She looked into his eyes, attempting to read his expression. The words which spilled from his lips made less sense with every syllable, her mind short circuiting. None of it made sense to the woman, she hoped it was a misunderstanding. She could tell from his distraught expression that this was difficult to confess. "No... it can't be..." She was unaware of how hard she was squeezing Kiluia's hand. "Please tell me you're joking, Kil?" She searched for any sign, any reason not to believe him. When she had found none, she pulled away, clutching her forehead. Her expression contorted into one of confusion, of distress. "Five..?" She walked past him, repeating the same words until they sunk in her mind. On the way back to town, she was uncharacteristically quiet. She needed a moment to think and be alone with her thoughts in light of the revelation.
