[BR - F24] Paving the way to Floor 25 (Floor 24 Boss Battle - Leviathan)

The water that came from the Leviathan's open maw was like a fire hose, creating a trench as it dug of sand and dirt, throwing it in all directions. The violent stream of water rose towards Jomei, a hit that would surely have been nearly fatal. Tucking his shoulder, the man threw himself out of the way, hitting the ground with a roll. With a few heavy breaths, the man looked over at Hestia who, once again, was pleading for Jomei to take the teleport crystal. Olive eyes lingered on the item in his friend's hands for a few seconds before he looked back into her eyes. If she was telling the truth, then he should have nothing to worry about, and she would pull out a crystal of her own. However, Jomei knew Hestia would do anything for her friends. "...Fine." the man finally said, accepting the trade from Hestia and putting the crystal right into one of his pockets. "But you better have another one of your own." The burning heat from the Leviathan's Scald attack scorched Jomei's skin under his armor, causing some extra damage to slowly deplete over time. The man grit his teeth before lowering into a battle stance and looking up at the segment he was meant to attack.. However, he now realized how close he was to death and froze up. He truly was scared.

The fight was taking longer then Zandra had expected. Much longer. And the main reason was because over half of the players had chicken out. She let out a sigh. In her party it was onoy her and Itzal left. Itzal, one of the few players that she really trusted. One of the few she counted as fellow frontliner. She smiled at him. "You know, I am happy that you are the one that is still here. Not only because of our talk, but because you are a better frontliner then almost all players in here." she bit her lower lip. "But honestly, I dont know what to do. I guess the best we can do is wait for party one to destroy theor segment. Then we can run in and deal some damage on the lizard. What do you say?" she looked at him, searching for advice.

Itzal watched as players began to teleport out and nodded.  Good.  Ariel seemed like she wasn't going to teleport out but then was removed from the fight.  Either way she'd live.  However, Zandra didn't use her teleport crystal.  He turned to look at her as she cleaved through the three new monsters, hacking their health down greatly to nothing.  When she did the boss attacked again and Itzal was hit by scald.  Regrettably he did not succeed in keeping himself from being burned.  He watched his health drop down a little bit but it wasn't too bad.  In a second he'd be out of the fight anyway.  Before he could relax himself however he heard Zandra offer another suggestion.  He turned to her and listened carefully as she suggested they attack the Leviathan but not the segment.  His eyes lit up as he thought.  "...That might work, if we can keep our health high enough.  If you think we can do it, I'll put my faith in you Zandra.  Here, take this just in case.  Your mod can heal both of us, but your skill can't, so use this if you have to ok?"  he said as he handed one of his healing songs.  He gripped his sword tighter.  "Well. Let's see how long we can hold out against him then.  You ready?"

The fight was going nowhere fast, but hopefully she could get it moving a little bit. Hestia got the attention of the boss once more so now Neo was able to attack at the segment and not incur its wrath. While the boss was distracted, Neo rushed up and struck at the segment protecting the boss from being targeted. She felt as though it was enough damage that she dealt,  but she couldn't be certain. With Mars's hit though, she knew it was going to be a sliver of health left at most. Backing off from her strike, she prepared for whatever onslaught was about to come. It seemed a little bit of party 2 was sticking around, which meant that there was going to be a little bit of extra damage coming out. Though she had a feeling they would mostly be occupied with taking out the water crystal when it re-spawned.

The rain was pouring down further as the players attempted to do what little damage they could to the leviathan. The leviathan took a break from its assault on the players and instead decided to help the Sahagin crawling out of the walls. It's head lowered into the arena, depositing six Sahagin near the larger group. There was four of the green scaled ones, and then two of the ones with red scales. The red scaled Sahagin seemed more terrifying than the others, though not by much. Their eyes were strafing across the field, seemingly disregarding the players taking point. They were ready to exercise the power and will of the sea, flowing into the battlefield just like the tide. Meanwhile, the head of leviathan lurked around the sand of the beach, its steely eyes glaring at each player in turn. It didn't attack them, but it seemed ready for another round against the players.

Room Effect: Torrential Rain
A terrible storm rages on the seas, growing worse by the minute. At the start of each of Leviathan's turns, players are progressively hindered. Those with the <<Survival>> skill active take reduced penalties (noted in brackets). ACC and EVA reductions only last for the rotation they were applied:

Rotation 1: 50 mitigatable DMG [25 mitigatable DMG]
Rotation 2: 100 mitigatable DMG [50 mitigatable DMG]
Rotation 3: 150 mitigatable DMG and reduces EVA by 1 for a turn [75 mitigatable DMG]

Passive:  Queen's Ire
Applies to a player when they deal damage to Leviathan. Reduces all sources of health and energy restoration by half (rounded down, to a minimum of 0). Destroying a Segment immediately removes Queen's Ire from its assigned party.

Ability 1: Hydro Jet
[Uses every turn]
An attack that pierces through the toughest of hides, the sturdiest of ships, and densest of armor. Leviathan rears back and launches a jet of concentrated water at the player with the highest hate. Deals 500 DMG and reduces the hate of that player against Leviathan by 3. On a non-critical hit, a player may choose to expend 5 energy at the start of their turn to ignore this hate reduction.

Ability 2: Frostbite (1/2 CD)
[2 Turn CD]
Leviathan breathes deeply, unleashing a wave of extreme frost over the area that coats players and solidifies into ice (Note that this does not take an attack roll to hit; this attack will ignore, but not interrupt, stealth; this attack does not proc thorns). At the start of the players' next turn, they must roll with the purpose "Frostbite" (This is not a post action and should be rolled after scald if applicable). On a LD 1-14, they suffer from the Freeze condition until the start of their next turn (Removes their action on the current turn and removes all EVA properties. If they are hit by a successful attack before the effect ends they take an additional 40 unmitigatable Frost DMG.). A frozen player's base DMG is reduced by 3 for one turn after the freeze effect ends (this is negated if the effect was purified). The following allow bonuses to this LD roll or ignore the effect:

  • +3 for having the <<Survival>> skill active.
  • +2 for having the Flame Aura, Flame Thorns, or Burn enhancements equipped. (Can only apply once per roll, burn effects granted from consumables do not apply)
  • +1 for every 2 EVA the player has.
  • Having the Antifreeze makes the player automatically succeed the check.
  • Suffering from the Burn effect from Scald makes the player automatically succeed the check.

Additional notes: This will proc anti-oxidants and antidotes before the roll. If a player neglects to roll for this effect, the boss will make the roll at a -5 penalty (and will apply retroactively). And though it is stated earlier, once again, this does not cost a post action. I will know you aren't reading these abilities if you ask me if it takes a post action. You cannot quick change to gain immunity either, as it takes place at the start of your turn.

Ability 3: Scald (2/3 CD)
[3 Turn CD] (starts on cooldown)
A sphere of heated volcanic ocean water is lobbed and splashes against all players in the party. Deals 100 unmitigatable DMG to the player with the highest hate, 50 unmitigatable DMG to the player with the second highest hate, and 25 unmitigatable DMG to all others (Note that this does not take an attack roll to hit; this attack will ignore, but not interrupt, stealth; this attack does not proc thorns). At the start of the players' next turn, they must roll with the purpose "Scald" (This is not a post action, and should be rolled before frostbite if applicable). On a LD 15+, their base DMG is reduced by 1 for one round. On a LD 1-14, they suffer from Burn, taking 40 unmitigatable Fire DMG at the beginning of their turn for two turns (This is affected by the snowfrost effect). The following allow bonuses to this LD roll or ignore the effect:

  • +3 for having the <<Survival>> skill active.
  • +2 for having the Frost Aura, Frost Thorns, or Freeze enhancements equipped. (Can only apply once per roll, freeze effects granted from consumables do not apply)

I watch as a surge of water jets towards me and then misses me completely having the attack between my party and Itzal's as i just grin rather thankful for the fact we have his debuff song playing out through the raid to help deal with the attacks that got sent towards people like Sey who weren't built fully tank. Gazing towards the health values i quickly go towards neo and activates first aid recovering the HP of her valuing her just slightly above Mars due to the nature of their HP values and where they were set as i then glance towards the unfrozen calrex and then the swarms of Shahagin that just jumped into the fight with the destruction of the segment that came with it. Glancing to jomei i can just nod to myself and hopes he understands the situation we are in as i can only prepare myself for the attack from the leviathan now as i can already see it coming as i just raise my shield ready for the attack that is to come towards myself.

Seeing the head lower and the rain continue to pelt him he does the only thing that seems sensible to do in that very moment to the black haired boy. 'I'm gonna stab that thing in the face to try and kill it before it kills me with rain or any fish people.' Rushing towards the giant water snake with his katana glowing a bright red energy he quickly starts carving into the fish striking its scaled flesh as his blade created red grooves and cuts into the giant behemoth of any enemy before he forces himself back with only the singular hope that the other tank of their party will provide them cover with howl. Glancing towards what has spawned for them he sees the immediate issue with that. 'There..is a lot more them then there are of us, and i just struck the boss. I am possibly gonna die here and now.' He thinks to himself as the realization sets into him.

The health of the other partys segment was slowly dripping down until it exploded in a sea for pixels and crystals. She looked at Itzal. ‘’Thank you, I will use it if I need to. And that is our sign. Hit him with everything you have.’’ She said to the young man. Her hand went up in the air infront of her, with a quick press in the air her santa themed cloak disappeared. Instead, she got surrounded by her trusted heavy armor. She got covered from top to bottom in dark with veins of pulsating fire. Her focus went to the boss. ‘’You know, you are ot the only dragon here.’’ She said to it before she rushed forth, releasing her attack on it. ‘’Damnit!’’ she said when neither the fallen effect or the burn appeared.

A bunch of sahagins had appeared for the other group. They would have it busy so now wasn’t a good time to break their segment. ‘’Hestia!’’ she shouted to the tank. ‘’Tell us when you are ready to kick that lizard and we will break our segment. We will wait until you are ready.’’ Then she turned back to Itzal. ‘’Here, use this. On yourself, on me, or on us is your choice. I suggest both of us thou.’’ And she sent him the unicorn horn.

Jomei pat at his coat and clothes where it pulsed with a fire-like light, still taking the lasting damage from the burn of Scald, but eventually ridding himself of the effect. Looking up again, he saw the Leviathan lowering its head, allowing the players to once again attack it. This is it, Jomei thought to himself.  If they were all to attack right now, maybe they would have a chance at finishing this thing off without giving it another chance at attacking them. However, before Jomei could strike, he saw a number of Sahagin climbing over the scaled hide of the serpent yet again, accompanied by stronger looking ones with red scales. "Dammit.." Jomei said under his breath, they would most likely have to take care of them as well.. and being Calrex and Mars were the only ones on their team capable of dealing decent damage to multiple enemies, it would not be simple. 

Before the ginger could make up his mind, he saw Mars rush forth and attack the Leviathan. All eyes of the Sahagin turned to look at him in anger for attacking their leader, deity..whatever this creature was to them. Olive eyes darted between the group of fish men, Mars, and the Leviathan multiple times before yelling out in a bit of frustration and grabbing the side of his head. "Hey! Over here!" Jomei shouted to the Sahagin as he rushed forward, grabbing the handle of his rapier with two hands and cutting deep into the hide of the first mob, doing his usual routine of slicing and dicing.

Itzal smiled to Zandra and nodded firmly to her.  "You got it Zandra."  He threw his sword into the air and stretched his hands.  He closed his eyes and slowed his breathing.  Time seemed to slow for Itzal as he relaxed his muscles.  Then, as the blade began to fall, he tensed them up again like a spring preparing to leap.  He caught his sword and rushed forward in a mad dash.  He activated his sword art on the Leviathan, dealing out a total of four hundred and sixty or so points of damage against the boss.  He hacked, slashed and pierced but no matter what he couldn't get a single critical hit against him.  Cursing mildly he leaped away again.  Itzal thrust his blade into the ground, slowing himself to a halt.  Taking a few breaths he stood up straight again.  "Damn, it's like it knows what we're planning.  Gotta outsmart it somehow..."  He heard Zandra call out to @Hestia to let the tank know that they were going to wait until it's head was brought forward again.  Itzal nodded to Hestia to confirm this, though Hestia would still not know who he was.  Then he received something from Zandra.  Blinking he looked at the item.  "I...  Yeah, ok.  I will Zandra.  And don't you think for a second that I'm not going to include you if I use this alright?  I'm not doing that.  I'll never do that.  We're getting out of here together."

As Calrex felt his body finally starting to overcome the chilling from the repeated Frostbite effects he gave a small sigh, surveying the battlefield as the raid continued to rage on. With the six minions now in front of them the bluenette clenched both of his fists while he heard Mars shoot ahead to take advantage of the opening destroying their segment created, "Best keep these guys off of the main damage dealers."

His arms swirled with light blue energy as <<Howl>> built up to a head. Slamming his fists together the energy shot out with a loud roar, grabbing the attention of the third and fourth regular sahagin, along with the two stronger red creatures. Lowering his arms to his sides the Ultramarine readied himself while hearing Zandra call out from the other side to Hestia, "Let's just hope that opening comes and we're able to get a full round of attacks. By the time it happens I think the boss will have it's Frostbite skill ready to cast again."

Neo could feel the battle unraveling, but she stayed strong for the moment. With more healing coming from Hestia, she was confident that she was going to be able to take things on. Seeing one of the Sahagin left untouched for the moment, she quickly went after it in the hopes that she could take it out. As she rushed forward to attack it, a black mist swirled around her blade, seeming to darken the water around her. She flicked it around her shoulder and then went into a series of rapid thrusts at the creature. Its health bar was moving down quite quickly, but she had to turn away from it before it could shatter to make sure she was ready for the attacks that were inevitably going to be coming from the leviathan now. She braced herself for the inevitable damage and was ready to face what she could. Crushing her last healing crystal, she waited for what the fight had in store for her.

The Leviathan shook its head, and the waters grew still. The Sahagin who had not been shattered clambered back over the leviathan's scales and towards their holes. The snake itself slithered back into the sea, and the clouds parted. A ray of light beamed down onto the party, seeming as though the fight was over and the monster defeated. Yet there was no stairway that appeared. No rewards screen popped up, and no one was regenerating health now that the fight was supposedly over. A calm went over the water, and it returned to being a regular beach from the stormy mess that it was prior. There was no sound there, only the crunch of players feet on the sand. But beyond all that, a sense of dread hung in the air. As if something was coming. Something big was on its way, but it was not yet ready to strike.

A terrible storm rages on the seas, growing worse by the minute. At the start of each of Leviathan's turns, players are progressively hindered. Those with the <<Survival>> skill active take reduced penalties (noted in brackets). ACC and EVA reductions only last for the rotation they were applied:

Ability 1: Hydro Jet
[Uses every turn]
An attack that pierces through the toughest of hides, the sturdiest of ships, and densest of armor. Leviathan rears back and launches a jet of concentrated water at the player with the highest hate. Deals 500 DMG and reduces the hate of that player against Leviathan by 3. On a non-critical hit, a player may choose to expend 5 energy at the start of their turn to ignore this hate reduction.

Ability 2: Frostbite (0/2 CD)

Leviathan breathes deeply, unleashing a wave of extreme frost over the area that coats players and solidifies into ice (Note that this does not take an attack roll to hit; this attack will ignore, but not interrupt, stealth; this attack does not proc thorns). At the start of the players' next turn, they must roll with the purpose "Frostbite" (This is not a post action and should be rolled after scald if applicable). On a LD 1-14, they suffer from the Freeze condition until the start of their next turn (Removes their action on the current turn and removes all EVA properties. If they are hit by a successful attack before the effect ends they take an additional 40 unmitigatable Frost DMG.). A frozen player's base DMG is reduced by 3 for one turn after the freeze effect ends (this is negated if the effect was purified). The following allow bonuses to this LD roll or ignore the effect:

  • +3 for having the <<Survival>> skill active.
  • +2 for having the Flame Aura, Flame Thorns, or Burn enhancements equipped. (Can only apply once per roll, burn effects granted from consumables do not apply)
  • +1 for every 2 EVA the player has.
  • Having the Antifreeze makes the player automatically succeed the check.
  • Suffering from the Burn effect from Scald makes the player automatically succeed the check.

Additional notes: This will proc anti-oxidants and antidotes before the roll. If a player neglects to roll for this effect, the boss will make the roll at a -5 penalty (and will apply retroactively). And though it is stated earlier, once again, this does not cost a post action. I will know you aren't reading these abilities if you ask me if it takes a post action. You cannot quick change to gain immunity either, as it takes place at the start of your turn.

Ability 3: Scald (1/3 CD)

A sphere of heated volcanic ocean water is lobbed and splashes against all players in the party. Deals 100 unmitigatable DMG to the player with the highest hate, 50 unmitigatable DMG to the player with the second highest hate, and 25 unmitigatable DMG to all others (Note that this does not take an attack roll to hit; this attack will ignore, but not interrupt, stealth; this attack does not proc thorns). At the start of the players' next turn, they must roll with the purpose "Scald" (This is not a post action, and should be rolled before frostbite if applicable). On a LD 15+, their base DMG is reduced by 1 for one round. On a LD 1-14, they suffer from Burn, taking 40 unmitigatable Fire DMG at the beginning of their turn for two turns (This is affected by the snowfrost effect). The following allow bonuses to this LD roll or ignore the effect:

  • +3 for having the <<Survival>> skill active.
  • +2 for having the Frost Aura, Frost Thorns, or Freeze enhancements equipped. (Can only apply once per roll, freeze effects granted from consumables do not apply)

The Sahagin Jomei had struck shattered into fragments of data. The ginger could feel the rain from above slowly let up, as the sky became slightly brighter. The sounds of battle began to subside, the remaining Sahagin climbing back over the scaled hide of Leviathan and retreating back to the holes in the cliff. The boss itself, circled around the players and slithered into the ocean, out of sight of the players. Was it over? Did they win? Jomei's eyes scanned the ocean before turning to look behind them at the cliff where they had descended from. The original stairs were still there.. but no other entryways to Floor 25 seemed to open. He also realized that there was no congratulatory message along with rewards for finishing the fight. No.. they were not finished. It was planning something as a last ditch effort to wipe out as many of the raid team as it could. 

The ginger turned to look at the other players, who all looked just as concerned or confused. Finally, his eyes fell upon the wooden stairs leading up the cliff yet again. He could retreat now with no risk of dying.. they all could. They could leave and come back with a stronger force, now knowing everything this boss had in store. Everything but this final ability. Jomei took in a deep breath through his nostrils and turned to the rest of the raid party. The water was still, and quiet.. no sounds, no waves.. A beach like this would usually be tranquil and serene, but with the looming sense of dread, it was terrifying.

"I know you all know that there is more coming.. We aren't out of this yet. But for this moment, we are a bit safer." he pointed to the stairs, "Now's your chance if you want to run.. to make sure you live another day. This fight took a lot out of us, and I can't promise that all of those who stay will survive. So now is the only chance you'll get." The ginger turned once more to face the water, and shoved the tip of his blade into the ground. "I'll be staying, and seeing this fight to the end.. however that will happen."  Crossing his arms the player stood on the beach, slowly closing his eyes. Recalling an old skill he had obtained, Jomei relied on the effects of Meditation to restore a bit of his energy and calm his nerves. The moment he heard something coming out of the water, he would grab his blade and prepare for the final leg of this fight.

The silence was deafening as once was pounding rain that drowned out the sounds of commands from the higher ups during the raid, to the angry fish people to the sounds of metal clanging against scales or more metal. The roar of the beast that had become our enemy this day to our progress of escaping Aincrad as the sea serpent that once loomed over the raid has made the entire area quiet. Nothing is there just stillness peace and what should be a sign of peace that should wash over us and make things happy. Leaves only the question in the back of my mind. 'What is it doing?' i think to myself as i do the only thing that is sensible i quickly activate field medic as a green light covers the entire group as their health bars shoot up to at least be out of the yellow as i then just sit and wait patiently.

Looking towards Jomei i then look towards the ocean as i ask the only hting that is sensible. So then jomei. What do you think is going to happen? We both know this is too good to be true. Do you think it's having water crystals do something? It's followers getting stronger? though it stopped raining as well. It was raining when we got in here right? Or did it only appear when the leviathan did? I ask softly as my mind races through every option that could be available to me as i try to figure out what to do here. my familiar walks over to me and rests beside me as i gently pet his head getting any comfort i can as i then glance towards Jomei. I'm also sorry for not being able to properly defend my team Jomei. My group fell due to the rain and thus retreated. No deaths. We might need to think of scouting bosses from here on out. It's getting dangerous. First Artamiel a boss that almost killed players permanently. Now this.

Zandra prepared to be hit by a powerful hydro jet beam. That have hitted Sey several times as he was the tank. Now Zandra was the one with the highet hate, so the lizard would attack her. Thou it never came. She looked around, confused. Not only was there no attack. All enemies, including the segments, retreated. They just, moved away. ‘’What the?’’ she said. For a moment she thought they had won by some strange way. But nope, the boss didn’t shattered, and the health bar had stopped ticking down when it left. The rain had stopped as well. Everything was calm. She should be reliefed that there hadn’t been a hydro jet. But nothing coming at them was worse. Since they had no idea what was going to happen. Was he preparing something powerful final move? Then this was the time to prepare for whatever would come. She turned to Itzal. ‘’Im not asking you to stay, I wont hold any bad feelings towards you. But I will stay. We have come this far, would be a big fail to retreat this close to the end. But if I field medic, I wont have any energy left to be of use. I thank you a ton for the healing song. Im going to use it now, but I also have one more mass healing crystal.’’ She took forth both the song and the crystal. The crystal shattered and the song started playing. Then she held forth her arm towards Itzal. ‘’Here, stab me with the horn, then use it on yourself too. It maybe isn’t much, but at least some healing.’’

Itzal watched as the boss...  Retreated.  Taking a moment to relax, he thrust his sword into the floor beneath him, letting it protrude from it straight upward.  From there he simply stared out into the distance wondering what was going to come.  A charged attack?  Reinforcements?  Or perhaps a metamorphosis.  He wasn't sure.  He heard Jomei call out to everyone, stating out the obvious before declaring how he was going to be staying.  From what he could tell Hestia was choosing to stay as well.  Itzal stood there thinking about all of this as his battle healing regenerated more of his health.  That was good.  At least they had some time to recover.  As they waited he heard Zandra speak to him.  Telling him how if he wanted to leave he could, and that she wouldn't hold it against him.  She continued, saying how she was going to stay.  How they were so close to the end and how she couldn't just pull out anymore.  Itzal was silent for a moment as she healed the both of them.  Then he spoke with a slight nod.  "I'm staying too.  If anyone should it's us right?  Our health is extremely high.  You have a great amount of mitigation and I have a high evasion.  I'll stick around and try to help out.  Despite my meager damage..  Freaking sword hasn't applied it's DoT all day against what's needed.  Just.  Promise me that if you think, even for a moment, that you are going to die.  Pull out.  And I'll do the same."  He pulled out the horn from his inventory and pierced the two of them with it, restoring health by ten percent each.  He looked at his instant heal crystal.  "...I won't use my last healing crystal just yet.  Let's see if we can manage without it until then.  We should also hold off of using the last charge unless absolutely needed too."

Safeguard Consumed

(1 Energy Recovered / 168 Remaining)

With the Leviathan's retreat, and the lifting of the constant environmental conditions that were plaguing the battlefield for most of the fight, it did seem like things were finally over. There was even a clearing of the skies as the seemingly calm beach environment was restored. However, since he had been in so many battles previous, Calrex had already known better than to judge this as the conclusion of the battle. No experience was rewarded, and no raid items seem to have been distrubited amongst the players.

Other veterans like Jomei seemed to echo this sentiment, and the bluenette agreed, "Don't take it easy, this fight isn't over. Take this moment to get your defenses back up. Whatever's coming next will likely be even more powerful than it's previous attacks. Especially with its health so low I wouldn't but it past the game devs to have a massive final attack coming next, like some kind of tidal wave or other technique that will target both parties at once. I know it's rare now, but if you have any Safeguards on you, use them. If it is a big attack we need to survive it."

Pulling out one of the five safeguard potions he had in his quick slots Calrex crushed it against his armor as the silvery aura flashed over his avatar briefly, ready to intercept the next incoming attack.

Seeing as the storm passes he sits down and takes a rest letting out a sigh of relief as he can just rest and not die from thsi fight as he grins at having been able to stay in this fight longer then Pinball had been able to. His strength having surpassed the stronger player as he just nods his head counting this as his win for the race towards tier three that even if Pinball may be a higher level Mars has succeeded in once more besting his rival in a fight of some kind. Soon after a green light covers him as he nods his head thankful for that as the black haired swordman can only do one thing and taht is to wait for the attack that is going to come from this serpent. As Mars can only hope he has enough luck to be able to dodge it effectively. 'Well then Pin i can't wait to come back bringing news of me having bested this serpent when you had to flee.' He thinks to himself with a smile across his face at the thought of doing so.

The waters were calm and the boss was gone

She couldn't help but feel what fate they had sown

The clouds had parted, she was free from rain

Yet she felt as though she was not free from reign

Nothing was coming, that she could tell

And as she walked, she waited for hell

For it was consuming her, from within her soul

But she cast out those thoughts, focusing on this shoal

Others were staying, and she fully agreed

Why she stayed, it might have been greed

She wanted something special, though what she knew not

But her own niche, that was what she sought

Looking to the sea, she waited in turn

And standing on that beach, her feet did burn

A dreaded feeling hung in the air

and to her opponent, her weapon did bear
