she'd found herself a little more nervous than usual. She hated it, but it was there. So she'd done what caused the entire disaster, and put an open message requesting someone to join her in the quest line to wupe out the Treants.

"Shame there isn't any fire in this game, would be amazing to burn the damn trees down like back home" The girl muttered to herself and her familiar, the hawk which made home on the shoulder of her heavy armour.

(Note to self: level 35, using Demonic Rapier)

Neo had been wandering about her shop to and fro trying to fill out an order for people. She seemed to actually have a constant stream of them now, and it was nice to be seeing people who were actually interesting in buying her goods. Though that was fine and all, she really needed to get out a bit more. So what she decided to do was find time to head out to another floor to possibly do some questing, maybe provide aid in another manner. Finding herself on the third floor, Neo quickly read the open requests. It seemed that there was another player that was currently working on one of the rivalry quests. Doubting she could get anything useful out of it, Neo still decided to go in case there was a little bit of experience points available to her still. She was quite overleveled now, but that shouldn't make too much of a difference.

As she made her way towards the start of the quest, Neo saw a red haired girl. Though she was suspicious of it, she decided not to worry about it too much. They may be the killer's accomplice, but she could get confirmation once she saw the look in their eyes in the heat of a fight. That's what would tell her if they truly were the killer. Opening her parasol and placing it over her shoulder, she waved to the girl. The blade hiding inside the shaft of her accessory was begging to be drawn and used to slice open the girls throat, but Neo resisted it. It was nice to have such a powerful item within her grasp, but it was still hard for her to control it.

Embers let out a deep breath as the animal on her shoulder, her White-Tailed Hawk Familiar looked around with its beady eyes. When Embers wasn't focusing, the bird was. Paying attention to her surrounding as it spotted Neo walking towards her. The bird pecked the girl on the shoulder, and Embers, in anger, growled at the bird. What the hell was Rowans problem!? As her growling subsided, she followed her birds eyes to a girl who was...waving at her? Embers rolled her eyes at her bird before standing up and marching towards the other girl.

Embers was wearing her combat wear, heavy black armour and a large Scythe on her back as she grinned, her eyes full on fire. A fire that looked out of control, and yet, refined. A rage that could be controlled, a rage and hatred that had seen much violence, and yet, would lack the eyes of a true killer.

"Oi! You lookin' for me eh? Rivalry quest line right? Names Embers" The girls eyes quickly took in the person before her, and smirked. She looked somewhat capable "You ready to go eh?"

As Neo was greeted by the player, she couldn't help but notice that they seemed to have some unbridled anger hidden behind their eyes. Perhaps it was a traumatic past like her own, or maybe something else entirely. Still, it was something Neo didn't want to mess with. She decided to just give a smiling nod towards the girl to let her know that she was indeed here for the quest. Once they gave their own name, Neo sent a party request as a way of giving hers. It also made sure that they would be able to stick together in case things somehow went south. Not that she thought that would happen, but it was certainly a possibility. Her blade was tugging her to just end the anger the girl was hiding, but Neo knew that she could keep it in check. At least for now. She hadn't done anything she had regretted too much, just a few hurt feelings so far. It was only a matter of time before she slipped up though. She would need to get control of it and fast.

Ember frowned as the other girl didn't say a single word to her, singe opted to nod and send her a...party invite? The hell was this girl on about, why wasn't she talking back? A wave of rage washes through her as the thought maybe the other girl didn't think she was worth talking to, before almost instantly calming herself. What a stupid notion that'll be. Accepting the party invite, Embers spotted the name

Neopo...Embers shook her head. Wayyyy too long of a name for her to care, she picked out a part of it she'd use. Neo was an option, the easiest one for sure. She'd come up with a better nickname as they went "Let's get going then Neo. No sure why you ain't speaking, but as long as you get the job done. I honestly could have a psycho urge to murder people, as long as you don't try nothing on me, we'll be good"

Grinning widely with the fires only growing in the girls eye, she stood up properly. 6 feet of power, donned in black armour. Grabbing the Scythe from her back, she gestured towards the forest with excitement  "Lets move Neo, i really wanna get my Scythe into these trees"

Neo listened as the two prepared to head off into the woods. At the mention of possibly taking someone out, her blade grew stronger in some attempt to acknowledge what it wanted to do. Neo just gave it a quick eye roll and followed the girl into the woods. She was a lot taller than Neo, though height mattered quite little in a game where the blade against their armor determined how powerful you were. It seemed as though the anger Embers had was also matched by how intimidating her gear was meant to be. Neo didn't feel as though it spoke to the actual power of her equipment though. Odds were it was just some run of the mill quality gear from someone like Macradon.

Looks like it'll be just fine at cutting down trees. If only I had something to help a bit more. Not that I think these trees would actually have a weakness to scythes anyways.

Not a single damn world came out of this girl! Not a hi, not nothing! The hell was her problem! While she didn't care, it still annoyed her to the point where part of her wanted to beat this girls face in to get her to start talking! That would get a responce out of her surely! Embers found her hand clentched into a fist, before she forced herself to let it go. Just because she wasn't speaking, didn't mean this quest wasn't going to be a walk in the park for her.

They were starting to get deeper into the forest, and Embers suddenly paused. A grin erupted onto her face, a very violent grin as she gripped her Scythe and took a deep breath in "You smell that Neo? It smells like an ambush, finally those damn trees realized that we're here...Took 'em wayyy too long!" Embers shot off, back the way they'd came right as two tree-trunk arms slammed into where the girl had been barely a moment before as three Treants attacked! The third brought its arm down hard on Embers, who raised her Scythe and 'caught' the blow with a loud yell.

"Oh you stupid, thick morons! You think you can ambush me?! I am a god-damned preditor, the alpha wolf! And i'm going to tear you apart!" The girl pushed back against the tree's arm, and swung her Scythe into it with recklessness. Thankfully, each strike of her sword art connected and parts of the Treants bark flew off of it.

((OOC: I give permission for you to attack Neo if you would like to. I won't kill in retaliation unless you intend to attempt killing me))

Thankfully, the girl seemed to let the quest take precedent over whatever was irking her. As the two were quickly set upon by a trio of treants, Neo didn't even bother going into stealth before leaping into the fight. Her sword was quickly brought out of its hiding place within her parasol. As Neo prepared to attack, she could feel a dark energy pulsing throughout her. With a bit of a smirk, she dashed at one of the treants, pulverizing it with four quick thrusts into each of its limbs. It slowly shriveled up until it was only a fossil of its former self. She kicked it over and it crumpled to ash, not even breaking into the pixels like most dead mobs did. Perhaps this weapon held too many similarities with its previous owner, at least more than Neo would've liked. As the dust dissipated, Neo almost felt like a voice was speaking within her mind.

That was a rather weak enemy, why don't you give us a bit more of a challenge.

The damn Treants had dared to Ambush her?! Rage flooded through the girl as she pulled the Scythe behind her back, and grinned darkly. She heard the other girl, Neo, dealing with one of the Treants right as the one she was against took a swing at her, but the girl was too quick. Leaping forwards, she spun her Scythe in her hand and slashed the Treant up with her weapon.

Leaping off the Treant, it exploded into particles as the girl landed on the ground, only for the treant behind her to take a swing at her! The girl, once again, raised her Scythe and 'caught' the attack, letting out a loud laugh as she did. Was this stupid creature really thinking it could kill her! HER!

"Ohh come on you Stupid Tree! You honestly think you can Hurt me?! You want to stand against me, the Hell-Storm itself?!"

As the girl yelled, there was a bird that landed on her shoulder, and peaked at her neck. Embers spun around, looking at the familiar, and for merely a second, her face softened, before returning to rage in battle.

Neo didn't have the time to address the voice that had just popped into her head, and instead turned towards the treant that was left standing. Embers had just reflected an attack with her giant scythe, and that was the perfect moment for Neo to strike. Without waiting for the Treant to even realize it had someone behind her, Neo let oloose four thrusts into its trunk. Each strike was punctuated with a column of darkness erupting from the hole she created. The darkness seemed to leech at the monsters life until it too shriveled into nothingness. No shatter.

Neo turned towards Embers, blade sheathed once more inside of her parasol, which seemed to be absorbing some of the light around it now as well. The voice was gone, but it had gotten its point across. Those enemies were quite easy for her, no point in really taking their time on them.

Embers let out a slow whistle as she watched Neo easily dispatch of the last Treant, hell the other girl knew how to use the opening she'd created. It was pleasing to know she was fighting alongside someone who knew what they were doing! Resting her Scythe on her shoulders, she turned to the other girl, although that's when she noticed it. The Rapier seemed to...be stealing the light? She knew people liked their weapons to be unique, but to steal light? What sorta blacksmith made that?

"What's up with that Rapier huh? The ligh...!" Before the girl could finish her sentence however, she moved. She wasn't sure why she had felt it, but she had. Her instincts had screamed at her to move, however she wasn't quick enough, her large size meant that two of the Treants vines managed to cras against her black armour, and one ever sliced across her face. The girl turned to face the Treant that had caught her across the face, and a sickening grin emerged.

"...Now that was just f*cking rude, and for that, i'm gunna ensure your entire village burns to hell!" The girl threw herself into the Treants, and forced each to take a step back away from her as her Scythe smashed into one of them, over and over.

The girl seemed curious about Neo's weapon, and rightfully so. It was quite a stark contrast in comparison to the rest of her usually colorful outfits. The only thing that matched the rapier was her parasol, which she knew was being turned that dark by the rapier itself. As Neo was about toi open up a message to start sending to Embers, she noticed the treants lumbering behind her. Quickly activating her hide skill to duck away from the incoming fight, Neo decided to make her way around the back. Hopefully once she jumped out, another of the treants would fall to her blade. This was on a lower floor for certain, and that was making life rather easy for the two of them.

Perhaps a better challenge is in order. Bring them to their knees with pain. They have no right to be living when they are this weak. Do not even grace them with the life they have squandered.

Embers felt as if her blood itself was on fire, a rage burning throughout her entire body as she stared at the Treant that had dare stand before her! She knew, could smell the other two. But she was confident in her partners ability, given what she'd seen of her. The grip on her Scythe tightened, her armoured hands tightening more and more around the metal shaft that was the heart of her weapon. She couldn't not have it flow through her, after all, an ambush was the sign of a coward. And how DARE they stand before her, the hellstorm itself.

"Come on then, i dare you...make my damn day and hit me!" The girl yelled loudly, confidently as the Treants seemed to hesitate, and someone could notice they seemed to be silently communicating. However, Embers lacked that foresight so deep in combat and instead, relied on her instincts as all three Treants were right for her! She managed to dodge the first, and her Scythe deflected the blow of the second with ease! Seeing an opening, Embers charged forwards only for the third and final Treant's arm to catch her, and fling the girl into another nearby tree.

Standing up, Embers let out an animalistic growl one would expect from a very angry wolf "Just let me kill you already, you useless trees!"

There was still more treants to deal with and Embers seemed to be flying into quite the rage now. It wasn't all that bad, it did mean she was doing quite a bit of damage. Hopefully though, Neo would be able to ifnish things off more quickly with the treants focused on her. Her blade flashed black once more as she swung it out at the enemeis in front of her. THough this one shattered like normal monsters did, it didn't stand a chance against the power of her blade. It seemed that there really was little resistance being given right now.

Attack the girl, she would be more of a challenge.

Even if I wanted to, it would be safe for her to get whittled down by these enemies. At the very least tire her out. Why am I even considering that?

Why wouldn't you want to consider it?

Rage flowed through Embers like a drug, making the world just that much better. A fight, sure she normally didn't carry a Scythe around in the real world, but there were exceptions to everything in this game. Like how there were gIANT God-damn trees trying to tear her apart! Although...crazier things had happened in the real world.

The hawk landed on her shoulder, and Embers let out a growl "Oh so NOW you come back Rowan...One of these days i'm gunna ski...!" The girl was slammed into by one of the treants arms, and moments later, the second connected, throwing the large girl onto the ground, her Scythe landing a single step away from her. Slowly, ever so slowly, the girl stood up, and glanced up at the treants through her red hair, her crimsons eyes alive with rage and murderious intent. Having too much of a drug can be bad, and Embers had just overdosed on sheer rage.

Picking up her Scythe from the ground, Embers didn't bother to carry it properly, holding the weapon by its handle and getting the blade drag through the grass. The air around her seemed to retreat as her rage could almost be smelt. She smirked a violent smirked, and would wait....The first thing to touch her would die.

Seeing the trees starting to get some hits against Embers, Neo decided it would be beset to start taking things up a little bit. Quickly springing from the other side of the field that she was on, Neo jumped onto Embers shoulders. Not wasting a moment there, she quickly used it as a launching pad in order to fly from above the treant and land a downward pointing thrust straight down its length. It didn't stand a chance. Shattering into a million tiny red shards, Neo stood there glaring at the last treant. If it ran, that meant they would know where to go for the next group. If they killed it now, at lest that was one less treant to deal with. All that was likely going to be decided by embers. All she had to do was land an attack and it would likely go down in that one final blow.

The world was nothing more than specs of red to Embers crimson eyes as she eyed up the last Treant that dared stand before her...her! The hellstorm itself, ohhhh how she could love to hear it scream in pain as she sunk her Scythe into it! The monster seemed to understand, as it made no attempt to flee, but rather, charged forwards right at Embers!

The girl smirked, a dark vicious smile as her hands tightened its grip on the Scythe, and a loud battle cry roared from her throat. In those few seconds, the girl's large body moved with lightning speed and she threw herself, full force, at the Treant. Just in front of her was a bird, a Hawk, as if directing the girl who was blind-drink on rage. The treant swung one of its arms, but the girl ducked her head and her Scythe landed on its target, right in the heart of the monster!

"Just die you mongrel! You were barely worth the effort of raisign my damn Scythe!" The girl almost screamed it as she pulled her Scythe out through the heart of the Treant, tearing it into two as she landed on the ground, Scythe returning to her single hand as it exploded behind her. Slowly, the girls eyes turned onto Neo, the blood haze in full effect as she licked her lips. It wouldn't take a genius to know violence was the only thing on the red-haired girls mind.
