[F5-PP] Raging storm

Recommended Posts

With a small sigh he steps onto the fifth floor and more importantly into the blistering heat of this floor that seemingly even pierces through much of the survival skill that is meant to help deal with the more insufferable floors like four was. With his liger at his side and also the pink haired player known as Neo he just nods towards her with a very short and curt nod. So than we have to find wherever this sand dragon thing is meant to be. Hmm..supposedly it had something to do with summoning a sandstorm so if we want to find it all we seemingly need to do is find the sandstorm that it can generate. The katana using male says thinking out loud before moving towards a direction of where the quest mob has supposedly been sighted for its spawn point numerous times by other people that have either done the quest and completed it or ran away from the mob in question. Which he can only assume is reserved for the arrogant or the information brokers who only explore beyond the town seemingly when their is info to be gained at a floor's initial release.

Neo walked onto the heat wave that was called floor five and very quickly switched out of any of the wintry coverings she had had from the fourth floor. Thry were not needed here. Her little dragon Roman seemed to be suffering a bit as well from all of this heat, as even his scales were starting to warm up a bit. She looked and saw that there was no sandstorm in sight currently, but she was also looking to the dunes themselves to make sure that there wasn't any other of the bosses that occupied these sands lurking about. It would not be the first time she had been caught off guard by one of them showing up. Even when you were searching for the creatures, there was always that factor of surprise that they held within them. There was no real way to sneak up on them either. At least, that was what she had gathered. Perhaps there were some that it was possible to do that with, but who knows if there was a guaranteed way to get that done in a small time frame. Looking towards the horizon, she nodded to Mars and began to venture out in search of the sandstorm that the creature could generate.

Making his way through the sandy town that is the fifth floor with hands within his pocket he exits through the only exit with a frown at what is a weird layout for the town as a whole of what is seemingly a main settlement. Usually the entrances and exits being a lot more grand, or just having multiple exits as well because of the nature of how towns are usually built unless a very military like base probably during medieval times for the use of funneling the enemy troops. So than Neo. What is the current news of the frontlines? Any information about anything like the raids be it the next one to fight, or such? He asks the female player casting a glance and phrasing his words in a not so subtle manner without just outright asking her what he really wants with this information. The katana using fighter just having a slight grin as he asks as his mind goes through the possible options of what he can do with that info.

((putting this before the first meeting FYI))

The two were trying to find their way towards the dragon and its sandstorm. SHe knew that they had just started looking, but still she was anxious to find it. The faster they found it the sooner it was dead, and they more than likely had quite a few more of these to take down. She wasn't worried about difficulty just yet, though she may want to start drinking some damage potions sooner than later. That would likely be the best idea for her to go with. Hearing Mars's request about info on the front lines, Neo just shook her head. There was no news yet, though she started to type up a message with some more specifics. Sending it off, she steered them away from some dunes that looked like where the sand shark resided.

TO: Mars

Nothing yet, though I'm expecting a meeting to get called soon. The labyrinth guardian is already down, wth some disarray of course. Not entirely sure what's going on, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone snapped at the meeting that gets called.

Following alongside the girl he sees her steering clear from somewhere as he glances and just sees some piles of sand and with a shrug just follows her since she seemingly can recognize one place from the next in this endless abyss that looks all the same time him. Just sand, rocky mountains, some skeletal formations of creatures long dried up. Hearing the small message he reads through the content and raises an eyebrow at what he reads specifically as he glances towards the side to the girl with a questioning gaze. What do you mean you expect some kind of fight to occur? Did something occur among the big wigs up their? He asks saying ever so slightly in a sarcastic manner "big wigs" as he gazes towards the player in question with his hand gently resting upon the handle of his katana. He than looks away from Neopolitan to gaze around the area trying to spot the formation of a sandstorm that doesn't belong to the beast that could be from that one quest. 'Bloodstained lands was it? Or Butcher. That was it. butcher of the sands. These names are all to similar' he thinks to himself.

Mars certainly didn't seem all too surprised about the possibility of the fight occurring, though she just nodded to his question about something happening. There was some sort of tension between the players when she had gone to fight the labyrinth guardian. Nothing that she could really suss out though because the others had left before even 10 seconds had passed. Perhaps she would be able to figure it out once she had gone to the meeting that would be called. he had a feeling now that she wasn't just the raid cook she would be getting an invite sooner than later. When Mars asked about what the quest was in the distance Neo just shrugged. She had been to this floor so many times she could barely tell the quests apart. Hopefully this would be the last trip she had to take up here. There was too many things on this floor, better to go to somewhere else where it wasn't so blisteringly hot.

He watches as a sandstorm suddenly swarms around the duo of players as he just nods his head as the battle apparently begins to fight the dragon. That or the butcher of the sands has summoned itself into this location as he gazes around the desert and waits patiently for the creature to show itself. Which quickly does appear as the brown smooth skin looking draconic hatchling creature comes out of the sand. Making his way towards the hatchling he brings his blade down and quickly starts cutting into the creature as what he would expect to just burst into red crystals instead just slithers right underneath him and burrows underneath the sand and than reappearing later on the other side of him.  Okay. You're a bit more sturdy that is all. He says calmly and confidently to himself as he looks at the small creature.

Neo noted the sandstorm whipping up suddenly around them and figured that the fight had begun. As she knew it was a monstrous creature that they were facing, she went ahead and pulled out her weapon so as to be ready. Mars went in for his attack and knocked the creature down into the yellow. Neo quickly followed up with a procession of thrusts to try and take out the creature. She thought she had it, but there was the tinieset slivers of health left over when she felt the last of her sword art leaving her. With a glance towards Mars that she wasn't sure he could see in this sand, she hoped he would realize he should be the one to get that final blow in. It would be plenty enough to kill the creature and stop this little sandstorm. They were getting more sturdy, but still not enough to frighten Neo.

Looking towards the draconic creature i once more get within range of the small hatchling with my sword in hand as i quickly cut into the creature with a singular strike from the strongest sword art that i have as it bursts after just a singular swing. The rest of the sword art just burning out after that from not having a actual target to hit anymore. Sheathing my blade i turn towards Neo and gives a very short nod towards her since the quest is now done once more after only a short little skirmish to even prove that the creature was in this area for who knows how long really. Well that is halfway through now so that is progress at the very least. So than neo. I guess that means we're moving onto the jungle floor next. I can only imagine this one could have maybe a stealth ability to it? Or just higher evasion possibly. He says out loud with some idle thought of what will be awaiting the duo.

With the dragon hatchling down, Neo just sheathed her weapon smoothly within her parasol. What little cover it did give was still appreciated, though the heat of this floor just radiated from every which way. As soon as Mars mentioned that the sixth floor was next, Neo's grip on her parasol tightened and her knuckles turned white. Her face drained a little bit as she realized just what that meant. She severely hoped that it would be her last time there, but she didn't want to have to face that floor again. Every time she had gone there it had been pain and suffering. A never ending loop of fear of her past. Realizing that she was probably being too showing in front of someone she had no idea whether or not they would use this fear against her, she quickly did her best to recover from that shock. hoping that Mars wouldn't notice.

Glancing towards Neo he spots that their is something up with her when he mentioned the six floor, but even if that is the case they'll probably be far away from what actually bothers the pink haired user that it shouldn't affect the mission and thus not that worthwhile to talk about. If it comes up that is when he'll do something about it and not a moment sooner just like he had dealt with Pinball's little issues that popped up now and again. 'Though..that did lead to him developing some kind of mental illness on top of him basically acting like a robot more so than anything else.' He thinks to himself at the small flaw in his plan if he would leave the rapier using girl to her own devices if this could develop into another murder within Aincrad if she starts to show similar signs to what Pinball started having. With a shrug he remains silent for the moment as he plays the waiting game to see what will break first. Whatever issue Neo has with the floor, or her sanity.

Thankfully, it seemed as though Mars wasn't that interested in her backstory. It was honestly a relief. So many people were constantly questioning her because she was mute in a game that gave her the option to speak. It was her own choice and most people just couldn't quite understand that. But then again, they weren't the ones that had had to exist in her own little world before this game. It felt that isolated even though she had the choice to leave it behind and possibly make a name for herself. Instead she let her have all the glory. But, that was a different world and she needed to let that be. There was no point in dwelling on her past anymore than she had. That was what got her in this situation in the first place and she wanted out of it. Looking forward, she started to forge her way towards the main town. Hopefully Mars would match her walking there, but she just needed to pave her way through this next dragon hatchling without giving it a chance to do any funny business with her.

Making his way through the sandy dunes of the fifth floor through the same rocky formations and dunes that try to differentiate or make this floor more interesting than what it is actually worth. Though there does come the question of how he will be able to acquire as much experience as he can in a short amount of time to try and burst his way towards tier three in time for whatever floor boss this is going to be. Not willing to allow himself to fall behind in terms of the damage he could do against whatever will be there for that, and that is also assuming quite a lot in terms of being invited towards whatever meeting that is going to happen. 'Which means i will need to maybe talk to a few other frontliners if i can find a way to get into contact with them.' He thinks to himself knowing that relying solely on Neo for that might not be his best move since in the future there might be situations where she might not show up for a meeting nd thus he would be left out of the loop of information.

Neo was making her way back towards the town with Mars. Hopefully she wouldn't have to get too worried about the floor that was coming and would be able to make her way back from it without further incident. There was a terrible track record preceding her on that floor and she really didn't want to continue it. She had been staying away from it out of fear, but there was no telling what she would face once she had returned to it. For all she knew the dragon hatchling that was there would also be having her face her worst memories. But that was of course assuming that the sixth floor was even the culprit of this. Maybe it was just Kayaba's sick game that he wanted to play with the players. Some further twisted form of control that he wanted to have over the people he had trapped in his little world. IT was a sick and twisted way of doing it, but it drove the point home that they were all his little play toys in this little world of his.

So than Neo what is your plan with what you want to do in this world? What kind of goal are you trying to strive for besides getting free from this world? He asks the pink haired girl as he casts her a side glance with just a idle curiosity being within his eyes as he says those words before looking back forward towards the destination as the form of the main settlement slowly comes into view. The settlement of Fortaleza coming into view with everything that is included wall and the fortress like appearance to it all from the fact that it would be fitting to call it such if there was an opposing force trying to conquer it besides just the biting sandstorms that are rather annoying to deal with. I can't wait to get off of this floor the sand is very much so not wanted or needed. There isn't much to do on this floor as well making it just a waste of data and processing power seemingly unless there is more to this than what has been told.

Neo just shrugged at the question that Mars had posed to her. This place had turned into her life. A life where it was basically her job to try and clear floors. There wasn't really a reason for her to go home personally, except maybe see Haz for real and get married for real in their own world. But it was really just something for her to do. And if she died, so be it, at least she had found something to be useful for. There was little else for her to be here for though. She came out of her little mental slump as Mars commented about the sand and thought how it was course and rough, and it got everywhere, but it wasn't too bad. At least she found it better than floor 4. THat frigid wasteland was just asking to cause players to think this game had a way of giving them actual hypothermia. As unlikely as that was, she always felt like people were constantly thinking it was for real. She couldn't blame them, all these effects were so realistic it was hard to believe they were fake. But for every drop of realism, there is that small tear or bit of fantasy that reminds you, this isn't your real world.

Making his way through the sands of the fifth floor he makes his way towards the destination of the main settlement alongside the rapier using girl he can only wonder what to do to try and improve his odds on teh frontlines since while he can agree that doing the no mit build thing would be amusing to test. He needs to prepare himself and accurately and promptly prepare for the worst case scenarios which involve also seeing if he can prove his point that as long as you have enough evasion you can out dodge the damage that would be thrown towards you. 'Tanks have always seemed so unnecessary and just wastes of damage outputs.' He thinks to himself idly while making his way through the sand at a steady pace his liger traveling alongside him. 'I'll also need to craft some perfect potions for myself and pin to guarantee our damage outputs are as high as they can be.' A small smile at that when it comes to the time for pin and himself to leave that boss room.

Neo looked over towards mars, who seemed to be deep in his own thoughts. Suited him well, but did make for a rather boring trip back towards the main settlement. It seemed they were both pre-occupied with things other than this quest line. Of course, that was bound to happen when they were breezing through the quests themselves. Perhaps they'd be able to continue to do so, or perhaps the quest-line would throw a curve-ball at them. It was uncertain which it would be, but she knew she'd have to be ready. If the next drake wasn't hard enough, she would have a hard time keeping herself distracted from the horrors that that floor brought. It seemed every time she went there it wanted to dig into her head and her past. But hopefully not this time. This time she would try to not let it get inside her own mind. Enough things do that to her on the daily now, she didn't have room for another person wanting controlling interest of her actions.

Looking towards the pink haired girl he looks back upon the path as they enter into the main settlement of Fortaleza as he makes his way towards the teleport gate. As he wonders if his sanity will survive this questline. 'It'd be more doable with Pinball for certain. Eccentric and rather lazy at times yes, but the chaos variable that he provides is amusing enough. Also, helps that i don't care for him to do something suicidal so being able to bring him along would prevent him from doing something overly stupid like fighting a quest while close to passing out.' He thinks calmly to himself remembering the state that he found Pinball when he had been going to just train on floor nine and found the spear using fighter. About to pass out on the floor that would be the leading cause of some kind of heatstroke most likely against any player that wanted to make that their home floor or base of operations. 'Would do wonders though for a nice PK base.'

The two had made it back to the main settlement now, and they were about to make their way to the sixth floor. It was going to be the time that she would make it there and not be stunned by its existence. She would face it bravely. Or at the very least, that was what she hoped would happen. There was no telling what that dragon could bring. With that floor, she could never be too cautious. But at the very least, it should be a quick trip considering the power that the two of them brought to the table. And then she would hopefully never have to go back to that floor ever again. She could head to the seventh floor after that and not worry about a thing as she would be on her own home floor, quite literally. The mountain home was a really nice place to be. And maybe she could even stop by her slime farm and use it before they left that floor behind in their dragon slaying ways.
