[OP-FF-01]<<Earning a Living: Blacksmith>>

Recommended Posts

He barely knew where to start in this virtual world and, his first idea was to look into the quest section of the game. Walking up to the board and looking through the different beginner quests, he smiled. Browsing through the menu, a few caught his attention. Earning a living, The First few lessons are free, and Making vows. Aro thought it was interesting one of the level one quests were making vows. "You can get marriéd een zis game, 'uh?" Chuckling to himself a little as he then pressed on the Earning a Living quest introduction.

Now on the topic of Earning a Living, Aro was considering a few of the different occupations. Performer, alchemist, tailor, artisan; there were so many to choose from. "Mon papa 'as regulair-lee tuld me to get a jenuine job!" As Aro named his father in his sentence, he let his fingers tap on the title for Blacksmith. Already, skimming through the different titles you could have in this kind of game. He did think to be a blacksmith couldn't be too bad he did like the sound of it. Something completely opposite of how he is in the real world. Aro then went on his way with the directions the quest told him to go. Now he had to go hunting for the Master NPC blacksmith by the name of Cerdic Leighton.

On his way to earning his title, he was somewhat excited about becoming a blacksmith and learning. Since he was going to have to live in this game for who knows how long and being proficient in something might help his case.

Arriving at where he would find the blacksmith, he found himself in a blacksmiths shop. Looking around he, smiled seeing all the tools and different makings of this man. Noticing a male in the workshop which appeared to be working here at the time and older then Aro was. Aro considered this to probably be the Master Blacksmith NPC he was in search for. "'Allo 'Allo! Aré you la un zat weehl bé showeng me le wais of le blaksmiv?" Aro asked as he smiled, hoping. Also hoping that the NPC's of the game could understand his thicker accent. He approached the guy as he heard the male begin to speak to him. “A blacksmith, eh? Well, you’ve come to the right place!” A man standing over an anvil and wielding an impressive smithing hammer greets you with a hearty guffaw. "Oui!" Aro nodded his head in agreement with the male's question.

"May not be the easiest or prettiest lifestyle, but the ole' anvil won't let you down when you need some sturdy weapons and armors." A few loud clangs ring out through the smithy as Cerdic drives the flat of his hammer into the red-hot metal of a straight-sword in progress, "Tell you what. Go scrounge up five pieces of ore and I'll show you how to use 'em along with a hammer of your own. There should be plenty in the caves past the southern forest--heck, you may even find some layin' around half-buried in the dirt! Just bring 'em here and we'll make you into a proper blacksmith." Cerdic nods with another boisterous laugh.

Aro seemed to be caught into a daze as he listened to the clashing on hot metal under the hammer. His eyes seemed hooked onto watching the hot sparks fly through the air and die to the ground with a fading short life. "Beautiful," Aro mumbled. Then realizing he was spoken to he seemed a little surprised. "Oui, Monsieur!" Becoming a little louder with his hand going right on the nap of his neck. Rubbing the back of his neck a little awkwardly. "Soothairn part of le fairest got eet!" Aro, spun on his heel not facing the blacksmith then started to walk. Before he got out of ear range, he turned his head and smirked at the blacksmith. "Don't wairry. Ai weehl be bak soon!" Waving himself away as the blacksmith waved him on.

Aro went into the direction which seemed to be south. Hopefully, it didn't take him long to find the five ore items the blacksmith needed to show him how to start out in this profession.
