Right! At first I thought it was two swords stuck together in the middle, but I quickly began noticing problems with that interpretation, haha. I've definitely met quite a few people who prefer inanimate objects though! And I don't claim to be good at drawing, but I've always had some trouble with drawing in three dimensions as well. It's easy to imagine things like cubes and draw them, but I have trouble really visualizing more complex objects in my head, which I find makes it difficult to portray the proper shading and depth and such.

I've always liked the classic wooden pencils, but I'm very specific on them! I really like those Ticonderoga pencils, which aren't specifically made for sketching or drawing, but they're comfortable enough and the lead quality works for me. I prefer wooden pencils and pens over mechanical pencils, but I can't entirely point out why, although I've very specific with my pens too.
