Feb 14th 2023 [Tuesday]

8:50 AM

On February 13th, 2023 the day before the event every player had received a message about a upcoming event for the next day… the Dance of the Crossed Paths, where love will roam free and for players to take a breather from the front lines and the constant grind of a plentiful amounts of quests and mobs to gain their fair share of SP. It was recommended to come into this event dressed formally not wearing their combat gear, if Guards spot players attempting to walk in wearing their typical gear, they will be told to stop and change into something more formal. Players are allowed to bring their weapons inside castle however they are told to keep the commotion down.

«Foyer of Amour»

Inside the castle of Amour, leads into a well lit area, with elegant designs carved into the wooden arc’s and the staircases, the staircases appear to be a darkened wood perfectly carved fit for a king. To the right is the door that leads towards the kitchen in which is full of pastries and drinks for the players to enjoy, and to the left leads towards the Hallway of Might where players are told they can have duals in. Forward is a staircase that leads downward to the main area in the center a fountain lies flowing… surrounding the area are statues of angels that appear to have bow and arrows and the tips of the arrows being hearts. Slow and music plays throughout the room, leaving a romantic vibe throughout the air.

All other sections of the castle is blocked off, and cannot be entered by players.

«Thread Rules and Details»

  1. This event is a follow up to the Valentines Event Boss, on February 12th a NPC will arrive in distress speaking about the boss, and on February 13th the thread will be locked.

  2. After the thread is locked, the valentine's boss event will appear and players will be asked to go fight. Meaning if you did not participate in this event you cannot participate in the boss.

  3. No drama or commotion, if a player is found insulting others, wrecking the party, or generally being rude towards one another, Guards will capture the player and throw them out of the castle, in which that player will not participate in the Valentines Boss and for the duration of the thread and will not receive any rewards.

  4. If players participate in a duel, they can only use their weapons. Nothing more, no more equipment, no potions, no crystals. [Half-loss duels only, no full losses.]

  5. Players may create a temporary “Vanity” type item for their formal appearances as players equipment is not allowed in the castle. [Except their weapons.]

  6. There is no level restriction to this event, and is considered to be an open party.

  7. Character Development with other players is encouraged, don’t be a stick in the mud ;)
  8. Rewards will be the same as a normal Open Party, reminder you cannot gain more SP than you do posts.

Beatbox had recently gotten a whole group message to all of the players in Aincrad informing him about a dance on the next day... he had recently hadn't heard from Mossino recently and had suddenly upped and disappeared... he sighed... he wished he could go with someone to this event, however he had thought to himself to go instead. He was messaged to come formally, he had gone to an NPC tailor to get an outfit for him to were...

On the next day, he had put on the suit that he had gotten and stepped in front of his mirror to be sure that he was looking nice and dandy... if anything, he could have a fun dual with some people that are to appear. And without much time he had gotten inside the castle and stepped downwards to look around... it looked like he was the first one here, well... at least its better than being late.

The blond smiled as he stepped forward, towards the castle. It happened to be on his favorite floor, and it was a dance for.... Well Valentines Day. Jonathan smiled at the thought as he had invited a special someone to join him. Rin. They had a rather interesting time together last time, and he preferred to believe that they were "Budding" as the term might go. He smiled and he stopped at a place to equip his suit and then stopped by the door on the fourth floor. He would wait here for @Rin. He nodded to the guards who seemed to be of approval to him. He did not equip his sword even though it was permitted. He knew Rin was of the non-combat style and he wanted her to be as happy as possible. He had sent her message of where to meet him at, and to wear her best. He also said if she wanted to match, then she could wear a white and gold dress, or whatever suits her fancy. This event might just be the big step the two of them needed. There did not seem to be many people there yet, but he felt that there would definitely be some coming up.

I know how you are, but the Guards won't let you in the castle while wearing your Kat Suit. Please Come f you are not busy!

Itzal was nervous.  As nervous as he usually was back when he was still getting used to dating @Kasier.  It wasn't because he was dating Kasier again, no far from it.  It was because this time, the date would be in public and involve dancing.  @Aereth had managed to squeeze a few pointers in beforehand, but overall he didn't really have any experience.  Hopefully, as he mentioned to Aereth, dancing would be a little like combat.  Kasier and Itzal had got dressed back at his shop.  Itzal wore a black suit with a silver bow tie and his black phadoraAnd he saw that Kasier was wearing her dress.  The fact that she was willing to wear this in public with Itzal was saying a lot.  He knew she didn't really like showing this side of herself that often at all.  He smiled nervously to Kasier as they approached the castle.  As always his weapon was stored in his battle ready inventory, as well as Beauty Incarnated, and his black armor Niger Natio.  Velnia was flying around gleefully, excited that they were going to be joining a party.  "Well...  We're here."  They were traveling in a carriage that Itzal had rented.  He knew Kasier wanted to be the maiden of Aincrad, and to him she already was.  And thus there was no way he'd let her travel on foot to a party.  He helped her out of the carriage and they walked together to the castle gates.  Hopefully things didn't get overly embarrassing for Itzal...  He noticed Jonathan and smiled to him, nodding.  "Hey Jonathan!  Er, may I ask who you came with?"  @Morgenstern

It was an odd turn of events, in recent days she had merely left herself within her own shop barricaded behind various clothing designs and boxes filled with lefter fabric. The world was just a terrifying place though since her meeting with Morgenstern, nay Jon, she had been starting to feel just a twinge of happiness. The season to be jolly had passed and now it seemed Valentine's day was once again upon her. It was the first year she had been alone for this couple's day since the passing of Alex. This dreadful game and it's creator would surely pay for the atrocities that were committed by the implementation of a prison death game. Rin laid against the bench in her shop, the second floor was always beautiful and warm but she hadn't expected any messages as she was about to take a short cat nap. A ding roused her from her prone position as she now sat up with a sigh. Her fingers hastily flicked passed the various menus, the layout still mad no sense to her since it was corrected directly to their minds. Her eyes skimmed over it as she blinked recognizing the name, "Jon?"

"There is a Valentines Day event?" She red aloud to before glancing around her shop realizing she need to find something that would fit. No armor or the like while within the castle wall she guessed from his comment. As she glanced over her options she sighed fingers nervously interlacing with one another as she wasn't certain she was ready for an event like this. "B-but if I don't go then I know I never will be." A solemn sigh escaped from her lips as she now wandered over gripping a gorgeous silver dress she had made. It wasn't often that she got to show off her own designs so she guessed this dance could help. As she placed her formal wear into her inventory she once again allowed her finger tips to dance across the equipment menu as she now materialized her dancing outfit.

"Guess it's time to stand on you feet again ... oh dear," she mewled sadly as she now made her way to the teleportation platform. "Floor four please."

As she arrived to the snowy level she shivered tapping out another request to her equipment causing a winter coat to appear over top to help shield her body and bare shoulders. This isn't at all weird walking out toward a castle for a Valentines Dance in a dress. I'm going to commit social suicide aren't I. She whined her eyes now fixed to the snowy path as she slowly approached the castle spotting a guard who now took her by the hand and escorted her in. "Oh umm t-thanks." As she was led up to the castle gate she started to wave toward Jon. "Hi, @Morgenstern" she murmured now being left their by the guard as he returned to his post for the next player.

The blond watched slowly as a carriage arrived, and Itzal was the first to step out. He moved over to the other door and helped Kasier out, acting like a gentleman. He could not even help but smile as the two walked out. @Itzal had never seemed like the type to do this, but Jonathan was not here to judge. As the man walked closer, he stepped up to Jonathan causing the blond to smile. "Hey man! Nice hat!" Jonathan snickered and patted the man on the shoulder. He was wearing a black suit and a silver bow time, the opposite to Jonathan. As he asked his question Jonathan smiled and prepared to reply. Before he got to though, he saw her. She had been escorted by a guard. He had to remind himself to breathe. She was absolutely stunning. Jonathan beamed at Itzal and walked past him and stopped as he reached Rin. Carefully, he linked their arms and led her up the step and out of the cold. As they walked inside, he took her coat and it faded as it came into contact with his hands, back into her inventory.

"Hello Rin. Gosh, you look gorgeous!" The blond smiled and looked around at the castle. It looked rather fancy. He smiled as he looked down at the woman. "How have things been going recently?" He stood facing the woman. He was a little lost for words so he just left her to answer. After the nice little conversation the blond looked at the woman and held out his hand where he asked her, "Dance?"

Teion hadn't realized she had been holding her breath until the air finally released itself from her lungs. What was she doing here? The blacksmith stood just outside the open front entrance of Castle Amour. An NPC knight had looked her over when she first approached, and when he deemed her outfit was appropriate for the event, offered her a bow and waved an arm to welcome her inside. After the first thirty seconds passed, the figure repeated the motion, and the cycle would continue as she stood frozen in place. These feelings of anxiety and butterflies in her stomach--she had forgotten what either had felt like long ago, it seemed. The woman entwined her fingers in front of her torso, fidgeting nervously before taking another deep breath and moving herself forward.

As the violet-haired player entered the massive foyer, she quickly realized it wasn't yet as crowded as she had expected. The woman simply focused on taking steady breaths, scanning the other faces she didn't quite recognize. For a moment she wondered if she would still be as nervous if the grinning redhead was by her side, nudging her with his elbow and suggesting they go find something good to eat here. Teion quickly closed her eyes tight, giving her head a firm shake to knock the fantasy out of her thoughts. Regaining her composure, the woman was quickly at a loss. She made it all the way here...but now what?

Beatbox had taken a moment and leaned against the wood that railed the sides from the ground making sure that they didn't fall, looking around... waiting for more players to arrive, it wasn't long till Itzal had appeared, he only knew that time would pass before Kasier was here too, he looked over and in a surprise seeing Morgenstern with someone, he smirked... he was honestly impressed that he had managed to get a date for this kind of event. Then time had passed and a familiar hairstyle had walked passed him, him looked at her with a noticed look then felt rather... strange, he didn't really know what... but she really knew how to dress up despite being so socially awkward, she had looked stunning. Beatbox had shook his head trying to hide the blush he had formed and gained his calm posture and stood up and walked towards her, he might as well, he had no one coming to see him. He walked behind him and placed a hand over his heart and bowed before her and said "Evening Teion, you sure dress up nice." he regained his posture and placed his hand behind his neck "I'm actually kind of surprised that I made it here, I am not that big of a fan of dressing... formally." he chuckled.

Teion nearly jumped when she heard a familiar voice behind her. The girl spun around, quickly spotting the blonde as he offered her what seemed like one of his signature bows. After realizing it was Beatbox that stood before her, she relaxed a bit and absently smoothed over the wide pleats in her dress. "Same here..." She mumbled, avoiding eye contact as her gaze drifted across the marble floor. What was she so embarrassed about? She'd worn dresses before; despite her preference for casual clothing before Sword Art Online became her new life, she even enjoyed dressing up and being girly now and then. Her lifestyle did change pretty drastically after a few months in Aincrad, however. Perhaps it was only natural for her to feel out of place at this point.

"Oh! Um..." The girl perked up, looking to Beatbox as if she had realized something. "Sorry. You look nice, too." She certainly didn't have a way with words, but that was nothing new. There was just less than normal nowadays. She brought her hands in front of her again, idly lacing her fingers as her eyes drifted out across the foyer. "It's nice to have a party like this." She commented simply. While this day would prove to test her social nerves, she still found a bit of fondness towards the event as a whole.

Beatbox had chuckled as she had tried to avoid eye contact, she was just as socially awkward as ever. Then was actually complimented by her on his looks today, he chuckled "Thanks, I try my best at least." He looked around the foyer and from side to side seeing the routes to go to the kitchen and to the areas in which players can dual it out. He then looked over to Teion that had made a simple statement about having a party like this, he smiled... it had barely begun, heck the music hadn't even started yet, yet he placed a hand behind his head as he looked outwards to the lit candles that stood upon a perch lighting up the room "Yeah, despite it not starting just yet, I can already tell that this is going to be a good event." he chuckled "Heck it even said to bring a date with you on this event, but I guess that's just to enhance the experience." he chuckled some more and shook his head as he looked down in disappointment with himself "Jesus do I have genuinely have NOTHING to say besides that? Way to screw it up James." he sighed as he placed his finger between his eyes and shook his head.

A light yawn escaped Macradon's mouth as he woke up from his nap. It wasn't too long ago he went farming for hours upon hours, so he had to take a nap here and there, just to be sure that he wouldn't get any fatigue ... wonder if that kind of fatigue would be in this game as well ... He would take on his clothes to get ready out and see if he could find some cheap things to eat, a small message would appear on his HUD. "What is this ... Valentines Party? ... do you ... have to bring a partner or something?" Macradon would ponder, but not really think about it "I'm sure I'm not the only singular being at that party, so I could just join" he thought and would begin to venture to the Warp Plaza. "Teleportation, Fourth Floor" he said as light turquoise light engulfed his body, transferring him from the first floor to the fourth floor. Clad in his armor, Macradon would locate the castle where the party would be held, it wasn't hard to notice the sudden appearance of a gigantic castle, so Macradon was sure where to look.

As he began to walk towards the castle, a few guards would lower their spears in a cross, blocking Macradon from enteren. "C'mon ... you can't mean I need a partner for this?" he said, slightly whimpering. "No sir, it's just that we can't let you enter in that type of clothing, this is a formal party, so please return in formal wear" one of the guards said "Ah, of course" Macradon replied and would head back to town and find a small clothing shop, picking out a nice shirt, sweater, jacket combo that would fit him, as well as some stretchy pants that had some nice look to them. A necklace would hang from around his neck with the KoB sigel, as well as a pin stuck onto the jacket's pocket. Exchanging out his armor for his formal wear, Macradon would return to the castle. "Can I at least keep my weapon on me?" he asked the guards "Yes, sir, but try not to make any commotion" the guard replied "Righty~" Macradon said with a wink as he would enter the castle. Macradon would switch out the Scarecrow's Sickle for the Sword of the Ancients. It was time to begin using this big slab of steel for something good other than just being a display piece in his shop. The Sickle would go to someone else at another point, only time would tell Macradon who to hand it over to.

Sliding a hand through his alabaster hair as the wind would take in, blowing it all the way around. His scarlet eyes would pierce through the white hair that would occasionally swoop by his face. Entering the gigantic ball room, Macradon would look around at the many different lights everywhere, this was a well lit room indeed. "Oh, snacks!" he thought, this was the first thing he thought of, not the other guests, no, free snacks. Grabbing a few macaroons, hiding some in hid pockets, Macradon would walk around, greeting his friends. He knew nearly everyone present at the moment, but he was sure that there would be more people arriving. Scouting through the room, Macradon would look at who to greet first, but it seemed like it was obvious, the Guild Mate. Walking over to Beatbox, Macradon would say hello "Heyo, @Beatbox. What's up?" he asked with a small wave in his hand that would go over and put a macaroon in his mouth. Chewing through it quickly as he would greet what seemed to be Beatbox's companion. He hadn't seen this girl before, maybe just once or twice, but not a person he fully had in his memories yet. "Who is that? I know her ... but I forgot her name ... It has been so long since I last saw her ..." he thought, looking at Teion. "Oh, yeah, Teion, that's the name" he thought as he remembered the blacksmith's name. "Greetings to you too, @Teion" He would say with a smile as he lowered his head lightly. "You two look great, are you here together?" he would ask. This was a valentines party, so no wonder people would arrive in pairs, but there were people bound to arrive alone, like Macradon.

Out of all the members in the guild, this one was the one left without a partner to travel. This was most certainly his fault, since he went full-well out of his way to avoid romance. It felt like a shackle to him rather than something willing to benefit him in the future. Selfish ambitions lead him to believe this, as unfortunate as that might have sounded. However, he did not want to be left out on the fun. So he prepared a white-colored suit to match the rest of him, white as snow. Now who to go with… Upon scrolling through his friends list, he saw that there were a few selections he could cherry pick from. His brunette eyes would lazily scroll with boredom hollowing them before one particular name caught his attention. Not the social type it seemed, but perhaps he could assist her with that. Formal events did not have to be so interactive, but a dance sounded like something fun. And so he would send her the message.

A few days later, the event arrived as he would come prepared with a white tuxedo equipped. The cost was brutal towards his wallet, but it was worth it to look as fresh as he did back in the real world. His hair had been given the default look, spiky and surprisingly fitting. Not looking to make a scene, he would not make his presence known by entering. Instead, he would be waiting with his back leaned against a wall, looking for the partner he contacted prior to the event. For fun, he held a Magnolia flower behind his back as well.

Here's a Suit!

Hikoru gave a small sigh and appeared at the gate, his cloak draped over his shoulders but showing his white tuxedo underneath. He wasn't one for social gatherings, but he knew he needed to give a good image to his guild and decided to suck it up and try to look good for at least one night. It was killing him that he wasn't outside getting stronger, getting his Unique Skill higher tiered to try and become the true Master of Shadows, but he needed to do this or else his guild would look... Well, like animals, not coming to a social event thats as formal as this. Before he entered, in case there was a No Message policy, he sent out a few messages to some of the people apart of his guild, trying to make them get here as soon as he could

"There, that should do..." He said as he adjusted his cloak and tuxedo to look the best that they could, before entering the building. He wanted to keep his composure, but he was already starting to feel claustrophobic. So instead, he went over to the punch bowl, his cloak slightly shimmering but not covering his tuxedo at all, taking a small sip, being careful to not get any on his clothes. He breathed and blended into the background, awaiting the event to be over-with and hoping that nobody would notice

Message: In case you weren't here already, this dance is mandatory for everyone. We need to give a good image and see if we can get a few recruits. If you can't make it due to scheduled training that is understood, but please try and make it if you can. Let's make ourselves look like a real proper guild. Bring a date if possible, I myself will just be sticking in the back to watch out for everyone. Don't bother worrying about any creatures or surprise attacks, i'll have it covered. Enjoy yourselves tonight, and make sure to dance for me

`Hidden laid upon the bed in her room. At the moment, she was wearing her casual room clothes. A black shirt with dark black pants. She had absolutely nothing to do. She had already made her appraisals for the day so she would sit in her shop, waiting for at least someone to come. She sat upright in her bed as she heard a small beep. She had received a message. She opened it and grinned as she read it was Sey. She read it carefully It was an invite to a Valentines Event Dance. She slipped her legs off the bed and began to look around her room. She had no... Formal wear. She equipped her cloak and moved about the first floor, checking the shops until she could find a nice cheap black dress. She smiled and moved back to her shop, waiting for the day to come. She was really not too fond of groups, but it would definitely be worth it. She could just not share her username, and nobody but Sey knew what she looked like without a cloak.

As the day finally came, she wanted to be ready as soon as possible. The event was on the fourth floor in a large elegant castle. She kept her cloak equipped, leaving her dress off until she got near. She moved silently forward out of her shop and to the teleportation floor. As she stood upon the pad she smiled and said, "Snowfrost Town" In a flash of blue, she was quickly whisked away. Within seconds she felt much colder, but she did not mind. She looked around, noticing a large castle. That must be her destination. She quietly walked forward.

As she became close she ducked in a unused building to equip her dress. It was not one of the long dresses that you would see normally, but instead black dress, held up by straps on her shoulders. A white line went down the middle on her front side, and at the end the dress blossomed out, the black dress went to her knees, leaving half of her legs exposed. This was the most exposed she would ever be. Her long black hair was curled and it was all put behind her. She was completely ready. She walked forward onto the castle grounds and a guard led her forward. 'There are guards here? Why would they protect a place like this?' She equipped her dagger, concealing the black blade.... She had no sleeves. He quickly placed the blade within the inside of her dress. They approached the castle, not speaking a word to eachother.

The guard dropped her off at the door, told her to not cause any trouble and returned to his post at the gate. She smiled as she entered and her violet eyes searched around. The Scenery was amazing. It was like she was at a royal ball from all those princess stories. Then she seen him. He adorned a pure white suit and she smiled, her shyness melting away as she first saw him. She walked up to @Sey and smiled. "Hello Casper" She smiled awaiting his response. He held his hands behind his back as if he were a butler.

It did not take long before the Master of Shadows would appear, or at least Macradon would notice that he appeared. “Hm .. Guess Hikoru isn’t here with anybody either ... “ he thought, thinking back to the commotion that happened at the Event not too long ago. He would let out a light sigh, seeing the Master of Shadows hide himself in plain sight within the shadows. The feeble rogue hiding in his own little place for now. Macradon would try not to address him and would quickly avert his gaze from upon him back to Teion and Beatbox whom he were standing at. Macradon wondered why the gloomy prince of edginess would be present at a love event for pairs like this … it didn’t really fit him at all, especially not at this moment for him. Trying to throw out the thoughts, Macradon would focus more on the two in front of him.

And there she stood in front of him with and elegant black dress, complimenting her equally black hair. The curls were a nice touch for sure, and the purple eyes she had as well shined brightly in a glamourous way. Despite this being the fourth floor out of all things, he could use his free left hand to flap his jacket, trying to cool himself down. And as usual, she would address him by the nickname that was based off a childrens ghost show, obviously for his pale covering. It was most certainly fitting, and he smiled when she greeted herself to him. The snow-dressed player would return the greeting in a formal way. "Hello M'lady." Sey replied as his right hand would reveal itself from behind his back as he revealed the magnolia he obtained for her. "Glad to see you hear on this wonderful night. Care to join the others with me?"

Pushing himself from off of the wall he had been leaning against, he would take a few steps towards her at a reasonably slow pace. His left hand being free once again, he would daringly attempt to wrap his fingers around the back of her right hand so that their palms could connect. A lady does not introduce herself, that was what his father told him. Friend or not, they were to be presented. With this, he would turn his head to her with a small smile still equipped. "Everyone is waiting for us. Let's not make them wait any longer." Confidence was key in personality, and the ball should most certainly be fun for them. At least, he hoped it would be fun for Hidden. No... Not hoped. He was determined to make it a fun night if that was the last thing he would do. So he proceed to move towards the entrance should he be successful.

As she made her way toward Mergenstern she squeaked losing her footing as she managed to catch herself before collapsing into the stone path that led into the castle. A rather nervous mewl emitted form her as she now gave a slight wave to him, "Oh you know me, I'm perfectly happy I suppose." Rin wasn't great at lying she was worse in this dress the self-consciousness beginning to linger in the back of her mind. No, I look ridiculous I bet why on earth did I pick this stupid dress this was a mistake. The girl's head now drooped down till she was staring at her heels and his dancing shoes she loved dancing or she did while she had a partner who was capable of twirling about. The compliment on her appearance only caused her gaze to sink deeper into the floor, the rosy red cheeks only grow a deeper shade. Was it possible to pass out in this game merely from nerves as she felt like the roller coaster ride was heading for that ending. "Dance?" She responded back more as a question as she wasn't sure if this was the perfect time for her to humiliate herself in front of people she had met over the course of this game. As she looked over she saw Itzal and squeaked, "Oh um hi there Itzal?"

Domarus was working in his shop this time when he received the notification.  When he read the invite his eyebrow cocked.  This would certainly help him build up his reputation.  As for a partner that much was obvious:  He'd go with Keres.  He pushed himself away from the desk and stood up.

"Keres!  Please come in here for a second!"  As he expected she came in almost the instant after calling her.

"You read it too correct?"  She nodded, grinning to Domarus.  It was clear that she was eager to go.
"Are we going to the ball master?"  Domarus couldn't help but smirk at her answer.  He knew Keres and he knew exactly why she'd like to go, and what she'd hope to gain from it.  Which was why he'd need to lay down some ground rules when they went.
"Yes, but some ground rules first:  DO NOT try to embarrass, annoy, or agitate anyone here.  Seeing as how this is a public affair and how others will be coming to enjoy themselves, we cannot make a scene on any level.  Secondly, if the situation allows it you don't need to stay by my side at all times.  You can walk around and mingle from time to time.  And third, if anything happens, you return to my side immediately.  Are we clear?"  Keres' shoulder's fell a little bit and it was clear she was upset with the rules.  However she could not only understand why he set them, but she would do anything for Domarus.  He was her master after all.  Albeit at the same time she was also his only real friend.  Their relationship was a very confusing, complex, and sometimes twisted one.  However she very much enjoyed every aspect of it.  She bowed to Domarus.
"As you wish master."  Domarus nodded and the two went out to find clothes to dress in.  Domarus would not go dressed in something cheap or common.  And neither would Keres.  He spotted a store and entered, looking around and denying nearly all of them.  He moved on to the next store and the next, until he found the perfect suit.  After he did he and Keres went to another store to find her a dress.  It didn't take long before they found the perfect dress for her.  After that they returned to the shop and Domarus pulled out some jewelry he had crafted.  He handed Keres a pair of matching earrings, ring and neckless, all silver with purple gems in them.  Domarus himself wore his new ring, focused wrath, a ruby ring that would glow red, and he always had two golden rings on either side, giving it the gold and red touch.  With that the two made their way to the fourth floor.  Keres was obviously excited despite not being able to mess with other's emotions tonight.  Domarus hired a carriage and when they arrived he saw the castle.  He grinned.
"Well well, this night just keeps getting better doesn't it?"  Keres giggled at that and he winked at her.  He was used to dances seeing as how he'd been to many proms, although not for the reason everyone would believe.  As the guard opened the door, Domarus helped Keres out and two guards escorted the two of them.  When they walked inside he checked to see who was here.  The player Beatbox, whom he had only met briefly and had no qualms with, was standing next to a purple haired woman.  Macradon was also there and seemed to go chat with them.  Morgenstern seemed to be talking with Rin, someone Esther had helped him meet.  It seemed she was a bit flustered which was understandable from what he knew about her.  Then there was Itzal the scout.  He heard much about him through Aereth but only met him once.  He was beginning to lose interest in the player, but he did notice that by his side was Kasier, a player he had run into and found interesting.  He also saw @Sey talking with a purple eyed player.  Honestly, he thought Sey would be the last person to have a date.  Well then, this would be an interesting night.  Time to get some names he decided.  He approached the white haired player and his date with a bright smile, he and Keres appearing to enjoy themselves.

The day before..

Birdie had been shuffling around the workshop, spending her morning making trinkets as she usually would, when a message sprung up in the corner of her HUD. The flavour text mentioned valentines day and a dance, two things she'd usually try and pretend never existed. A scan of the message confirmed her suspicions; a romantic evening set inside a grand building of sorts - the Castle of Amour, this time around.

Her finger hovered over the 'trash' button. 'Is there any point in going? I can't see how there would be any skill points involved... Maybe Arc made plans to go?'

An internal debate rang through her mind before she ultimately dismissed the message, sending it into the trash folder. Birdie decided she wouldn't make a judgement without consulting others first, but if nobody from the guild brought it up, she'd probably spend the evening elsewhere.

Valentines day..

"@Hikoru?" The message icon appeared before Birdie, and her hand gravitated towards it. Figuring it to be an important announcement, she began reading the first sentence aloud. "In case you weren't here already, this dance is mandatory for everyone." She blinked. "That's that, I guess. Hm... scheduled training... bring a date... maybe it'll be fun?" Birdie looked to the Phoenix who'd been sat on top of a door, casting a knowing look down at the bluenette.

"I know..."

Castle of Amour

Birdie waited idly as the guards assessed her dress, both of whom were more than willing to allow her passage into the foyer. Thanking them on her way past, she took one final glance at the icy wonderland outside before casting her gaze on the hall's interior; chandeliers, wall candles, and even a grand staircase that led upstairs with two different paths to choose. She was reminded of a museum in the city her family lived near, of course without the people gathered in fancy clothes and lack of displays.

As her eyes scanned the tops of heads, she noticed a few members of the guild present, some accompanied by their dates for the evening.  Her eyebrows lifted, a mix of panic and regret overcoming the woman as she remembered - or rather, forgot - about asking her partner to the event. Drafting a new message, she asked whether he'd be along for the evening and cited the grand design of the hall. 'It's bigger on the inside.'

To: @Arc

Message: Hey Tobias. Sorry for how long it's been since we last spoke, stuff has been super busy lately. Getting ready for the rush of Tier 3 orders. House isn't gonna buy itself, right? ^.~

Are you coming to the dance? I wasn't going, but one of the Paladins insists all Celestial Ascendants be here. Something about new recruits. They better not expect me to talk like a saleswoman.

By the way, it's bigger on the inside. This place is crazy.

~ Birdie

Hitting send, she took a semi-relaxed breathe and returned to the party; or rather, continued to stand beside a pillar with a glass of fruity liquid in her hands. She took a sip. It was almost certainly not wine.

Beat walked wearing a nice suit he had purchased that day from a local tailor. It was considered a vanity item, so it had been relatively inexpensive, but it certainly wasn't his style at all. As he walked down the road that approached the castle, he could be seen flipping through his menus, the steel gauntlets on his hands disappearing in a whiter shimmer before he closed the interface with a sigh. He understood why they had requested everyone remove their weapons, but doing so always made him feel a little naked. Still, his recent time bonding with Horus had made him realize that their bond offered more than just friendship. The large peregrine falcon happily rested on his shoulder as he presented his invitation to the guards.

"You may enter. Please, enjoy yourself."

Beat's eyes, which had taken on some of the aspect of his familiar's own, scanned the grand room, immediately spotting the food. Horus squeezed Beat's shoulder to keep him focused, reminding him to finish surveying the room before letting his guard down. Bead obeyed diligently as he slowly continued to make his way to the food table. Finally satisfied that the job was done, Horus loosened his grip and was happy to take over scouting duties as Beat retrieved a plate and began to scoop up the scrumptious dishes the castle's chefs had prepared. As he made his way down the table, he spotted an item with a material tag resting on the table. He quickly palmed the item and added it to his inventory as the occurrence reminded him that there were still resources to be found there.

No one I recognize here...I wonder if Shield is coming...still, this may be a good opportunity to socialize and network.

As they walked up the steps, she did not seem the happiest when she mentioned that she was perfectly happy. If she was still trying to cope with what had happened the last time he had seen her, then she would still be a bit troubled. There last encounter was a bit hard... on both of them. More her than him. They moved in, and she seen a bit wary about the dance. He gave her a reassuring smile and said, "We will go when you want to. This is your time to have fun. I am just here to make the experience a bit..." A ring interrupted him and he lifted his hand reading a message. They wanted all of the members to be here? He had pretty much seen quite a few of them. He had seen Sey walk in earlier. Rin spoke to Sey and then a man he had not seen for a while. Domarus. He ensured to ignore him but was a bit worried as he seemed to be heading straight toward Sey. He was not here for them. He was here for Rin.

Jonathan smiled as he looked at Rin. "What would you like to do, m'lady? I am up for anything you would like to do." He smiled reassuringly. The woman was shy and he needed to get her to enjoy herself as much as possible. She might be hard.
