[PP-F2] 'An All Hallow's Eve' Velvet Room Jamboree

Recommended Posts

longgraphicline.jpg

October Thirty First. All Hallows Eve, or better and plainly put, Halloween. Today was the day that the Velvet Room was to host it's first ever SAO wide party. Lowenthal had finally finished setting up the area for the party. Decorations filled almost every corner, nook, and cranny. Tables had orange and black tablecloths, and on the center of each table was a small Jack-O-Lantern surrounded by Autumn leafs. The ceiling was decorated with orange and black streamers, and soft orange lights that gave the room a 'warm' feeling. There was a small dance floor, colored in a festive black marble. Everything was perfect. Only thing that was missing was Piera and Jomei.

Lowenthal had almost forgot that he had his own costume on. He was dressed as a werewolf. And he was glad that he made it himself. He wore a pair of dark green pants, that were tucked into his boots. His boots were a red-brown, with tan fur lining the top. He worse no shirt, but only a vest which sported a mane. He also wore a red leather collar, along with a set of ears and fluffy tail that matched his sandy hair color. He wondered what Piera, and Jomei would be wearing. He had been so busy prepping for the party that he had forgotten to ask what they would be wearing. Lowenthal smiled, liking the idea of a surprise.

Lowenthal went back to working, as he awaited for his friends and the guests to arrive...

OoC:
Please allow Piera and Jomei to post first, as they are the judges alongside me and members of Velvet Room.

Jomei sat cross-legged in front of the tall mirror that sat against a wall on the second floor of his shop. In his hand, he held two small glass bottles, each one containing a strange colored liquid. Jomei looked down at the contents of the container as he moved the bottles around in his hand. Placing the smaller bottle on the floor in front of him, he popped the top of the larger bottle and took a breath. He had not tested these potions out before, being they both were only good for one use. "Here goes nothing." he downed the milky white contents of the first bottle. After placing that glass container on the ground, he took the second and put a couple drops into each of his eyes. Looking into the mirror, he smirked, seeing they worked exactly as planned. It was time for him to put on the rest of his costume.

Jomei noticed people looking twice at Jomei as he walked through the streets of Urbus towards the location of the guild's Halloween party. Despite it being the spooky holiday, and other players were wearing costumes, Jomei's seemed to draw a slight bit of attention from some players. After the short walk from his shop, luckily being on the same floor, Jomei found the familiar party hall where Zelrius' party was held not even a month ago. Jomei pushed open the doors to reveal the room that Lowenthal had set up, with decorations and all. Jomei smiled, as he approached his friend, "Nice job on the decorations Lowe."

Jomei's costume consisted of a slim fit black suit jacket with white pin stripes that buttoned up higher upon his chest, opening up at his abdomen and torn to shreds at the tails with pants matching the exact same color scheme and stripes. Under it, he wore a worn white shirt, and around his neck was a large tie, same colors as the suit, that resembled a bat. The potions that Jomei had ingested earlier before were the finishing touches. The larger potion caused his hair to turn a ghostly white, while the latter caused his eyes to change colors.. the white parts turning black, and his irises turning white. A side effect from a combination of the color changing potions even caused his skin to become a little bit paler than his usual irish tone. Finally, to add to the look, he drew lines to represent the teeth of a skeleton along his lips.

Piera was rushing last minute to complete the finishing touches on her and Lee's costumes. She had managed to find a bad quality wedding dress complete with veil that was in shreds and even some makeup that with a little extra help, she managed to apply more or less accurately to make it look like she had been crying, mascara running down her face. To make the costume complete though, she also crafted two specialty potions, one that was more simple, turning her skin slightly blue and her whole body vaguely translucent and apparition-like. The second though was a bit trickier. She had made a voice changing potion before, but it wasn't very fine tuned. The alchemist had managed to combine the correct ingredients to give her voice a very ethereal and ghostly tone. And last but not least, she made the decision to leave her glasses behind, deciding that wearing them took away from the 'spookyness'. At least here in SAO, she didn't really need them to see. They just made her feel comfortable and more like herself.

Piera was the spitting image of a bride come back from the dead as a ghost to haunt the world. Her wide excited grin somewhat clashed with her eerie appearance however as she kissed Lee on the cheek as he got ready. "I'm gonna go on ahead. Hopefully I'm not too late to help set up. See you there sweetie!"

Gliding downstairs to her shop, the brunette nabbed a few potions to take with her to the party and set off to the center of Delilah Village, taking the teleporter one floor down to Urbus. She was a little surprised that Lowenthal wanted to use the same location as Zelrius had for his party, but figured it was a safe choice for those lower leveled players that would attend. Piera had been tempted to use the tenth floor, but it was actually fairly dangerous. Entering the designated area, Piera's face lit up at the sight of the decorations and set up. Catching sight of two male figures, she glided forward. "Happy Halloween you two~" The Ghost Bride greeted loftily before smiling at the two. "You both look awesome and adorable." Her tone clashed oddly with her ghastly voice. "I brought potions to help spice things up if need be. Is there anything I can help with?" She looked to her guild leader.

Lee was actually quite content on the work that had been done to his costume thought there were a few bits that only he could do. He wanted to look like an actual zombie and not just some pretty boy that had some fake blood smeared on him. He wanted to look like he was actually taken from the ground and torn up and a little bit ugly. He had taken a potion from Piera's shop in order to fully work into the undead theme. He was still in the middle of perfecting himself as Piera would give him a kiss upon his cheek and then bid him farewell as she was to get to the party early in order to help out with the guild business itself. "Ugggggh..." He would nod his head in agreement and wave her off as he finished up the final touched to his costume.

Lee had taken enough time and effort in order to finish the zombiefication and with it, he would take his leave of the shop. He entered the teleporter and as it took him away, he remembered that it was a similarity to another party type event he had attended but this one would surely be more festive. When he entered the area where the party was being held, the entire area seemed to radiate the Halloween spirit. He would walk or more over, shamble into view, his left leg slightly dragging as his tattered clothes and dried up skin with the main thing that didn't look completely decrepit being a badge of his shop emblem.

Kalesh was never one to go with spooky costumes, preferring the goofier side of things since they were 'costume' parties and not 'spook' parties in his mind. So naturally his first reaction was to dress up as some kind of power ranger knockoff from a game he adored when he was younger! He walked into the party with his chest puffed out and all but refusing to speak as he scanned around to look at all of the people present, all of whom he had actually met! He happily approached, mask on and everything, and waved to them wordlessly. He had drunk a silence potion to keep himself from speaking, along with two other secret ones. The last thing he wanted was to ruin the surprise for everybody, so he made it so he couldn't give clues either. With his greeting done he happily crosses his arms across his chest and keeps his back straight like a hero taking a heroic pose. He realized his ideas would come off mundane or silly at first, but he was saving things for a bit later. He just hoped everything went to his master plan.

Nirvana hadn't an idea of who was hosting the party, or who would be there, but she heard of a Halloween get-together event and couldn't resist joining. A party would be a nice change of slow pace even if was taking place on her least favorite floor. All she had to do was ask and her acceptance was nearly immediate so generally she expected friendly players among the crowd, if there'd be that many people there anyways. The contests were her favorite, or definitely going to be, as the best costume and story ideas seemed rather amusing.

Dark, fluffy locks were finally neatly brushed out and straightened to perfection. Certainly different than the usual unkempt hairstyle she roamed around with. Even the unnatural red streak that accented her bangs was gone, hidden from view. A potion she'd taken created the effect of crimson eyes that glowed while the rest of her costume resembled a more natural look, probably far more different than most outfits would be around since Halloween was meant to be full of fright. In the long run she was supposed to be the mix of an angel and devil, though Nirvana simply enjoyed the concept of her attire. Built-in wings were attached to random parts of her black and white costume, the favorite piece being the one attached to her head. There was more skin showing than cloth covering her body, top hem of the dress hanging extremely low simply because Nirvana liked to show off her busty chest. High-heeled, knee-high, white, lace-up boots adorned the long legs of the young woman, and completed her look of perfection.

Dressing up was one thing, getting there another. Since she ignored Urbus most of the time, the locations of the Floor were unknown to her thus she wandered most of the time before eventually receiving direction to the party hall. Pushing open the doors, her cheeks flushed a tad bit upon her realization that not many people were there quite yet. She leaned against a wall casually, crossing arms over her chest idly. Not that she wasn't one for parties... Nirvana just wasn't used to being the action but more so the musical entertainment.

Zelrius clicked along the paved roads to the location in the same dress shoes he had always had on. On this day, he wore the black and gold threaded suit that Kiru had gotten made for him on his birthday, the little golden Z patch on his lapel shining nicely with the vivid light. His Hydra Skull was off and the Pendant was no where to be found, however, the boy still wore his cloak of the Brigade and let hang over the left side of his body as he had grown accustomed to. For a moment, he dwelled on the thoughts of that it seemed the realm of SAO had taken a more light-hearted and easy-going air to it. Though there were still people who lived and died, laughed and cried, there was a select group of people that appeared to every boss meeting, every party, every public event. Those who were often seen wandering about with the some of the biggest guilds, and those who refused to join a guild for one reason or another. Nonetheless, it would appear that many of the people Zelrius saw often in both Serious and Relaxed times were beginning to take a step in the direction of pro-"Relax and have fun" and more anti-"Serious". It was things like the Halloween party that made Zelrius respect Lowenthal and the Velvet Room that much more.

The boy drank a potion for his appearance as he approached his destination. Immediately gazing about the large "party area" with newly golden instead of blue eyes. It had been for quite some time that the Commandant had coveted such a feature for himself, and the power of alchemists made it possible. He had looked about and inspected each of the guests. Some of their costumes removing them from instant recognition, and some the boy knew he either didn't know or couldn't identify within a few moments.

Speaking of costumes, His arrogant smile arose to geniune happiness for a moment as he drank another potion and from his back sprouted two large bird like wings. The thing different from these wings and a bird's, other than being on Zelrius and not a bird, was the fact that these didn't have feathers, instead they had little bits of flame that were shaped and burned in such a way to resemble wings. The afore mentioned wings bruned two different colors, one a sky blue, and the other an orange red. Zelrius had decided to go as the Twinfire Phoenix for halloween, ironic, given he didn't have the sword this time around.

Lowenthal turned, to see that Jomei had arrived first. "Hey, thanks. Used to decorate the mall a bit during the seasons." Lowenthal took the chance to look up Jomei, and his costume. "Man, you look nice. You used potions, huh?" Lowenthal asked, as he could notice Jomei's skin still changing. "I guess I went a bit to practical, and just made everything." Lowenthal said, noting his very plain costume. Just as he did, Piera walked in looking quite spooky, being followed by something that looked even more spooky, Lee. "Well, the undead couple looks amazing." Lowenthal said, quite impressed with the couples costume. Again it seemed that they used potions to alter their appearance. "Sorry Piera, beat ya' to it. All the decorating is done and all we're waiting on is for people to arrive.

Sure enough People showed up. First was a masked hero, who sported a very nicely made costume. Lowenthal couldn't make out who it was, but he assumed that he knew him at least from how he approached him. "Hey, how you doing?" Lowenthal said, greeting the red ranger. The costume reminded him of the Power Rangers, or something. More like an american knock off, but the idea was apparent.

Lowenthal looked back up, and saw another woman had entered. She was young, and her costume was quite the looker. Lowenthal noticed that, it was handmade and not made via the use of potions and the like. He patted Jomei on the shoulder, and whispered. "Take care of everything, I'm gonna go say Hi, and watch the door." Lowenthal said, as he walked over to the woman. "Hey, nice costume. I'm Lowenthal, leader of the Velvet Room. And your host for the evening. And you would be?" Lowenthal asked her, not ever meeting this woman before. "Want to engage in almost meaningless small talk until other guests arrive?" Lowenthal asked her.

Kalesh would have liked to smirk as Lowenthal asked how he was. He raised his hand in a confident thumbs up to Lowenthal, soon swiftly going into his status and showing off on of the 'buffs' placed on himself while shielding his name from the other player. The short status indicated that he was mute for the moment, unable to respond verbally even if he desired to. The valiant hero has to protect his identity, after all. If nothing else he was trying to be in character it seemed! When Lowenthal told Jomei to keep an eye on things he quickly stood himself into a rigid salute before lowering his arm, pretending to himself it was he who was being spoken to and not Jomei. He was the hero, after all! He watches as Lowenthal left and shrugged as he turned to the others, resting a hand on his hip as he lifted his other hand, motioning as if he were speaking even though no words were coming out. He knew for a fact his words were muted as he spoke, only boosting his sense of mischief at confusion he sought to ensue.

While taking stock of the party, it soon became rather apparent the only person he knew of, but had never actually spoken with for more than a passing moment, was Zelrius. For a moment he considered 'socializing' with him, but with a laugh and a hand placed against his helmet in a facepalm he realized he wouldn't get very far! He held back the desire for the moment at least. The potion had been drunk far earlier so that his act would be all the more convincing and surprising when he pulled off his first words of the night. All he had to do was keep his mask on and his mouth shut and all would proceed as planned. He was doing Mr. Burns fingers.

(OOC. Forgot to mention, Kalesh nice Tales of the Abyss FC and Halloween costume)

Zelrius smirked ever so mischievously as he watched the one he recognized only slightly as Lowenthal make his way over the a female figure he didn't know off the top of his head. The boy recalled the drama at his own party between The leader of Velvet Room and his dear friend Clarence, of whom he had not seen since. While nomrally, you would think friends would be mad if a friend was cheated on, but that was on the Boy's back burner. While the golden haired and eyed boy was certainly disappointed by Lowenthal's actions, he honestly could not care less, he was far too caught up in his own dwellings and thoughts to even give it much mind as of late.

Zelrius' ego caught hold of him as of now as he watched Velvet Room's leader converse with the unidentified woman. Whether Lowenthal was merely being polite or was actually trying something, Zelrius couldn't care less. With smrik turning back to his smug, arrogant, and smooth curve that he usually wore, the bowtie-totting Commandant swaggered his way over to the pair of conversing people, his flaming wings wrapped around him at the moment. Once he was within speaking distance, Zelrius did just that: Speak. "No need for meaningless small talk, the only guest that matters is here, dear Lowenthal." His aristocratic speech pattern and over-confident voice filling their small and rather quite space. "I see you sure are using your time before the boss fight to prepare well," It was with this the boy turned to the girl. "Between you and Tristan, I do not believe there will be any free Ladies left by the time you two are done." Now actually addressing her. "Greetings and Salutations, Madame. Allow me to introduce myself: Zelrius, Commandant of the Azure Brigade." He took a slight bow and then threw a sly grin at Lowenthal. Your move.

Compared to the astonishing lengths that others had gone to create either frightening or simply amazing costumes, Nirvana felt as if she wasn't exactly good enough in comparison considering looks. She huffed and flicked her head in order to move stray bangs back in place. Though she loved the way her skin showed, and attire fit, her's wasn't as eye-catching as she thought it'd be...

That thought ended quicker than you could imagine as a party guest seemed to notice her, something she thought would at least take a little while to occur. In fact, she thought that maybe she'd have to approach someone herself. Not that the action itself was difficult to perform, socializing came rather easy to her, it happened to be different during parties... Her unpleasant memories conflicted with thoughts, something she pushed to the side in order to deal with them later. A grin adorned her face, crimson eyes glowing. "I tried. It's not as adorable as your's," She reached out to play with one of the ears sitting upon his head before pointing to the zombie costume (Lee's) that'd interested her from the very start. "or as scary as that guy's over there. But, hey, I've got something men don't have~" Of course, she was kidding around and enjoyed a good tease now and then, but Nirvana couldn't resist moving her arms to enlarge the cleavage already showing. "I'm Nirvana." She propped an arm up on her hip. "And lucky for you, small talk is my specialty. This game wouldn't be able to function without I'm pretty damn sure." A quiet chuckle escaped from her lips at the thought of meeting players, only to speak about dumb or boring things just to pass the time. Lowenthal seemed amusing for the time being, and definitely adorable as she had said earlier. His eyes were the most attractive feature he held.

In the small time that they'd conversed, yet another guest had made his way over. Was she life of the party already? That would be enough shock factor for her night if proved to be true. Instantly, her eyes widened at the sight of his own costume. It was... well, the only word to describe the look would be awesome. Or amazing. "That might be true. Your costume kicks ass! Man, you have my attention, and soon everyone else's I bet. Is that fire?" Jealousy brewed in the pit of her stomach, but at the same time Nirvana squealed like a little school girl at the wings extended from his back. "Two guild leaders? Wow, I feel special tonight." Sarcasm lingered with every word, she couldn't help it, especially when a smirk covered the grin she previously held. "Oh please, nobody could tame me if they tried. But I'm not going to object if people try. It's always fun to play~" She commented, referring to Zelruis' comment about "no free ladies". As if, she wasn't going to be caught anytime soon. "Seriously, though, nice to meet you two. I'm Nirvana, if you didn't hear... most important guest, Zelrius."

Lowenthal chuckled as the girl reached up and played with one of his ears. "Adorable? I don't know if I'd call it that, Perhaps, a bit ridiculous maybe." Lowenthal said, playing down his costume. "I mean, kinda pales in comparison to the other costumes here." He said, meaning the people who used potions to alter their appearance. It seemed a bit like, cheating. In the other world, there were no potions to change a person's body or shape. Lowenthal blushed, as the woman in front of him, teased about her chest. "Uhm, y-yeah." Lowenthal quickly recovered his stature before speaking again. "Pleasure to meet you Nirvana. And I'm glad the idea of chatting sounds good to you. Kind of the only thing I have in my 'talk to woman' list." He said, letting out a small chuckle.

Lowenthal turned to see that Zel had approached the two of them. Lowenthal gave him a polite smile, which quickly faded as Zel spoke. "Nice costume Zel. Certainly the most extravagant here, so far. Unless Tristan shows up in that swimsuit he got. If he does, I'm sure either one of us has a chance. Might even give Lee a run for his money." Lowenthal said laughing, remembering the solid black latex mankini he had made for Tristian for the first S&Z tournament. Lowenthal blushed. "Dude, could you at least sugar coat it a bit?" He said, in defense. "Seriously. No wonder you don't have a girl with tact like that. Then again, neither do I." Lowenthal said, flustered. He looked back to Nirvana "It certainly is a pleasure to meet you Nirvana. So, if you don't mind me asking. What made you finally decide to come out and become an adventurer?" Lowenthal asked, wanting to start his small talk.

At her comment of her wings Zelrius sighed and threw a hand through the arced part of the wing that went over his shoulders and wrapped around him. Upon his wrist making contact, the "Fire" he touched simply trailed his hand before returning to its normal spot and Shape. With a sigh of boredom, the boy spoke "Unfortunately, it is not real. As much as it gives me pain to say, I used a potion for my costume." Zelrius had thought the same words as Lowenthal, though there was no way he could actually know it. "Some people tailored their suits while I got lazy and merely drank some liquid. Tis honestly a Shame for someone of my prestige and wealth." The boy chuckled at her following comment. "Special? I talk to most people, because it is polite. You'd have to prove you're special for me to believe." He raised his eyebrows challenging at Nirvana. "Tame you? Dear Lady, I have slain a Hydra and a Phoenix, I am sure I could tame something as simple as a female." It was in that same thought of speaking that Zelrius thought back to a second to Shaya, of whom "played" too. "Aye, you're right there. Playing is fun."  Zelrius offered another bow as she introduced herself. "Well, once more, Salutations Lady Nirvana. And, I am told it is "Nice" meeting me a lot."

Zelrius decided that was enough for this moment and actually kept up with conversation with Lowenthal, something he didn't do for many people. "Aye, I enjoy the costume, but your's is not only good as well, it actually exists. Mine is just a figment of imagination brought to life for only an evening." It was the comment following the costume compliments that made Zelrius genuinely laugh. "If Tristan does show up in that attire, I must request a dance with him." He laughed more at the thought of two male Commandants, dancing with eachother, one in a speed, and one with flaming wings. Oh the Irony. I'd never hear the end of that for as long as we are in Aincrad, and possibly further. "Sir Lowenthal," For some reason, Zelrius had decided Lowenthal had earned his honorary Sir title. "To sugarcoat is to stretch the truth. I wish to tell the whole truth. Though if you truly request, I will keep my greatness to myself. Only because I respect you as my host." Naturally Zelrius was joking, but would in fact tone it down if the Leader of The Velvet Room seriously asked him to. "Don't have a girl hmm?"  The boy smirked. "Well I appreciate your honesty in saying you don't have one either. Though I doubt it is my 'tact' that scares them off."

The question that Lowenthal asked Nirvana actually caught the golden eyed boy's attention. He enjoyed origin stories and turned his attention to her. "Aye, tell us about your beginnings. Start to this moment, please, Lady Nirvana." The title and name had come out in a smoother and quieter tone.

Piera nodded at their guild leader as he explained where he got experience doing such things from. "Well it damn sure paid off, everything looks amazing." The brunette grinned, pleased at the compliment before she realized that Lowenthal was talking about both her and Lee, which meant that he was hear now. Craning her neck, her smile widened as she caught sight of a familiar shambling form and waved over the decomposing corpse. "He got attacked by zombies on the way to the wedding and I tragically committed suicide and now spend my afterlife haunting his zombie-fied form. Making sure he doesn't run into polls or off cliffs, that sort of thing." Once Lee was in reaching range, the ghostly bride reached down and firmly cupped his butt with a pleased smile. "The only way the relationship survives now is because he can't eat me."

Then the werewolf greeted another newcomer and Piera turned slightly to see a person in a full red and white suit with a large helmet covering their entire head, leaving no clues as to their identity. Tilting her head in curiosity she murmured in curiosity, "What's he supposed to be?" The only reaction the masked person gave was a thumbs up to the Fool before pointing to something that she couldn't see. Two more people entered the area, separately though and her eyes were immediately drawn to both for different visual reasons. The man because she recognized him as Zelrius, though the flaming dual colored wings were definitely new. And the woman because she was quite scantily dressed, which wasn't uncommon given the holiday. She preferred different costumes but to each their own. And it certainly drew attention as shortly after, their fearless leader excused himself, leaving Jomei in charge as he went to greet the guest.

Letting out an amused and only slightly exasperated sigh, the brunette teased to her usually ginger friend, "As soon as a pretty face walks in, he abandons us to do all the work. Then again, he did set everything up." With an easy going smile and arm still around her zombie boyfriend, the ghost bride glanced between the masked man and Jomei. "So you're a....skeleton or a pumpkin lord or something. And you're a......champion of justice?" The brunette hazarded a guess with the first thing that came to mind.

"Yeah. I could not think of anything without being marked as a tall leprechaun." he rubbed the back of his neck, the word leprechaun sticking out because of his accent and origin of that word. "So I figured I would have Piera come up with something to change how I look." Jomei smiled, which looked like a creepy, toothy grin because of the makeup on his lips. "Your costume looks awesome as well, lad!" he looked the man up and down at his costume, which looked completely hand made by Lowenthal. That made the whole look even better. A familiar voice wishing the two a happy Halloween caused the man to turn around to see the woman. However, at the ghastly sight of a blue skinned woman, followed shortly behind by a zombified man, he could not help but flinch backwards in shock. "Jaysus! W-wow Piera. Your guys' costumes are incredible!"

Another person came up to the group to greet them using a lack of words. The man, who was dressed as a red, masked superhero, spoke to the group without actually speaking.. yet his hand gestures seemed as if he was talking. Jomei raised a sharp eyebrow at the man.. or woman.. he could not tell. The costume was interesting enough, but he wondered why he could not talk.. maybe the helmet cut off all sound from exiting it. Jomei gave the costumed person a friendly, welcoming wave. Soon after that, Lowenthal pat him on the shoulder, putting him in charge and going off to speak to another player who had entered the party, one whom he did not recognize. Jomei decided to give the girl who leaned on the opposite wall a wave, welcoming her to the party.. which he was sure Lowenthal would do just as well of a job, if not better.

Jomei chuckled, "Aye. Well at least he's feeling better about the whole Clarence situation." he crosses his arms over his chest and smirked. Jomei then noticed the door open, and a golden figure enter, wearing a tuxedo. Jomei did not need to do much investigating to realize the blonde haired man was Zelrius. He was happy to know even he would have been interested in coming to their party. Zel then decided to join the Lowenthal and female group and speak with them, leaving the four other players, one whom could not speak, to chat amongst themselves. Piera tried to guess the two player's costumes, to which Jomei shrugged. "You know.. I don't think I really was going for anything specific.. Trying to just go for a spooky look. Which obviously you guys have me beat on." he laughed, turning to the red ranger, "However, it is you I am curious about."

The purple haired girl slowly walked through the street of Urbus, holding the mysterious invitation in her hands. She had no idea who slipped this letter into her belt when she was not looking, and had the right mind to ignore it and see it as some sort of trap or scam. However, she realized the event was being hosted by The Velvet Room, an interesting guild whose name she had heard more than once one different occasions, so she figured there would be no harm in going. Examining the invitation one more time to figure out exactly where she needed to go, she placed the letter back into her inventory and looked up straight again.  She had never been to a social event like this in Sword Art, where she figured she would most likely know none of the other patrons. She considered messaging Shaya.. or someone else to accompany her so she was not alone, but then again.. she would focus on that person and not bother meeting new people.

The girl noticed the hall where the party was being held off in the distance by the small purple and black banners outside, the trademark colors of the Velvet Room that were on the letter. Jevi hoped her costume was up to par with some of the others there. She wore a beige button down shirt, baggier than usual on the sleeves. Over that, she wore a black leather vest, both were unbuttoned slightly. She wore matching black pants and knee high black boots. Around her head she wore a large red headband with beads handing off of it. She also decided to craft a basic cutlass to make the costume even more authentic. No, a pirate was not very scary, but she figured the usual glares from her bright yellow eyes were enough on a regular basis.. and decided to go with something a little more fun for once.

Finally reaching the building, she took a deep breath before opening to doors to the large hall. It was decorated with different fall and halloween decor, from jack'o lanterns to streamers. It truly looked like a Halloween party, just missing the fog machines and Bobby Pickett's, The Monster Mash, on repeat. Jevi smirked as she looked around at the few players in attendance, not necessarily recognizing anyone. She did, however, notice the girl being spoken to by the werewolf and the golden prom date from hell. She shrugged her shoulders and stood there, not exactly sure what to do.

Well, it was at this point Kalesh had to rely on charades. To Piera's question on him being a hero of justice he nodded and gave an excited thumbs up, soon placing both fists on his hips and holding his head high while puffing out his chest a little. It was the type of pose that if this were TV show something along the lines 'The hero has arrived' would have appeared behind his back. Unfortunately though imagination would have to do! He listened curiously as Piera and Jomei spoke about costumes, nodding excitedly at the comment from Jomei about the couple's costumes being outstanding! He definitely couldn't deny this, in fact it was rather sweet to him in a way! Group costumes were always an awesome thing, so he had no complaints about them going as they are! He decides to make a heart with his fingers and place it over his eye, getting both Piera and Lee into the frame for a moment.

He would have risen a brow at Jomei's comment about Clarence and Lowenthal, not really knowing who Clarence was... Then his memory shot back to another party he was at, the bottom of his fist hitting his cupped palm in an 'Ah, that's it!' gesture. He then nods to Jomei who then says they are interested in him. He would have smiled but instead opted to gesture to his helmet, and then make an X across his chest using his arms, trying to sign out the helmet wasn't about to come off. He did pause a moment and put his arms straight and made them tick like clock before making another X and shaking his head. 'It wasn't time yet to reveal his identity' was the message he was attempting to convey. He had a schedule to adhere to, one that needed pinpoint perfect timing! The biggest downside was not being able to eat free food or candy though. The sacrifices one must make for tricks!

"No way! Basic, classic werewolf? Can't beat that, honestly." She paused, playfully shoving Lowenthal's right shoulder, to prove she thought that his thoughts about his own costume were silly. "I like it so that's all that should matter~" Nirvana winked in his direction, wanting to boost the confidence of the man standing before her. Even if only a little bit. She felt the same way about her own attire, so maybe making someone else like their own would help her out. "I only changed my eyes, but you could always do that in the real world. Just imagine if we had potions outside of the game... Halloween would be a lot more badass, don'tchya think? Maybe a little too terrifying..." Muttering the last sentence, Nirvana imagined what it'd be like to be walking on the street only to be approached by someone who looked like the real thing, whether it be a ghost or monster. There'd be a lot of children crying and jump-scares all night. Maybe that idea wasn't the best after all.

The blush that Lowenthal gave was just plain cute. Did he even try? Nirvana was having fun with him, and something as simple as talking back and forth didn't bother her one bit. It was proving to be entertaining so far. Just for that fact she hadn't done anything to fix her low top half of the dress. "Really? I think there should be more on your list... But, hey, if that's what makes you comfortable." She shrugged, enjoying the flirtatious comments she slipped into her sentences now and then. Seeing people react, now that was always amusing no matter who it came from. "Hopefully it stays a pleasure, then."

Zelruis' arrogance, well, she didn't mind it all too much. She could flaunt her ego at times too though usually only for joke-related purposes. He, as Lowenthal put it, could try and sugar coat his act, but maybe that was his normal attitude. Not much anyone could do about someone's set and stone personality. Might as well accept it and move on. Glaring at Zelruis, Nirvana furrowed her thin brows slightly before speaking. "I don't need to prove the fact that I'm special, because it's obviously true~" She held her head up high and flipped her hair off to the side once more. "But I'm glad you don't see yourself as too good for other people, or else we might have not met. I'll admit you're an interesting person." In this game, so far at least, she hadn't met someone quite like the Azure Brigade guild leader himself. But geez if he didn't want her to blow a fume then he'd have to do a better job when it came to choosing words.

"Hah. You're real funny. A woman is the most complicated thing you'll ever encounter in your entire life, in or out of a video game. But..." She huffed, calming down a bit. No need to get so fussy quite this soon. "you must be pretty powerful." Pausing once more, she looked Zelrius up and down with a unimpressed expression plastered onto her face. She believed him all right, and would love to muse about how exactly he defeated, yet she just couldn't help herself. Nirvana's mood was in an odd place. The petty argument was tossed over her shoulder once the conversation continued. "I enjoy a game or two." At least he was being a tad bit nice, which made her form somewhat of a smile. "Nice is one word to describe it, I guess." Once the two men decided to converse among themselves, giving Nirvana time to cool down luckily, she found herself scanning the room as a newcomer had arrived. The woman's dark skin and original costume caught her attention. Not to mention that purple hair. Nirvana would definitely have to approach the stranger sooner or later, she seemed different.

"I dunno, Zelruis. Women often prefer their sugar over spice." She was referring to Lowenthal's sweetness, and Zelruis' formal yet dogmatic attitude. "Hm? Oh it's not thrilling or dramatic or special buuuuuut," Dragging the word on was Nirvana's own way of a drum roll. "I like to beat things up. Simple as that. I had so much anger pent up for... reasons... but keeping it inside all that time was killing me. I didn't wanna die because I was being a crybaby so I stood up and decided it was time to be the awesome person I am. Actually, I was gonna take the Martial Arts quest once I get a Blacksmith to make some gauntlets or something. Even switched my War Hammer skill to Wild Dance just for the hand-to-hand, close-up battle benefits." Her hunger for combat would seem quite obvious during her talk, most likely. "I've met a lot of people, too. Videos games may suck but this one isn't so bad... except for death and whatever. Satisfying answer for my two favorite party guests, yeah?"

Lowenthal grinned as she mentioned she prefered the close range combat. "I'm a dagger user myself. Nothing's more fun than rushing in a landing five strikes in the blink of an eye." Lowenthal chuckled. That reminded him of Aramail, somewhat of a childhood friend who wasn't. Well, she was a martial artist with an obsession to steak and not so much of a dancer. Lowenthal thought, remembering his accountant friend. Last he had heard from her was that she had opened a shop on the first floor, and joined a guild. And as for Nirvana's reason to going out into the world, Lowenthal could relate to it. Zel was probably out since the beginning. "Yeah, I get that. I mean, I was just wasting away in that starting town. Felt like I had to do something. Well it was more like I wanted to go out and do something. Blaze a shining path, make a name for myself, be a hero. That kind of selfish stuff." Lowenthal said shrugging. Lowenthal took a quick peek around, noticing that yet another guest had arrived. "Y'know, I'd like to see how awesome you actually are. After the party, you wanna hang out for a bit? Farm a few mobs? Give you a chance to see just how equally awesome I am." Lowenthal teased. He wanted to get back to managing his party. He did enjoy talking to Nirvana, and he felt like he had a good chance, against Zel at least.

Zelrius merely listened as they conversed back and forth and both their words to him and each other just blew over his head. Boredom had sunk in on the blonde boy, just as it had it so many other times. Though he would never admit it, even his own birthday party was simply boring and not a lot of fun. Still, he wasn't one to complain, his arrogant smile just faded to a flat line and his brows creased in thought. "Eh, well most people are all sugar. How... monochromatic. The last thing I want is to be like everyone else." The irony in that sentence being he was giving it in a monotone voice. It was on Lowenthal's story that Zelrius regained a slight interest. "Humorously enough, I too wanted to be a hero. Or the strongest player in Aincrad. Or both." He laughed, and although he knew it was wrong to compliment himself the boy finished. "Guess I achieved my goal. Isn't that right Lowenthal?"

Zelrius waited to hear his response and then bowed once more. "While it was nice for a moment talking to you. My interest and intrigue are [censored] out." That was something Zelrius did often too: Throw in profane words with his attempted pleasant speech pattern. "I am off to go find something to do before I feel the urge to go start a Guild War or something just to entertain me." In saying this, he had intended for a joking tone, but it had come out rather serious. That was due to the fact that he himself knew it was true; he would go to that length just for the slightest bit of excitement. "It was a pleasure Lady Nirvana and Sir Lowenthal. Vale." He had bid them farewell in Latin, as he had done whenever leaving someone's presence and walked off into the party room, to merely stand by a table, look into the floor lost in thought, and try not to be too bored.
