Action: Howl Shield was quick on the uptake, but not quick enough, leaping over his downed comrade to put himself in the middle as a barrier. "People keep forgetting how things work around us. You do not-" he banged the bottom of his shield on the ground, sending a crashing 'bang' through the cavern, "ignore the guy with the shield! Besides, you don't need 'shoeses.' If you're going to make us into something..." Shield took a moment to draw in breath. His breastplate puffed out like a puffer fish as he filled his lungs, squeezing the air with his rib cage to expel it as forcefully as possible. "-THEN YOU NEED TO MAKE US INTO MASKS TO COVER YOUR UGLY FACES!" The unearthly things hissed, and simultaneously, they began to advance on Shield. He stood his ground, staring them down as he brought his shield up and into position. They hit hard. Neither of us have been in the yellow before. Gotta keep the pressure off! They yelled in fear as the blow approached and collided with them, destroying them both instantly. The martial artist landed and snatched up his hard fought gemstone and was pleased to see an item tag on it this time. He quickly added to his inventory and looked to his guardian. "They hit hard, but they had nothing in terms of health. Certainly did a number on me though. A pack of those would have been nasty." He smirked as he turned to head back. "Cool trap though. This is the best of the three quests." With that, the two of them managed to find their way out of the cave. They took their time making their way through the forest, making sure to watch the treetops and with Shield leading the way while Beat gradually recovered his health. It was getting to be about evening before thhey finally reached the grove again. Hannah ran to greet them and was overjoyed as they each handed her their gemstone. She asked them to wait as she crafted them a pair of amulets from their respective gemstones. After accepting their rewards and saying their goodbyes, Beat being much more polite, but in a deliberately exaggerated way, the two players headed back to town, Beat a little worse for wear. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thread Complete!
