Mainly MMORTS's and MOBA's. Till a new game caught his eye, Sword Art Online. Typically it wasn't his type of game. He wasn't much of an MMORPG kind of gamer. Took too much time and sucked the soul out of you trying to do ever tedious thing but, something about this game called to him. Once it was released he was one of the lucky few to grab the game on release date and quickly started it up once he arrived home.
