This had to be the place Alec thought to himself as he gazed across the field he saw a grouping of three large wasps spread across the field. The wasps were huge! Easily the size of a small dog like a terrier. Alec could only imagine the size of the Queen if these were the farm mobs. Alec took a deep calming breath as he eased his Mithril Battle Axe from the loop at his hip and gripped the weapon tightly in his fist. After several more calming breaths he looked down to Humphrey and asked in a low hushed voice 'You ready pal? Let's see what these wasps are made of." As he stepped forward and began approaching the group of three wasps hovering in the field closest to where he had exited the forest and entered the field. As he trotted towards them they shifted their attention to Alec and began to fly towards him. As he trotted towards the Wasps he called upon the energy to fuel a Sword Art as he went. He felt the energy flooded through him and gather in his Mithril Battle Axe causing it to vibrate and glow as the energy built. Once it had reached its peak Alec swung his axe out in a sideways swing like when he was back home chopping down trees for firewood. His attack against the closest Wasp missed and so e of the energy sailed away wasted as the Wasp dove in and buried its stinger in Alec's side leaving a small hole. As he continued his swing he struck the middle wasp and slammed his axe head into the Wasp four times twice with the flat and twice with the blade ad this Wasp too dove at him and buried its stinger in his next next to the first hole. As Alec's swing finished the last of the stored energy missed its target and also flew away wasted as the last Wasp ducked and dove in sinking stinger in Alec's side next to the previous two holes. He missed his beings at the first and last Wasp but he managed to effectively lay into the middle wasp rather effectively. As all three wasp dipped and swooped past Alec's shield to each pierce him in the side each leaving a small hole in it's wake. Alec took a deep breath to calm himself and drew the energy for a Sword Art through him and into his axe causing it to vibrate and glow till Alec swung his Ace out in a wide arc aimed at all three wasp. As Alec swung continued he released the energy too soon while continuing his swing at the second wasp and the energy went wide and missed it throwing it off its path and allowing Alec to block it away with his shield. As his swing finished at the last Wasp the energy slammed into the final wasp in a devistating blow that rocked the wasp hard. The wasp swooped in and stuck Alec in the side as well as Sleep pressed his Shield against the wasp causing it to begin to hum before SNAP it shocked the wasp with a stored up charge of static electricity. Alec received another puncture wounds from the first wasp but was able to block the second wasp's attack. The wasp dug its stinger into Alec's side poking a hole there in Alec's ribs as he shield began to hum then SNAP it zapped the wasp with stored up charge of static electricity. Alec's swing continued and slammed into the second wasp ad well opening a huge slash there at well as Alec brought his Shield around and blocked the wasp's stinger away harmlessly. As Alec's swing finished out it slammed into the third wasp as well delivering another deep slash across another wasp. The wasp dove in and dug its stinger into Alec's side digging another home there as his shield began to hum then SNAP it zapped the wasp causing it to explode in a shower of red pixels. As they flitted and darted Aleve calmly and patiently awaited their move. Finally the pair if wasps darted in and Alec swung his axe down from over his shoulder at the leading wasp and prepared to defend himself. He brought his shield up before him to ready his defense should he need to. As the wasp darted and skirted around Alec followed its movements patiently and waited for it make the first move. When the wasp finally darted in Alec brought his Mithril Battle Axe back up over his shoulder and swung down across his body aiming for the flying wasp. When the wasp came within Alec's range he swung down and watched as his mirrored axe head passed right through the wasp cutting it into two pieces that hung in the air for a moment before both halves exploded into a shower of red pixels that rained down and disappeared into nothing. As he turned to look he saw and enormous wasp hovering in the dead center of the field with a banner floating over its head. <<Wind Wasp Queen>> "All right." Alec said as he glanced over his shoulder to grin at Humphrey. "Let's party!" With that Alec took off at a run across the field his shield held before him and his mirror finished Mithril Battle Axe trailing behind him as he streaked across the field a roar of battle bellowing from his soul as he drew on the energy to power a Sword Art. The energy flooded into him like a raging river and coursed into his Mithril Battle Axe causing it to vibrate and glow as the energy increased so to did the vibration and the glow of his axe. As he neared his bellow morphed to a roar as he leapt mightily into the air and soared at the Wasp Queen. When his flight brought him to her he swung his vibrating glowing Battle Axe down as it crackled with lightning with all his being placed behind it. The giant wasp stabbed at him with her rapier sized stinger but Alec moved his shield and the giant stinger scraped harmlessly off his shield. Slow and steady swing and block swing and block and allow yourself to be hit to trigger your shield Alec thought to himself as he stood from the one leg kneeling position he had ended his attack in. Alec brought his shield back up in front of himself for protection as he raised his Mithril Battle Axe up over his shoulder and held it poised ready to swing as soon as the Wasp Queen flew within his reach. As he stood waiting she swooped in at him stinger first and Alec raised his shield as he swung his mirror finished Battle Axe down on the giant bug. The Wasp Queen thrust her rapier sized stinger at Alec and sank it deeply into his thigh leaving a pencil sized hole in his leg that trickled red pixels into the air. Alec brought his shield back in front of himself to provide protection from the Wasp Queen and her stinger as he raised his Mithril Battle Axe up over his shoulder and held it ready to strike. Alec quickly scrambled to his feet and stood up brushing dust and dirt from his body as he rose. When he had regained his feet he brought his shield up before him and raised his axe into the air above his shoulder ready to swing. The Wasp Queen thrust her stinger at Alec but he lifted his shield and twisted it diverting her rapier like appendage harmlessly to the side and safely away. The Wasp Queen thrust her large stinger at Alec but he swept his shield up and angled it causing the Wasp Queen's stinger to scrape harmlessly off it and to the side away from Alec's body. Alec brought his shield back up I'm front of himself to increase his defenses against the Wasp Queen as he brought his Mithril Battle Axe back up over his shoulder and prepared to swing when his chance presented itself. As the mirror finished head buried itself in the oversized insect his shield began a low hum that ended with a CRACK as it released an arc of stored up static electricity that shocked the Wasp Queen causing her to seize and convulse as he muscles locked up and she became Paralyzed. As Alec's axe but deep his shield also began a low hum which ended in a loud CRACK the jolted the Wasp Queen with a strong stored up charge of static electricity that caused her muscles to lock up and for her to become Paralyzed. As she began to shake off the effects Alec took the moment to take a deep calming breath as he lifted his shield up to protect himself and brought his Mithril Battle Axe up over his shoulder ready to swing. She buzzed in fury and thrust her stinger at Alec but he calmly raised his shield and twisted forcing her stinger harmlessly away from him and off to the side. The Wasp Queen stabbed at him with her stinger but Alec adeptly repositioned his shield and safely blocked the attack off to the side and away from his body. Alec repositioned his shield back in front of his body as he brought his axe up over his shoulder and readied himself to swing again st the giant insect. The Wasp Queen stabbed her rapier sized stinger back at Alec again, but again he shifted his Shield slightly and blocked the attack letting it slid along the surface of his shoulder and slip harmlessly off to the side. Alec moved his shield to protect himself again as he raised his Mithril Battle Axe back up over his shoulder ready to seeing it into the over sized insect again. The Wasp Queen thrust her large stinger at Alec again but again he casually shifted his shield and allowed the attack to flow away from him without harming him. Alec moved his shield back it's protective position in front of him as he moved his Mithril Battle Axe back up over his shoulder ready to swing at the Wasp Queen as soon as a chance opened itself up to him. Her stinger slid off the side of Alec's shield and lodged itself in his shoulder leaving a small he there as a reminder it had been there. Alec 0 Posted April 18, 2019 Author #35 Report Share Posted April 18, 2019 Spoiler Alec - Lvl: 18 / HP: 351/360 / EN: 20/36 / DMG: 5 / MIT: 40 / ACC: 2 / EVA: 0 Humphrey - Ready Wasp Queen - HP: 20/50 / Damage: 20 Alec went for a swing at the Wasp Queen but as he planted his foot his footing wasn't secure and he rolled his ankle and tumbled over falling landing on one knee as he swung his axe at the Wasp Queen. The Wasp Queen stabbed down st him with her stinger glancing off Alec's shield to pierce his shoulder leaving a small hole in its wake. Alec grunted in pain and stood up pulling his shield back up in front of him to re-establish his protection while at the same time bringing his Mithril Battle Axe up over his shoulder do as to be ready to swing when the chance presented itself. Spoiler Roll: 115119 BD: 8 (Success) 5 DMG MD: 1 (Critical Fail) CD: 10 (+ 1 EN Regenerated) As the Wasp Queen swooped in Alec swung his axe across in a diagonal swing that chopped across the Wasp Queen's midsection opening another slash there that released yellow and black pixels as Alec drew his axe head across her thorax. The Wasp Queen stabbed down to retaliate but missed sinking her stinger into the ground causing herself to become momentarily stuck before she wrenched herself free and retook to the air. Alec 0 Posted April 18, 2019 Author #36 Report Share Posted April 18, 2019 Spoiler Alec - Lvl: 18 / HP: 351/360 / EN: 21/36 / DMG: 5 / MIT: 40 / ACC: 2 / EVA: 0 Humphrey - Ready + 1 EN Regenerated Wasp Queen - HP: 15/50 / Damage: 20 Alec swung his Mithril Battle Axe in a wide diagonal arc that chopped a hefty chunk across the main body of the Wasp Queen that expelled yellow and black pixels from it as Alec drew his axe free of the gap. The Wasp Queen buzzed in anger and stabbed down at Alec missing him and burying her stinger into the ground becoming stuck for a moment before she flew up dislodging herself from the ground. Alec brought his shield back up before himself as her hefted his axe up onto his shoulder and prepared to swing again when the Wasp Queen's defenses dropped. Spoiler Roll: 115120 BD: 2 + 2 = 4 (Fail) MD: 7 (Success) 20 - 40 = 1 DMG (Thorns Activates 9 Unmitigated DMG) CD: 6 (+ 1 EN Regenerated) As the Wasp Queen dove down stinger aimed fiyr the center if Alec's chest he raised his Mithril Battle Axe and swung at the Wasp Queen but misjudged her speed and swung a moment too late as her stinger contacted Alec's shield and skidded along it before plunging into his shoulder and leaving a small hole there. As the Wasp Queen's stinger plunged into Alec's shoulder his shield began to hum then SNAP it arced a stored up charge of static electricity shocking the Wasp Queen and forcing her to fly away buzzing angrily. Alec raised his shield up in front if himself to defend against the Wasp Queen as he raised his Mithril Battle Axe ready to attack. Alec 0 Posted April 18, 2019 Author #38 Report Share Posted April 18, 2019 As Alec sliced his mirror finished Mithril Battle Axe through the Wasp Queen's body leaving two separate halves that quivered and shook before they exploded into two separate showers of yellow and black pixels that rained down to the ground and then disapated into nothingness he heard a triumphant chime. Alec looked down to the ground where the Wasp Queen had been before she exploded and saw a small vial lying on the ground with a green liquid inside and a small banner over it. Alec reached down and picked up the vial turning it over in his hands as he inspected the item. The vial had a strange green viscous liquid within it and a banner over it that read <<The Matriarch's Stinger>>. Alec smiled to himself as he took the vial and placed it within his inventory receiving a triumphant chime and a banner in his vision that read <<Quest Complete>>. Alec 0 Posted April 18, 2019 Author #39 Report Share Posted April 18, 2019 (edited) Alec called out to Humphrey after he had placed the <<Matriarch's Stinnger>> vial inside his inventory "He pal feel like helping me look around the area for a hidden Treasure Chest or anything?" Humphrey let out a loud growl as he walked around for a short time before laying out and lounging in the bright warm sunshine of the field. Alec just chuckled at the bear cub as he did a detailed circuit of the field and the surrounding treeline searching for any hidden items of value. He had found several Tier 1 Materials already on the trip out here that it seemed a feasible idea that he might find something hidden out here in the Wasp's field. He found several small caves it large holes that he assumed were nests for the Wasps that he peered into and dug around during his search for hidden items of value, mainly hidden Treasure Chests. Alec reached down deeply into the holes searching for any and all hidden items of value. Spoiler Roll: 115125 LD: 17 (Success) As Alec reached his arms into one of the large holes or small caves he felt a very familiar rough wood and cold metal feel as he grabbed ahold and pulled yarding a Treasure Chest of the hole and placing it on the ground before him. Alec 0 Posted April 18, 2019 Author #40 Report Share Posted April 18, 2019 (edited) Alec ran his hands over the worn wood and sturdy iron straps that made up the Treasure Chest inspecting the box as he removed his Mithril Battle Axe from the loop at his hip and raised it up over his head. Alec paused at the peak of the Battle Axe's arc and took a second to take a few deep slow breaths to calm himself before he swung the mirror finished axe down aimed for where the worn iron lock was looped through the thick iron hasp. As Alec's axe flew true and struck the iron hasp and lock there was a spark of metal on metal as the mirror finished axe head easily and cleanly cleaved through the hasp and lock causing the lock to fall to the ground and explode in burst of grey pixels. Alec reached out and grasped the lid of the Treasure Chest and lifted the lid praying it wasn't another Mimic like last time.
