Standing upon his balcony with a cup of fresh coffee, Oscar gazed out over his manor ground in the early morning light. Light caught in the drops of dew that still settled on the green foliage refracted, casting his home in vibrant splendor. He took a long sip of the bitter liquid, careful not to let the still-steaming beverage burn his throat. Bitterness shifted to a slightly-sweet taste. Earthy. He let out a contented sigh and placed the mug down on the banister. From his vantage, he could see that his slimes had propagated to a point where he could reap the benefits of them once again. But that merely begged the question of what he should do with the boon. He'd made a point to try and line up his slime farm use with highly-rewarding quests. He found himself running low on the latter. There were a handful left and they were either tedious or required a group to make them easier - which was a different tedium all its own. It was a difficult decision as none of the options were extremely appealing. So, without further recourse, Oscar picked a quest at random by flipping through his list rapidly and suddenly stopping the scrolling with his finger. He looked at the words under the tip of his right index finger and let out a heavy sigh.

"Cleansing the Corruption it is, then," he mused defeatedly.

He'd been hoping for something he could just knock out by himself. It might have been annoying but at least it would have been simple. Now he had to deal with organizing a party and buffing them. As he scrolled through his contact list, he considered who he wanted to bring with. Tarot members? No. Oscar loved his guild but there was only so much he could take of the same people. Variety was the spice of life, after all. Complete strangers then? No, it would help if he knew someone in the party. But who exactly did he want to bring with him? His eyes flicked to the contact of his go-to merchant and he was suddenly reminded of a stranger who did him a kindness not too long ago. He opened his message panel and fired off a quick note to the merchant.

Quote

Who was that guy who handed those event tickets off to me?
                                                                                     - Oscar

While he waited for the woman to respond, Oscar picked another contact at random and sent another message off. This one to a guild member.

Quote

To: @NIGHT
Yo, I'm getting a party together for Cleansing the Corruption. You in? I'm sending the coordinates to my house. If you're interested, stop by.

By the time he had finished sending that message, he heard a soft chime indicating that he'd received a message himself. Simmone was nothing if not prompt. Deft fingers tapped the message open as his free hand brought his coffee to his lips.

Quote

From: Simmone
Raidou. Surprised you don't know him. He runs my guild.

Oscar had to struggle to keep from spitting out his coffee. He hadn't even realized that he'd met the Guildmaster of Firm Anima. He felt like an ass for not recognizing him. But then he remembered he didn't have any obligation as a Tarot member to know every single leader of every single major guild personally. That contented him just a bit. He opened a blank message and sent what he hoped to be his final IM of the morning. He didn't know how people juggled so many conversations all at one time.

Quote

To: @Raidou
Hey. I'm that guy you helped out during the Easter Event. I got your contact info from Simmone. I was wondering if you'd be down for Cleansing the Corruption. I'm trying to get a group together. If you are, go ahead and meet me at my house at the enclosed coordinates. From what I hear, the quest isn't to be taken lightly even by a high-level party. Best to coordinate beforehand, no? Oh, and bring a friend if you like.

- Oscar

Preparations were made, invitations were sent out. All that was left to do was prepare. He headed back to his room, throwing on his clothes and grabbing both of his weapons. Conciliator had mentioned most of the people who did the quest were stopped by the sheer volume of cannon fodder that they needed to wade through. <<Tesseleth's Fury>> was great for bosses, but it didn't really excel at carving through monsters. <<Money Shot>> on the other hand did just the opposite. After sorting his equipment and consuming buffs, he wondered whether or not he'd need to furnish them for the rest of the group. He could certainly swing the Cook buffs, but they'd really need to get the damage potions on their own. Maybe they could mug Warren on their way out or something if they really needed to. In the end, however, all he needed to do at this point was wait. Deep down, he rather hoped that they didn't show so he could pick a less-annoying quest to run.

A pull of a pen across the page, the matter with Setsuna had been handled completely but he could not quite agree with her choice in moniker for him. He was no one's master and felt uncomfortable at her persistence for referring to him as such. With matters settled and the bandages wrapped around his ribs ready to be removed, it was time to head back out and continue to move the gears forward.

Ringing his HUD, Raidou takes to pause while he was fitting his gear to his body. Simmone? this late in the day something was off. "One of my patrons, the one you offered the vouchers to want's to know who you are." quickly transcribing a response to the merchant as a go ahead. A tear of his robe from the back of his chair before another message, from an unknown third but the name was familiar but he was unsure where from. Taking his words carefully to the text:

Quote

To: @Oscar

Understood, I will prepare accordingly and meet you there. I'll pull the strongest DPS I have at the moment to aid us.

Clicking sends it was off, working his HUD and opening the roster, transcribed is another sent to Haine.

Quote

To: @Haine

I may need your assistance with something if you are available, someone wishes to take on a difficult quest and I wish to offer them a hand.

The final message sent, Raidou fixes his frames to his face and slides his crimson robe around his shoulders. A change of plans that was welcome, it should prove more fruitful than his prior engagement would, an excellent change of pace, and a new set of contacts would be viable additions.

It was an unfortunate day for Oscar. NIGHT was more than ready to take down more avatars of the apocalypse. Something about her broker's research seemed to be off on the details; as such, repeat expeditions of the quest would net her answers to fill in the gaps. The loot and experience from the outing was only the icing on the cake.

Surprisingly, NIGHT hadn't been to Oscar's before. She'd followed the co-ordinates after sending him a quick tell:

NIGHT: omw

-- And what beheld her eyes when she'd arrived at the seventh floor was a building too big for words. NIGHT hadn't even seen an estate this large before, and the courtyard itself had already been enough to intimidate her. A whole courtyard? Paved paths towards the main entrance of the house? Hell, there were so many windows, she couldn't even count them all with a glance. The player checked her position twice, making sure she was at the right location, before rasping at the door, hoping that within the large space her guildmate would hear it.

Wait, was there a doorbell...?

Haine wouldn't admit she had a materialistic side.

Hailing from a family of wealth, the woman was no stranger to luxury at her beck and call. With a bat of her lashes, she swayed her doting father to purchase her heart's content. She had a meager sense of resourcefulness and times like these were a rude awakening. The bluenette scrunched her nose at her worn coat, a drab grey in all its utilitarian glory, courtesy of Setsuna. It was a far cry from Haine's feminine preferences, but she preferred the armor and her life a little more.

"Pink?"

Haine's attention trained on a particular pink sash, woven from a strange material she couldn't put a finger on.

"Ohmygod." She clasped her hands and gushed.

Haine leaned on her tip toes and reached for the hanger. To her chagrin, her height was a hidrance. She huffed her blue bangs aside and mustered all her tiny might. Clang! With one jump, she seized the sash. In the midst of her endeavor, a coat slipped off its hanger. She puffed her cheeks and knelt down to snag it. She appraised the violet velvet and held it up to her frame. "Sweeeet." Those two would do! They had the slightest harmony in style nor color, but she would sure as hell work it.

Haine marched up to the counter and waved at the NPC. "Yo, miss merch! How much for these?" She waved the fabric about.

"Twenty-thousand each."

Haine blanched. "W-Wait. Why so much?" She cringed. Haine had accumulated a comfortable amount of wealth, but she refused to blow it that easily. She would never hear the end of it from Kiluia. BUT! There was hope. Haine crossed her fingers over her chest, closed her eyes, and inhaled sharply. She opened her amber eyes with renewed vigor and insisted. "How bout'... fifteen?" Haine wiggled her eyebrows. Perhaps a bit of self proclaimed charm would do the trick?

Useless against the unenthused NPC.

Haine raised a finger in protest and stumbled over her words.

Thus began her sad march back.

"Tch, ripoffs. We don't need to shop here!" She scrunched her nose at the building and turned her attention to the cub beside her.  "That sash was tacky anyways." The cub yawned and shot his owner a beady eyed look. "Exactly," the woman cut in, as if she understood the cub. All he was concerned about was a place to crash.

A message chimed in her HUD and she peered at it. A request from cap for a trickier quest? Haine whistled. Spicy.

Quote

To: @Raidou

No prob cap! Be there in a min.

Haine arrived at the coordinates and did a double take. Was this the right place? Another glance at her coordinates confirmed she was. "Well I'll be damned." Haine whistled at the estate in all its opulence. It was larger than anything she'd seen in person before. "The dream, man." She made her way down the pathway. She spotted another figure rapping at the door. Party member? She clasped her hands behind her back and approached. She remained quiet out of sheer surprise with her surroundings.

With the party in the midst of gathering and all of his preparations complete, Oscar retired to the kitchen. He didn't often entertain company, but what kind of host would he be if he didn't provide some sort of refreshments to the group. With a trained deftness, Oscar cobbled together some sliders and his best rendition of a popular cola with the blue logo. The knock on his door came just after everything was arranged on his too-large dining table. Oscar promptly did an about face, removing his apron and folding it over his arm as he headed to the foyer. His free hand reached for the knob while his other draped the slightly grime-covered apron over the coat rack. Next to it was his weaponry and his usual accouterments. Intending to grab them on the way out, Oscar answered the door rather in rather disheveled - at least by his standards - state. Sporting black slacks and a white button-up shirt with hastily rolled-up sleeves, came face to face with a familiar face.

"Ah, Night. Always a pleasure," he said plainly. Ocean eyes shifted towards movement in the periphery. A second woman had joined them. His home was out of the way so adventurers didn't stumble upon it by accident. He regarded her presence with a nod. "Raidou's acquaintance, I assume. I'm Oscar. Please, make yourself at home. I've taken the liberty of providing some refreshments while we make our plans for the quest. Dining room is the first room on the right beside the staircase." He stepped aside, allowing the pair passage over his threshold. Raidou would likely be coming along shortly. He wouldn't have sent the woman ahead otherwise. Oscar thought it bad form to inquire about him if everything pointed at him coming along shortly.

Following the coordinates given into the long golden fields of Nimbus, already ripe with an innumerable amount of players in the early morning. With eyesight keener than most with little issue following the orientation the mansion was visible from town, its size offering it a larger footprint. "Here we go." Raidou mutters under his breath with a fix of his frames casting light from them. It does not take him long to parade the rise, entering the courtyard and sliding around the magnificent fountain. It was so large almost exorbitantly so, but the nomad was not one to judge. He makes for the entrance, pulling his red robe tight and taking a moment to stand quietly and collect his thoughts.

A tap of his hand against the large framed door, the light bleeding through a myriad of windows. He does his best to contain himself, a burning nervousness for introductions was not his strong suit. While he awaited a response, he produced what he had brought perhaps using them as a way to break the ice. Raidou did not perform well under optics in an individual basis, a habit he was still trying to break. The familiar on his stomach began to swell and tighten, a whisper down "It's fine, there isn't anything to worry about yet. I will not forget your payment."

Refreshments? Plans? NIGHT was exuberantly surprised at the degree of which they were taking this quest seriously -- the last time she'd ventured out with Yuki for it, her major complaint was a case of Too Many Enemies, and Famine's field condition of wiping her status effects. She'd only downed what she felt was necessary this round, and especially with Oscar's word of a party, she hadn't thought it too be just two players involved in the journey again.

They should be more than fine, NIGHT imagined. Still, she wasn't one to turn her nose up at the offer of free food.

The woman that had been previously acknowledged came as a surprise to NIGHT. Did he say she was Raidou's acquaintance? Some guy Raidou was turning out to be -- perhaps this was what it felt to be on the edge of the inner machinations of Aincrad's society. The ties of socialites were only starting to bury themselves in her memory at his name, and NIGHT made it a point to try and remember him and his groupies better.

Of course, the key word here was try.

She gave Oscar a nod before entering the manor, looking about for the stairs. First room on the right.

Got it.

The door opened, and before it revealed a man who matched the posh vibe of this estate. She was, in all honesty, mildly intimidated. She gave a nod of acknowledgement to both him and the woman beside her, a soft smile on her lips. "That I am." Was she always this awkward with introductions? Haine was always an extrovert through and through in most cases.  There was always an exception, especially once she'd joined Firm Anima. There was a whole lot of formalities and faces to meet, the serious vibes were getting to her. "Haine, Firm Anima's assault captain at your service!" She played it off with a clasp of her hands. She made her way through the door frame and all but did a double take at its interior. True to its exterior, it was opulent. Amber eyes roved over everything.

A moment later, a knock on the door snapped her out of her trance. She turned her head towards the source of the noise. Raidou was here just a beat later. She was grateful he came when he did, one familiar face would alleviate the awkwardness. Her expression lightened in anticipation.

With Raidou's late arrival the gang was all here. Sensing that the man was a touch uncomfortable, Oscar quickly shepherded everyone to the Dining Hall. The food was still hot - one of the benefits of being locked in a digital world - and the drinks still cold. "Please, sit. Eat. You'll have to forgive me as I have some final preparations to make." With a polite nod, Oscar retreated into his kitchen. From his inventory, he produced two food items - each carrying maximum Prosperity bonuses - and set to work combining them. It was a rather easy process. Slap them in the oven, touch a button, and let his house buff do the rest of the work. The oven defied the laws of physics and duplicated each of the hot dogs once, creating a lesser feast for the four of them to share. After plating them, he headed back to the Dining Hall and placed the small platter down on the table. "If you're thinking of being polite and not partaking, I'm afraid I must insist on this dish. I've called you all here to do Cleansing the Corruption. From what I've uncovered, we'll be dealing with a lot of fodder enemies. With this Prosperity buff, the quest can prove to be quite lucrative to all of us even discounting the boss fight."

Oscar sat down at the head of the table, deft fingers sliding through the menus and applying some formality to the gathering with a set of party invitations. "If only we had the Loot buff as well. Unfortunately, combining food items into a Feast has something of a cooldown so I would be unable to provide another. C'est la vie. Does anyone have anything they'd like to add before we get started?" He spoke with a calm familiarity, as if he didn't even recognize the fact he was breaking bread with strangers. He showed absolutely no sign of discomfort. Why would he? This was his home, after all. Though, he realized his blasé might be off-putting. He just didn't know of any other way to be.

OOC Rested [1/2]

Raidou was fighting with the uncomfortability that boiled within his breast, not only was he in a stranger's abode but it was a grand one as well with the offerings of a meal. He felt like a freeloader, placing what he had brought upon the table although he felt it paltry in comparison to the hospitality provided. His mind clung to the quest name as it was let loose from Oscar's tongue. Cleansing the Corruption Raidou removed his manual in black leather from his robe pocket and began to sift through the pages, eating between turns as he was trying to save some time. He had not its information at his disposal, he did not like the fact in the slightest. Accepting the invite as it was presented "These are some of the potent little consumables I have in stock." He'd look to NIGHT and recall the serpent, thinking that perhaps they were hardly in need for her as from his memory she used them as well.

Could you imagine coming in prepared for such a scenario? NIGHT couldn't. In fact, the only reason why she'd stowed away such a large sum of Ice Cream Mochis that had the exact buffs Oscar was half-heartedly musing about was out of sheer love for the food item; that and their vanity counterparts hadn't quite the impact she'd longed for with their taste. So it was with a mix of bemusement and embarrassment both that she'd summoned the multi-tiered feast to their table, laced around with a variety of different chewy frosty desserts, hoping her guild mate wouldn't ask for why exactly she'd apparently been of some clairvoyance.

Truly, it was out of love for the dish. Nothing more.

"I've been on this quest before," the player quickly added, moving on from her gift of food. "According to my informant, there's a variety of different bosses one can end up fighting. My companion and I managed to face off against Famine; seems to me that they're fashioned after one of the four horsemen. The deadliest thing I've seen from it is its ability to erase temporary buffs we might be carrying and striking all targets at once."

"Of course, despite its unique field ability, it goes without saying that we should still face it prepared."

She followed the aromatic trail. Lo and behold, there was the dining hall. She waddled in, her gait affected by a hint of clumsiness. Her surroundings seemed close to spotless, she was afraid to muddy the ground with her soles. She trailed behind the others and settled into a seat at the dining table. Arms folded into her lap, she let her mind wander a moment. She was never one for formalities, neither sharp nor observant. She had little to input with formal matters, but she could follow orders. She hoped that would be enough.

The presence of food was a good ice breaker.

On cue, the gluttonous bluenette salivated. Just a few snacks, but damn it, she was hungry. Cups and plates filled the tables with various feast buffs. "Well, don't mind if I do." Haine played off her awkwardness with a wave and went straight for her rations. She piled them onto her plate and scooted the chair forward. She stuffed her face and listened to the specifics of the quest. She trusted Raidou's judgment that they could best this quest, so there was little worry. Upon a quick perusal of her HUD and the information exchanged, she all but doubted her confidence.

The woman unscrewed the cap of a potion and held her breath. She chased the vile potion with an iced drink. She set the glass down and cleared her throat. "Understood. Is there anything else we should consider?"

"My companion and I managed to face off against Famine; seems to me that they're fashioned after one of the four horsemen. The deadliest thing I've seen from it is its ability to erase temporary buffs we might be carrying and striking all targets at once."

Ouch. That wasn't exactly getting them off to a fantastic start. All this effort that the team was going through to be prepared and one of the bosses could delete those effects with a snap of its fingers. Oscar's lack of desire to take this quest on for so long was almost prophetic. Nevertheless, there were four of them. He let out a small chuckle and leaned back in his chair. "If my fight against the Forgotten Time King taught me anything, it's that most enemies wilt if you throw enough bodies at it," he said with a grin. He let his words hang as he accepted the crystal from Raidou and ate a portion of the Feast Night had created. "Holy shit," he said after taking the first bite. "This is fantastic. I really need to branch out into desserts." He finished his food and wiped his mouth with his napkin. "Besides," he began, getting back on track. "I'm pretty sure we're all well above the recommended level for the quest. Speaking of levels. Night, when the hell did you overtake me?"

Oscar consumes Ice Cream Mochi [+3 LD], Golden Dog Feast [+3 PRS] and accepts Raidou's crystal.

Pouring over his notes in silence while others were discussing, until a word spoken removed his focus. "Forgotten Time King, if this is what we expect then numbers will be our saving grace." the nomad places his hand to his chest as it tingled in remembrance of the polearm stuck in it. "Energy consumption should not be taken lightly, Allow me to take the brunt of it and what they can dish out." he'd look to Haine and notice her lack of confidence slightly scratching away at her conscious "I'd rather not see any of you come to harm."

Most of his food had been left untouched while he read, the information given is more appetizing. He had eaten more than enough to obtain its benefits, what remained was nothing more than unneeded fluff. He'd leave the others to their devices and conversation, the wanderer's attentions dropping back to the page as to suspect out some method to the madness as he wrote into it:

FTK?

He stands and begins to extract himself, "I will take the helm, I have a pit stop or two to make first. I will meet you there, feel free to send me the floor location" Perhaps Hikoru would be the info broker strong enough to deal in such information, as he triggered tracking and to his surprise, a hit. It must have been intentional as if the player in question was actively seeking a buyer.

While the others would converse or do what they would, Raidou finds Hikoru amongst the rabble in concealment upon floor 7. A simple charade in a black cloak, drawing no attention in retrospect to the player to which he had become a beacon. "A visitor? Looks like you have need of something from me, its not exactly easy to track me down."

Raidou would take a seat, unsure of where the voice was stemming for the man eluded even his vision. "I need information regarding Cleansing the Corruption." he spoke softly as to not galavant his intentions to the abode. A soft response from the shadows "Perhaps I can offer you what I know, for the agreed upon price with some interest. You've deliberately sought me out, I prefer to be left alone but foolish me leaving my barrier off..."

A markup, given the short notice and the lack of supply on it, was expected. "How about a 25% increase on market rate?" The vanguard captain asked with a fiddle of his glasses, to which a response from a different trajectory. "We have a deal then..." Removing the coin and placing it upon the table, with the added surcharge for the premium. It vanishes and in its wake, a single slip of paper "Don't Lose it" spoken as Raidou leans forward to take it from the table, the marker upon his HUD disappears and fizzles out. The player no longer wished to be found...

Forgotten Time King? 'Throw enough bodies at it'? As much as she'd appreciated the strategy meeting, did they not perhaps seem to over-estimate the opponent's strength here, or was her first-hand experience nudging her subtly into the realm of comfort too easily? NIGHT rubbed the back of her head just as they'd discussed the issue with energy consumption -- she also didn't believe it would've been a problem with four whole players, adequately built for war as far as she was lead to believe. But who was she to argue with the stakes of preparation?

Just as Raidou left the table ('Oh, another monetary proposition to make, perhaps'), Oscar's line of questioning fell right back onto her, her guildmate apparently eying her status information. "Did I?"

It had only been several months ago that she'd expressed concerns about being the lowest-leveled player in her circle; in her training, she hadn't realized her exceeding numbers, bringing up her menus to review Oscar's own. "Beats me," she responded, waving the interface away once she'd taken in the details. "Maybe that's cause for me to take it easy one of these days..."

"--Haine, was it?" She'd decided better on biting the bullet now in making the other woman's acquaintance; for what it was worth, Raidou leaving his aide on her own not only informed NIGHT of his own busy schedule, but also his guild member's ability to fend for herself. Still, it would feel rather strange to be left alone, loitering about in a room with two other strangers. "I didn't think Firm Anima had an assault division nor a captain." The terminology sounded way too formal; what, was Firm Anima more an army rather than a gathering of friendly players? "If you don't mind me asking, what's your weapon of choice? There'll be quite a number of small fry to take out along the way, so any multi-target capabilities you can bring to the table would be appreciated."

Though quiet for the most part, the woman absorbed all relevant information. She'd heard of the notorious FTK before, the quest an unspoken badge of prowess for those who could best it, even more solo. If their current agenda was a fraction as comparable, it piqued her wariness. She nodded along at appropriate times, waiting for a moment to speak, albeit the words wouldn't form on her tongue. She moved to take a sip of her tea and stopped midway, heeding Raidou's absence from the table. With a resounding click, the door closed shut, leaving the woman among two unfamiliar faces. She cleared her throat and set the cup down.

Fortunately, an ice breaker had saved the moment. Soft brown eyes flickered to the ravenette. "That'll be me, yes." She mustered a soft smile and urged herself on. "We have several divisions, actually. It's a necessity with how fast the guild grows." Self-aware, she hoped to make a decent impression for her lack of input prior. "Assault, Vanguard, O&I, and Provisions." She continued on, brushing stray strands away from her eyes. "I have a maxed two-handed assault spear. I can wipe em' out no problem." She glanced among the two and moved her attention to Oscar. "So, a game of russian roulette! This'll be exciting."

blah blah blah conversation fun fighting mobs funner

NIGHT had to agree with Haine's statement as she paced off the teleporter on the thirteenth, reviewing the request from their priestly aid once more and leading her party through the wastelands to his position. It was almost as though Raidou had anticipated this -- his blood red blaze was carrying the winds just as she'd honed in to their destination. Oh, of course he would show up first, the woman bantered internally, watching the flame trail behind the player in his and Miraak's wake.

With the small hike of absolute silence towards the first landmark, NIGHT wasn't surprised to have found the same scenario play out with the cleric.

"Stay back!" He ushered his allies, a hand out to defend them from the various elements hazily growling back at them from the shadows and crevices of the ruins.

All the player could do was shrug and glance back at her party members.

"Uh. If you'll excuse me."

Fortunately for the bluenette, time was of the essence and it saved her from the uncomfortable pleasantries at the dining table. With a pep in her step, she greeted some fresh air out the door. The travel was brief and one filled with silence nonetheless. She zoned out on Aincrad's fine scenery to keep busy.

They intercepted a man in brilliant red garb, none other than Raidou. Haine spared a nod at her captain and Miraak. The premise of the quest seemed interesting, rich in lore unlike some others that were so painfully tedious. Find this random mob out of context, kill that, rinse and repeat. Something about priests, otherworldly entities, and russian roulette piqued her fancy.

The battle begun with an onslaught of ghastly pale figures, Diseased Ones, aptly named. She assessed the battlefield. Small fries, inconsequential with the prowess she assumed the group had. Tip of the woman's glaive glowed cyan as she powered it up. With one wide swoop, she sliced clean through the center of action.

Preparations were set and it was time to get rolling. The group filed out of Oscar's home and took their own routes to town. Oscar's hadn't been the fastest, so he found himself arriving on the field just after Haine's attack. Cleave was king here and of all the people in the group, Oscar had the strongest. Oscar closed the distance between himself and the Diseased Ones with a powerful leap, his sudden acceleration leaving a scar in the earth. He sailed through the air in a high arc, his weapon materializing in his hand with a flash of light and a hail of fractal polygons. Oscar spun the weapon over his head swiftly as he began his descent, driving the blade into the ground as he landed. The sudden burst of kinetic energy triggered a storm of slicing stone and earth, perforating the enemies in his immediate vicinity. He ripped his weapon from the ground and cleared the storm of dust he'd created with a mere slice from his weapon. "Keep it moving. Don't give them time to rally!"

Information purchased and read carefully, Raidou had some semblance of what to expect. What remained was no more than the veiled end. Ripping the darkened steel from its scabbard. "Agreed" Raidou muttered loosely standing with his blade drawn at Oscar's side, NIGHT clear as day and Haine spinning up a weapon. "Pardon the late arrival..." he spoke on to the group as ratcheting and reeling corpses began to break and fall from crags with a heavy thud. Another snap and the rose, almost folding back on their own heels before a hiss they leap. Connecting on steel, a dance of blade on bone with the swordsman showing practice to grinding metal. No damage wrought, no damage dealt but the red faint lines between his opponents and himself shown that creature's fate had been sealed. What little these hollow shells had managed to take from him, he breathed deep as his weapon drank at vitality sustaining himself on their anguish.
