History
Growing up, Aquarian's life was full of traveling, nature, and the prospect of adventure. His parents, Clarice and Darwin Riven, were traveling nature photographers who would travel the world in order to take photographs and document the various flora and fauna the family came across. This led to his life never being concrete, but always being full of something to do and something to look at. He didn't have a normal schooling, with his parents home schooling him and teaching him as he went along their adventures. This led to a strange social dynamic for him. He was more used to talking to plants and animals than he was with children his own age. The only friend he really had was a pen-pal he started when he was 9 with someone in the United States. His name was Dan, and Aquarian's first realization that he may not be the straight noodle in the pasta when he started to develop emotional attachments to Dan that went beyond friends. His parents did not mind much when he told them, and he was able to cross that hurdle in his life with minimal issue.

He began to get older, and as he did he realized that maybe this traveling life was not the fit that it used to be. He was finding too many places that he wanted to stay for longer than a week, and too many people that he wanted to get to know that wasn't over a phone. Thus, when he turned 18, he decided that enough was enough, he was going to set roots down somewhere, go to school for botany, and live a life that was not full of traveling. He set up his life in the New England area of the United States, Boston to be specific. He went to the University of Massachusetts, Boston. His life grew strange as he realized that social conversations are usually different when it's two humans and not just one person and a redwood tree. Aquarian's life got a bit rough for a while, but his love of Botany and his slow isolationist perspective kept him afloat during his first two years of his undergrad.

Luckily for him at the time, he was able to get his hands on a nerve gear and the game Sword Art Online. As both a gift to his parents for their contribution to National Geographic, and a little bit of pushing from Aquarian's enjoyment of exploring and adventuring to new environments. So with that, he puts on the headset, starts up the game, and excitedly awaits his introduction to the new world he was going into.

Personality

Virtues:
Adventurous: In his parents line of work, he was forced to explore and see new and exciting landscapes. Whether it was the desert or the jungle, he roamed them all with his parents. The constant inclusion of different areas and worlds slowly pushed him to seek out these things in nature. SAO has now caused him to want to explore anything and everything he can get his hands on.

Attentive: Studying plants and watching how they react to the sunlight forces a person to be attentive for long periods of time, which became one of Aquarian's Specialties. This came out in school work, being able to watch the lectures for hours. Also came with his ability to pick up on strange things in a person's body language... even if he did not have a clue on how to talk to people.

Inquisitive: Stacking on top of his previous virtue, Aquarian is also very Inquisitive. Sometimes this can come out as fairly annoying as he tries his best to understand something... and harass people in the process. This can lead to some disgruntled people, but usually leads to him getting the information he wants, no matter how long it takes!

Flaws:
Socially Clueless: Talking to plants and animals almost all of his life and watching his parents do similar things can kind of mess with the social parts of a child's brain. He does not fully understand how to talk to others fluently. While he had two years in college to understand, a lot of his development was stunting how far he could go. He is still progressing, but oh lord it is going slow.

Alone: Both by choice and also his personality, he tends to be alone a lot. While he does not see much wrong with this, as he was with mostly just his parents for a long time, but sometimes it gets to him. With being in SAO, it is starting to get to him a bit, realizing that those around him do not want to be around him even in this new world.

Honest: While seen as a blessing to many, his inability to understand complex social cues has caused him to say what is on his mind. While others appreciate this, many people hate that he can not control his mouth while he talks to others. Maybe this will get him more friends eventually? Has not worked out well for him so far though.
