Recommended Posts

As Alec approached the pen continuing the hodge podge beast the large heavily muscled man quietly opened his Battle Ready Items list and swapped his Luck Stone back out for his Forearm Axe knowing he would need the added damage of the Battle Axe over the add Luck from his Luck Stone. Once he had reached the edge of the pen he walked around cautiously until he found the gate that led into the pen. Placing his hand on the wooden gate the large man opened the gate and slowly stepped inside the pen with the beast. The moment Alec closed the gate behind him the creature rustled and lithely sprang to its feet with a mighty flap of it's great leathery wings. Landing with a snarl as it ruffled it's fur with a shake and let out a deafening roar, obviously alerted to the unwelcome presence within it's pen area. Alec began to walk slowly towards the beast with his shield Mirror's Embrace held before him and his Forearm Axe hung loosely by his side as he eyed the beast ready for combat.

Alec approached the strange hybrid beast slowly and cautiously with his shield Mirror's Embrace held up before him in a defensive stance as he progressed ever closer. As he neared the creature he was finally able to read the creatures name over it's health bar "Manticore, huh?" The large man said to himself as he readied his weapon to strike. Alec reached out trying to activate a Sword Art but the game refused his request and his attempt the attack the beast failed as his swing was slowed and the creature lunged out of the way with a flap of it's leathery wings before it dove forward snapping and biting unbelievably fast landing two quick strikes on the heavily muscled Tank. Alec's armor did a good job protecting him but the Manticore seemed to have some special ability that allowed it to bypass some of his armor rating as his health bar dropped slightly from the large teeth and as Alec felt the skin around his wounds singe from the heat of its bite. As the Manticore retreated Alec took the chance to swing his shield twice slashing into the creature and dropping it's own health bar in the process. Yes! This was going to be a good fight the large man thought to himself with a smile.

Alec stood with his shield Mirror's Embrace held before him as he squared off against the horrendous patchwork creation before him. The large heavily muscled man had tried activating a Sword Art but the game had refused his commands and his slowed attack speed had allowed the Manticore to dodge his attack. While landing two successful bites of its own against Alec. The beast's jaws had sank deeper into his body than his heavy armor should have allowed. That compounded with the beasts fiery breath had dropped his health more than he'd expected no he faced the beast more wary of his opponent than before. Once more Alec tried activating a Sword Art but once more the game refused to head his desire as once more the Manticore lunged forward only landing a single hit this time as its teeth sank into Alec's heavily muscled body and exited leaving singed smoking holes in the man's hide while he swung his razor sharp shield around slicing deeply into the beasts hide opening another derp gash in its pelt. As the large tank reset himself he felt a warm tingling surge as his familiar Humphrey sent a coursing wave of healing energy flowing into his friend raising his health bar back nearly to full.

Alec did his best to curb his frustrations. Twice now he had tried to activate a Sword Art and twice now he had been denied. The game must be having a real vindictive streak, that or it was trying to reach the large man a lesson and punishing him at the same time. Alec let out a large exhale as sought to calm himself and regain his focus. After several deep breaths Alec tried to activate yet another Sword Art as he stepped forward. However when the large man's foot set down on the ground his ankle twisted and he began to rumble and fall as his massive arms pinwheeled for balance the heavily muscled man toppled like a fallen tree crashing to the ground amid the dirt and mud of the pen. The Manticore took charge of the opportunity presented to it and lurched towards the large man snapping and biting as it sank its teeth into the large man's probe body burning his skin with its fiery breath as it's teeth withdrew from the man's body. Alec swung his razor sharp shield up in a pair of diagonal slashes that sliced neatly into the creatures hide trailing red pixels as the beast backpedaled gaining done distance from the man laying on the ground.

Alec quickly scrambled gathering his feet under him and quickly standing up before the heavily muscled Tank brought his shield back up before himself to defend against the hideous creature before him. The large man too several derp breaths to calm himself before he reached out to activate a Sword Art and feeling a flood of elation as the energy coursed into his Forearm Axe causing the massive crescent shaped heads to begin glowing with an inner power. When the energy had reached its peak the large man bent down and quickly flexed his tree trunk like legs launching himself into the sky to come crashing down with a devastating downward swung of his arm slamming the crescent shaped axe heads into the Manticore chopping a huge gash in the creature. As the large man stood up the beast exhaled a huge jet of fire from its mouth. Instinctively Alec threw his shield up before him but between his shield and heavy armor he received little more than a sun burn as the beast lurched forward and bit into the large man again. Alec swung his shield around again as the Manticore retreated opening a deep clean slice in the beasts hide that leaked red pixels as the Manticore's health bar dropped into the yellow, bringing a satisfied smile to Alec's face.

Alec continued his fight with the Manticore and brought the beasts health bar down into the yellow. There we go the large heavily muscled man thought to himself with an inward smile as he looked to his opponent and the creatures diminished hit points. "You can really stack on the damage in small amounts pal but it adds up pretty quick. But you're in my world and I'm going to end you." The large man growled under his breath at the Manticore as he circled the beast looking for an opening. As the large man circled he spotted an opening and rushed in trying to enact a Sword Art. In his rush Alec stepped into an unseen hole I'm the dark and tumbled over the large man's thickly muscled arms pinwheeled trying to restore his balance as he toppled like a gigantic fallen tree landing flat on his back as he watched the Manticore pounce upon its fallen prey. The monstrosity landed on the large man biting savagely with its fiery mouth opening two more large bites into the man as he swung his shield up in two quick swiped slashing into the beast and opening more razor thin cuts in its pelt that leaked more red pixels into the air as he watched the beast retreat back a few paces.

Alec continued his dance of death with the hodge podge creation of a creature named Manticore, only currently in the dance the large man found himself lying flat on his back looking straight up at the nights sky with the beast prowling around nearby. With a heavy sigh the large man rolled into a sitting position and gathered his legs up under himself and stood staring dead pan at the creature facing him. The beast was large and had a tank fetid breath as it returned the large man's gaze balefully. Alec took several deep breaths to calm himself as tried to summon the energy to enact a Sword Art but once more the game refused him. If truth be told the large man was beginning to grow tired of this honestly. It's like the game has something against the heavily muscled man or something. The Manticore sending it's opponents frustration and noting his lack of attack dove forward with a pounce and a flap of it's leathery wings. As the beast dove forward it's latched it's mouth around the large man and but down piercing his flesh with its mighty teeth causing the large man to inhale breath deeply as it's fiery breath seared his skin once more burning the wound as it released its bite and retreated a few paces away but not before Alec managed to swing his razor sharp shield around slicing deeply into the beast and opening a fresh pair of cuts in the monsters hide. "You'll not hit me without pay back!" The large man growled at the creature as he readied himself for another go.

Alec continued his rounds with the horrendous beast called the Manticore. Alec had taken some damage this fight but nothing to be too overly concerned about as held his shield up in front of himself eyeing the beast and smiling as he observed that it's health bar was currently in the red. He had dropped the beast's health significantly during this fight and the large heavily muscled man felt the fight drawing to a close. With a deep breath Alec activated a Sword Art and was relieved when he felt the familiar wash of energy flow through him and into his Forearm Axe causing it to begin to glow as the energy built and grew. As the energy neared it's peak Alec bent and flexed his massive tree trunk like legs launching himself into the air to come crashing down on the Manticore with a mighty swing if his Forearm Axe chipping deeply into the beast and dripping it's remaining health by nearly a third. The Manticore responded with a loud roar before it belched a massive burst of flame onto the large man which did little man than warm his body before it lunged forward and but deeply into Alec's body again opening another wound that again was seared due to the intense heat within the beast mouth. Alec gritted his teeth and and swung his razor sharp saw bladed shield down twice slicing deep clean cuts through the beast which caused it to begin to waver and shake before exploding in a shower of pixels that rained down around the large man as he stood up smiling at the loot window before him.

Alec glanced down at the loot window before him as the Manticore exploded in a harmless shower of pixels that rained down around the large man. The heavily muscled Tank let out a long low whistle as he looked at the Tier 2 piece of Heavy Armor sitting before him. The item had Mitigation, Flame Aura and Taunt. It was literally perfect piece of equipment for the type of build he was chasing. Why did he have to be so darn moral all of the time? The large man cursed himself silently. He had promised Ali he would return any equipment he found but this piece was perfect for him! He cursed again as he tapped the button to place the piece in his inventory in an irritated manner as he turned away from the site of the Manticore's destruction and and walked over to exit the pen the beast had been caged within. He had made a promise the large man thought to himself and he always kept his promises he thought with a self assured nod of his head as he exited the pen and looked around the camp nearby. All seemed quiet but that could be a ride, there could be a group of Thieves hiding in the shadows waiting to pounce upon him the moment his guard was down seeing as how he had just defeated a rather formidable foe.

Alec casually made his way through the Thieves camp keeping a wary eye out for anything out of the ordinary or unusual. As the large man continued walking he heard the shift of some rocks nearby and a soft rustle of fabric on canvas from his other side. Predictable. The large man thought to himself. It seemed these game makers weren't too keen on switching up their playbook the heavily muscled man thought to himself. He was pretty sure this is exactly how the last question this chain had progressed. Enter camp, fight some Thieves, fight a big bad and then fight some more Thieves on the way out. Okay. Alec thought to himself if that's the way they wanted it that's what they'd get as he continued to walk trying not to tip off his pursuers that he was aware of their presence, as he continued to track the pairs movements by their sounds. The duo was good the large man thought to himself with a nod but he was better he thought with a grin as he neared the edge of the tent camp site and the most likely place for their emergence.

As the large heavily muscled man walked through the Thieves camp site he quickly emerged from the camp to encounter two sand robed Thieves lurking in the shadows outside the encampment. As Alec emerged and spotted the pair of Thieves he quickly reached out activating a Sword Art causing his Forearm Axe to begin glowing as the energy built within it. As the energy reached its peak Alec swung his arm out in a wide arc. As his crescent shaped axe heads flew towards the first Thief he quickly flowed out of the way of the swing like water. The second Thief wasn't so quick and Alec's axe head smashed into his side repeatedly opening a large wound in the Thief's side. The Thieves seemed to have been caught off guard by the large man's sudden movements and agressive actions as they both stumbled missing their attacks and tripping over each other in their shock and confusion.

Alec continued his fight with the pair of Thieves outside the outskirts of the Thief Camp. The pair of Thieves moved with a fluid grace like water as they flowed and danced around the large heavily muscled Tank. As the Thieves drew nearer and nearer to the large man he reached out an activated a Sword Art causing his Forearm Axe to begin glowing as the energy built within the twin crescent shaped axe heads affixed to his forearm. As the energy peaked the large man swung his arm out in a wide arc chopping into the leading Thief as the second danced out of the way of the blurred swing dodging to the side and clear of the attack. Both Thieves surged back into the fight their daggers flashing and darting scoring tiny nicks on the heavily muscled man that his Battle Healing soon healed as if they'd never even happened before.

As the large heavily muscled Tank stood his ground sizing up the two Bandits before him he reached out and fumbled awkwardly trying the grasp the games internal energy source to power a Sword Art. As Alec fought feebly to wrestle the games energy to his needs the energy swam away from him leaving him alone and empty. Having failed to empower his weapon the large heavily muscled man stepped forward swinging his Forearm Axe in a wide arc, but as his booted foot landed on the sandy ground the surface gave way below him causing him to stumble and flail pin wheeling his arms as he toppled to the ground like a monumentally colossal felled tree crashing to the digital earth with an enormous cloud of dust and an Earth trembling crash. The digital Bandit's wasted not an instant as the pounced upon the prone man their daggers flashing in the moon light as they darted out slicing paper thin cuts into the large man which instantly sealed up as soon as the razor sharp blades drew across his heavily muscled skin.

As Alec lay prone on the ground looking up into the night sky with the two dirty smelly tan robed Thieves standing above him a faint smile crept onto his normally stern features the heavily muscled Tank let a chuckle escape his lips as he raised a thick heavily muscled arm to the sky. "Look. The Big Dipper." The large man exclaimed with a soft laugh as he began to gather himself and raise his body off the ground. Once the large man was standing again he reached out once more and unsuccessfully reached out to the games energy source as he fought futilely to empower his weapon with a Sword Art. Once more the game resisted his attempts and caused him to keep as as he swung his Forearm Axe out around at the pair of Thieves and missed horribly once again. In the large man's stumbling flailing attempt at an attack the pair of Thieves darted in their daggers once more flashing as the large Tank swung his shield around interposing his shield between himself and their blades knocking the weapons aside harmlessly as he prepared to continue this fight with his deeply hated enemies.

Alec glared balefully at the two Thieves before him as they glided and slid across the soft sand soundlessly. The large heavily muscled man stood silently as his cold hard eyes tracked their movements. As he tracked their movements the large man spotted an opening band quickly empowered his Forearm Axe with energy from the game causing the large crescent shaped axe heads to begin glowing as the energy reached its peak. Once the weapon was at full power the Tank swung his heavily muscled arm out in a wide arc hacking deeply into the leading Thief as he tried to spin away. The Axe head but deeply and left a gaping hole in the side of the Thief. The large man stopped his momentum suddenly and pivoted in a reverse spin aiming his axe head at the second Thief's midsection. The sand robed robber spotted the attack and deftly spun out if the way casually avoiding the side arcing attack. Both Thieves instantly sprinted forward dagger tips flashing like lightning on a hot dry night as they slid their razor sharp edges across the large man's exposed skin leaving thin ribbons of blood in their wake.

The last attack from the dirty pair of robed Thieves seemed to have struck a nerve in the large heavily muscled man as his heavily muscled limbs seemed to freeze in place and lock solid. He wasn't Paralyzed. This was something new he seemed to stunned in some way. This was odd and truth be told Alec didn't like this very much. He hated being unable to move! He couldn't think of anything worse than being locked within his own body unable to move. As he he stood there frozen and locked in place the large Tank watched as the pair glided closer and closer to him seeming to taunt him as they glided nearer. The pair danced a full circle around the larger man before lunging in their knife blades slicing across the heavily muscled man's body. As their blades left his skin he felt the tell take tingle as his Battle Healing kicked in knitting the sounds together at the same time he felt the warm healing surge from Humphrey as his hit points rapidly climbed near to full again. At the same time he watched as the Senior Thieves hit points lowered as well thanks to his Thorns ability tied into his shield.

Alec picked himself up off the grounds and stood stretching his muscles and limbs yo linger himself up after his most recent rumble as he eyed the pair of sand robed Thieves before him. As the large heavily muscled man finished his movements he brought his razor edged shield before himself as he readied for another series of attacks. The large Tank pulled on the games internal energy source charging up his Battle Axe with a Sword Art as the crescent shaped axe heads began to glow with the stored up energy that built within them. Once the energy had reached its peak the large man stepped forward and swung his axe blades in a wide arc towards nthe pair of Thieves. Alec's first attack flew true and slammed into the body of the leading Thief and buried itself in his body lowering the thieves health bar in the process. Alec pivoted and shifted his weight swinging his Battle Axe in a wide reverse arc aimed at the second Thief. The second Thief deftly slipped to the side avoiding the side swing easily as he danced back before both Thieves surged forward their knife blades flashing in the moon lit night. Both blades pierced the large Tank's body opening small wounds in his sides that began leaking red pixels at a slow steady rate.

Alec eyed the pair of sand robed Thieves as they continued their movements circling the large heavily muscled Tank looking for any opening in his defenses. As the large man waited he reached out and channeled the games internal energy source and channeled the energy into his Battle Axe causing the crescent shaped axe heads to begin glowing as the energy levels within them built. As the energy levels peaked the large man swung his arm down and around in a mighty swing that soared through the air striking the first of the Senior Thieves and cleaving the computer created man in two pieces causing each half to waver and shake before exploding into twin showers of red pixels. The heavily muscled man continued his spin swinging the battle axe with him but again the second Thief moved ducking out if the way of the heavy swing dancing back and darting in lashing out with his knife knocking Alec in the dude as the large man swung his razor edged shield around slicing deeply into the Thief's body opening a large gash that spurted red pixels as Alec finished his spin facing the lone Thief with a Savage stern gaze upon his stony features.

Alec stood resolutely staring down the line remaining Senior Thief facing him. This was the sole opponent left for him to defeat and he had every intention of finishing this fight quickly. The large heavily muscled Tank reached out grasping for the games internal energy source once more desiring to enact a Sword Art. As Alec reached out the games energy source flowed away from his grasp leaving him hollow and empty as he swung his Battle Axe at the remaining counter controlled construct before him. The swing was slow and clumsy and the Thief easily dodged out of the way before sprinting forward his knife held low by his side as he approached the large man. The blade flashed forward slicing the large man in an unprotected spot leaving a tiny hair thin slash in the heavily muscled man's body striking a nerve cluster as the huge Tank swung his shield around in retaliation slicing clean through the computer generated Thief cleaving the man in twain before both halves exploded into twin showers of red pixels that rained down around the large stunned Tank.

Alec stood dazed and stunned from the sand robed Thief's last attack. The well aimed knife struck had struck a vulnerable area and left him unable to move. As the large heavily muscled Tank stood frozen once more within his own body he strained his eyes to scan his surroundings searching for an possible new opponents who might try and take advantage of his stunned and unmoving state. Alec felt the familiar warming tingle of out of combat healing restoring some his nearly full hit points. The whole time the large man fought to make even the smallest part of his body respond to his desire to move. Finally the large man felt his finger twitch. Next he clenched and unclenched his fist before finally he was able to move his arm as he finally regained full control of his body with a deep heavy sigh of relief.
