[PP-F22] Treasures and Riches

Recommended Posts

An older guy, one that probably did not fancy technology, he ended up in this sort of world. Oh the wonders of technology, out of all places for such a thing to happen. Sey merely shrugged when the big man began to apologize for something that more or less didn't really matter. Maybe there was just a lot of pride to protect or something. "Go easy on yourself, boss. Welcome to the game, newer players arrive on the spot daily. Though I guess the 'gamer' tag suits anyone since we are all playing this twisted game anyways." How lovely for both of the tanks to relate to each other. And while they had that chance to bond with each other, Sey's purple orbs would lock onto the next set of enemies for them to take on. A lovely set of feisty Snappers, they seemed to be accompanied by two bigger turtles made out of metal. As if such a dungeon should have any less to be expected. Fine fine, they were nearly done, right? Whatever, he would just vanish for the moment before giving them a harsh kick towards the other duo. "Enjoy some free rewards."

Alec nodded at the other man's advice to go easy on himself, but as we all know that rare gem falls on deaf ears as we're each our own worst critic and Alec was no exception to that rule. As he watched the white haired man rush in a deal a devastating attack to the group again Alec stood back and admired the man's prowess he was definitely a Front Line damage dealer and that was very respectable. Alec rolled his shoulders at the appearance of of the two newer turtles they definitely looked out if his league do Alec kept his focus in the smaller pair as he brought his shield before him and raised his Mithril Battle Axe up over his shoulder ready to swing. Alec enacted Lightning Axe again causing his axe head to glow and spark arcs of lightning as he stepped in and swing down chopping into the first of the more normal turtles taking a chunk from it as the lightning left his axe head and danced and played across the turtles body as Alec stepped back to allow the female tank Hestia to step in. "I'd never actually thought about joining a guild before." Alec offered with all seriousness. "I had nothing to offer. I didn't even know how to function within this environment but I can see the advantages to being surrounding by like mind people I tent in helping each other and I won't lie it is very appealing." Alec finished in his deep baritone rumble.

With curved sword in hand i quickly activate charge as i get low to the ground as i then charge towards the group of four turtle based enemies as my sword cuts into all of them as their health drops a good bit by my blades against as i  dance around them with a smile across my face not being that worried at all about anything when it comes to these enemies since they seemingly can't hit me at all. Looking towards Sey and Alec i just nod my head towards them to give the slightest signal to once more just charge in and mess them all up with whatever attacks that they could muster to take them out. This is going a lot easier then what i was  expecting. I say with a chuckle having expected some kind of bite to these enemies that were just beyond a simple slight scratch to my armor and health, but that might be because i've gotten use to near death experiences.

The man swung that axe around like it was nothing, add a bit of base damage and it would have easily been comparable to Sey's... And there was a tier difference. No way in hell was this guy going to be a slacker on the frontlines. Though he definitely was a bit too high with his hopes, perhaps a father was meant to be? Sey knew far too little, it wasn't like he planned on having children anytime soon. Like-minded people? Uh... Well... Uh... Poor guy was in for a treat, that was the least that Sey had to offer. If one was cold and calm, there was one that was fiery and feisty. If there was one that was insane, there was one that was completely numb to it all. And that was just four people. The new guy would probably be the most normal addition to whatever this guild was supposed to be. But he would let Hestia go on first, she could reassure him better than a realist could. Except... She didn't. "Well, uh... No worries. I doubt we have any real restrictions. Just don't die? I think I like all my players alive, but the jury is still out on that."

It was advertising and marketing, but Sey wasn't making profit, so he would probably just be blunt about the situation. Maybe it would have been a better idea to focus on the turtles instead. They were slowly weakening, thanks to the help of the other two, but now it was time to add a bit more to the pot. Another charge was applied and his hopes would be high in the damage that it inflicted, for it would be a DPS loss to use them on the metal ones when he could just single target them. Time will tell. Maybe it was just best for him to shut up and do some damage, that plan never failed him before. And so he would, following up with Hestia before swinging a massive gust of wind with his leg towards his targets. Success~. Now to sit back and listen to the two talk further until a chance for him to intervene came to light. And so the cycle goes on.

Alec let out a deep low whistle of admiration towards the white haired damage dealer Sey. Alec had to give it to the man he was lightning fast and hit like a Mac truck. Alec was surely glad he was fighting with the man and not against him. This guy would destroy him in one shot no doubt Alec thought as he gave the man a nod of deep respect. Alec knew he was the weakest here by far but just like Macradon had told him at the meeting he'd take every chance he could to learn from and about these people he hoped to one  day share the Front Lines with as long as he could push himself to earn and deserve the spot then it would be worth it all. Alec took another deep calming breath as he brought his Shield before him and raised his Mithril Battle Axe up over his shoulder and stepped in to swing again at one of the non metal Snappers again. As Alec brought his Mithril Battle Axe up over his shoulder he again activated Lightning Axe and caused his mirror shiny axe head to glow and dancing with bolts of lightning as he swung down and again chopped a chunk of shell free from the turtle as lighting jumped and danced from his empowered axe into the turtle. As Alec stepped back he spared a quick glance at both the Front Lines Assault Team Members gauging their reaction to his performance. He really hoped they approved but worry always nagged that he might be being judged poorly. As he moved out of the way to allow Hestia to step into the gap he'd created.

Quickly utilizing the opening that i can get to try and help Sey out with sweeping up these mobs i quickly strike out with another AoE as i manage to only hit one of them this time around as i let out a soft sigh of annoyance at that fact as i back away from the mobs keeping that in mind for myself. 'Can't hit me as easily, and can't be hit as easily as well i guess that makes sense why the turtles up above and in the dungeons are different. Maybe it is like protecting some kind of evil humanoid turtle like society. Or it is just a very aggressive cave of turtles. I'm spending way to much time thinking about these kinds of things.' I think to myself as idly thoughts float through my mind distracting me rather well mid combat as i quickly try to refocus back upon the combat that is going to be right in front of me as i adjust back towards the present and knowing that going into the next fight is full or nothing.

It seems like a whistle came right after, one of approval if the timing was anything to go by. And while his AoE damage output wasn't where he would like it to be, he could appreciate the attention! Sey would return the nod with a calm grin, this man wasn't half-bad in the slightest. A bit low on the numbers, but he was humble despite being so ripped. People like this, these were the ones he needed to have in his circle. If there was anything to make up for the fact that he lacked the damage in his eyes, it was the fact that he could never miss, no matter how much the system wanted him dead. They were having trouble before and now they were killing it. All they had to do was keep this consistent and they would find themselves approaching the big boss himself in a short amount of time. How lucky, single targets will regret crossing their path, Martial Arts was extremely unforgiving of those who stood alone. Speaking of which, he needed to soften up the metal turtles so that Hestia could finish the metal ones sooner than later. The DPS loss wouldn't be there either. And so he would aim a powerful wind-filled first towards one of the metal turtles before giving it a harsh kiss to the shell. An explosive impact that brought that health bar into a critical state. One more to go. "There is more DPS gain if I stick to solo targets, make sure to clean up, guys."

This white haired Front Liner was incredible Alec thought to himself he'd never seen damage like this before but then again this was the man's job to annihilate this opponents with astronomical amounts of damage and this man could produce Alec thought to himself as a fierce smile began to break through his perpetual scowl. Alec nodded to himself he wanted to be to Tanking what this man was to damage. Unfortunately his other companion sounded like she was a preeminent Tank so to get to where he wanted to be he'd have to find a way to become better than her. Tall orders both but gave a hard nod of determination as he raised his shield and stepped forward raising his Mithril Battle Axe up into the air and preparing to swing into the sole remaining no metallic turtle. Alec charged up his batyle axe with lightning energy and swung at the Snapper but his timing was off and the lightning energy sailed off harmlessly into the air beyond his target. NO!!!!! Alec thought to himself mortified. NOW OF ALL TIMES NOT NOW!!!! He knew he had been pushing it trying make a good show of his skills but why did this have to happen in front of these two Elite Players. Alec took a deep calming breath to steady himself as he drew on his deep reservoir of resolve and stepped back rolling his shoulders. "Can't hit em every time I guess." Alec joked as stepped out if the way and allowed the professionals to do their job. I just showed he had a lot of distance to cover till he could hopefully one day call himself their equal.

I chuckle a bit at Alec's comment as i can only nod my head in agreement as a particularly strong memory of that exact case comes to mind as i look towards the man with a smile upon my face as i say in a rather calm tone of voice. Trust me missing an enemy is practically a daily occurrence for me so don't feel bad about missing a target it's just a matter of rolling with the punches more so then anything else, and if you focus on tanking and healing attacking will be tertiary in the chain of event of things you need to do unless you got some AoEs in that axe and some good damage to back up. Since hey apparently fighting spirit and taunt could make for some great hate gaining abilities i've learned. I say with a chuckle as i focus back upon the three enemies as my blade glows a blue colored light. As i cut two of the mobs into red lights i check the loot and just look towards Sey and starts to laugh to myself since this is way to funny more so then anything else. Sey we forgot one important thing when we thought of doing this. We forgot that we could end up earning more dungeon maps while doing this dungeon. Cause guess what we did.

Taunt and fighting spirit were too good, Sey remembered racing poor Hestia with that in order for her to keep her hate because he didn't have his fighting spirit refunded yet. All those good times, but now they were out of that. Alec missed, typical considering the nature of the game. Hestia wasted no time to reassure him that it was normal as well, so then comes the fact that they got yet another map. If Sey's eyes could roll any further, they would be staring at the back of his head. "Out of all the useless-..." A map, come on now! Whatever, they could start giving maps out or something, he would rather do that than deal with these stupid maps on his own. They were experience points, yes, but they took so much time as well. At the very least, he could try to make up for it by charging towards the last Turtle. One punch was needed to cause the decimation of the metallic enemy, forcing it to cough up a decent amount of col and some weapons as well. "And just like that, we at least got some useful loot."

Alec nodded his head in appreciation at Sey's phenomenal striking and damage dealing abilities. If all the Front Lines damage dealers were as good or near enough how did any Boss standing their way Alec thought to himself. And Hestia had done a marvelous job keeping the attention of every monster. Not a one had strayed from her, she was definitely at the peak of Tanking as well. Alec had a lot to learn from these two and as many other Front Line Raid members as possible. He wanted to be as close to on par with them as he could. "That truly impressive!" Alec stated in his deep baritone rumble. "If I've learned one thing today it's that I have a long way to go till I can even hope of asking to join your ranks and stand by your sides in an form of real Boss level combat. But you've given me hope and refined my focus with a more visual goal of what I need to become. For that I'll be eternally grateful and in your debit." Alec stated matter as a matter of fact. "Thank you very much for all you've allowed me to witness and learn from your both in this short amount of time." Aleve took a moment to open his inventory and moved an item from his normal inventory to his Battle Ready Items list placing his Luck Stone on the third slot if his Battle Ready Items just in case he ended up needing it. You never knew what could happen he thought to himself.

Putting a hand against my chest i quickly activate field medic as a green aura washes over the area not affecting Alec or Sey as myself gets healed back almost a fourth of my health as i look between the two with a grin upon my face and a nod of my head. Looking towards Alec i just grin towards him as i finish up the field medic mod as i chuckle and rub the back of my head afterwards from a bit of embarrassment causing a lack of adequate or any words to be said. Well i'm glad that i helped without even really meaning to do so, but for now lets just sit down and relax since i am kinda stuck waiting to be back at full health since that mini boss hits like a truck trust me it isn't fun for a tank to face that thing. I say with a chuckle escaping my lips as i then literally just sit down upon the ground and my familiar joins me sitting down besides me as the lion with fur as white as the snow and wings as black as the night rests by my side. Though from what you're building Alec i think i see a stun tank in your future if you go down that route since i could imagine you just forever stunning a mob to keep it down.

"Ay, whatever helps you out, you'll get there once the third tier happens. Though if you coud go fishing for unique enhancements, definitely try it out. Try the flame or frost auras, I heard they protect quite well. If you were a tier higher, I could trade you a certain armor that might help you with that." Sey had little use for it these days, it mitigated damage well enough but it wasn't anything special since he had to get hit for it to be fully functional. Being a DPS player, that was something he would rather avoid doing. Now it was resting time, for Hestia's health and Sey's energy were in a critical state, they would not be fighting any big boss at this point. Deeper inside the dungeon would be a glowing treasure chest, easily obtained for those with the luck enhancements, seems like they found themselves a decent treasure indeed. "Wouldn't you know it, guess who found a treasure chest."

Alec let out a deep low chuckle. "You Sir remind me if another Player I have recently teamed up with. A Merchant named Dagger has recently been hiring me as a bodyguard of sorts to run him through the combat portions and protect him during the tutorial quest line. This man is so lucky he finds Materials every where laying around and literally tripped over a Treasure Chest in the Cave Guardian quest. I see you gayve some of his same luck. I happen to have a lucky rock here if you'd care to borrow it. It's somee sort of clear stone with a perfect four leaf clover encased in side and offers a two slot boost to your chances of finding better cash and prizes (+2 LD)." Alec offered the other man opening his inventory and holding the stone out to him. I'm not sure if you have a spare key or not. If not you're free to use this lucky stone of mine." "As of now I'm not sure what I would have to offer other than to beginning Players. But if your intentions are true and you do seek to firm an institution modeled after the tenants you've told me I would be honored to try out for your guild and prove my worth to you both. Such as it is currently. If your organization holds those same morals and function I be honored to offer my services and my shield to your cause." Alec stated in a deep solemn rumble as he glanced between the pair of Front Liners he found himself sharing time and Battle with.

Looking towards the two i just smile as i get down onto one knee and opens up the chest with a golden colored key as i prop open the chest and show off the loot menu towards the duo of players as i just grin towards myself and nods towards Sey as i get up to my feet. This is like the third time we got this exact same loot screen i guess our luck is just on fire this time around Sey. i say with a chuckle towards the man as i just nod my head towards Alec when he mentions this merchant Dagger remembering the name from when Sey told me about it near the beginning of their grinding session this day as i keep the name in the back of my mind for when we want to identify all of this gear. Wait...how are we going to pay for all of these identifications? I don't think these mobs have been dropping enough col to pay for all of these. I say with a chuckle as i look towards the white haired player known as Sey.

Also Alec when it comes to our guild we definitely stand by our motto of helping out the lower leveled players so that we can get everyone prepared fro the frontlines and i guess we now have a method of doing just that with these dungeons maps it can help prepare people for what to expect in terms of working within a team like group and scenario. I say in a rather casual manner with a smile upon my face as i look towards the man in question.

The comparison to Dagger was nice for a much different reason than expected. It was more a comment on his luck, then came an offer to take a stone or a pebble. Did it actually stack with his current things? Sey would tilt his head to the side for a moment to ponder before then nodding it. "Thanks, and I'll definitely take it. Keep helping players and your level will be high up sooner than you think. Take this dungeon for example, I know you will be leaving this place with at least a level or two after this." And with that, he would take the lucky stone for himself. Maybe it would add onto his luck, that would be bliss for the scouting portion of his build.

"Wait, what!? Oh no way, of all the col we got, we have sooooo much pocket change coming out from the items even if we got every single one identified. Though the amount of times we would have to grind the Witch's quest..." Just the thought gave him a headache, it was just annoyingly simple. Maybe they could use a map there to kill time while they were at it.

"If the power level of this next boss you're talking about is exponentially larger than of the armored turtles then I'm afraid I won't be of much or any physical help this next fight. I could take a swing it two and hope to Crit thus activating my Shield of the Thunderhearts ability to expel large amounts of static electricity and Paralyze the monster but otherwise I'm afraid I won't be able to much more than scratch it's shell at best, as I can only assume it'll be some form of even more monstrous turtle variation based on the monsters we've sought so far. So if you'll bear with me and allow I'd like to share something with you both that has always helped bolster my resolve and strengthen my will in times were I found myself unsure or lacking." Alec began as the stood tall and broadened his chest and shoulders as he took a deep breath and began to recite in his deep baritone voice,

"Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."

Alec quoted in a clear deep voice fueled by his emotion and his own personal determination. As he finished he took another deep breath as if rekindled anew and looked to both Front Line Players with a deep fire in his eyes and a solid smile on his face.

Looking towards Alec i just offer a small and friendly smile as i shake my head from one side to the other as i look towards the future tank of the frontlines. I don't expect you you to join us much in the fight it's more so you join us for only a few moments then quickly make towards the point where the monster starts disregarding your presence entirely. That way we can make sure that you're safe since we are meant to protect your life as much as we can do so since we kinda did invite you on this little ordeal into a dungeon. I say with a small chuckle escaping my lips at that fact as i glance towards the way that would lead deeper as i still wait patiently for the last bit of the cooldown timer to run out so i can use the field medic mod once more to allow myself to stand against the boss. With the downside being that i am going into the fight with even lower mitigation then when i went against an advanced dungeon boss. 'Though i guess having Sey here will be enough to count for both Pinball and Zandra just three round shot the creature in question.' I think to myself to calm my nerves as swiftly as possible.

The man decided to get his chants out in the form of a song. Did they have a secret bard on their hands? Someone should give him a banner so that he could be the one to boost the morale of the ones on the battlefield. It would be a nice aesthetic instead of someone just waving around a flag, the latter seemed too tame for such a role. "Whatever gets you a boost, thank you for enlightening us with your medley." Sey replied calmly. Such a massive voive, such a tune with a heavy tone. He could already hear the next enemy shaking at the thought of the encounter. "Though if there are any threats to your health, we will pull you out. In case you wish to stay along for the fight. Some encounters... You might want to wait a bit on."

"I will follow and adhere to any advice you'd care to give me." Alec states plainly in his deep low rumble as he looks to the pair of Front Lines fighters he's just met. "I have a lot to learn and am more than willing to take suggestions, advice, criticism and flat out orders from those who are my superiors." Alec offeres in his deep baritone rumble. "Please. Give me instruction and I'll follow it to the letter. I know when to lead and when to follow, and now is when I need to follow the instructions of the professionals. So please tell me how I can best help, or stay out of your way. My shield, Axe and armor are yours to direct." Alec says with a look a deathly seriousness in his eyes. He not above correction especially from two such seated Players as these. Alec waits patiently for their suggestions, advice or orders which ever they may be.
