[F13-PP] The Fall of The Mute <<CTC>>

Recommended Posts

I once more find myself doing this quest for the third time as i once more have vanity armor on in a similar style to my Prometheus armor, the shield equipped with the metalic spikes along it, my curved sword Harpe, and than to top it all off the necklace given to me by the floor twenty three dark elf queen. A crescent moon that is black with a bit of starlight twinkling in it. Than right next to it being the snowglobe life mending trinket. Making my way through the floor i go towards Miraak as i than pause looking at the NPC as i look at the man and just keep that impulse down. Opening up my menu as i flip through the options till i land on a name in my friends list and decides to send her an invite. 'The more people here the more i can make sure that i don't end up dying because of those loot mobs because dang do those hurt.' I think to myself remembering how well that went last time i did this quest with Sey.

Neo was busy laboring in her shop, making sure she had a decent stock. Not that it seemed to matter when there was people who had the funds and were willing to completely empty it all in one fell swoop. Then again, maybe that was for the better. Meant she got paid quite a bit considering they take all the excess stuff that she makes and would otherwise not get sold. As she was taking a short break, she got an invite from Hestia. It was for the thirteenth floor. Neo had been meaning to go there anyways, so she figured it would be a good idea to take someone along with her. And hopefully someone she could trust quite well. After all the things said at the raid meetings though, Neo wasn't sure quite who was really who they said they were anymore though. Making her way to meet Hestia, Neo quickly drank one of the many potions from her inventory to buff her damage a little bit. She knew that one of the bosses just negated all buffs anyways, so no point wasting stuff from her own shop.

Looking towards the quest NPC i wait patiently for Neo's arrival as i take out a few buffs as i quickly consume them to preapre myself mentally for the trial of death that i am going to have to face off against in terms of my loot mobs. 'Any amount of healing that i can get is healing that i can use to sustain myself since i don't have Sey's or Domarus' AoE anymore to take them out in waves.' I think to myself with a bit of hesitance as i just nod knowing that getting some of those boss drops would be useful in future raids against more floor bosses as i smile at the thought of using more of these buffs, and what the other horseman of the apocalypse could have as drops compared to the ones that i've faced so far. I then focus back upon reality and see the face of the NPC Miraak and just turn away from him still not wishing to humor that NPC as i review my gear and nod my head feeling satisfied since it as perfect of a gear set as i can get for the combat ahead of me. 'Though do i need a sword...mm probably the worse that happens is a loot mob tries and fails to hit Neo.' I think calmly to myself.

Buffs used

Field Ration T3
Immolation Potion T3
Water Canister
Double Tent
1 rare accuracy buff

Neo was quickly to the thirteenth floor and waved towards hestia once she found her. It would be good to do some more questing with the premiere tank. Ever since Shield announced he and many of his friends were leaving, a power vacuum had formed, leaving peopel to take it for themselves. She knew she wouldn't be able to fill it herself, but perhaps she could make sure she was with good standing of those that did take it for themselves. Then she could focus on making sure it didn't turn into a spit-balling fight at the next meeting. Either way,, that was not the sole reason he was here now. The primary objective she had was to figure out what to do with this weapon and how it worked. She wanted to make sure that she had the knowledge in order to face it down some day. Looking towards Hestia with a bit of blind courage in her eyes, she waited for her to signal for the two of them to get going.

When seeing Neo i send the party invite towards the ice cream girl and once it is accepted i look towards Miraak and accept the quest once more with a audible sigh of disappointment unable to help myself with that very gut reaction as i glance towards neo and offers a smile towards her. How are you doing Neo? It's been quite a bit since we have had sometime to just talk and enjoy ourselves really. Also, i figured out some new build combination which i am happy since it allows me to be as useful as i can to everyone as possible. I say sounding rather happily about that as i than gesture for Neo to follow me as i make my way in the direction of the quest's beginning which is right outside of the town where the corruption starts to kick back up once more. Knowing the fall of Artamiel had unleashed a wave of purification which did help a bit, but it still left land corrupted from supposedly the quest's reason being horseman of the apocalypse corrupting the land further beyond just Angel Point. My familiar Kuro flies alongside me.

Neo accepted the party request from Hestia once she received it. As was usual with most of the front liners, they wasted no time in chit chat before already making their way towards the quest objective. Neo nodded in appreciation for Hestia finding more stuff for her own build, but was mostly not concerned with it. Neo knew how powerful Hestia was, and that would probably make portions of this quest quite difficult. At the very least, it should also provide a good way to get some Col and unidentified gear as they would be fighting things that dropped them regardless of their own levels. Flipping open her black parasol to cover from the diluted sun, Neo sent a thought out so Roman was ready to start attacking once they came across some mobs. Feeling a little thought come back to her, she knew her familiar was close by.

As i make my way through the vast nothingness of the floor to get to the corrupted sections of it i glance towards neo and offers her a smile. So than Neo how are you doing? Like seriously last time we talked was at the floor boss meeting, but i didn't ask you about how you were doing after the whole coliseum thing. You kinda just collapsed on Haz and i there so i was wondering if that is something you're still going through. I ask in a gentle tone of voice doing my best to be careful when approaching this as i glance towards the side and sees that we're still a fair amount of distance from the corrupted part of the floor. Though when we do get their the signs of the walking zombie like creatures appear as i look at their health bars that are all still just a singular bar. Not offering much insight to at least myself on their strength just knowing they all seem to have the coloration of being average mobs for myself. Not knowing that they might show up as high dangerous coloration for the crystals for Neo.

Neo gave a little smirk at Hestia's comment about not really talking. As a short explanation as to why she was doing that, she popped out her sword slightly from the concealed sheathe inside her parasol. The blade was blacker than a moonless night and seemed to pulsate with negative energy. It was the reason she was here in the first place. Looking forward and seeing the shambling creatures come forward, Neo finished pulling out the sword in preparation for the fight. She was going to wait for a howl from Hestia to cement her position in not getting attacked, but a sudden impulse came over her and Neo attacked the nearest one with her attack. It seemed to do about a quarter of its health, but that was nothing compared to how much she usually did to creatures that looked as weak as this. They were scaling to Hestia, and that could turn into a very large problem down the road.

Looking towards Neo i smile as i see her use that new Rapier too what seems like rather good effect even though i do now realize i have no idea what that things even does for combat. Without wasting time i rush forward with my curved sword in hand to start cutting through three out of four of the mobs with the sword art as a arc of blue light trails and disappears just as quickly from the blade. The light from the sword art as i cut a path along the enemies. Dancing around them to get their attention towards me as i just raise my shield and blocks the same three hits from the enemies i sliced into. However, i wasn't as lucky with the last who slammed into my body and knocked me off balance enough to miss the swing aimed to cut along the creature's chest. Pushing it away i quickly reposition myself away from the group of four who are focused upon me. You didn't really answer my question though Neo. I say sounding confused.

Neo just shook her hand in a so-so motion, her default answer. There wasn't that much emotion going on right now. All there was was what was in front of her in the moment. And at the moment, there was an enemy in front of her. Taking another swing at it, the darkness from the blade sprung forward into what seemed to be beams of energy. In reality, it was just the blur of Neo's blade, but it was dark enough it seemed to be some malicious force springing forward to reclaim the shambling monsters that tried to attack Hestia. As the beams struck, portions of the monster started to turn to a black dust. It was already shambling, but it seemed to be even slower now as well. Only a matter of time before it fell. Wanting to keep the damage as evenly spread as possible to maximize the thorns damage that Hestia had, Neo turned to look for whatever was seeming the strongest now. No point to keep them waiting and she wanted to make sure they finished this group off effectively.

Looking towards the group of mobs i smile when seeing Neo take out a decent health off the second diseased one as i rush forward to quickly follow up as i cut into the horde once more as i manage to hit three of them and miss another as the difference this time is being able to use my shield to block each hit directed towards me. I glance at each of their HP values and nods my head quickly at seeing them all rather low as i smile towards Neo. Hey neo think you can weaken the second one down towards barely any HP? I have search skill so i can benefit from it to try and get some better loot to try our turn at getting something nice from these enemies. I say towards the pink haired girl with a smile across my face as i get out of the horde of mobs once more having their attention still on me.

Neo just nodded towards Hestia's instrucitons. SHe didn't know of the searching  skill that well, so she just took Hestia's word for it. Without hesitating, she quickly used her sword art against the diseased one that was in front of her instead of going for the nearly full health one lingering towards the back of the pack. The one she struck went deep into the red of its health, nearly dying, but still enough of a buffer that Neo wasn't worried about anything of hers kicking in too early. It would be enough hopefully for Hestia's thorns to kill them off. At the very least, it meant that it wasn't going to be of much use for long. Popping back behind Hestia to make sure it didn't go for her, she waited to see where she would need to strike next, her parasol lowered in case something did come her way still.

Quickly firing off towards the mob i smile as i cut through one of them and the other dies upon my shield since it means that i can work on increasing my health once more and prepare for the next group with a field medic once i start getting close enough to needing that. 'This is strangely going much faster than what it did with Sey.' I think to myself as i than nod towards Neo and gazes towards the two remaining mobs and nods with a smile. I guess the plan is to topple the oen with the highest health since we can than just work on picking up the loot that they drop since search helps get beter loot when you kill mobs. I inform Neo with a smile upon my face as i loot towards the two remaining mobs as i check my Hp and see that i've managed so far to stay above the halfway point unlike the previous times with facing loot mobs in hordes.

Neo just nodded towards Hestia with the plan, she realized there wasn't too much use or the stuff found here. Maybe to identify it to get a chance at bartering them off towards others. Or maybe just save them up to rank up another merchant. With Shield pulling a dissappearing act, there was not only a power gap in the front lines, but also in the merchant market. It would have to be filled before she stockpiled too much of the stuff she was hoping would get her the enhancements that she wanted to complete her build. But for now, a little joy in taking on a monster. A strangely evil smile crept across her face as she halved the health of one of the monsters. It was retribution for things she didn't know she wanted retribution for, all guided along by some mysterious compulsion she couldn't quite place her finger on.

Looking towards the duo i once more rush forward and cut into the two enemies as one is left with barely enough life and the other burst into red pixels dying as i just nod my head. Well one is left so Neo do you want to just kill it yourself, or want me to just continue with these sword arts slash just use my field medic and allow the creature to die on my thorns? I ask the pinkette as i wait patiently for that as i than glance around as a realization comes to mind as i check my HP bar as i see it reaching that halfway point as i look confused. 'Wait that doesn't get to this point until the next group why am i as low as i am right now. Where are the heals that you get. On. This. Mission.' I think to myself in surprise and the slow realization sets in as a irealize something that should've been going on this entire time and would've been a huge help in the fight.

Neo stood back as the shambling creatures died on Hestia's blade in their attempts to take her down. Though she was down quite a bit on her health bar, it wasn't anything that couldn't get healed up. Gesturing towards it in a manner to suggest that Hestia finish off the last one remaining, Neo flicked her parasol out of a defensive position and sheathed her sword back within it. There was no point in hiding it, as the enemies hardly seemed intelligent, but she still liked it to be much less cumbersome. Neo watched as the finale of this little fight would begin. As she did, she noticed that it felt like someone was missing, then she remembered they were supposed to have Miraak with them. He had said he'd follow along in the dialogue she mostly ignored when accepting the quest and they had forgotten to pick him up. Guess they would need to be going back to get him after this fight here.

Rushing towards the mob i quickly swing and cut into the mob with four wide arcing swings as the creature bursts into red pixels and drops mainly col which i am completely fine with having since i do need to save up for my guild hall. 'on top of saving up for a regular home as well to help me better in raids.' I think calmly to myself as i than look towards neo and sees the NPC Miraak just standing their calmly reading through a bible before glancing up with a smile upon his face. A calm and collected look. "ah i see you handled that quite well." He says as i just glare at the NPC as it goes right back towards reading the version fo whatever bible that he is holding as i just sigh loudly and audibly at the fact that this is a actual thing within Aincrad. The last night of Arabian Night's is broken, and now this. Jeez how many other glitches can this game produce.

(out of combat recovery 1)

Neo stood there with the last mob finally defeated. It was nice to see that there was a quick way to take these things down, but it seeemed as though it had still taken its toll on the two of them. THough Neo wasn't any worse for wear on her health, her energy had certainly taken quite the little dip. It would be tough to keep this up, and helped quite a bit that Hestia was not just being pourely defensive like the times Neo had gone questing with Shield. As powerful as he was, he was so stubborn in having no offense. It was honestly probably holding him back, being over reliant on his partner Beat. Come to think of it, were those two ever in love or did they just want the slight bonuses being married gave them. Knowing the two of them, it very well could be the latter. Though there very well could've been a secret relationship masked by the want to be the best. It was an interesting thought.

I put a hand gently against my chest as a light green glow quickly surrounds my body as my HP skyrockets back towards full almost as i nod my head with a smile upon my face as i gaze towards neo and just give a singular nod towards her with a confident grin across my face. If you are good to go for another 3 attacks with your rapier if things go well, and if Miraak isn't lazy we can than get things going rather well for the both of us. So than Neo you good to go for another round for fighting mobs already? I ask the pinkette curiously as i wait patiently for an answer not wanting to assume her stance on wanting to progress forward on what is truly just a grueling quest in general depending on the route that is taken. Though finding it pretty easily luckily between myself and Neo if anything, and hopefully if Miraak participates having some extra heals will go a long way in keeping me from wasting a turn using field medic, or prepare me for having higher health  in the next turn around of mobs.

Neo nodded towards Hestia. She was unsure whether or not it was worth waiting on her energy restoring or not. It seemed as though it wasn't for now though. At he very least, she was worried about running out before they finished taking out all of the necessary monster before they could fight the boss. She would certainly want to recover as much as she could before then though if at all possible.

Well, let's see what this next wave of monsters has in store. Probably more of the same.

Or perhaps a practice for you to eventually apply to those less dead.

Get out of my head, I can't take it.

Why do you think I'm constantly in it?

Neo shook her head clear, she had to figure out how to deal with this thing inside of her head. Whether it was from this weapon or not, she needed to know why this had started.
