[F4 - PP] Entangled in frost <<Dragon Hunter Anthology - Dragon Hunt 4: the Diamond Hatchling>>

Recommended Posts

Eagerly waiting for Mari’s reply to his scheme, Macradon would await like a child waiting for his christmas gifts in the morning. He was extatic to get to do stupid moves like this, something he had tried to do with others … but either people looked at him like he was crazy or that their integrity would take a hit from the happening, but Mari was different. “Yes, throw me at the dragon!” he replied to ensure that they were indeed both thinking of the same thing to do, and when Mari obliged with his request, Macradon would grip onto Mari as she gripped onto him. “Alright! One … TwoThree Now! he counted down and exclaimed for Mari to YEET him at the dragon. With the two’s combined strength, Macradon would also activate Charge to crash into the dragon with all of his force, trying to get a good hit at it. With the velocity he picked up from his charge and the torque from the power handshake between Mari and Macradon, he flew towards the dragon with his sword in position. With a swift strike, Macradon cleaved down upon the unsuspecting dragon before it even had time to react. His sword glowing with an intense holy light as his strike tore the digital fabric of the dragon's body in twain with such a force that it could only emit a short screech before it disintegrated into crystalline polygons, into thin air.

Looking back over at Mari, the Flying Dutchman Knight could do nothing else than to laugh at the situation "That went so much better than anticipated!" he said and kept on laughing at the hilarity that had ensued from this madness of a tactic.

Mari barely got a look at the dragon; she had stumbled forward a few feet, and tried to correct her balance after  she had helped to literally throw Macradon at the dragon. She questioned why she even humored such a request as she pushed through the trees till she came to him... just laughing. His smile stretching from ear to ear as he was practically doubled over in the jovial laughter.

And...

Mari remembered why she did.

Because she liked seeing him this way; in a weird way the two were absolutely terribly for each other, bringing out childish tendancies- but in a way...they were perfect, because they also gave each other gleeful reprieves of idiotic freedom in a world that was suffocating. Mari covered her mouth as she stifled a laugh. There was no sign of the dragon. Instead, Macradon sat on top of the two items they needed to continue their hunt.

"You know...." Mari said between giggles that were harder and harder to hide. "I'd hate to be that poor thing... imagine the last thing it saw was you an armoured white haired man screaming as he barelled into i-haha...ahahaha.." Mari stopped here, she couldn't stop even if she tried. Just picturing it. She kinda felt bad for the dragon.

Mari approached Macradon and extended her arm to him. "C'mon then you madman. Next time we'll see if we can get some real force behind it - that was a pretty decent tactic, ready for another round?"

The two friend would laugh at the situation, it was so stupid, yet so much them. The two that many would think otherwise about when hearing about their stupidest of endeavors. If you asked people about Macradon, they would probably talk about his frontline work, raid commander work, guild work, grandmaster blacksmith work … but what he really was underneath all of that integrity was this blob of idiotic childishness. He had longed for this kind of fun, this kind of experience. With all the harsh emotions going through him every now and again reminiscing about what he had seen and experienced of lost friends and comrades, this was a good way of coping, this was a good way of making his existence feel much more appreciated, as well as appreciating it himself. He nodded back at Mari with a grin still smothered over his face “Aye, let’s try to get a better hit next time!” he replied and got back up towards her.
