[Event-F22] Star Crossed Lovers [Tier 1]

Things stopped going smoothly. In fact, they were all going downhill in terms of energy. It wouldn't be long before the entire party would have to simply go into an all-out-defensive tactic as they regained energy. As long as they could withstand all the hits, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. It would make the battle long and tedious, but they would still have a chance at victory. For now, she would attempt to take the opportunity to finish off the Rain Minion she'd tried to attack previously. She attempted to strike with the Sword Art known as Neutron, but it seemed that her latest attempt was just as good as the last. "I can't just keep trying to strike them haphazardly. I need to watch closely. I need to watch their movements, to avoid getting damaged, to successfully strike them back...I just need energy to apply offensive tactics...I'll need to go on the defensive soon..." She thought, anticipating the onslaught yet to come.

As Bahr looked around, he noticed that several of his party members were missing attacks this rotation. Not good. As he looked upon the Rain Minion that he and Kirbs had just tag-teamed, he could tell it was low on HP. He looked at Kirbs and gave her a nod. "Wanna combo this thing with me?" he inquired as he charged up his blade. He didn't exactly have time to wait for a response - once the Sword Art was queued, it was going to go off whether he wanted it to or not.

He dashed forward and let the Sword Art rip, spinning on his heel and carving into the mob several times. As he did so, Kirbs rocketed forth and a Sword Art of he own, puncturing the creature and causing it to combust into a cloud of triangular blue pixels. He raised his arm and gave Kirbs a high five after they had dispatched the amphibious miscreant, proud of their accomplishment.

Kityuisa ran forward, watching as people slashed at one minion. Kityuisa herself, aiming for a different minion. She wanted to do something good and she knew that everyone was over killing the one minion she had attacked last round. Kityuisa grinned, stepping forward and charged at minion number twelve. She stabbed and slashed her dagger across it before leaping back to her spot. Bahr seemed to be more focused on Kirbs, so Kityuisa just puffed her cheeks, turning away. He could do whatever he wanted to do. You aren't powerful... Kityuisa you're weak! Get yourself together! No one needs you here... Kityuisa felt a small tear roll down her cheek, so she wiped her face and tilted her face towards the sky. Her eyes catching sight of the dark clouds. The minions are making the weather change.. Her eyes turned backwards, her head now turned over her shoulder, her eyes tracking each minion as they moved and got attacked.

I would want to get involved at this moment but I did no damage at all to any of the monsters or even If I wanted new once kept coming and I kept getting hit. No matter how hard I tried my energy was getting low and I could not do much more after this as this battle was nearly over for my Energy. Taking a breather I went back a little bit looking at my party members who seemed to be doing just fine. No matter how hard I was trying to be the tank I could not do my job if new monsters kept jumping up and attacking everyone and not me. Standing there in the battlefield I took my hammer and looked around to see if any of the peoples needed help with a tank and I was not sure but I felt like I was completely useless again, just like old times. Nobody here needed a tank, nobody wanted me and nobody was listening to me at all. "Party 2, Look at their feet, they move in the same way if you know one then you would know the rest of their movement as well for all others," I said looking at the two players Dazia and Krysta as they missed their attack.

His teammate had taken some damage and a small little fishy jammed its spear into Dustin’s heart, and Dustin stumbled back and grabbed the spear, yanking it from his chest and pushing it away. “Odin’s beard these things never end.” He charges his hand and pats Arabelle’s head. “Don’t worry pal.” His hand, glowing green draws back and he charges in. The pitter patter of the rain slows down as he steps in close to the monsters. This would be so much better if the whole guild could be here. The green glow burns bright then fizzles out as the flop of his hand hitting a fish in the face.

His leg pushes into the ground and launches him back to Arabelle.

”I’ll protect you my fair princess. Your knight in shining armor is here to protect you.” He smiles at the comically over the top performance, he even bends on a knee and bows his head. “I swear my allegiance oh mighty queen.” He stands up and flicks her in the forehead, laughing a little bit and turning. “Get up shorty, pull your weight.” He runs back in towards the fight.

The hordes of minions prepared their attacks as they then charged towards the player the group pouncing upon a select few working more so towards bringing them down one by one in this strike. As they aimed their attacks as the strong and defensive ones. Many having missed their strikes with only a few having hit their home and met their marks. Including the one in the far back a spear through the heart to strike at the one who is waiting. The one who is biding his time. The horde turn thier attention towards their king and let out a war rally alongside their king when it had used its grand power as its roar echoed across the fighting space. After the collective battle war cry of the army they turn their attention back towards their foe ready to strike once more. The horde roaring and yelling at the players.

To Bahr's delight, the Rain Minion that Bahr had combo'd with Kirbs exploded into blue pixels shortly thereafter. He was so distracted that he almost hadn't noticed one of the others creeping up on him, clumsily taking a swing while he wasn't looking. He saw the attack coming at the last moment and narrowly maneuvered around the attack, spinning on his heel and charging up his blade. There was yet another disgusting fish waiting just beyond the one that Bahr had evaded, so he used the momentum from his spin to shred into it with all of his might, striking it four times in a circular motion.

His attack complete, he stepped back and observed as the creature's health dipped into the yellow. "How disappointing. When even a wimp like me can two shot you, you just know the others are having a blast with this." He looked around at his comrades. Their numbers seemed thinner than when this all started, but the Rain Minions just kept on coming. Was it possible that they had already claimed the lives of a few? Bahr was going to need to make sure he was careful not to end up fish food.

Krysta currently saw herself as having only one foe, yet this one was far more evasive than she thought it would be. One opponent, she was focusing on one opponent, and every attempt to vanquish this one Rain Minion has ended with her springing towards it, and it dodging the attack just in time. Either this tricky little creature was anticipating her attacks, or she was just getting the timing wrong. either way, this was starting to become irritating. "Alright, I see that you're quite an evasive one. However, you will not last this battle. No matter how long it takes, we shall defeat you all." Surely, the players could defeat the hordes, for the monsters were not powerful enough to strike down the players. Some of the weaker players might possibly need healing later on, when the parties' energy levels recover. Either way, victory was almost guaranteed, but it would take some time to get there...

"Psh." Arabelle laughed and shook her head at her second favorite guildmate's overexaggerated response. True, it was turning quite boring and she would honestly take that over the typical shouts of affirmation that many players were used to giving in the midst of battle. And it was more creative than whatever that battle cry was. What the hell? The small purple-haired girl visibly winced. It was unpleasant, grating on her ears like nails being dragged against a chalkboard, and she wanted nothing less than to be rid of these lizard-fish-whatever creatures and their ear-splitting cries.

"Tell that to our teammates."

Let's have an update, shall we? Tank and Healer had disappeared, their names and status bars having magically vanished from the upper-left of her interface. Maybe she yelled at the former too much. Whatever. Freeloader was still being a freeloader. Leaving her and Dustin: a team of two compared to the other team of six.

Perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Arabelle ignored the mook that landed a shallow cut on her side and deflected the attack of one she had set her sights on. Even with her energy at its lowest point, she was sure one more hit from her would kill it! Spinning her scythe, she sent it in a wide arc and sliced the Rain Minion Dustin had previously attacked in half.

Kirbs growled in frustration as she missed yet another attack. It was one thing to miss an attack, but twice? Damn, her luck must be getting sour. Not to mention that these things kept on coming and coming. When was it going to bloody end? She had plans today! And one of them was to enjoy that festival that these things hijacked! Can't she just get a day of some peace?

Well, things could be worse.

She could've slipped and fell on her face like Bahr did. Yeah, that wouldn't have been very pretty. She could also be stuck on the other party. She genuinely felt bad for Arabelle and Dustin. They were the only two fighting at this point. Their tank and healer seemed to have dipped and the other guy on their team is doing jack. Actually, she wouldn't mind being on their party if it meant helping out her buddies.

Dustin’s hand begins to glow as he nods to Arabelle. “I tried to tell ‘em.” He laughs as he runs in, his fist slamming into a minion and launching it back into the crowd of fish monsters. His legs push him back towards his only truly remaining teammate. “So whaddya say after this we jump that prick enjoyin’ the festival?” He asks her. It was a joke, but like all things with this wonder of a woman, it was a mystery what her answer would be.

Honestly speaking, Kadin would love this. Me by myself with a pretty lady and saving innocent NPCs from death. Oh boy I’d catch hell. He laughs, looking at Arabelle for a moment and nods to her. “Ya know, Kadin would’ve liked you.” He runs away from her, trying to keep the pointless little canon fodder from her. If there’s one thing Dustin’s good at it’s sweeping up a mess.

"Nyek, nyek, nyek," the giddy little Rain Minions cackled, hopping from leg to leg. From the way they giggled and roared to themselves, boosting their own morale in the face of the players they fought, it was painfully apparent their numbers were stretched and thin. From the looks of the once imposing army, it appeared as though the fight was finally coming to an end.

But that wouldn't stop these little gremlins! They would fight until the very end!

The groups of minions swarmed the players once more in a sea of slimy skin and spears. They lashed out, and yet again, few monsters found their mark. What weapons did impact and find those few chinks in the armor did minimal damage that went unnoticed by the Minions without fail.

While there weren't many of them left, they showed no obvious signs of retreat.

As Bahr surveyed the battlefield, he noticed that the majority of those who had left were from the adjacent team. It looked like they only had two left, plus Dagger. Knowing Dagger, he had probably already drawn up a lawn chair and mixed himself a mamosa to sip while he spectated from the sidelines. "Poor kids. Guys," he started, casting a crimson and verdant glance to his teammates, "I'm gonna go help balance out the other team. Let me know if you need my help."

(TRANSITION FROM TEAM 2 TO TEAM 1)

With that, he began his dash toward the other end of the field. It was unlikely that his team would need any help. After all, Bahr was one of the most underleveled people in the fight. They would be fine without him. Upon reaching the other side, he charged up his blade, charging straight for one of the Rain Minions that looked the weakest and flinging it into the air with a powerful uppercut motion. "Looked like you guys could use some help. I'm weaker than the rest of you, so focus on the ones with more HP. I'll pick off the stragglers."

Kirbs gave Bahr a mock salute as he announced that he was going off to help Dustin and Arabelle-- and that guy that was kind of doing nothing-- fight. "Make me proud, Bahr!" She called, giving him a small wave as he rushed off to help the other party.

Turning her heel to where the minions were, she sighed. This was getting awfully boring. There seemed to be no end and the ocean was just popping one more every time the players killed one, and not to mention that she was losing energy, fast.

Kirbs eye twitched as she watched a random minion walk around. Is he a new one? How long had that thing even been alive? How long has he just kind of been standing there?! The redhead sighed, again, and chased after it. She activated one of her more less fatal sword arts and slashed at the minion that's probably been alive for too long. Hah, no mercy!

It seems no matter what I did the minions kept coming and I was not fast enough to push them back at all getting my Hammer in my hand I looked around and got a bit nervous as I saw how many there still were and the moment that Party 1 lost a few members got me even more nervous and wanting me to run away, this was no good and I looked around trying to see eye over mountains only to see no way out for myself. I knew that running was not really an option now and no matter what I did I would not do any damage and these things are way to fast for me. But I had to attack and So I took my Hammer and went for an attack on one of the minions but is missed just by a hair as I looked a bit hungry into the Fish its eyes, "Stand still so I can get a taste!" I said low.

"If Freeloader somehow gets better loot than us, then sure." - But like it or not, they had to deal with the more pressing matters first. She glared at the annoyingly persistent Rain Minion that was somehow still clinging onto life with a small sliver of HP. Hnghhhh. Before it could retreat behind its teammates, Arabelle charged at the weakened lizard with her scythe and brought the heavy weapon down on its head; if the game counted it as a killing blow, she would have effortlessly cleaved it in half. She tracked the others' movements. One of the stronger minions blindsided her for an impressive 1 DMG. Another fell - though not by Dustin's hand (heh).

Arabelle turned her head.

Hey there, cutie. The guy who bought a familiar crystal from her shop had charged over to their side with an offer to help. "Much appreciated. Welcome to the team, sugar!" The small purple-haired girl smiled brightly and sent a party request his way. Yes, good karma really did exist! "Heard him, Dustin? We've got the weaker ones handled."

Apparently the idea of just waiting around and having the fight end while he was looking away didn't occur in his favor as a spear having met its mark hit him as he just sighs softly as the thing just bursts into pixels after it hit its target as he just watches the fight once more. Having barely even a pixel worth of damage done to his health bar since it was just a minuscule scratch on him. As he just watches calmly having seen from his sidelines seat that the rain king has basically been defeated with the might of the stronger players most likely, and that the other group besides his is fighting full force seemingly without anymore impediments towards their progress. Well things are seemingly just getting interesting for this fight. I wonder how long this will go though? Things are starting to clear up for the tier ones, but the tier two is struggling as well. He says softly to himself in wonderment and interest.

Kityuisa watched as Bahr took off to help the other party. Her eyes tracking his movements to make sure he had made it over safely. She let out a sigh of relief as she saw his figure attack one of the minions. Kityuisa turned back to her own party. You're weak. Kityuisa watched as Kirbs ran after a strangler, her own gaze fixating on the minion she had attacked last time. Her eyes narrowing as she dashed forward. Only to her demise he had seen her coming. He dodged just in time for her dagger to fly right past, dealing no damage to him. Kityuisa let out a small curse. Weakling. Kityuisa placed a hand over her head, Weak. Kityuisa backed away from the minions, her gaze glancing back at Kirbs, only this time it seemed as if she saw straight through her friend, Yui is a weakling~ Kityuisa continued to back away, until she landed on her rear end. She sat there shocked, unable to make another move, "I-I can't do this..." You're weak, that's why~

The Rain Minions started to cackle, their morale restored. However, Krysta still had plenty of energy at the ready. She wasn't afraid to continue her assault against the creatures, despite only being able to deal damage to one at a time. Her weapon truly was designed for one-on-one combat... Of course, she had her party working alongside her. Together, they would vanquish these monstrosities. She saw that one of her teammates left the party to assist the other party, which was not doing as well as hers. "Go forth, lend your aid, friend!" Were the words she said to him as he left to assist the struggling party. Krysta turned back to the monsters. "I can still wipe those smiles of your faces. Whether it be by keeping us alive, or by harming the likes of you, I will do my part in this battle. Do not prematurely celebrate your victory, for the battle has yet to end." Krysta declared to the Rain Minions. "Besides, I'm not even tired yet." She thought to herself. She readied her weapon, ready to strike her target. Perhaps it would be best that she saved her words until having made a successful attack, for the Rain Minions expected her attack. Her target dodged the attack with ease. "I just need to speak less, and strike sooner!" Krysta thought and decided.
