History 

Scarlet lived at an orphanage his whole life and never knew his parents. He spent most of his free time either playing video games or reading. He tends to stay away from MMOs. He thought that if you wanted friends, you should meet in person. He learned this the quote and quote, "hard way." He once made a friend through the internet. His name was John. Him and John would play a game, world of swords, every day. Eventually, scarlet learned that John lived in the same city as he lived in. Eventually, he got permission to leave and meet him. They chatted for a bit, played video games for a bit, and Scarlet left. Encouraged by this success, he decided to try to make more friends. Every time, they always left on the worst terms. Of course, he still made friends and liked friends. He just always had to be face to face. 

Obviously, he wasn't always successful in his endovers. Sometimes, he would just stay neutral, other times he would make enemies by being accidentally offensive. One particular enemy was Lucy. She was the daughter of a man who worked at some sort of game development/engineering company. She got really annoyed when Scarlet mentioned other popular games. She didn't act aggressive, she just was hostile. She talked about a game that was going to be more than a game, and how amazing but dangerous it was going to be. She said it would be called SAO. Scarlet didn't think much of it.

Life at the orphanage was good for him, and when he left, he got a good job, and he still had most of his friends. Then one day, John contacted him and told him that a game known as SAO, a VRMMO, was going into a closed beta. Scarlet thought it sounded interesting and decided to look into it. He learned that only 10,000 copies were being sold. He was getting ready to buy it, but then he remembered something from the past. "SAO is going to be amazing and dangerous,". Huh. He didn't remember where he heard that. Whelp, doesn't matter, I'm checking it out. He went to the store and when he got there, he saw an absolutely massive line, going on for a couple hundred feet. "Should I stay and get it? Or leave without it? Then again, since the line is long, it's probably amazing." He decided to wait for 4 hours straight. Finally, he got his copy. He returned to his home, turned it on, and fired it up. After all, he wanted to see what it was like. It was amazing, the graphics looked exactly like real life, the animation was amazing, and the NPCs realistic. He really wanted to continue, but it was late, and he needed to sleep for work tomorrow. However, he didn't know how to log out. So, he looked for someone to ask, and he heard someone speaking in a panicked voice, "The safety doesn't work! They said they placed an escape for me and there isn't one!". Scarlet recognized that voice. That was Lucy! He looked around but couldn't find her and eventually gave up. Then he perked up when he heard someone say, "Hey, whassup!". Scarlet turned around and there was John. "Hey bro, can't play now, but how do I log out?" "You open your menu like this and push the, button..." "What?" "Its not there." "Eh, probably just a bug." They decided to explore the starting city a bit. As they were walking, Scarlet began to realize something, as he saw people freak out. This wasn't a bug....

 

Personality 

Scarlet is kindhearted and keeps his head through difficult situations. Unfortunately, his head will be filled with random thoughts, primarily daydreams. He could be described as a friendly guy, for he like having friends and helping them.  
Virtues: 
 
Compassion - Scarlet would stick up for others and help them as much as he could. Unless it was with homework. He NEVER helped someone with homework. 
 
Endurance – Scarlet is mentally stable and is good at keeping himself there. If hardship hits him, he will push through to the end. Trauma has little to no effect on him. 
 
High Morality – Scarlet holds himself to a couple of morals. Firstly, if someone is in need, at least check on them before moving on. Secondly, do not permanently harm someone except for extremely dire situations.

Absentminded - Scarlet would always be daydreaming. If he wasn’t doing any physical activity, he was daydreaming. He specifically had trouble focusing on writing or typing. 
 
Overconfident – He would charge into most situations instead of waiting and thinking. He would also overestimate his abilities. Fortunately for him, this was not on the arrogant level.
