Grave 0 Posted July 24, 2015 #1 Report Share Posted July 24, 2015 Would a Flamberge be classed as a two-handed straight sword, or would it have it's own class? Quote Report
Takao 0 Posted July 24, 2015 #2 Report Share Posted July 24, 2015 Flame-bladed swords are similar to Zweihanders, with the only difference being blade shape. They're essentially used in the same way, so I'd imagine they would be classified as a two handed straight sword. Quote Report
Grave 0 Posted July 24, 2015 Author #3 Report Share Posted July 24, 2015 Of course you'd notice the similarity between the flamberge and the zweihander xD Quote Report
Tristan Delaney 0 Posted July 24, 2015 #4 Report Share Posted July 24, 2015 Two handed straight swords. The general blade direction is straight and not curved unlike a nandao (two handed beidao) or the larger forms of NihontÅ from katana size onwards. The only European two handed curved sword I know is the Falx. Quote Report
Grave 0 Posted July 25, 2015 Author #5 Report Share Posted July 25, 2015 Speaking of two-handed curved swords, I take it we can't obtain them? Quote Report
Tristan Delaney 0 Posted July 25, 2015 #6 Report Share Posted July 25, 2015 Only by getting Rank 3 in One Handed Curved Swords. While canonically dubbed Katana, it functions as a two handed curved sword skill. NihontÅ just happen to be one of the most common forms of two handed curved swords in the world.
