[F21-PP] Faster than the strongest <<Hidden Village>>

Recommended Posts

Stepping upon the floor the katana wielding mars makes his way off of the teleport pad alongside his familiar as he quickly makes his way towards the supposed start of this quest. Mars quickly taking out two more damage potions of rare quality and passes one towards his rival and downs the other for himself taking the quick damage buff to himself to prepare himself for the fight ahead. Glancing towards his rival he nods his head with a small grin. So supposedly this quest is one of the harder ones that have been out for awhile to the point where i hear that it has been just battles of attrition towards the teams that have been doing them is what the rumors say. Though i guess it is only time to see if those are just rumors or will just be rolling right through this quest unlike whoever did this before us. He says towards the spear user as the duo quickly exit the town that is the main settlement being rather careful to avoid the guards, and also having to hide swiftly upon entry since the teleport gates are in a rather open place and probably has quite a few guards ready to arrest any stray players.

Pinball followed Mars off the teleporter and into the city. They had to be quick and silent, since they decided they didn't want to walk there. Pinball ducked into an alley with Mars, peeking his head around the other corner to check that they weren't being followed. Pinball turned his gaze to his companion, a bit confused. "You know, you didn't have to like... hide with me. I could of met you outside of the city or somethin'." He took a deep breath, and pushed down the alley. They could escape into the mines, and then come out into the rest of the floor after that. They just had to get past the guards first.

Hidden Village? Pinball hadn't heard of this quest. If it had to do with Searching, he didn't think Mars nor himself were going to do too hot on it. Their builds were focused on killing things And by God, they did it well. He kept a move on. His buffs had worn off, so he glanced at Mars as he hurriedly walked through the city. "I'm gonna stop to eat before we go do... whatever we're doing here. Where are we going again?

A small grin crosses the face of the black haired sword using man as a look appears in his eyes as one that speaks of knowing something that the one he is looking at doesn't comes across his face when referring to not having to hide. When gazing back forward he just follows Pinball's lead unlike the other way around that it usually is as he waits till they are out of the city to continue speaking further with his rival. Let's just call this hiding my practice for when i pick up stealth as a skill. Also, we're going in the direction of where i have heard the hidden village actually spawns so that we can do the quest that occurs along the way. I've heard that the bat enemy spawns are meant to be some kind of pinnacle of difficulty. Supposedly even more so than the other quest on this floor that is a war of attrition for the most part. If we can do this quest Pinball it confirms that we can handle the frontlines with no issue i would think if they had issues with this and we could just solo it. He says speaking with the usual confidence the katana wielding man has towards basically anything that he has a preference towards.

"A pinnacle of difficulty, huh?" Pinball yawned as they sped across the city, eventually ducking into the mines and passing sodden and weary looking workers. He hadn't heard about this quest at all, but he guessed that's just what happens when you cut yourself off from people, get arrested, and then cut off even more others. He glanced at Mars. "Did you know that I got arrested for a couple of weeks?

Pinball skimmed his inventory. If this was tough, they were going to need the buffs he was carrying again (thanks Neo). He pulled out a set of two, handing Mars his share and then devouring his own in an instant. He tore into the food he normally would hate with a weird gusto. He didn't get flavors like this in the wild, after all! Everything he hunted, he seasoned, but there was a difference between game and foods like these! Between mouthfuls, he slowed and let Mars lead the way. He should know where to go from here, right? "Lemme know when it's coming up," Pinball said with a mouth full of food.

He just nods his head towards Pinball when asked about the quests with a small grin on his face while guiding the duo in the right direction for the quest the direction leading them out of teh main settlement and towards one cave path that leads downwards in a winding path. Which also includes taking some side paths that are slightly obscured through foliage. Supposedly pinnacles of difficulty. Supposedly has taken the first two groups quite a bit of time to complete the quest and both groups were comprised entirely of frontliners. His words being sure to put certain emphasis through a slight shift in his tone of voice when saying difficulty, and pinnacles. Speaking with a certain tone of doubt.  When hearing about the imprisonment he just nods his head towards the spear user. Yes i did. Hard not to hear how a black haired player with a spear gets arrested during a big event for players. Couldn't do anything to help bust you out though since nobody spoke out about a location on where one would even go to try and find you. he speaks in a honest and truthful tone of voice. One of the few times where the warrior of a player speaks 100% honesty without any actual lies.

"Yeah, well," he sighed. Pinball shook his head, not wanting to continue. "It was hard to get out." They had chained him to a bed. Who knew its durability was that high? But Hestia hadn't taken him to the location the edgy guy wanted to take him. She had put him right in her shop. So over the course of a couple of sleepless nights, he worked on breaking out. The constant feeling of metal grinding against his skin as he pushed against his restraints, scraping it against the bed in an attempt to lower the handcuffs' durability... it still sent shivers down his spine. But in the end, he had gotten out, and that's all that matters. He had had some time... to think about his situation then, and he had come to a sickening conclusion on the state of higher leveled players.

But Pinball didn't share any of that. After a whiile of silence, Pinball felt the need to break it. "So, where are they?" There was a significant lack of joking from the once peculiar teenager, replaced by a dark and moody air around him. His smiles were tired and his eyes were dull, but he still stumbled forward, a shadow of his former self.

A dead man walking.

He looks towards the spear use and just gains a neutral face instead of the always at least somewhat smirking or amused one he holds when talking with Pinball than faces towards the destination. 'I guess the saying is true. You don't know what you have till its gone.' He thinks to himself having always wished he could knock the childish games out of the spear user during that time, but instead now wish it could go back to that point where he would act like a jokester and not take anything seriously. Since it at least make things much more interesting and bearable to deal with during the quests the duo would go on together. 'As much as i found the other half annoying. Having two people taking this seriousness removes some part of conversing with him and challenging him actually fun and interesting.' He thinks to himself before spotting two humanoid looking bat things flying towards himself and Pinball, and without missing a beat mars jumps towards one of them and quickly starts cutting into the bat with a flurry of blows before getting back onto the ground and looking towards the creature that is now staring him down. I got mine Pin. Lets see who can kill their's the fastest.

From the sky flew two humanoid bat creatures, shrieking their challenge. Pinball let his spear fall to the ground, holding it loose in one hand as Mars charged forward to meet the creature on the left with a flurry of blows. Its heath dropped substantialy. Was this a pinnacle of difficulty? It didn't seem like much. He shrugged, and moved to meet the other one. He'd see how well it added up, wouldn't he? He watched as the second Bat took a low crouch, its sharpened claws held out to the side. It stared at Pinball with angry, evil eyes, the embodiment of mindless rage. It wanted to kill him. He nodded slowly. "Let's see it," he hummed, unenthused.

Without further warning the bat launched itself forward. Pinball easily sidestepped it, and time seemed to slow as his spear lashed out in a merciless assault of frost and dancing light. It flew over the teenager, landing on the ground behind him now, covered in ice and red tears in its avatar. Pinball looked at it, largely uninterested. These things were weak, then, huh? Like everything he had fought.

Well, except for King Croaksworth and that bearded Queen.

He just smirks once more as he rushes forward and quickly cuts into the bat's leathery form with a flurry of swings from his blade tearing into the creature as its health drops into barely the half health zone from where it was as a smirk of confidence crosses his face at such a quick and ease of defeat for something that was suppose to be difficult. The black clothed man quickly raising his blade and deflecting the clawed attack of the bat with a smirk of confidence as he parries it away landing upon the ground and than looks towards the bats with a look of annoyance. This is the best the frontlines have to offer for a quest? We're tearing into them and this was supposed to be something that gave two groups of frontliners difficulty? Are they that pathetic, or is having a tank that much of a actual detriment overall? He questions with a amused look in his eyes as he looks towards Pinball. Either my information has been faulty two times, or the frontlines might be more incompetent then we might think already.

Pinball shrugged. Were the frontliners really incompetent? Or were the ones who took this quest just poorly put together? Maybe they couldn't work together like he and Mars could. He wondered for a second how dangerous those claws would be if they hit. Pinball frowned, twirling his spear overhead as the Bat forced itself to its feet. He dodged swipe after swipe with ease, slippery, and always just out of reach of the Bat's clutches. A smile crawled across the sleep-deprived spearman's face. Man, they really are kinda slow, huh? As soon as he saw his open, Pinball retaliated with his own attack, dropping the creature's health even further. It wasn't going to last much longer! And that was kind of disappointing, wasn't it? Where's the fun in that? Pinball glanced over to Mars. He was doing just about as well as Pinball was doing. They were blowing through this quest, and Pinball started to think about what rewards they were gonna get...

Looking towards the bats he quickly rushes forward once more as he jumps over the bats attacks with perfect  evasion as he stabs into the bat's back and than a swift three strikes towards the wings before kicking off of it.  Once more landing upon the ground he looks towards Pinball and just shrugs his shoulders towards him. I mean they are kinda slow, but in reality i have remained entirely untouched so far like yourself. He says in a calm tone of voice while glancing towards the bat and dodging out of the way of an attack aimed at him like an adult would dodge an attack from a child. A bored expression quickly crossing his face while looking at the mobs that were supposedly rather strong according to his reports, but so far they are failing him once more like another quest in the past to see if it was actually difficult. A challenge.

"Well, don't get too cocky, you might get Stefan interested." Without explaining what the hell that even meant, Pinball let Cardinal carry him through the motions. He didn't bother trying to put his own personal twist on the usually cut-and-dry Sword Art. He was too tired to even put in the effort, and it obviously wasn't even necessary with these kinds of monsters. "Slow," he chided, "slow, slow, slow." Pinball tsked, and threw himself backwards, almost knocking into Mars as he did. "Wuh woah, watch out," he chuckled dumbly. He felt and sounded lazy, and it was almost like he was getting lazier and sloppier the longer the fight went on. It was sudden, like someone had just flipped a switch inside his brain. He gave his spear an extra, extra twirl, flipping it around his back and over his head before letting it slide back into his grip in one fluid motion. The Bat creature snarled, crouching low against the floor, its claws digging into the stone.

Gazing towards the bat he once more dodges out of the way of the attack that was actually rather close to hitting him as he bends back away from the claws that threatened to strike his face. Rolling over towards the side he quickly slices into the bat with a flurry of strikes as the red gashes along the bat appear and than disappears just as quickly as it is left on red health. A confidence in the katana using fighter just coming off of his body in waves as he has remained entirely untouched during this fight than looks back towards Pinball's bat and sees that it is left with more health than his. Who is Stefan Pinball? Also, if it is something to worry about at least it might be something to actually put our efforts into to try and put down instead of these really weak bats. He says towards him with a amused smirk across his face.

"Oh, Mars," he assured, patting his rival on the back, "you'll know him when you feel him." Pinball heard the Bat shriek as it ran, trying to rake its claws against Pinball's turned, exposed back. Pinball spun around with a high kick, knocking the creature off balance. He hit the ground low, and immediately threw himself into Dimension Stampede, and by God, did he ruin this poor creature. Over the course of a few seconds, the DPS duo had laid waste to both of these supposed "pinnacles of difficulty". Maybe it had been to tough for the players to handle, and it had gotten nerfed? Pinball snorted. Yeah, right. Who would nerf something intentionally made to be difficult? That sounded silly to him. It defeated the whole point of the quest! "You think Kayaba stays in the real world... because he too fears what he created?" His jokes were horrible, if they could even be called that. But they seemed to amuse the teenager immensely, all of the sudden. He needed sleep. Really, really badly.

Kayaba fearing what he created? That is about the funniest thing i've heard from you yet Pinball. He doesn't need to fear much if he can be the god of this world. He says towards the spear user in a amused tone of voice before going forward towards the bat and aiming to strike right through the creature with his blade. The metal slashing into the bat repeatedly with one strike after another until it bursts away into red pixel by the end as he than sheathes his sword since he is going to need some small break after to allow his energy to recover back to full. 'Being able to do this is not an option i guess. If their are anymore and we get into a fight it will be a waste and leave us with not a single chance to fight back against the duo of the next bats that could come.' He thinks rather calmly towards himself as the fight ends and he checks in to see if his rival dealt with the other.

And just like that, the fight was over just as quickly as it had started. As Pinball's Bat, too, burst into a cloud of bits of blue, he was left with an unsatisfied feeling in his stomach. That wasn't fun at all! Pinball cocked his head to the side, watching the crystals that were once a monster float away into nothingness. He looked over to Mars and noticed his rival staring at him, a similar cloud dissipating in front of him. Pinball shrugged, and looked down the path they had been walking down. "Pretty lame," was all he offered before starting to walk down the path again. "Is it an actual Hidden Village? I wasn't paying attention." Pinball rested his spear across his shoulder, looking behind him to make sure they weren't being followed - by monster and human alike. Once he was confident they were in the clear, he turned his attention back up ahead.

He shrugs his shoulders when Pinball asks him that as his weapon is sheathed as he follows the spear user at a steady pace alongside him as the duo make their way deeper into the cave where their supposed end goal is meant to be located at.  I honestly have no idea if it is meant ot be an actual hidden village, but as far as i know Pin the most i can tell you that if it is actually hidden the only thing hdiden about it is that their are these bats most likely blocking you from getting to it easily. He says towards his rival and compatriot while walking alongside him as his gaze settles on now looking at the ceiling of the cavern trying to find more of these bats that might try to impede their progress towards getting to the finish line to say. The liger that is Mars' familiar being rather quick to follow the duo to keep up on whatever next fight will occur. So than Pinball i think i have a plan for if we wanted to storm the next floor boss. I'm certain that crafter's would be rather knowledgeable about when the fights begin.

Were they actually going to do that? Pinball wasn't sure how comfortable he was showing his face to the people he had previously been arrested by. He thought on it for a moment, and wasn't surprised that he couldn't really think right now, per se. He was way too tired, and it was almost as if he could feel that lack of sleep dumbing him down. He wasn't nearly as sharp as he normally was, huh? And even then, actually, was he even that sharp to begin with-? Either way, his mood was violently changing. Volatile and unpredictable, Pinball jumped between happy and sad and angry like it was nothing.

Pinball slipped his spear across the back of his neck and held it up with both arms as he walked. "Hrng," was all he grunted in response. If they wanted to do something like that, they needed to get buffs - and for that, during raid season, they would probably need to be accepted by the other frontliners, what with every shop being flooded with orders. Pinball twitched, shrugged, and twitched again, nearly dropping his spear (not that such a thing was very possible).

Looking towards Pinball he just smiles a bit and than just nods his head and takes no opposition as just agreement for the moment as he can only assume that it primarily is more so due to the tiredness and fatigue his companion is going through. Which will eventually most likely go back towards Mars himself having to pick up the spear user and drag him back towards civilization and take him back towards his own shop to guarantee him a safe place of rest. Now than to talk about the plan. I'm certain that Neo finds me at least tolerable a face to have around. I ask her she might give me information. if she doesn't find me tolerable i can easily ask different frontliners until i find one that would be favorable to have enough "sellsword" as one would say to aid their cause. In reality. The goal is far more to say bring you along with me and than the duo of us being our own group, and for our safety our initial entrance into the fight being you wearing a cloak or some kind of facial obscuring meaning to make sure nobody recognizes you until it is far too late. He says towards the spear user with a smirk across his face while doing so with each word being dripped in confidence and almost as if each word is hit with the guarantee of being a promise of success in this plan.

Sellswords? Pinball considered the idea, mentally running through a list of players he thought would be strong enough to take on a boss fight. He also took into consideration him and his companion's... peculiar situations. Needless to say, the list was short and practically non-existant - unless they, of course, forced someone into their group. He almost laughed thinking about the face of some poor, T2 player they beat the hell out of to make them come. And then he realized what Mars meant.

"Well..." Pinball let out a pent up breath, starting to feel suffocated and claustrophobic as they traveled through winding tunnels and "open" caves. Everything looked the same, even though he knew he hadn't been this way before, and it was starting to freak him out. Maybe it was the sleep talking. "Yeah, no, I got you," he said finally. "How about you go to the next boss meeting and find out? Like, ask around, and find out when they're holdin' it.

"Just speak like there's gonna be two of you. Don't tell 'em I'm an orange player, though. And if Hest or this edgy, shadowy dude asks... you've never met 'Pinball'.
