[F22-PP] A round for all (Witch of the West)

Collecting a few pieces from the shelving that he would need to take on the mission again, one he had repeated a few times prior to disabling the witch for good for a few members to make running it a future possibility for he had no luck on reproducing the synthesized brew that seemed to always crop up in her stronghold. It was more of an annoyance than anything, bothered by the fact he could not replicate her formula and it was far too important to disregard. Raidou made note of the fact it was far too valuable to ignore, so his best and the only option was setting up for repeated acquisition with mitigated risks. Having everything he needed, his hand parades the guild roster seeking out a few more member's names within it who still had not done the quest. Selecting a few of the original founding members, Raidou sends Kasumi, Shiina, and Simmone each invites.

Cutting a blackened stone for preparation to set it into an awaiting golden band, Kasumi was fast at work with a grindstone and an intent stare. The sounds of scraping fill her quaint little store on floor 2, keeping ever productive and playing her part as with the other members of Firm Anima. Her HUD pulls her attention as she finishes the sharpening of the jewel, placing it to the side before she slides the menu open. It was from Raidou, becoming more commonplace than it had prior. She jumps at the chance to accompany her cousin again, rushing into the back room and getting her clothes changed into her combat attire. The last, a tug of the orange ribbon that kept her hair up allows it to galavant down over her shoulders, and with a grin she exits the trinket shop into the fields of crossing with surprising speed.

A wave of an ornamental fan in her hands allowing a pleasant breeze to her face as she looked on while her NPC twins were dealing with migration of materials for shipment back to the guild vault. "Interesting, it seems my golden goose would like some company." she bats an eye to the tiny envelop icon on her menu's in a flashing blue circle, she looks to the twins and asks of them "Make sure to have everything prepared for transit and keep an eye on the place, girls." as she enters the odyssey and gets changed from her merchant's yukata in maroon black and gold trims to something less likely to trip her up in the heat of the moment. An almost latex looking black bodysuit that appeared to perhaps be strangling her body was obviously designed for appearance over function. "Tata be back later." she waves as she heads toward the nexus of the town, the fountain with the warp gate to carry her to 22.

Shiina's tongue sticking out the side of her mouth, her eyes focused intensely on a slip of paper she was dragging a pencil across. Within the confines of her rather disorganized mess, she was still trying to transcribe the events of the battle from before into song. She hums for a moment before seeming to get irritated and stopping, some of the fixtures around the interior displace as she does with each tone of her voice causing it to shift and shake. A sudden beep calls her attention to which she unintentionally quips "Oro?" and popping it open with both hands. "Book boi is back at it again, Yeah boi gimme the good stuff!~" she barks hopping down from her crisscrossed sit upon an elegant table to the scattering of slips of white paper. It takes her a moment to piece all of her gear together before she sets out leaving everything that fell where it was.

Moving outside of the guild hall and waiting patiently for the groups arrival, Raidou prepares himself for what was to come. He knew what to expect, but even still he would take no chances at underestimating foes even ones he had faced prior. Pulling the belt that traveled across his chest tight, his scabbard yanked tighter into his back as he does the same to pull the concealed plated sleeve on his left arm. Last he pulls the cables on his robe adhering it more to his shoulders and neck, before pressing his signature glasses up the bridge of his nose. He counted himself prepared for all that could transpire, as he always had he was convinced that it should be a trivial exchange while the others scanned the base of the stronghold for what they were seeking. The day was still rather young, but he'd rather not squander too much of the available daylight on waiting.

Traversing the cobblestone walkways of Coral, Kasumi was the first to meet up with Raidou outside the cathedral of the forgotten hidden among the trees but a couple of leagues from the safety of the city. "I am here and ready, Raidou. Is it just us?" she would ask of the boy in red, pulling the hand wraps around her fists snug as she saw him fondling his own equipment. Raidou simply pays her a nod and a raise of the hand, seeming as though he would wait until they all arrived before an explanation was in order. "Alright." Kasumi exhumes with understanding, taking a position of propping herself against one of the walls of the building. She'd wait as he was patiently, eager to get started after the specifics had been explained in the typical analysis he had always provided on these journeys the guild would take alongside him.

Simmone ushers herself up and immediately notices Kasumi "Hello dear, been a bit. Doing well I hope?" she asks rhetorically for she looked to be fairing well and seemed happy. Raidou looked as focused as he always had, like the busy body she knew the boy was. "So I see two, but you seem quiet which beckons me to believe there is at least another we are waiting on. I'll play along." The black lotus picks up on the queue and takes a seat upon the stairs as Felix rushes into her lap. She offers the cat a nuzzle and a soft graze of her long ivory white fingertips, the bell on his neck jingling softly with each stroke. Her mind raced at the fact she still had not sussed out what her little furred friend's specialty was, knowing that he had some laden untapped potential as a few others she had seen like Fox's flame fox. Curious she wondered what it could be and needed to take the time to find out.

Hopping on one foot she makes it into the perimeter of the guild hall before she falls belly first into the dirt yelping "Oof", the boot of her plate armor she was trying to affix falls off. Raidou moves over and helps shove it on her as she shouts "I'm here, lets get some!" with a wide grin. "Thanks book boi, I got boots now." she does a push up and after some trouble manages to roll herself to her feet, the heavy armor giving her some trouble. Skittering over to Simmone who now had a kitty, one she had not met "What's his name." petting him softly as it was clear she could not contain herself. "His name is Felix, isn't he just the cutest little thing you've ever seen?" Simmone seems to melt at the discussion of the cat, sharing this little moment the girls smother the untrained familiar with attention.

The vanguard captain offers a sharp cough to pull the attention of the girls who were quickly becoming derailed by their own devices, one that causes Felix to leap from the black cat's lap. "Anyway, now that you are all here." Raidou remarks as he pulls a black book from his pocket and reads from the page as he begins to walk. "I will deal with with the monsters and be the distraction, the witch has some vials of purple fluid I will need to have found while I do so." he looks to the trio and offers as an order "That is where you three come in, understood?" standing at the base of the stronghold just before the entry about ten or so meters from the large old wood double doors of the castle like structure under darkened skies. They all nod as Raidou folds the book and returns it to his pocket.

As Raidou heads in so do the girl, Simmone and Shiina. Simmone seems to ebb on the side of caution as a flare of gold in her eye keeps her rather focused on the task at hand, Shiina on the other hand rips an empty bottle off the shelf. As soon as Raidou makes it up the stairs toward the next floor, Shiina slams the glassware upon the stonework "This is the best!~" she screeches as Kasumi rushes to cover her mouth. "Shiina, we need to not draw attention." blocking most of her face as she looks intensely into the crazy child's eyes. They separate and begin to peruse the varied dusty tomes across multiple platforms, Kasumi could not help but be a bit skeptical of if Shiina could be tame enough for this task. She began to question if Raidou had foresaw this or if it was some test for the girl or those tasked with watching over her.

As Raidou works his way up the stairs he immediately hears a vial break, questioning his inclusion of Shiina instantly. He would have to act hastily to make due on the element of surprise before Shiina blew it completely. Ripping Auric Sol from its sheathe and rushing up the winding spiral stone staircase, Raidou pulls the door open quickly and looks on to the boss entity contained inside. The Witch turns abruptly about to give her coined evil villain speech as she inhales. But she pauses as soon as she sees Raidou again for the third time "Shit you again!?" she barks out instead, as the vanguard captain smiles. With a wave of her hand, her minions begin to pour into the chamber from the rafters above as each time before this one and with one fell swipe of the yellow sword they were gone in the blink of an eye.

With her searching in full swing, she was tearing through the slips of parchment upon the tables under a layer of dust and filth, she begins to wonder how even a cardinal created creature could live as she had in it. She should still have some standards in cleanliness because this was appalling, after every third or so disturbed trinket or bauble the black cat could not help but wipe her hand on her leg. Above she hears one screeching blast of the monkies being nuked by the swordsman "Looks like he has that handled eh?" she asks Kasumi as she leans low and begins to check under tables and around the side of bookshelves along the seams. Felix darts underneath doing his own espionage, being his own tiny cat burglar and getting into mischief to the rattle of the bell around his neck. It appeared the group had sometime before the situation would become dire, they would need to keep looking.

With the first quickly shattered to pieces in a shower of pixelated glass that bounces off the surfaces around Raidou in a circle, the witch curses under her breath in a way to which he could not make out what she spoke. "You damned fool, why do I keep seeing you here. Can't you bother someone else?" she seemed to ask in honesty bothered by the fact the nomad kept coming back. "Hardly, I need that potion you make, if you'd just give me the recipe..." she cuts him off with a grin "Never, you'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands."

Fiddling with his glasses for a moment as more monkeys in a bit beefier frames scatter down from small pockets in the walls above them he comments "That can be arranged." waiting intensely as they approached before ripping his back from its held position and quickly erasing the next wave with one additional stroke. Spinning the weapon in his grasp he barks out "I am coming, prepare yourself."

Looking to Kasumi and Simmone to make sure they were not watching, Shiina hops up on one of the tables littered with an innumerable amount of glassware. She begins to perform a pseudo river dance kicking off the pieces with a little gavant across the table to the sounds of breaking glass. Felix begins to bob and weaves his way through the flying fireworks of shattering glass. Her two companions quickly turn and look on in horror with wide eyes. "Come on Dorothy gotta live a little sheesh." she pauses before hopping down from the table and doing her best to keep looking, secretly looking for something else to either fiddle with or destroy when the time would come. She hears more enemies being killed above "I kinda go watch Raidou kick some booty, sounds like he is letting them have it." as she makes for the stairs part of the way before Simmone grabs the back of her armor and holds her back.

His legs quickly spread apart before his heels raise, and with a sudden crack causing the wind to create a ring of dust and a cloud from his starting point Raidou was almost instantly at the witch's neck with a golden blade shining brightly. He connects with her as she tosses a bottle of sulfur into the air, the blade cleaving through the bottle and causing it to detonate. They both fall from her highrise, landing in a pile of smoke and burned heavily. Juiblex rips Raidou to his feet in an inhuman fashion as the Witch begins to peel herself from the floor with a heavy burn shown in red upon her body. "Keep with your tricks they will aid you none." Raidou remarks softly as the minor wounds he had sustained begin to close on his face, the blue network of his frame sewing itself shut as he steps toward her still smoking from the fire.

Poisoned Dagger: On a natural MD 10 she lands a critical hit on the player that has dealt the most damage to her. That player is paralyzed for one turn and poisoned, taking 16 damage per turn for 3 turns.
Unnatural Swiftness: At 200 HP and below, she drinks a potion to grant her +1 evasion for the rest of the fight.

Hearing a detonation in the room above she looks to Simmone and Shiina still fighting over the girl trying to go up the stairs. "You think he's alright up there!?" Kasumi pleads of Simmone, wanting to rush up and aid him to which the black cat offers her wisdom. "I think it would be unwise of you to attempt to aid him when he has entrusted all of us with an important task here, all you will do is put him at risk trying to protect you. Do as he asks of you and trust in his abilities, I've seen them myself." Simmone answers with her two cents that causes Kasumi to nod, understanding completely what she had meant from a time before this game "Hang in there Raidou, we will get the vials. Stay safe and come home." she remarks as her stare leaves the stone rise and moves back to looking through the shelving about the entryway.

Raidou rushes her down as quickly as she attempts to stand up, as she removes a dagger from her belt Raidou shoves his sword through her chest as she implants it in his gut. His muscles seize up as before, back to the tricks she could not do without it seemed. "It...won't make a...difference." Raidou manages through his stasis, with the weapon still locked in her chest as was her own in his. "I will kill you for your constant assail of my castle." she barks into his face as his movement is staggered and jerks as he fights the debilitation. he manages out a few more words through the paralyzed state "I would...like to see...you..try." as his face twists to a smile, his iris flaring a bright red as a consuming mist begins to pour out of his back. He was becoming filled with hatred and it showed visibly.

With the girl moving back to where they were working Simmone keeps on searching, trying her best to find where the brew was being kept. She was just a tad worried herself, so she could not hold it completely against Kasumi wanting to rush to the swordsman's aid. But it would do more harm than good, Simmone was more than aware of that in memory of her venomous warg. He was seemingly indomitable when it mattered. Starting to forgo tact in her haste, Simmone begins to upend books and toss them into a pile in the center of the chamber. "Any luck?" she asks the other two girls who the orange haired girl remarks "None." with a shake of her head. The black lotus then seeks out Shiina, who seemed intensely focused on something "Shiina, have you found anything?" she asks to no response. "Shiina!" moving up to see what she was stuck on.

The witch watches on as her vision begins to blur out from his fighting spirit, casting the rest of her world into darkness. "Stop this, I'll just..." a bit of a tremble in her voice as she rips the dagger from his stomach and attempts to jam it in again. To her surprise, however, the swordsman grabs her wrist with his left as he pushes through the venom coursing through his veins. "I told you your tricks were worthless." Raidou comments, as the weapon still stuck in her body begins to glow brightly once again and now she was right where he wanted her.

Poisoned Dagger: On a natural MD 10 she lands a critical hit on the player that has dealt the most damage to her. That player is paralyzed for one turn and poisoned, taking 16 damage per turn for 3 turns.
Unnatural Swiftness: At 200 HP and below, she drinks a potion to grant her +1 evasion for the rest of the fight.

As Simmone comes to her side, turns out the bookshelf Shiina knocked over just for fun had a secret bottom. "Lookie!~" Shiina exclaims turning and face planting in Simmone's 'assets' and feeling smothered in them, Simmone rips the vial rack out of the girl's hands as she begins to nuzzle away at the softness. "Kasumi, Shiina found them! let's get the hell out of here." as she goes to move Shiina yelps "w-wait they are so soft, come back." looking like a kitten with a ball of yarn, chasing Simmone out of the stronghold.

Back into the light of day, Shiina continues to fiddle with Simmone's frame who didn't seem to be paying her much mind. Simmone fires a message to Raidou letting him know that the draughts had been found and he should get the hell out of there. The group of three looks on to the doors they had left, waiting for the swordsman to extract himself from the conflict given they had succeeded.
