[F13-PP] The Fall of The Mute <<CTC>>

Recommended Posts

Looking at the pinkette shrug her shoulders i sigh a bit at that response having hoped she would at least give her opinion about something in any sort of capacity beyond just this weird neutral point of being. Looking up towards the sky once more i see my energy recover once more to a point of being nearly full to prepare against the next group of mobs and then finally close out this quest rather quickly. So Neo before we face off against the big bad bosses of this quest will you need time to recover and get your energy back towards being full or will you just need more so just go in guns blazing to handle the opposition of the horseman? I ask curiously to see if more buffs will be needed or not as the memory of fighting war comes fresh into my mind of the rather tough fight since it included making sure Miraak lived throughout the  entire thing comes freshly to my mind.

Neo listened to what Hestia had to say, and quickly sent a message over to her.

Quote

We can go straight in after this last group of enemies. I'll want a little bit to get some more buffs possibly though. Depends on how tough the boss looks I guess.

Once she had the message sent to Hestia, Neo was ready for the last group that they would have to face. She cricked her neck just a little bit so that it was a little bit loose for the fight to come. She didn't want to lose herself to the frenzy once more, but she was prepared for the worst to happen like it did last time. There was no knowing whether or not she would be able to control this weapon. It was getting more and more powerful the closer they got to the source of its power. It seemed to wield its influence over her like it was its own entity, even though she knew that to be impossible.

Well if that is the case lets try and get back to our feet we got a quest to complete and only so many hours left in the day to try and complete it as smoothly and quickly as we can manage Neo. I say as i get back up onto my feet and begin to head deeper into the town making my way to what i can remember as the central point in town where the governmental office of this town was formerly located at from what i could remember of what i believed it was. The building that had the mayor label across it as being the building where all of that came down to business to complete. My feet leading me down the streets making my way past some of the diseased enemies that walked and patrolled the town in search of players or NPCs to feast upon to satiate whatever is meant to be controlling them this time around be it War once more or something else entirely that i have not faced against before.

Nodding towards Hestia, Neo went looking for the next group of enemies. It was quite likely to be found within this building, and sure enough they were there. She was about to go charging in towards one of them, but ended up being held back by the 'healing' effect of Miraak. Seems it kept you in place for a little bit while doing so. Staring back towards him with a glare in her eyes, Neo just waited for Hestia to take the lead on this fight and hopefully get some damage in before Neo had to pick up the pacing a bit with her single target damage. That was at least what she hoped. Hestia may still end up waiting for Neo to get a hit in before going for damage herself. Not that unlikely with the pattern they had been following  currently. But perhaps they could deviate from it.

Looking towards the four shambling zombies i quickly rush forward towards the group of four as i quickly cut into them one by one as their health drops by at least a decent bit with the use of charge aiding immensely in that increase in a damage output against these creatures. I should think of adding evasion debuffs to my regular use of items during combat against any enemies that could be considered important it would go a long way in the everything build. I say with a grin across my face with that ever so slightly realization at something i could do to try and make things easier on myself and also by proxy easier on my teammates during combat if the evasions debuffs were used a bit more liberally during some moments when against some boss mobs to make the combat fly by a lot faster.

Neo just gave a knowing look to Hestia. She knew where to get evasion buffs if she needed them. Then again, she hadn't been back to her shop in quite some time now. Perhaps they could accompany her back there and she could see what orders awaited her. She should make sure to keep her skills sharp instead of letting them fade away like they were likely to do if she didn't go back there again. The fight in front of her yanked her out of thoughts of her shop though as she attacked the healthiest looking enemy. It was a powerful attack, but only took off a small chunk of its HP. She really wanted to hit a higher tier so that not only could she say goodbye to this weapon, but also be able to actually match the damage of higher level players. She was sick an tired of feeling behind in this game.

Activating butterfly illusion i quickly try to make my way towards the zombies as my blade slashes into three out of four of them, but myself manage to get struck by all four with two of them hitting my armor instead of my shield as i quickly just back away from the horde with a annoyed look on my face. Well that could've gone better, but no time like the present just keep my health up and keep on tanking. I mutter softly to myself with a nod of my head as i see the field medic counter go up meaning i could use that to stall out a singular turn if need be. Checking through the mobs health values and then checking my own after the damage that i took and nods my head knowing i could take about two more rounds of hits like that before i would need to heal myself back to doing something decent like that.

This fight seemed to be moving along quite quickly right now. It was nice to be having the fights go a bit quicker now, it meant she was getting that much closer to making her decision. But did she really want to make this decision. Did she truly wish to be stuck with this weapon in her head or did she want it out. Would making a choice even get it out of her head? What if it tried to fight back? These were all questions circling through her head as she continued to cut into the mobs in front of her. She needed answers and they weren't coming anytime soon. She needed to get to the source of the corruption, and then she would have the answers to her questions. Once she had the answers, she would have the way to deal with this weapon she wielded.

Quickly activating butterfly illusion i once more charge towards the enemy with my blade in hand as i manage to hit each target once with the curved sword lowering their health one by one. Until i finish off the last enemy as i then look towards Neo with a nod of my head and a smile upon my face as i focus on the one with the highest amount of health. If you can Neo hit the one with the highest if you're able to do so that way we can sweep up these enemies the next turn and then just rest up before we face off against any of those horseman. Trust me we don't want to go into such a fight with nothing but the most preparation in terms of our health being as high as possible alongside our energy. I say towards the pinkette in as serious as a tone i can have as i then focus back upon the four enemies who still seem ready to try and trample me.

Nodding towards Hestia's request, Neo quickly took her blade to the healthiest one remaining. Her rapier bit into the flesh of the zombie, leaving it left with a face of agonizing pain. Even though it was dead, it seemed to be suffering. She left it on the edge of its life now, reveling in the torture she had brought it. It's health was deep into the red now, and before she could finish it off, she snapped out of it.

I need to do something about this.

Yes, join into our shared goal. Bring pain to those who wished to hurt you.

But these people have done nothing to me. They are monsters for crying out silent.

But they could be monsters both before and after their death.

Could be, not were. We cannot do this to people who we don't know what they did.

But we can, we have the power to do so now

Quickly rushing forward i slice through the four mobs as they each burst into red crystals and when they do so i look through the rewards and nods my head at the only good reward that was gained from all of this. Well at least there were some perfect armor and a perfect trinket out of that group. Could've been worse really like more uncommon gears, or worse a intermediate dungeon map. I say with a shudder at the thought of getting a dungeon map from this group.Glancing towards Neo i nod my head and then quickly just sits down upon the ground not wanting to move for awhile now to just recover as much health that i can get from all of this and subsequently as well my energy. The memory of doing this quest with Sey and the battle iwith War and the fight being fresh in my mind and how horrible it was.

Neo noticed Hetia slump down onto the ground as she was preparing to rest. But Neo could feel another feeling emanating from deeper within the building. Drawn towards it, she stealthed about until she found the source of it. One of the apparitions floating above what seemed to be a seal of darkness. This was it, the source of the weapon's power. Miraak was behind her, and quietly started the routine dialogue.

"There it is, the guardian of the seal. Kill it and we will be able to free this land of corruption."

Neo rolled her eyes at the cliche dialogue, and walked into the area. The apparition seemed to speak towards her, acknowledging her intelligence.

You are not here to cleanse this seal are you.

She shook her head.

But you are here to cleanse something still.

A nod.

Then I'm afraid we are at ends, for I am the embodiment of death and all things that must end.

Neo loosened the weapon within her parasol.

So be it.

"Hurry, I will weaken his hold on this plane so that it is easier to rid him from it. You cannot kill him, merely banish him."

And then, two voices spoke in harmony inside of Neo's head. We'll see about that.

And with that, a furious slash came from her sword, paralyzing death in the face.

They say death is what you should fear. But the fury in your eyes suggests otherwise.

I would watch Neo make her way and strike against a figure that i have never seen before some floating figure holding a scythe as i would only watch as two things happen simultaneously from the position that i have found myself when combat had started. Having been mid action of field medic as my health restored to near full as my eyes just widen at what is going ot be required of me to make things actually make sense and work out for our survival against this new and unknown enemy. As the voice of the creature identifying itself as Death as i just nod my head at that and gets up onto my feet to prepare to try and intervene only to see a blinding lgiht from two different sources having to cover my eyes for my own safety. When i check back into the area where the fight is happening i see Miraak having lowered his hand, Death having burn marks along his body, and then finally Neo standing over the form of Death who looks like it is having difficulty actually moving. Hey Neo call for a switch we can switch our hate if i land an attack! i call over towards the pinkette.

Neo didn't hear the call from Hestia to switch as the figure of Death rose from its position. Sure it may be hurting, but it wasn't gone yet.

You are a tenacious one to still be here. Normally the form of me alone sends people running. Yet here you are, still staring me in the eye. Just, don't spit. As nice as that metaphor is, it is disgusting.

Neo gave a smile towards the being, knowing full well the power that she faced. She could feel her weapon pulsing from it as well. There was not going to be a pretty end to this battle, no matter the victor. This being was going to give her the answer she needed. If she could beat it, then she would be able to conquer her weapon. There would be nothing to stop her from winning this battle  for control over her own mind.

Looking towards the figure known as Death i just sigh to myself in frustration as i just quickly act as fact as i can as i just rush forward towards death and quickly carve into hsi health bar with my own attack with my singular focus dps attack as i look towards the embodiment of death with a grin upon my face one of a challenging look as i get his attention. However, my efforts for doing so are met with the same response that i got from thsi horseman's brother war as a strike against my armored form that sends a wave of black energy past me into both Neo and Miraak activates as i watch my HP plummet but somehow end up back at full according to the bar as i just stare at that bar in utter bafflement. I am sorry what.how is my HP at max if i just took damage what just happened!

A black wave of energy brushed past neo, she barely felt it though. There was no stopping the rage that was building up inside of her. But this time, it was controlled. This time, she had it directed, and knew exactly who she was going to be going against. A glint formed in her eye as the black energy coalesced around her weapon, courtesy of Miraak trying to contain it to reflect. Her weapon then glided through the air, and landed with an explosive power right at death's chest. a Singular thrust filled with all the power he had just sent against them. She sent the apparition careening back through the church hall. There was no escape from the wrath of ice cream. She would be fighting this battle to the brutal end.

And then, we finish this. We will answer this question, and the victor will emerge.

Looking towards Death i charge towards the figure once more as my blade slashes into the form of death over and over with repeated slash attacks as its hp plummets slowly but surely until it is just one attack away from dying against the power of my sword as i just smile happily at the success of that. 'Okay just stay calm and we can push through this Hestia just stay calm and continue pushing forward.' I think calmly to myself as the form of death with his scythe once more swinging forward and lowering the health of mine and Neo once more to being smaller then what it was moments ago but still somehow at its maximum amount as my battle healing once more seems to crush my form instead of heal it. As a black residual aura surrounds my form as i just glare at the form of this death doing my best ot keep calm since it is making things much more difficult then what War had been able to do in comparison already.

Another wave of energy came out from death, whittling their health down even further. As it did, Neo once again sucked up all of the un-holy energy and stabbed her blade into the seal on the ground. As soon as she did so, the dark energy started to course through the blade and into her. She couldn't let go of it now, not that she wanted to.

Good, we can settle this once and for all then.

With that, she fell into a trance, unlikely to be waken up by it until all of the dark energy of the seal had finished entering into her now. Miraak tried to siphon off what he could to spare Neo, but it was little use for him to do so. The seal had already found a new host. Even though it was once bound to an entire floor of castle Aincrad, it had found itself someone much more mobile than before. It was going to try to use it to wreak havoc on Aincrad if it could.

Quickly moving seeing Neo just suddenly stop mid battle i cut into the form of Death with my curved sword to only be met with a strike in return as death then cries out from the thorns finally procting and killing the creature known as death with its final breathe as it instead of bursting into crystals just turns into dust and fades away. With a satisfied sigh of relief i lower my blade as my own along with Miraak's, and Neo's health shoots back up towards its original amount but still keeping the empty amount visible. Looking back towaards Neo i still notice her weird out of of it state as i slowly walk over towards her cautiously ot really knowing what to do in this situation holding tightly to sword and shield the memory of the first floor boss of Aincrad within my mind of the story of how it controlled players coming to mind. Not wanting a repeat from this quest.

The fight was over but Neo was unable to tell that from her current state. As the energy from the seal continued to flow into her, she could feel her mind fighting a war within itself. And as it was being fought, images seemed to flash from the black energy swirling about her now. An image there of someone looking like Neo but with black and green hair yelling. A caramel haired girl teasing the viewer while the faint sound of a school bell echoed in the background. The hooded face of a killer, an orange crystal above their head. The crazed eyes of a red-haired woman, chasing after. A white haired girl, smiling, before fading into black.

The world hates you, and now you have the means to go back against it.

But there is still so much good to be had there.

And yet you know you wish to fight it. You crave revenge, ever since you were a little girl.

No I don't.

Of course you do. After all, I am you.

And with that, the black smoke suddenly sucked itself into her body, morphing it, recoloring it. Collapsing onto the ground, Neo would wake to find herself a changed woman. She wouldn't hold back against the pain any longer. Her rocky road would melt before her gaze until the streets ran with caramel.
