[F13 EB] Adulterated Realms T3

The Fallen Angel turned to watch what the players would do.  As it expected they started by just rushing it, not bothering to talk with the creature at this point.  This of course was smart.  What wasn't smart, was when Macradon decided to join in on the mocking crowd, encouraging Shield to continue.  That, however, was the last straw.  The players were wise to heal each other and keep their friends alive.  Of course, that would only delay the inevitable.  Artamiel turned to @Hestia and laughed, it's voice shifting into an unearthly voice.  The voice belonged to neither man nor woman, but something else entirely.  One that was clearly understandable and precise, but at the same time sounded so alien, cold, dark, and terrifying to most individuals.  Even battle hardened warriors.  "You insist on putting yourself in further harm then?  Very well.  I'll teach you what happens when you disobey the commands of a superior being!!!"  It ignored Baldur's words, instead changing form another time.  This time, it became formlessAn entity of darkness and power.  At the same time, there was something about it's form.  If players would try taking the time to understand what it looked like, they would find it impossible, unable to comprehend it's new form.  It would be hard to follow with one's eyes as it seemed to be everywhere.  The world around them would have become pitch black if it weren't for the soft glittering light.  The Priest's blessing which still hung in the air.  Without it, they would be fighting blind.  A voice spoke up.  "I told you, there is no stopping me.  My power is beyond your comprehension.  I cannot be killed by pathetic mortals.  You only irritate me further.  I'm done playing games."

Artamiel began a barrage that struck at every player in the area.  No one could escape it's reach, as it was everywhere at once.  It's shadows would attempt to throw the players into each other, across the field, forming into spears that would thrust through the players, hacking and cutting at them.  All of them received damage from Artamiel before it spoke again.  "As for you Hestia.  Perhaps I should show you what happens when you try to heal and protect your friends."  Just like that, Artamiel committed another assault on Hestia's entire party.  With Macradon and Baldur's irritating Safeguard out of the way, it was able to land it's attack on them.  Artamiel was through, and it was clear how powerful he was.  He was striking fast and hard.

Passive Abilities

Flames of the Damned - On a critical hit, Artamiel applies the <<Flames of the Damned>> status effect that deals 60 points of damage for two turns.  Can't be activated with his attack Revenge or Destruction of Gaea.  Deals 90 additional damage on critical hits.
Creature of Sins - For every player who has killed another player, Artamiel gains 30 damage.  +120 damage  (Seul, Calrex, Macradon, Zandra)
Ethereal Form - Artamiel is immune to stun sword arts, Thorns effects (any effect that deals damage to Artamiel upon him dealing a physical attack), ???
Soul Stealer - For every player Artamiel kills (or removes from combat after said player fails to post 3 times), it gains a Soul Orb.  These wispy blue orbs grant Artamiel +20 damage, 5 MIT and 10 HP regen per turn.  Killing a player with a familiar grants him two soul orbs, one of these being the familiar's.  (+40 dmg, 10 MIT, 20 HP regen)

Fallen Creature - Artamiel is immune to all fallen effects.

Field Effects

These are applied to players who do not carry a cross necklace with them, given out by the priests.


Unholy Ground : Players lose 1 base damage, 6 Mitigation, 2 stealth points, and 5% total health healed
Veil of Shadows : Fallen damage is rendered useless against Artamiel.  When having Holy damage on their weapon, players only receive half that enhancement's benefit.  Artamiel gains +30 damage for every player in hiding in that round.  All players gain +2 stealth bonus.
Corruption of Angel's Point : All sword arts have a 1 post cooldown.

 

A field buff provided by the priests.

Divine Blessing  :  All players regenerate 2 points of energy every round.  Stacks with normal energy regen.

 

Overall Results of Sinful Choice

<<Judgement>> : Any status effect applied to Artamiel is also applied to the player who activated said status effect.  If Artamiel receives thorn damage, the player it received said damage from is also dealt thorns damage.  Artamiel permanently loses 10 MIT

There, Ruby was safe. At least for now. Though she didn’t knew how many healing crystals Shield had in his arsenal, she could only hope he had at least one more. The tank of their party probably already knew what he should do, but Zandra still felt she wanted to extra check with him. Espacially now that a life was close to be lost. At least they wouldn’t take any damage until after the other party. ‘’Shield, you healing Ruby right? Would be great if you had another crystal, I’m definitely going to stack up on some for next fight. Bless you for bringing it.’’ Then she turned to Itzal and Ruby. But just as she was gonna say something, several tendrils pierced her body. She let out a short ‘’oh.’’ Like she got surprise by the weakness of his attack. Since she had been striked by a single target attack it should probably meant to be strong. But her health bar only dropped by a fourth. ‘’Really? Is this all you can do?’’ she said to the boss with a giggle. Then she got pierced again, by shadow spears this time. She held her ground with a steady stance. Though the shadows did even less then the tendrils. She turned to Ruby and Itzal. ‘’Ruby, Itzal. Charge that thing with all you got. Focus on damage instead of healing now Ruby, trust me,I wont let you die today.’’

With that she planted the axe in the ground beside her and opened her battle ready inventory. There she took out the item she so rarely used, but this was a perfect time for that. She took out a warhorn with amphibian theme. She inhaled before she put it to her lips and blew it. The sound from the horn was herd across the whole battlefield. @Morgenstern @Hestia @Calrex @Macradon @Baldur She blew it for as long as she could, the air vibrating around the players and the boss. When the sound had faded away, a paralyse status icon appeared beside the boss. Even if he was everywhere, he couldn’t escape the sound that was everywhere as well. ‘’NOW!! CHARGE!!’’ she screamed for everyone to hear. ‘’BURST HIM DOWN!!!’’

Shield kept his eyes active, moving around through the dark cloud to keep his senses sharp. His hand swiped and drew out another crystal. The slot disappeared as he did so, and he sighed. "Not a problem, Zandra! But you owe me a fresh stack of crystals after all this!" he teased, crushing the last of his mass heals. The health gauges of his party ticked up a little, and he stepped nearer to Ruby, extending his sword and tapping her shoulder with the flat of his blade. Her health surged a second time, the bar turning a bright, healthy green. With everyone's health now in the safe range once again, he turned his full attention to the battlefield.

"That last health bar was... an odd occurrence. Perhaps an optical effect to hide it. Who knows? In any case, I doubt the thing has many more forms, so we just have to weather the battlefield effects just a little longer." He called out in response to Zandra. "You heard the lady! Hit fast and hit hard! He's in the red, and the harder we hit, the faster this last form will last! Let the support worry about support!" He locked his eyes on Artemiel's indistinct form. It was physically uncomfortable to do so, but he just needed to hold aggro for a little longer.

Ruby had just looked at the boss at the defeat of her own emotions, she clearly just couldn't figure out entirely what to say back. Ruby had placed a hand onto her forehead just trying to figure out words to be said hopefully not to be rushed or misunderstood... however not much had came to her mind. It wasn't that she didn't care for the others that were around them, more so that she knew they were perfectly alright with no problems. Ruby had sighed and looked to her HP bar and sighed at the shorter number than what she had been comfortable with, only to be extinguished as Shield healed some of it back, Ruby smiled at the man and said out to him "Thanks, I owe you a favor or two." then she had looked over to the boss and said out to it "Look, I am not going to argue with you. You simply would never understand me, I have free will. Unlike you. Time to end you, or die trying." she ran forward and slammed her fist against the bosses head like area.

Itzal was getting a bit frustrated at how people were still mocking the boss after what it did to Hestia.  Even more so the boss apparently had a fourth health bar.  That made sense seeing as how it was the deceiver.  The creature made another Field AoE attack, and luckily for him he didn't receive a critical hit.  Hestia however was dealt yet another massive blow.  When he heard Zandra taunt the fallen angel he sighed.  Could she not see the damage Hestia received?  No matter.  He readied his sword and rushed after the fallen angel when he realized:  It was everywhere.  Whatever it was becoming, he couldn't keep track of it.  Not just that, it was hard for his mind to process it.  It even hurt his head trying to comprehend it.  Itzal unleashed his AoE sword art on the fallen angel.  Due to the sword art used however, it was pathetically weak damage, despite being a critical hit.  His paralysis and bleed did proc though, so he was interested to see what would happen...

Artamiel was very irritated with these players at this point.  Acting so high and mighty, powerful when they weren't.  The noise that Zandra sent Artamiel's way pushed it away a little bit, but that was all.  Artamiel no longer had a form the players could comprehend.  It was unaffected by their powers.  Their words and laughter were a nuisance at best.  Zandra was having everyone go on the offensive but from what it received Artamiel merely scoffed.  This was their best?  Pathetic.  The fallen angel created a wave of energy that silenced the entire field, getting the nuisance out of the way.  With that gone it turned to the player who tried to apply paralysis and bleed with his sword.  Artamiel simply scoffed as the electricity could find nothing to cling onto and simply vanished in the air.  The fallen angel didn't seem to notice the damage either.  "You think that little horn can do anything to me girl?  You think you mortals can inflict me with trifles?  You couldn't be more wrong."  Artamiel turned it's attention on Shield and Ruby and loomed over them.  "You like to think yourselves invincible do you?  The undying Shield and the uncaring Ruby.  Let me show you how vulnerable you truly are!"  it roared as it sent a wave of darkness over them.  When the shadows dispersed they'd stand there with a little under a hundred gashes across them and the damage dealt.

Passive Abilities

Flames of the Damned - On a critical hit, Artamiel applies the <<Flames of the Damned>> status effect that deals 60 points of damage for two turns.  Can't be activated with his attack Revenge or Destruction of Gaea.  Deals 90 additional damage on critical hits.
Creature of Sins - For every player who has killed another player, Artamiel gains 30 damage.  +120 damage  (Seul, Calrex, Macradon, Zandra)
Ethereal Form - Artamiel is immune to stun sword arts, Thorns effects (any effect that deals damage to Artamiel upon him dealing a physical attack), and all status effects.
Soul Stealer - For every player Artamiel kills (or removes from combat after said player fails to post 3 times), it gains a Soul Orb.  These wispy blue orbs grant Artamiel +20 damage, 5 MIT and 10 HP regen per turn.  Killing a player with a familiar grants him two soul orbs, one of these being the familiar's.  (+40 dmg, 10 MIT, 20 HP regen)

Fallen Creature - Artamiel is immune to all fallen effects.

Macradon would yawn for a short while, waiting for this fight to get interesting, and it finally did. As Artichoke was reaching his final stage, all demi-hell broke loose. Macradon would smile and look at @Hestia and replied “Don’t worry, this Scarlet Templar here can take a good punch” he said and would hold up his arm, flex it and grab his bicep with his other in a sign of courage and might as a joke. He took in a deep breath and would prepare for the worst as torrents of damage would come in the way of the parties. Thinking of the direness of the situation, Macradon would use his tactical brain, "Heh" he thought of that statement, and quickly think of a way to protect Hestias as long as possible for her to join without being in too much danger "Oi, someone do that Switch thingie with Hestia, she could use some downtime to recover from the bitternes of this Artichoke!" he called for his party, for someone to switch out with her and take the brunt of the force that would come their way for a while. As the darkness grew and torrents of shadows were hurled at the parties, damaging most while finally depleting Macradon of his safeguard. Macradon would chuckle and smirk at the big winged beast, mocking it further "So it took you a field wide aoe to finally be able to land hits on me, congrats, you're at the level of a normal raid battle now, only a few health bars too late". And with that remark, an attack quickly arrived to hit Macradon's party, who he now was in charge of the tanking roll since Hestia had been taking most of the hits up untill now. Macradon wasn't a tank, but he should be able to handle a few round of beaing beaten up. With the winged beasts's second attack, beacause it was too useless with a single, so now it needed a second one to seem like a threat, Macradon would stand his ground and take in what would come at him. A big chunk of damage would be dealt as a single bash, knocking Macradon back enough that he had to take a step back to at least try to stand his ground "Damn, this artichoke it bitter!" he said with a smile, holding his own morale high.

It seemed that the event boss still had more tricks up its sleeve before this battle would be concluded. With another form shift the silhouette of the former fallen angel became...formless for lack of better description. The darkness that was originally condensed into the humanoid shape of its previous form spread out as if to engulf the entirety of the thirteenth floor landscape. It was becoming more and more difficult to discern individual objects, but to their luck it didn't seem to function like the darkness of the tenth floor caverns, which had an actual mechanical debuff to their characters, especially with the blessing giving enough light for them to see. The only thing that didn't seem to give the Ultramarine Knight concern was the change in voice, as he had heard such an effect in the past from other games as an attempt to instill fear in the player, but his mind had already broken it down to mere sound manipulation. "Another phase shift means that more abilities are coming as well. It's already done that for each of its forms, and that means it's gonna be using even more powerful ones now."

As if on cue suddenly a massive barrage of tendrils shot out from seemingly every direction, enough that it even proved impossible for him to avoid. However, to his surprise the bluenette noticed that it had attacked the entire raid party, and not just the one that was just attacking the event boss, "That's certainly going to be a problem, especially since that means players can potentially be attacked twice before they're able to act." At the same time Artamiel still seemed to retain the immunity to effects from its previous forms, as Zandra's normally helpful horn Stun didn't have any effect on it. Her call to burst down the boss at this point was almost a given, but there was something else that had Calrex's attention at the moment.

Hestia's health bar had entered the low yellow zone, and Ruby's was in critical red. This made him grit his teeth more than any critical hit on himself would. The others might have been occupied with taking the boss down, but he already knew that they were in very dangerous territory. Going from their past attacks, there was still the chance that Artamiel would survive with a sliver of health and unleash yet another mass party AOE attack that could wipe out at least one of the two low health players unless they did something immediately. Unfortunately, he didn't have any healing abilities, nor could he actually use anything on Ruby since she was in the first party. That meant there was the chance that the AOE attack would happen before anyone could actually do anything to stop it.

Cursing under his breath and pulling out one of his Safeguards the bluenette moved over towards @Hestia as he crushed the potion in his hand before sprinkling the contents over her avatar, the flash of a single attack shield appearing briefly before fading back to normal. "Can't have one of the only frontline healers going down can we?"

"That should be enough of a buffer in case a double attack happens again, although I'm not sure it will be enough to prevent a potential triple. Still we need to get Ruby back into the green as well if possible. Come on guys, for supposed strategists you're forgetting what's right under your nose!"

Looking over towards Macradon who seems to be rather willing to play the tank i smile towards the man with only thankfulness and gratitude for his actions a small bit of tears coming to my eyes from the simple fact that others are willing to pick up my slack. From my failure of actualy being prepared for this and treating this like the floor bosses which had only been easy and smooth sailing which now comes to bite me in the a**. Suddenly i see a new status effect appear next to my healthbar a familiar one in fact as i glance towards Calrex as i can't help but cry at that point for a short bit before i quickly compose myself as i smile towards him as i get into a battle ready stance as my sword ignites into a low blue energy surrounding it. Calrex, thank you for protecting me and allowing me another turn. Lets count this hit as the @Calrex hit now shall we? Time to see what this tank can do. I say with a small chuckle as i activate charge as my foot digs into the ground as i rocket forward blade in hand as i move towards the angel with a smirk having never attacked it since it wasn't my place to do so as a tank except until now. Not until i had everything to lose and so little to gain is when i could actually strike against the creature. When hearing Mac give the command to ask for a switch i keep in mind how the rarely used command words as i nod towards him with a serious look within my blue colored eyes as i rush forward.

Running up towards the being that looks like it is entirely made of shadows with tendrils that seemingly are whipping around the battlefield with a wave of darkness and force washing through the battlefield i charge towards the creature until i get close to it with a smirk of pride and a look of happiness shining within my blue colored eyes. This is why i help people Artamiel! because while you think we'd go against each other at a second notice all it takes for us to bound together is simple acts of kindness and the true act of being a human! To care for one another! To have sympathy for each other! To be able to stand by one another and help each other survive and live! We are human unlike you, you bits of data! I am hestia future chief of the APD and warden of Aincrad's jail that i will set up! Remember that name in the few fleeting moments of life you have left against the united Aincrad frontlines! Oh Yeah one more thing you half pint of darkness. BALDUR SWITCH! I yell at the creature as my blade would cut into the creature with one slice after the other as i would smirk happily and have a look of unshakeable pride and faith within that single moment. With the end calling out to Baldur as i would back away to let him get the attack in.

When the boss should have shattered, it instead gained another, hidden health bar.

This sets up some very bad precedent for fights coming up.

The azure samurai was finally hit, the boss unleashing a torrent of undodgeable AoE attacks that filled the entire field, and undid what little they had been able to do to stymie the injuries to their allies. The boss then seemed to grow into a nebulous form. Whatever edgelord game dev who designed this boss was certainly going for broke with the theatrics, but the game was a game. A demon or fallen angel would never intimidate him, because it was still just a coded NPC in a video game. The threat of death was real, and he was greatly concerned for Ruby and Hestia, but he was not intimidated by the boss, nor scared of its power.

Baldur had been here before. He had been in Ruby's shoes. Azide had died that fight.

Hestia had not. She was a tank, and someone he released he cared for greatly. His mind raced, trying to find a way to help her, when his kouhei beat him to it. The boy had the presence of mind to use his cooldown period of reduced damage to use a safeguard potion on Hestia.

"Ruby or someone, use a safeguard and a teleport crystal to get her out of here!"

Then, Baldur heard Macradon suggest a switch, and so Baldur called out to her, "Hestia! Switch!"

Crushing the Group Heal Crystal he had ready, Baldur watched as Hestia attacked and Baldur waited, trying to time it just right as switching was something he rarely did. As she called out to him, he shot forward like a flash of blue and orange light, the crimson arc of light coming from the cursed blade crashing into Artamiel as Baldur and Hestia used the trick to fool the computer system that operated Artamiel into replacing Hestia's hate with his. Hopefully this would buy her the time she needed.

Horror itself would display itself. He hadn't managed to be able to move in last round but now he was more than ready. As he prepared to charge forward, he would watch as the creature would explode. Instead of exploding into pixels like it was supposed to, a hidden health bar would appear. Its form would become incomprehensible, hurting his brain every time he tried to make out an outline. He felt sick, but he lifted his weapon.  He looked to his party's health. Many of them, were starting to get low. This boss in its fourth and final form was far too strong. They would have to end it, and end it rather soon. Its last health bar had taken a hit, but they had taken far too many. As Hestia had to pull away from the main damage, Baldur would be called to the playing field for the second most hate. "Wait..." he would speak. Why had he been stupid to allow Hestia to give her hate to Baldur. He reached to his belt, going to grab one of his health crystals. Empty. 

'Did I forget to place my items in the battle ready inventory.... I could have saved people... I screwed up again.' I can't take it from him now, but he could in a few turns. Baldur wouldn't be able to last long playing tank. He wouldn't be able to get them to give their hate... so he would have to create his own. Stepping forward, he would do something he had sworn he would only do in the case of an emergency. Be a tank. 

"HEY, IF YOU'RE GONNA PULL A FAST ONE, THEN BRING IT" He would shout, using a focused howl. Of course however, the hate wasn't enough. "Damn it, its gonna take another time"

Artamiel was once again on the fence about this entire fight.  Half the players were realizing the danger they were in, and it relished in that fear and understanding.  Whereas the other half were still mocking Artamiel and it's power.  It watched as Calrex took out a potion, sending it to Hestia who drank it.  The fallen angel watched as the magical shield formed around her to shield her from the fallen angel's next attack.  It irritated it, to see players working together so quickly even after the destruction it had caused.  Then Hestia called out to it, telling the fallen angel why she helped others.  It of course made it furious that it was failing to break these players.  If anything it seemed the fallen angel was helping these players grow in friendship.  Was this why he was allowed to assault the earth?  Had God intended this from the beginning?  The thought infuriated the fallen angel beyond measure.  When Morgenstern taunted the fallen angel it just pushed him with enough force that would send most people flying.  "ENOUGH!"  It's shadows exploded outward.  However in his sheer hate he had failed to hit everyone.  At the same time, he memorized who he had missed and would get pay back soon enough.

The fallen angel Focused in on Baldur and Macradon, but it was mostly Macradon.  It's shadows pierced, slashed, struck him, with a powerful amount of force.  "YOU WANT TO DIE SO BADLY?  BE MY GUEST!!!"  It would not stand for this.  The fallen angel had come here to corrupt this land.  To twist and distort it.  To let loose the hordes of hell across the landscape.  To ruin God's domain.  And yet he was just being used by God to help unite these people?  He wouldn't stand for it!

Flames of the Damned - On a critical hit, Artamiel applies the <<Flames of the Damned>> status effect that deals 60 points of damage for two turns.  Can't be activated with his attack Revenge or Destruction of Gaea.  Deals 90 additional damage on critical hits.
Creature of Sins - For every player who has killed another player, Artamiel gains 30 damage.  +120 damage  (Seul, Calrex, Macradon, Zandra)
Ethereal Form - Artamiel is immune to stun sword arts, Thorns effects (any effect that deals damage to Artamiel upon him dealing a physical attack), and all status effects.
Soul Stealer - For every player Artamiel kills (or removes from combat after said player fails to post 3 times), it gains a Soul Orb.  These wispy blue orbs grant Artamiel +20 damage, 5 MIT and 10 HP regen per turn.  Killing a player with a familiar grants him two soul orbs, one of these being the familiar's.  (+40 dmg, 10 MIT, 20 HP regen)

Fallen Creature - Artamiel is immune to all fallen effects.

Unholy Ground : Players lose 1 base damage, 6 Mitigation, 2 stealth points, and 5% total health healed
Veil of Shadows : Fallen damage is rendered useless against Artamiel.  When having Holy damage on their weapon, players only receive half that enhancement's benefit.  Artamiel gains +30 damage for every player in hiding in that round.  All players gain +2 stealth bonus.
Corruption of Angel's Point : All sword arts have a 1 post cooldown.

Divine Blessing  :  All players regenerate 2 points of energy every round.  Stacks with normal energy regen.

Shield cursed loudly, though under the tumult of the fight, it was not likely many would even notice. He checked his inventory, discovering that he had misread his crystal count. With a sigh of relief, he pulled out one mass heal crystal and crushed it, watching it tick his heath back up.

But not enough.

He then took out the crystal that Itzal himself had traded him, hesitating before tapping the playback button on the recording. Immediately, an inspirational song flooded the battlefield, and his health grew once again. He selected one more item and made to send it to another player.

"It looks like Itzal needs this the most right now," he called out over the inspirational tune. "But, this is a warning to everyone. I need to start preparations to extend this fight as long as I can. I will support when able, but if you can't stay standing without serious healing, then you need to make your choice: risk your life for a few more hits, or take the safe retreat."

His own health was in a much safer place, and with both his Riposte and his familiar's abilities nearly ready to use again, he would hopefully be able to turn things around in a moment. However, after that, it would indeed be a bleak fight. "I'm not much in the habit of letting braggadocious upstarts intimidate us, but we are where we are. Fight or flight, people!"

Ruby had looked over to Shield warning people to becareful about the attack and listing his options about whats to come, Ruby had simply nodded her head and looked to the boss in which had now been speaking out in frustration. Ruby had giggled "Ah, look at him. This so called "diety" now getting mad and frustrated. Cockiness gets you no where but death my friend, perhaps gods once you die will determine what happens to you next." then she had made the motion to cracking her knuckles moving forward and punching the boss one more time but with a different attack since she is forced to at least. However from what she could tell she was doing a good chunk of it, so she really couldn't complain too much. She had let out a sigh and thought to herself "How much longer does this go on? I don't think I will have enough energy for more than two attacks..."

This boss battle was really something else. Shield had been using healing items for several rounds now. He did dropped down to below half, the rest of the party was also dropping. Ruby had been very low, but suddenly her health was close to full but Itzal on the other hand was very low. Or not very, but he wasn’t in a position where he was safe either. Zandra was thinking if she should heal him up or charge the boss. After seeing Shield safeguarding him, she decided they needed to kill this creature as soon as possible. So she followed Ruby and swung her axe, didn’t knew what or if she hitted. But it did seemed so, the healthbar of Artamiel was dropping a bit. It wasn’t much left on the healthbar by now. They had been grinding thru it and soon, soon this would be over. Just, just a little bit more.

The players were starting to take this seriously.  Except for that Ruby individual.  He was going to ensure that-  Artamiel hesitated on it's attack.  What the hell?!  It didn't know how, but somehow the health of Ruby and Itzal, switched!  Did they have a hidden power amongst them?  Was there something else going on here?  It fell silent as it made it's guess.  That d*mn, almighty, caring-  It was God!  Protecting his 'sheep' and keeping them from perishing!  Well if the Lord wanted to bend the rules and break the system to protect his 'children' then the fallen angel would just have to work harder!  All of Artamiel's power surged with hatred and it rushed in to attack.  It's main focus being on Sheild and Ruby.  It had managed to strike the immovable Shield with ease, blasting away nearly half his health points with a single blow.  Ruby however, managed to avoid his powerful strike.  It felt like it was being held back, and nearly roared with hatred at God's intervention.  "Don't think that because God showed mercy on you this time girl, that you're safe.  I'll end you swiftly enough!"

Passive Abilities

Flames of the Damned - On a critical hit, Artamiel applies the <<Flames of the Damned>> status effect that deals 60 points of damage for two turns.  Can't be activated with his attack Revenge or Destruction of Gaea.  Deals 90 additional damage on critical hits.
Creature of Sins - For every player who has killed another player, Artamiel gains 30 damage.  +120 damage  (Seul, Calrex, Macradon, Zandra)
Ethereal Form - Artamiel is immune to stun sword arts, Thorns effects (any effect that deals damage to Artamiel upon him dealing a physical attack), and all status effects.
Soul Stealer - For every player Artamiel kills (or removes from combat after said player fails to post 3 times), it gains a Soul Orb.  These wispy blue orbs grant Artamiel +20 damage, 5 MIT and 10 HP regen per turn.  Killing a player with a familiar grants him two soul orbs, one of these being the familiar's.  (+40 dmg, 10 MIT, 20 HP regen)

Fallen Creature - Artamiel is immune to all fallen effects.

Unholy Ground : Players lose 1 base damage, 6 Mitigation, 2 stealth points, and 5% total health healed
Veil of Shadows : Fallen damage is rendered useless against Artamiel.  When having Holy damage on their weapon, players only receive half that enhancement's benefit.  Artamiel gains +30 damage for every player in hiding in that round.  All players gain +2 stealth bonus.
Corruption of Angel's Point : All sword arts have a 1 post cooldown.

Divine Blessing  :  All players regenerate 2 points of energy every round.  Stacks with normal energy regen.

The battle was closing in and the frontliners were far beyond the endgame beginning. Sacrifices has been made, voluntarily or not, Beat and Seul had left the battle, coccuning into spheres of darkness that Artichoke siphoned energy from. Macradon would grit his teeth as things were getting difficult, a lot of players had reached the lower yellow zone, and one even hit the red zone. Things were getting critical, Macradon wasn’t too sure of what to do now, but his instincts kicked in with a ferocious roar of Belphegor’s three heads, echoing throughout the battlefield. With a roar, puny in comparison to the hellish beast, but loud enough to boost his own morale, and would rush up towards the the winged best. "Ok everyone, let's land the last few punches on this guy, he's getting low, we should be able to do it! @Hestia if you feel like flying off, do it for your own safety, if you feel like pushing through, stand together with the rest of us and show this boss who's boss!" Macradon said, shouting to his party to get them heated for these final minutes of the fight. As Macradon got close, Macradon woud mutter “I’m Sorry Dom, I have to go all out, just this ONCE! and turned it into a battle roar as he jumped up into the air. Replying to the winged beast’s "...BE MY GUEST!!!Macradon would continue the song while executing his sword art <Galaxy Destroyer>

he sang while cleaving into the Artichoke with the Blade of the Dictator, with its Holy and Phase properties shining through, dealing a good chunk of damage compared to his steady damage flow over time.

Baldur watched as they seemed to get lucky, dodging the boss' AoE attacks and managing to keep Ruby, Itzal, and Hestia around one more round. This was the best case scenario they could have hoped for, but it was almost time for the boss to use it's field attack AoE, and their group was still teetering on the edge of oblivion. Switching with Hestia should keep her from dying this round, hopefully she could get some battle-healing in, but Baldur saw his health tick down from the poison.

Tsk.

He hadn't realized that the boss had finally exceeded his antidote protection. It wouldn't matter for Baldur himself, but for everyone else it's additive effect could hurt.

He glanced over at Hestia's HP, and felt his stomach drop once again. Her HP was getting too low for his comfort. Even though the boss as almost dead, he wasn't going to gamble with her life over an consumable in his inventory. He hadn't healed her earlier because the fight was almost complete, but even though he was sure this would be the final time, it was better to buy another item than miscalculate and lose Hestia.

He crushed a healing crystal in his hand and energy flared up around each person in party #1 as they ticked up just a little bit.

"Good work team 1! Now, team 2, let's finish thing, again!"

Baldur whipped <<muramasa>> around once more, the black and red katana glowed with a blood colored crimson light as it charged up the sword art. He didn't have a physical target, so he let the system handle that. He didn't need to dodge a weapon, just attack the darkness, and the bright light of his sword art did just that, fighting back the darkness as it was filled with the light of his healing crystal and the arcs of light from his sword art <<San Ge>>

I watch the events happen rather quickly around me as i just focus on the health bar as i watch it drop into the halfway point and it seems even a bit beyond that as i than here Macradon reference a person named Dom. Pausing my eyes widen for the briefest of moments and gains a rather eager grin knowing that Macradon knew one of the people with a unique skill, and more importantly the person at least somewhat personally. 'More people i can interview for my notes so i can try to figure out what type of person they were, and just their general story. Though it would be disappointing if this Dom isn't the one i am thinking about.' I think to myself rather happily as i than chuckle at the little singing of Beauty and the Beast that Macradon does. I than see my HP shoot up once more quickly followed by Baldur striking at the angel once more and lowering it's HP bar. Sorry guys but i am going to stay safe and just use the safeguard. I call out as i take out the item that calrex traded me as i quickly crush the item as i gain the nice little status next to my HP as i nod my head feeling safe for the moment. 'It's okay Hest just stay calm and continue pushing forward that is all. You can make this. You will live. You are doing just fine.' I think to myself over and over again to keep myself calm.

Poison and Battle Healing Cancel Out

The battle was drawing to a close, at least from what the bluenette could determine. Artamiel was close to it's last chunk of health bar, plus it seemed the people that were under potential threat were now reasonably brought back up in health. The only person that was still of concern was Hestia, who was still in the critical red zone, on top of the fact she was also poisoned from Artamiel's previous attack, "This is really cutting it close. Might need to use one more..."

Before he could produce another safeguard potion, he watched as the healer-tank produced and consumed one, the barrier returning. With a brief smirk beneath his helm the Ultramarine Knight faced forward...or what he considered forward, "Guess that means I can focus once again on attacking. Unfortunately I can't switch back to Martial Arts just yet, but at least I've got my strongest single target for axe back..."

Hefting the Grand Legionbane so that it rested against his shoulder Calrex gave a small exhale as he centered his stance, the massive axe-sword weapon burning bright blue before he leapt skyward, pulled by the assisted system. At the apex of his jump his body was pulled forward into a front flip as he let his weapon come forward, building momentum before he brought it down in another helm strike. As he descended he kept the axe parallel to the ground and in front of his descent, as if he were performing a massive push cut for his entire descent, "Screw..."

Upon the axe-head making contact with the ground an echoing hollow ring emanated as the bluenette landed, a long blue tear present in the darkness from his attack before he completed the name of the Sword Art , "...Dimension!"

With his roar the tear seemed to collapse on itself before bursting, the mirroring slash taking effect to deal the damage a second time. Standing upright Calrex lifted his weapon so that it rested against his shoulder once again.
