With other bruisers lined up, it was better to play a more supportive roll now and take up arms to help defend against the would be onslaught should they fail in their attacks. Blitzing through the crowd of players to the forefront of the battle, a blur of red and white appeared before the tall red haired gallant knight of the Azure Brigade. His dedication to take the harm unto himself and away from the party had granted him aid amongst the peers of the group and once more Opal was left with an option to help when in need. Revealing a green vial of liquid, the woman had emerged to the forefront and took the liberty of splashing the liquid against his armor and allowing it to sink through and revitalize his Hit Points. "Who knows what can happen in the next few rounds, but I rather not chance losing you out there. It's not much I can do, but I hope it helps keep you alive long enough to see another day." Knowing little of the player before she, she would not hesitate to see no more death in the game. And how they rallied to help him...she knew he had importance not to just the battle but as a friend and comrade to those who came to his aid. She too would rally with him and help out. Looking at his gauge for said thing, Zelrius watched it only crawl a point up. Grimacing at how unbearably slow it was going, Zelrius dug through his inventory with a gloved finger. Within a few moments, Zelrius came across what he was looking for. Pressing the button, in his hand a small yellow object appeared. Takao's lemon. The boy quickly tapped it, the game's way of knowing he wanted the peel off, and then bit into the Lemon. Within moments, Zelrius energy bar had jumped. +1 Nat Energy Regen, +6 From Lemon. It was clear that this monster was pitiful compared to it former self, even more rotten than before. However its enemy was worn out too and the PumpKing would attempt to outlast its enemy for as long as possible. With no further signs of healing or trickery otherwise, all that was left was to whittle away the beast's final chunk of health. Unfortunately, he himself was hardly in any position to do it- a quick glance to the meter beside his health confirmed that his energy sat at a grand total of one. With a sigh, Azide spun the knife once between his fingers before reaffirming his grip. Running forward, he plunged the blade into the creature, but the cold steel of Chemikaze failed to pierce very deeply without the accompaniment of its familiar red glow. He could only hope those with more energy of the damage dealers would be able to attack and kill it soon, mostly because while hew knew Zelrius did the most damage using darkness blade, even Zel was low on energy. He had a feeling the boss had the intention of dragging the fight on and it showed. He sighed, thinking about what to do next, then decided he would just keep doing what he has been for the past while, Parry to have him receive less damage. He had been healed considerably without even asking to be healed so greatly too, to which he could only respond with "Thanks for the healing!" to everyone in the heat of combat. Rebekah 0 Posted November 16, 2015 #66 Report Share Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) It had been a very long time since the girl was last able to land an attack, and as she waited for her turn once again, she knew that she was going to have to change something up as nothing had been working for her so far. She did not have an idea about what to do, but she knew that she had to do something. The girl knew that she did not have enough damage to kill it but was going to be able to do as much as she can to allow someone else to kill the thing. It was a nice long battle, but the girl knew on the next rotation, she was not going to get another chance at it, unless there was a big screw up with all the players that had happened in front of her, which should not have happened. But she was content to finally land her strike on the boss after missing two times in a row before this. Moments later, one of the Pumpking's vines came shooting towards the men. Jomei's eyes widened as it whirred past him, causing him to dive out of the way and hit the ground rolling. Quickly spinning as his body came back upright to look at Tristan, Jomei saw the man take some of the attack, but easily parry the tentacle with his shield and spear. The man smirked, he should invest in learning how to parry attacks like that, it was a helpful tactic for a rapier user after all. Jomei got back up to his feet and stepped away from Tristan, missing his chance to attack again. However so was the power of the PumpKing as it lashed out and only hit thin air, vines slamming around Tristan harmlessly. It made the PumpKing grow angry at the lack of power it had now compared to aforementioned, where it threatened the evry lives of those on the field. The tide had really shifted from when they had first started, moving from one of regaining their momentum to simply mowing down the creature. Tristan had recovered to a decent level of health as well, and with the creature on its last legs he gave a smirk, "Alright then. Let's finish this thing off..." Looking over at his fiancee he gave a nod, "I'll leave the final strike to you. Take it down..." Rushing forward he activated <<Meteor Break>> once again, delivering the blindingly fast barrage of slashes and tackles which left the creature riddled with a series of golden cuts before he leapt back. The Pumpkin witch strolled in with their broom on their back and said "Congratulaaatioooons! You did a super brill job at doing that! Well a witches promise must always be kept, so have here your rewards for your efforts! But know this, while halloween may be over, don't think the horror of Aincrad stops here~". The witch cackled as they flew off on their broom into the distance, the sky of the fields above them clearing and revealing sunlight again. «PumpKing» «HP»: DEAD «Mitigation»: 40 Congratulations! ~All players obtain 3 SP and receive 3000 Col + 1 SP for a completed topic. ~Most post action healing (60) by Ssendom reward: «Healing Fog»: Bottled fog from the Pumpkin Patch, and a gift from the Pumpkin Witch, it glows with a soft green colour. Heals a player 50% of his/her max HP. Does not overheal. Will never run out but can only be used once per thread. Appearance ~Tristan gets the highest damage received (422 dmg) reward: «Pumpkin Shield»: A round shield made from the hide of the strongest pumpkin, before the PumpKing that is. Orange in colour, and carved with a scary face to better suit the mood. A gift from the Pumpkin Witch for saving her garden, that gives the player. It also negates being bled. [+6 Mitigation +6 Thorns, Bloodclot] Appearance ~Zelrius gets the highest total damage (454 dmg) reward: «Scarecrows Sickle»: A weapon that looks more like a tool, than anything that would cause damage. Despite that, it seems though in the right hands it would cause some trouble. [+3 Damage, 1Bleed] Appearance ~Teayre gets the Last Hit reward: «PumpKing's Crown»: The crown that the PumpKing wore. How he got it on, and where he got it still remains a mystery. It makes the wearer more attuned the nature. When searching for crafting materials, the player finds 2 instead of one. Grants +3 Keen.
