[F13-PP] The Fall of The Mute <<CTC>>

Recommended Posts

With a nod of my head and a smile i make my way forward along the path towards the town that the quest takes place for knowing whether to charge directly towards the horseman, or if one would have to take a gable and fight more mobs. To fight them and get more loot but be able to check around for anything more of value. Glancing towards Neo i can see the distracted look within her eyes tempted to comment on it, but feeling that if i did she wanted me to know what is bothering her she would just tell me most likely. 'Or not. I mean i don't know her that well beyond a few quests, and her being the frontline cook girl. I should probably put a bit more effort into actually getting to know Neo if i want to work with her in the future.' I think to myself in a slight bit of realization at once more finding out how little i probably know of the people i work with. Though the thoughts are interrupted as  after a few more steps the appearance of four more mobs appear shambling forward as i just prepare for my sword art charge against the creatures.

Neo saw the next group of enemies ahead of them and an out of breath priest running up behind them. Time to take her mind off of things. Going straight for the first one she could like last time, her blade turned black and left scorch-like marks on the shambling monster she wanted to kill so badly. The priest left no comment about her using his own weapon, but he did release a sparkling light that brought Hestia all the way up to full health. Neo was a little bit disappointed that he didn't do any more, but he was a basic NPC at this point. There really wasn't all that much that she could expect to come of the priest now that his time in the spotlight was over. Probably just the game trying to save on its own processing power, reduce the latency of other players as best as they could.

I see a light surround me as my health increases all the way back towards full as i just nod my head seeing that miraak is indeed helping us this time around as i quickly rush forward towards the ground of mobs after Neo charged forward. My sword art activating as i move within striking range as i manage to hit every single one with a swift attack with my blade cutting int oeach and every one of them one after the next. My shield blocking the hits and redirecting the attacks away from it as i just smile happily. Having seen most having dropped by a fourth, and the first that Neo hit having been dropped into the yellow which is rather amazing for just the first turn of combat. 'Helps that i don't need to compete with Neo over who has the highest hate so i don't feel like i'm risking her life unlike Sey.' I think calmly to myself not worried about my energy consumption at all.

The two of them were making decently quick work of these mobs, and Miraak was keeping them fairly topped off with health. Though Neo didn't feel like she was doing much, her strikes at least seemed to be doing something. It was a lot better than the last time she was in a situation like this where she ended up contributing practically nothing and watching creatures die on a tanks thorns. That was not an exciting fight whatsoever. But now she at least made a dent in their health bars. though a quarter with her largest sword art really wasn't that much, ti was at least something for her to have completed. There was two of the monsters now under half health, and the other two were still fairly healthy, probably only down about a quarter of thir health. Hopefully they could remedy that quicker than they did last time with the help of Miraak.

With a grin across my face i once more activate the sword art that i used previously and quickly goes in for another attack against the enemies as my blade cuts into each of them once more as i keep a running total of their HP values in my head so i can know what to do for each of the mobs in question. With how things are going it is just the last two that have the yellow health bars that might be the issue in terms of finishing them off easily. After the AoE i nod to myself rather pleased with how quickly this is going by as i look towards Neo and than just prepares myself for the next attack. Not needing to say anything to the girl since i figure she would know what to do in this case when it comes to a general plan of attack. 'i wonder if Neo will be able to offer some insight on what occurred during that event boss.'

Neo was about to strike at one of the beasts once more, when a sudden pain wracked her head. It was like it came from nothing she had ever felt before, so painful yet resonating from nothing. A voice seemed to wash over her like nothing she had felt before. It seemed as though it was coming from somewhere, yet the voice she heard was her own internal dialogue.

Turn on your friend, you know you want to.

Why would I do that when I can get further with her help.

GO it on your own, everyone is just dead weight to you.

I need a hand up, that's the only way I can progress.

That's not what the people in your school thought. If you want to get ahead, you have to cast them aside.

But this is different, this isn't school.

This is but another lesson. People have just started lying to you that you're done learning.

Acting quickly i rush towards the group of mobs and quickly cuts into them leaving them all in the red or in the case of one of them destroying it entirely as it bursts into a shower of red hexigons as i just grin and turns towards the remaining alive ones. Shield up i knock away the attacks as quickly as i could from the possible impending death that was trying to come down upon me. My health still remaining immaculate as ever though overall. Comparatively so more so than anything else though because of the fact that i did buff myself up for this quest this time around. With sword and shield in hand i look towards neo with a slightly worried look having seen her just freeze up twice now during this short little combat stint. 'I am asking her when i get a chance what is up with her.' I think to myself in a worried manner.

Neo was sick and tired of the voice in her head, but that was what she was here for. Even all the quest rewards in the world couldn't stop her trying to figure this thing out at this point. She needed answers. Why was this blade doing this to her? Was it even the blade? What was causing these things to happen? Regardless, she had to move forward to actually face these thoughts and be able to take them out once and for all. Lashing out with her blade, she used a slightly weakened sword art to not quite kill the monster. The blade left a triangle on the body of the creature, its health deep in the red and in a prime position for Hestia to finish it off for the better loot chances. After her attack had finished, she quickly retreated in case another wave of thoughts came over her like before.

I rush towards the group of mobs as my curved blade quickly cuts into each and every one of them with a quick AoE strike as they each burst into red hexagons, but the rewards for such a thing are abysmally low that they must've all came from the same loot pool to get these kinds of rewards. 'Well at the very least i have when i did this with Sey that was a nice loot run.' I think calmly to myself as i glance towards my own inventory as the number of rare trinkets are only increasing more and more by the second seemingly anytime i want to fight loot mobs. Looking back towards Neo i just nod my head towards her as i then glance forward doing a quick mental count of mobs and realizes that should've been it possibly for the eight mobs we would have to had fight before reaching the town. Demon's End wasn't it now called. I ask myself softly.

Te two of them had made it to the little ghost town that was the objective of their quest. Her weapon was pulsing even stronger than before now, and it was trying to take control. For now though, Neo spotted another group of mobs and went after them. Her blade turned even blacker than it was before, if that was even possible. And Neo quickly found herself consumed in the violence of taking this group down. It was a strangely surreal feeling, but she relished in the bloodless loss of these creatures health bars ticking down ever so quickly. If someone watching her didn't know her, they would likely mistake her some some ravenous mob instead of an actual player attacking these things.

Good, let the hate flow through you. You know you want to give in to it. To feel the power this revenge is granting you.

Seeing Neo take the lead i just quickly follow up on her attack as i activate butterfly illusion alongside the other two abilities to make sure that my chance to hit these things are as good as i can get as i then charge forward towards them with sword in hand. Quickly cutting into each of them and using my shield to block two attacks out of three as the spikes dig into their forms as i just smile at the rather great moment of success overall. Quickly counting their health that they are at and my energy i just sigh softly knowing that i don't have enough to push myself through another group even if i wanted to do so. 'Though that is to say that Neo couldn't go through that either, and that is assuming that we run into something like Greed. Though in all honesty we could also just get lucky and pick up that rather amazing unique rapier thing i found as well last time.' I think to myself with a rather happy grin across my face remembering the fallen weapon that was designed to pierce through anything comes to mind.

Neo continued to attack, a new target this time, with crazed blood-lust in her swings and in her eyes. The only sound that came from her was the slashing of her blade through the sickened skin of the monsters. There was no end in sight to this rampage, but she was willingly succumbing to it. She had no clue why she was doing this, but it was what she was going for. She felt like she wanted this violence. This revenge to right wrongs she never could in the real world. Perhaps it was an overreaction, but that was fine with her now. There was no reason not to overreact, her inhibitions were vanishing before her very eyes. As the diseased one sat there with scorch marks on its body, Neo started to look for her next target. Though her eyes flicked to Hestia for a moment, she seemed to come into a slight clarity, but was immediately turning back into a frenzy as her eyes lit up against another of the monsters.

I look towards Neo and sees the quick movement to strike at the next enemy as i just nod my head at that since it at least means things are going to be moving as swiftly as we can through these loot mobs. I catch the slight glance from Neo as i see the look as i just keep that way from mental reference after we take a break from fighting to recover energy and HP after this fight. Moving forward once more i slash through the enemies once more knocking their HPs to be around the same health block when comparing them from one to the next. After the attack i glance towards the loot mobs once more and grins seeing that they are all quite viable since in the end. having one be lower or one near death to die by my blade for that nice loot is useful. 'Which i guess all these tier two loot is just going to be heading towards tier one players once they hit that tier two levels.'

The frenzy didn't come to an end just yet. Neo was trying her best to tear into the monsters with uncanny efficiency. Though no sound escaped her lips, it was clear as day on her face the rage that was coursing through her. Not even she knew exactly where this rage was coming form, just that some hand was guiding her to let it guide her. The dark and foreboding aura of the place wasn't helping either, but it was what drove her to halving the remaining health of one of the creatures. Left in range for Hestia to finish off herself, she let the diseased ones shamble towards her instead. As she did, Miraak let a green swirl around Hestia, healing her for some of her health. It wasn't much, but at least it helped somewhat to fight off these creatures. Every ounce of assistance was being welcomed now that they were getting low on resources.

Looking towards the zombie like enemy i quickly rush forward with curved sword in hand as i quickly cut through the group as swiftly as i can as i glance towards Neo's energy supply and just nods my head at that. Figuring that in all actuality while it is low that will just permit for a break to try and recover the energy that we're both rather low on from just nonstop fighting against the three groups that occurred back to back. The home stretch Neo just one more hit from the both of us and hopefully that last mob will just burst into crystals like his compatriot. I say over towards the girl trying to just act like i'm not noticing the slowly mental decline for the girl in terms of her acting rather strange compared to her more usual and cheerful...well i think it is cheerful hard to tell sometimes with the girl not speaking. A tone of voice can go a long way at points.

Neo was running quite low on energy, but her frenzy was only waning slightly. SHe toned down her attack to slightly lower sword art, but was still able to swing at the mobs with as much force as she could muster. It was only a little bit of damage, but still something for her to have done. Hopefully Hestia would be able to finish off the rest of the monsters on her own. Neo stood there, her frenzy finally wearing off. She could tell she had done something she shouldn't have, but still felt like the anger was worth it. She had caved into it willingly, let it consume her and drive her actions. She was just thankful that no one was around that couldn't defend themselves. Even if she had accidentally gone for Hestia, she knew she would still be safe. Either that or they had been faking their tanking skills this whole time.

Looking towards the group of mobs i quickly activate the sword art as i rush forward towards the group of three as my blade quickly cuts into them as they each bursts into red crystals soon after as my energy stores deplete into being empty as i quickly just take a calming breathe due to having low energy. Backing away from that group i go over the loot that was just received and nods my head at he rather decent amount all things considered for what was gotten from this group of mobs. 'Though in reality i only really need the col by this point since i've done everything else i can with this.' I think to myself with a smile upon my face especially when thinking of the drop gained from this quest of having thorns also when you grit crit hit against by an enemy. Neo lets take a break we're way to low on energy to continue this for now.

((OOC recovery 1/3))

The rest of the mobs remaining finally went down, and Neo was standing there, just nodding along to Hestia's instructions. As she sat there, she felt a weird sparkiling dust encircle her and Hestia. A random healing that seemed to do nothing to either of them coming from Miraak. WIth a roll of her eyes, Neo just stuck with her thoughts to herself. Was she ready to face what this weapon had to offer her? Did she truly want to risk unleashing all of its power into herself just so she could use it better. Or was she going to be stuck with this fight between two entities forever.

It's a painful choice, but a necessary one.

Says the one who wants me to make it now instead of letting me have the time to decide.

But you know you want this all to end. It is only a matter of time before you succumb permanently.

Putting my hand against my chest i activate field medic as a light green aura surrounds myself healing myself for as muhc as it is possible as my health shoots back up by a fourth lamost as i just smile rather happily. After the brief light courteous of my mod activating and then stopping i lean back against the ground as i look towards the pinkette known as Neopolitan. So Neo which horseman do you think we'll face off against? There is War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. I say towards her listing them off quickly while raising a finger for each horseman to let her have a easy way to nonverbal list off which one she thinks it could be. I then look towards the dark skies of the floor in some thought. Personally i want to avoid War since i don't think we can handle War personally from what i remember doing it with my friend Sey since it will only go badly if we face War possibly. I kinda want to face off against Famine.

((OOC recovery 2/3))

Neo shrugged her shoulders at Hestia's comment. She didn't know much about the four horseman of the apocalypse, just what had been mentioned in passing during school. Maybe there was a fad about it at one point, but it just seemed like something she'd rather avoid. At the very least, she was confident that the two of them could take on the bosses. Then again, they wouldn't be here if that wasn't the case. She had a few more buffs stored away, but was debating if she wanted to use them or not right now. Probably would depend on whether or not she wanted to use them if the boss looked tough.

At least I'm away from my school now. No more bullies bothering me.

But why not have no more bullies bother you ever. You could take the upper hand, defeat them before they could even think of hurting you.
